Kate Steciw's works examine the evolving understanding of the physical object in relation to its digital representation and distribution online. Steciw is "interested in the collision between representation (mostly virtual or computer-mediated) and materialization which I think is so characteristic of contemporary experience." Informed by her 10 years of experience as a commercial photography retoucher, Steciw often manipulates stock images of objects into collages, removing them from their commercial context and reinterpreting the images as art objects. Because much of Steciw's work considers the object within the context of mass media and Web 2.0, her art can be associated with the postinternet movement.

The Vilamajó House Museum is the materialization of an initiative of the School of Architecture at the University of the Republic which, in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Culture, owner of the property, opened its doors to the public in May 2012. Surautomatism is any theory or act in practice of surrealist creative production taking, or purporting to take, automatism to its most absurd limits. In their 1945 statement Dialectique de la Dialectique, Romanian surrealists Gherashim Luca and Dolfi Trost wrote, :We have returned to the problem of knowledge through images... by establishing a clear distinction between images produced by artistic means and images resulting from rigorously applied scientific procedures, such as the operation of chance or of automatism. We stand opposed to the tendency to reproduce, through symbols, certain valid theoretical contents by the use of pictorial techniques, and believe that the unknown that surrounds us can find a staggering materialization of the highest order in indecipherable images. In generally accepting until now pictorial reproductive means, surrealist painting will find that the way to its blossoming lies in the absurd use of aplastic, objective and entirely non-artistic procedures.

The Grande Prêmio Brasil was first held in the first Sunday of August, 1933, and was the materialization of the then newly formed Jockey Club Brasileiro's president Linneo de Paula Machado, in organizating a race which reunites the best racing horses running then in Brazil. The first Grande Prêmio Brasil, in 1933, was won by the Brazilian-bred Mossoró, foal of the national sire Kitchner, foaled at the Pernambuco state, ridden by Justiniano Mesquita. Amongst the lure of this race, there are the five horses that won the race twice: the Brazilian-bred Albatroz (1943, 1944), Helíaco (1947, 1948), zenabre (1965, 1966) and VIllach King (1991, 1993); and the Argentine-bred Gualicho (1952, 1953), and the win of Brazilian-bred Narvik in 1959, breaking the world track record for the 3,000 meters (approximately miles; 15 furlongs), on the turf surface, a record that is still current at the Gávea racetrack. Initially ran at the distance of 3,000 meters (approximately miles; 15 furlongs), it was shortened to 2,400 meters in 1972, following new internationals standards.

The new tracks on the EP re- release were characterised as "Orthodox Death Metal", "for the band no longer use the word 'Satan' (ha-shatan) as a description of their religion, but leave the holiest essence of the Lord silent, as it forever should be, for it existed before the cosmos and eventually will bring to its primal form: No- Thing = Utter Spiritual Death". Yet Ofermod are still connected to Satanism; Belfagor stated that "our lyrics and most of all the presence conjured into our album in the process of making it is SATANIC in every way possible", and that he considers black metal and death metal to be "exactly the same, when it comes to the Cult, as it is the same satanic forces of Chaos we religiously devote ourselves to". The band refers especially to the Kabbalah and chaos as the dark counterpart to creation, which is seen as the true evil by Ofermod, but Belfagor also uses terms like evil for his own views, being evil from a cosmic perspective. According to Belfagor, "[t]he materialization of existence must and will be inverted, emanation by emanation, for it is a curse life has inflicted upon itself through manifestation".
