She was once nursed back to health from a serious illness by Ruth Godbold, during which she had visions of a fiery chariot; Mary inwardly believes Ruth shares the same vision. With her new means, Mary hires Mrs Jolley to keep house for her. Jolley is outwardly religious but is soon revealed to be a callous, judgemental woman. The pair quickly develop a mutual fear and hostility of one another as Jolley strikes up a friendship with Mrs Flack, a kindred spirit and the town gossip who lives on her own in Sarsaparilla.

Steven Nicholas Jolley (born April 1950) and Tony Swain (born 20 January 1952, London, England) were a successful pop musician, songwriting and record production duo in the United Kingdom in the early to mid-1980s, producing some of the top artists and songs of the era. The pair met in 1975 when Swain was working as a television cameraman on The Muppet Show, where Jolley was sound technician and sometimes boom operator. They formed the band Chaser in 1975 with Richard Palmer (rhythm guitar and percussion), Nick Adams (lead guitar), Ray Bailey (bass) and Brian Grant (drums). Chaser released the single "Red Rum" (1975), written by Jolley, Palmer and Swain, on Polydor as a tribute to the famous racehorse.

Thomas Glenn Jolley (January 26, 1944 – March 20, 2014) was an anti-Vietnam War protester who renounced his U.S. citizenship in Canada. Soon after his renunciation, Jolley crossed back into the U.S. and began working in Florida. A U.S. federal court ruled that he was deportable, but the Immigration and Naturalization Service could not actually deport him to Canada because he had lost his Canadian landed immigrant status. He died in Asheville, North Carolina at the age of 70.

From 1950 to 1953, Jolley first appeared on television with six castings in different role in the series, The Lone Ranger reuniting him with his Crimson Ghost co-star Clayton Moore. He appeared twice in 1953 in the syndicated western series, The Range Rider. He made two appearances as Parker in Tales of the Texas Rangers, with series stars Willard Parker and Harry Lauter. Jolley guest starred as the henchman Walt, along with Clayton Moore and Darryl Hickman in the 1954 episode "Annie Gets Her Man" of the syndicated Western, Annie Oakley.

A full brother to 1965 U.S. Horse of the Year Moccasin, Ridan was the grandson of Nasrullah, a son of Nearco. Trainer Moody Jolley purchased him from Claiborne Farm as a yearling. Because the colt reminded Jolley of another Nasrullah colt named Nadir, he named him Ridan, which is Nadir spelled backwards.
Swain left to pursue a career as a songwriter/record producer while Jolley released a single and an album with The English Boys in 1980. "Venus" had been a part of Bananarama's repertoire for several years before they actually recorded it. The group's three members, Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward, had the idea of turning the song into a dance music tune, but they were met with resistance from their producers at the time, Steve Jolley and Tony Swain. Bananarama brought the idea to the production trio of Stock Aitken Waterman, and it became Bananarama's first collaboration with them. Dallin, Fahey, and Woodward had nearly completed recording their third studio album, True Confessions, with Jolley and Swain.

Later that year he defended Jack K. Riley, an African American soldier stationed at Fort Bragg convicted of distribution of anti-war literature in what he referred to as a "frame-up". In 1970 he defended four more soldiers on similar charges of promoting disloyalty. He represented Vietnam War protester Thomas Jolley before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (441 F.2d 1245 (1971)), unsuccessfully arguing that Jolley, who had renounced U.S. citizenship in Canada after receiving a draft notice and then returned to the United States, should not be subject to deportation.

Dowell has always been circumspect about his sexuality, but it is common knowledge that, soon after graduating from the Royal Ballet School in 1960, he began a romantic relationship with Derek Rencher (1932–2014), a handsome Royal Ballet dancer nine years his senior. The church dates from the 12th century. It comprises a west tower, nave, aisles and clerestory, a south porch and chancel with one bay, chapels and a vestry. It was restored in 1873 by Evans and Jolley from Nottingham, with the masonry work being carried out by William and Benjamin Doxey.

