The council's outdoor recreation service and Shropshire Mines Trusts manage and preserve the site and have been awarded a £20,000 management grant from English Heritage to restore the Black Tom mine shaft headgear and some of the buildings. Their plans include assembling a building to store a mining jigger that was removed for restoration more than a decade ago. There are restored mining buildings to explore in the site, including a locomotive shed, winding engine house, blacksmith's shop, compressor house and Cornish engine. When the Republic of Hawaii was annexed by the United States in 1900, it took a special act of the United States Congress to secure the foreign-built ship the right to sail as an American flag vessel. To economize on crew, Matson rigged Falls of Clyde down as a barque, replacing the five yards on her (jigger) mast with two more easily managed fore-and-aft sails. At the same time, he added a deckhouse, charthouse, and rearranged the after quarters to accommodate paying passengers.

Bricks were carted in on the Stannary Hills tramway and then lowered on a rope tramway down the hill to the battery site. The battery was formally opened on 6 May 1903. Named "Jumping Moses", the 20 head battery, Huntington mill and Merton furnace were perched high on the steep hillside above the river. Sports news, like most news generally, often did not travel far in the days before radio and television, so, while the leagues often bristled at the major market writers descriptions, they viewed themselves as independent sports businesses. However, when Dilwyn's notebooks were interred at the V&A; Museum, South Kensington, London in 1920; Bilingsley's recipe was found, but had never used in Billingsley's absence. During the 15-minute wait to get it replaced, Roscommon moved the great Gerry O'Malley to midfield in a re-organisation and he inspired their comeback to enable them to win the Connacht Championship. It encompasses 183 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a mixed, residential, commercial, and industrial core of Johnson City. It developed between about 1888 and 1966, and includes notable examples of Romanesque Revival, Gothic Revival, Colonial Revival, and Streamline Moderne style architecture. Located in the district are the previously listed Goodwill Theatre, United States Post Office, and Your Home Library.