Edwin Jolley (June 1871 – after 1895) was an English professional footballer who made 21 appearances in the Football League playing for Small Heath. Jolley was born in Lozells, Birmingham. He attended Lozells Street School, and played football for local sides Guildford Street and Lozells before joining Football League Second Division champions Small Heath in August 1893. He made his debut on 2 September, the opening day of the 1893–94 season, playing at right back in a 3–1 win at home to Walsall Town Swifts, and scored two goals the following week playing on the right wing, but appeared only rarely for the first team, deputising for Caesar Jenkyns or Ted Devey in the half-back line, during that and the next season.

Bold Ruler was foaled at the same farm, on the same night, and both stallions won American Horse of the Year honors in their respective careers, returning to Claiborne to stand at stud. The church is medieval and the chancel remains, but the remainder was heavily restored and rebuilt in 1842 by George Gilbert Scott and William Bonython Moffatt. It was consecrated on 5 September 1844 by the Bishop of Lincoln. The organ chamber was added in 1876 by Evans and Jolley of Nottingham. A new lectern and chancel stalls were provided.

Gail Halvorsen ca. 1983Colonel Halvorsen's work with Operation "Little Vittles" not only won him international acclaim, but "drew him two proposals" according to one U.S. newspaper. Judy Jolley Mohraz (born 1943) is an American women's studies historian. She is a former president of Goucher College and the inaugural chief executive officer and president of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. Mohraz is the second woman to serve as Goucher's president and the college's ninth president. Mohraz was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the United States Naval Academy Board of Visitors in 1996.

The Calpeans then appointed Brazilian/Portuguese coach William Amaral de Andrade as first team head coach and former Gibraltar U19 Manager Terrence Jolley as his assistant manager for the 2016–17 season. After a bad run of form in winter saw them slip from 3rd to 5th, William was sacked on 16 January and replaced by Jolley on an interim basis.

Tiny Giants are an Australian Garage Rock band from Ocean Grove Victoria, formed late 2010 under the pseudonym "The Flaming Jets". They became "The Tiny Giants" in early 2011 and released two EP's under this name before changing to "Tiny Giants" for the release of their debut album. The band consists of Jasper Jolley (Guitar, Vocals), Etienne Mantelli (Bass, Drums, Guitar, Vocals) and George Wilson (Drums, Bass, Vocals).

The Eliza R. Snow Performing Arts Center is a performing arts center located at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho, United States. Arthur Connaught Jolley (November 29, 1911 - April 24, 1993) was a Canadian politician, who represented the electoral district of Niagara Falls in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1953 to 1959. He was a member of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party. He was first elected in a by-election on October 26, 1953, following the resignation of William Houck. He was then re-elected in the 1955 election.
How to Read Donald Duck () is a 1971 book-length essay by Ariel Dorfman and Armand Mattelart that critiques Disney comics from a Marxist point of view as capitalist propaganda for American corporate and cultural imperialism. It was first published in Chile in 1971, became a bestseller throughout Latin AmericaJason Jolley. Ariel Dorfman (1942–). The Literary Encyclopedia (2009) and is still considered a seminal work in cultural studies.

In 1999, he was named as one of the outstanding five speakers in the World by Toastmasters International and was also inducted into the 2012 Speaker Hall of Fame by the National Speakers Association.
Ex-director Stephen Plant also sued the Bell and the club in November, and made a £100,000 settlement in May. Another director, shopkeeper Neil Hughes, resigned in February; he returned to the club the next month, only to resign for a second time in six weeks. Edward Jolley Crooke (7 January 1861 - 23 October 1940) was an Australian politician. He was born in Rosedale to Edward Crooke and Maria Matilda Jamison. He attended Toorak Grammar School and Toorak College, and inherited his father's Rosedale property. He married Ada Menzies, with whom he had four children. He served on Rosedale Shire Council from 1889 to 1901 and from 1908 to 1940, and was thrice president (1892-93, 1895-96, 1923-24).

McVeigh was renowned for her etchings, and particularly for her mastery of the challenging medium of aquatint. Her genre images of African Americans and so-called "Negro Angels," inspired by her love of gospel music and spirituals, were especially popular with collectors. Originally released as a stand-alone single in 1985, the track was later added to Bananarama's third album True Confessions which was issued by London Records a year later. "Do Not Disturb" was released in the UK, Australia, Germany and Japan but only charted in the UK. Bananarama did not like the song.

Upper Wellington Street is an Upper City (mountain) arterial road in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It starts at the Jolley Cut, a mountain-access road to the north, beside Sam Lawrence Park and extends southward past Rymal Road where it ends at the Mount Hamilton Cemetery. It is a two-way street throughout. Jason was a seventeen-year-old living in Detroit, who wanted nothing more than to escape his home city. He lived with his father who had turned abusive after he lost his hand in an industrial accident. His mother left the family sometime after the accident.
The church dates from the 12th century, and was restored between 1877 and 1878 by Evans and Jolley. An arson attack in 1996 caused considerable damage but the church was restored. During an outbreak of the plague in 1637 the church was used as a food store for the village during the outbreak. Critics received the song very warmly; Popmatters' reviewer Spencer Tricker called "Jungle Drum" the "catchiest tune" on the album (alongside "Big Jumps"), "every bit as good as the singles from Fisherman's Woman". He also praised the song for boasting "an irresistible chorus that features some totally unexpected scatting". Matthew Allard from ARTISTdirect stated the song "should be an iPhone ad". Clickmusic reviewer Francis Jolley called the song "a sprightly, fun little gem, reminiscent of Nancy Sinatra in her heyday" and "infectious Scandinavian pop".

Following the discovery of disjunct specimens of western maidenhair fern, then classified as A. pedatum var. aleuticum, on the serpentine tableland of Mount Albert by Merritt Lyndon Fernald in 1905, botanists began to search for western maidenhair on ultramafic outcrops elsewhere in Quebec and Vermont. It was first identified in Vermont by L. Frances Jolley in 1922 at Belvidere Mountain in Eden.

Situated just east of John Street South on Charlton Avenue East in the Corktown neighbourhood, 2 blocks east of the St. Joseph's hospital and nearby is the mountain access known as Arkledun Avenue/Jolley Cut. Going into the first test Dally Messenger, Duncan McGregor and Conrad Byrne were all unavailable due to influenza. The official name of the tournament (Foxtel Cup), finalised fixture and participating teams were formalised on 9 February 2011 by the AFL. Williamstown became the inaugural Foxtel Cup champions when they defeated Claremont by 21 points in the Grand Final at Patersons Stadium on 6 August 2011. Department of Highways constructed the Stoney Creek Cut, providing a low-grade ascent of the Niagara Escarpment. Highway 20 was first designated on March 12, 1930, with its western terminus at the intersection of Highway 8 (Main Street) and Highway 6 (John Street) in downtown Hamilton. It proceeded south along John Street, concurrently with Highway 6, to the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, where the two routes split. Highway 20 climbed the escarpment through the Jolley Cut, while Highway 6 used the Claremont Access.

During the Vietnam War, Utah Air Guard crews flew 6,600 hours of support missions for US forces. "Rough Justice" is a song by English girl group Bananarama. It was co-written by group members Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward and the writing-production duo Jolley & Swain who also produced the song. The song was released in May 1984 as the third single from their self-titled second album. The song is one of several composed by Bananarama at the time which lyrically addressed "serious" topics, in this case societal injustices towards children, poverty, starvation and innocent bystanders who are given "no time to smile before they die".
"More Than Physical" is a song written and performed by English girl group Bananarama. It was one of two tracks on the group's True Confessions album produced by the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) trio instead of Jolley & Swain. The album version of the song is different from the single version. In order to capitalize on the number-one success of previous single "Venus" (the other True Confessions track produced by SAW), "More Than Physical" was given a Hi- NRG-influenced make-over to sound similar to the dance-oriented chart-topper.

The Secretary is appointed by the governor, with the consent of the Oklahoma Senate, to serve at the pleasure of the governor. The secretary serves as the chief adviser to the governor on fiscal policy, taxation, and the operations and personnel needs of the state government. State Road 951 (SR 951), locally known as Collier Boulevard, is a north-south divided highway that extends from the south end of the Judge S.S. Border Roundup is a 1942 American Western film directed by Sam Newfield and written by Joseph O'Donnell. The film stars George F. Houston as the Lone Rider, Al St. John as his sidekick "Fuzzy" Jones, and Dennis Moore as Sheriff Smoky Moore, with Patricia Knox, Charles King and I. Stanford Jolley. The film was released on September 18, 1942, by Producers Releasing Corporation. Dunne was quoted as saying that Dennis Hopper wished he "had a picture of myself with Allen Ginsberg and Norman Mailer." In 2008, at age 82, Dunne traveled from New York to Las Vegas to cover O.J. Simpson's trial on charges of kidnapping and armed robbery for Vanity Fair magazine; he said this would be his last such event. In 1970 Ernest Jolley died which resulted in a sequence of events that led to the sale of the stadium to property developers for £110,000. It ceased trading on 12 September 1970 but the well-known veterinary surgeon Paddy Sweeney made an attempt to take the stadium out of the hands of the developers for £125,000. Sweeney was acting for the newly formed Greyhound Council of Great Britain but the efforts failed. The seven acre site was bought by a Kent company for £110,000 and redeveloped into warehouses.

Small Heath opened their second season in the Football League with a visit to Walsall, who were playing at Wednesbury because their new ground was not yet ready. Former Small Heath full-back Tom Bayley was one of several newcomers for the hosts, but their visitors had few changes in personnel. Teddy Jolley came in at full-back, and replacing Billy Walton was Jack Lee, who "dribbles cleverly, and is a very dangerous forward round goal". In the presence of 4,000 spectators, Lee scored twice as Small Heath won 3–1.

He turned professional in 1953 but left two years later without making a league appearance. Hackett was one of several forwards to sign for Chester in the summer of 1955, as manager Louis Page also purchased Charlie Jolley, George Allman, Jack Haines, Jim Collins and Frank Wayman.
In 1983 the rest of the site not already destroyed was purchased for the purposes of building a new residential neighborhood. Over the next several years a series of salvage archaeology operations were undertaken by Robert Jolley and later the Division of Archaeology. Throughout the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s periodic excavations took place as the site was further developed, especially after changes in state law afforded Native American graves protections equal to Euro-American graves and forced the construction companies to do archaeological surveys to find possible grave sites.

He was working as a backing singer when he met Ashley Ingram (born 27 November 1960, Northampton, England) a guitarist/bassist. They formed a songwriting partnership, working in a short-lived band called Fizzz. Together with Ingram and Errol Kennedy (born 9 June 1953, Montego Bay, Jamaica) they formed Imagination, a three-piece soul music band, in the early 1980s. Produced by Jolley & Swain, their hit "Body Talk" reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1981. Their biggest hit, "Just an Illusion", peaked at number 2 in March 1982.
In 2011 the Town of Dedham celebrated its 375 anniversary. A steering committee was appointed by the Selectmen to coordinate a year's worth of activities marking the occasion. Jolley appeared as the shrewd businessman Phineas Colby in the 1955 episode, "California's First Ice Man" of the western television anthology series, Death Valley Days, hosted by Stanley Andrews. In the story line, Peter Jeffries (Rhodes Reason) turns to the importation of ice from his native Boston, Massachusetts, rather than exploration of gold, to revive his lost family fortune. Meanwhile, Jeffries is courting Colby's niece, Laura Colby (Donna Drew), who acts as a nurse seeking ice to relieve suffering of her patients in the heat of summer.

Kennedy learned to play drums at a young age. Before co-founding the British three piece soul, pop and funk band Imagination with Ashley Ingram and Leee John in London, in early 1981, he was a member in two other soul-funk bands, Midnight Express and TFB (Typical Funk Band). Imagination's first UK hit single, "Body Talk", produced by Jolley & Swain, spent 18 weeks in the UK Singles Chart and reached number 4 in May 1981. This was quickly followed by two other chart topping singles, "In and Out of Love" and "Flashback", both co-written by Kennedy.
King of the Rocket Men is a 1949 12-chapter black-and-white Republic movie serial,Weiss and Goodgold 1973, p. 291. produced by Franklin Adreon, directed Fred C. Brannon, that stars Tristram Coffin, Mae Clarke, Don Haggerty, House Peters, Jr., James Craven, and I. Stanford Jolley. This serial is notable for featuring the only character actually called "Rocket Man", a misnomer applied by fans to the other rocket-powered-suited heroes that followed in Republic's later serials: Radar Men from the Moon (1952), Zombies of the Stratosphere (1952), and Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe (1953).

"Changes" is the eighth single by the British soul and post-disco band Imagination, released by R & B Records in 1982 in the United Kingdom and by MCA Records in 1983 in the United States. The song was produced and arranged by Tony Swain and Steve Jolley. "Changes" appears on the band's 1982 album In the Heat of the Night (which also features the tracks "Music and Lights" and "Just an Illusion", which were successful hits for the band earlier in 1982). "Changes" peaked at #31 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the band's seventh Top 40 hit.

To implement that, Techland had to abandon most of the story elements and build them again from scratch. To create a story that would suit the taste of the American audience, the writing team collaborated with Dan Jolley. The story was inspired by both Heart of Darkness and The Plague. "A Trick of the Night" is a mid-tempo ballad recorded by English girl group Bananarama. It was written and produced by Steve Jolley and Tony Swain and released as the final single from Bananarama's album True Confessions. The song was re-recorded for UK single release, with new synthesizer tracks and vocal arrangement by the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) production trio, at the request of London Records for the UK release. The cautionary message in the lyrics are directed towards a friend who has gone to seek his fortune in the big city and ended up a rentboy.
The band was formed in early 2002, by Kirk Katlan, Steve Helferich (ex-Welcome To Your Life), Marc Jackson (ex- Throwdown), Geoff Harman (ex-Scars Of Tomorrow) and Jeff "Tyrone" Trion (ex- Show Of Hands). Justin Jolley replaced Kirk Katlan soon after and between May and July 2004, the band entered the studio to record their debut record on Indecision Records, From Russia With Love. The Crimson Ghost is a 1946 American film serial directed by Fred C. Brannon and William Witney. Produced by Republic Pictures and written by Albert DeMond, Basil Dickey, Jesse Duffy, and Sol Shor, it was the last serial that Witney directed in his career. The serial is divided into twelve chapters, and stars Charles Quigley as Professor Duncan Richards, a criminologist who attempts to thwart the efforts of the eponymous villain, the Crimson Ghost, to steal an invention that can render electrical devices powerless. The serial also stars Linda Stirling, Clayton Moore, and I. Stanford Jolley.

Quince has since performed extensively throughout the United States, performing primarily new music works by 20th and 21st century composers including: David Lang, Morton Feldman, and Steve Reich and most recently, Jennifer Jolley and Kate Soper (composer). Quince is signed to New Focus Recordings, and has released two albums with them. In July 2017, Quince's Hushers was judged "Critic's Choice" by Opera News and they were named "the Anonymous 4 of new music." Manila (born 1983 in Kentucky, died 2009, 28 February, in İzmit, Turkey) was an American Thoroughbred Hall of Fame Champion racehorse. He was sired by Northern Dancer's son Lyphard, out of the mare Dona Ysidra. He was bred by Filipino food and beverage magnate Eduardo Cojuangco, Jr. who owned Dona Ysidra and who named her for his grandfather's sister, Dona Ysidra Cojuangco (1867-1960) of Tarlac, reportedly the foundress of the Cojuangco family fortune. Manila was raced by Lexington, Kentucky thoroughbred agent Bradley M. Shannon and trained by future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee LeRoy Jolley.

The Loggan Rock log cabin, tower, their immediate surroundings, and the wider landscape context display significance at a State level for their high degree of creative accomplishment. The buildings in their garden setting are considered to be of State significance as rare and outstanding examples of "organic" architecture in harmony with nature. The Loggan Rock complex in conjunction with the other two remaining Jolley houses, Careel House and Hy Brasil demonstrates a distinctive set of aesthetic values, lifestyle values and design styles. Built in the late 1920s and early 1930s these houses are a distinctive expression of the concerns and formative architectiural influences evolving through Jolley's career.
He appealed again to the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which in April 1971 also ruled against him. The court struck down his argument that his renunciation was involuntary because he was being forced into military service, instead ruling that it indeed constituted voluntary relinquishment within the meaning of Afroyim v. Rusk. However, Richard Rives wrote a dissenting opinion arguing that the U.S. government should allow Jolley's appeal and prosecute him for draft evasion instead. Jolley attempted to appeal the Fifth Circuit's ruling to the Supreme Court, but not a single justice recommended granting certiorari, meaning the Court would not hear his case.
Doubledogdare (1953–1974) was an American Thoroughbred Champion racehorse. Bred and raced by the renowned Claiborne Farm of Bull Hancock, she was sired by Double Jay, the American Champion Two-Year-Old Colt of 1946 and a four-time Leading broodmare sire in North America. Her dam was Flaming Top, a daughter of 1935 U.S. Triple Crown champion Omaha. Conditioned for racing by Moody Jolley, at age two Doubledogdare earned important wins including the 1955 Matron Stakes under future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Eric Guerin and the 1955 National Stallion Stakes, Fillies Division when ridden by another future Hall of Fame jockey, Jack Westrope.

Bananarama experienced their greatest success during the period 1982 to 1989, with their first three albums primarily produced and co-written with Jolley & Swain. Their debut album, Deep Sea Skiving (UK #7, US #63) (1983) contained several hit singles — "Really Saying Something" (UK #5) and "Shy Boy" (UK #4) — and included a cover version of "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" (UK #5). "Cheers Then" (#45) was released as the third single, with little chart success, but very positive reviews from critics. The band recorded a version of the Sex Pistols' song "No Feelings" in late 1982 for the soundtrack of the British teen-comedy film, Party Party.
True Confessions is the third studio album by English girl group Bananarama. It was released on 12 July 1986 by London Records. The majority of the album was produced by Tony Swain and Steve Jolley (who produced Bananarama's eponymous second album), with the exception of "Venus" and "More Than Physical" (later given a garage remix for its single version), which began Bananarama's association with the Stock Aitken Waterman songwriting and production team. The album contains the group's most commercially successful single to date, a cover version of Shocking Blue's 1969 song "Venus", which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
Soon after his arrival in Sydney, Mordecai takes a metalworking job at Brighta Bicycle Lamps in Barranugli. He recognises that his employer Harry Rosetree is also a German Jew, but his overtures are sternly rebuffed by the factory owner, whose family are shown to be doing their best to assimilate to middle-class Australian society. Mrs Flack begins to spread malicious and unfounded gossip about Mordecai which she relays to Blue, another worker at the factory who she introduces to Mrs Jolley as her nephew. Mordecai accidentally injures his hand with a drill while at work one day and is tended to by his next-door neighbour, Ruth Godbold.
Formed in early 1981, the trio took a demo tape of a track called "Body Talk" to producers Jolley & Swain. It was released as a single in April 1981 under the group name Imagination, a name that the group chose as a tribute to John Lennon. The track reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart in July 1981, selling 250,000 copies in the UK and spending eighteen weeks in the Top 50. They had two more hit singles that year, "In and Out of Love" (September) and "Flashback" (November), both of which peaked at number 16, all from their debut album, also called Body Talk.

Born in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, Buckley came through the youth ranks at Grimsby Town as an under-nine, he signed a contract in 2016 for the U18's academy aged 15 years old. He then signed a new contract in May 2017. Buckley was made academy captain in the 2018/19 season and represented the reserve team on a regular basis. Buckley was promoted to the club's first team in the summer of 2018 under the management of Michael Jolley, making his professional debut on 9 October 2018, coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute against Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Trophy.
Bold Forbes had raced mostly in Puerto Rico as a two-year-old but challenged Honest Pleasure at three. Honest Pleasure won the Flamingo Stakes by 11 lengths in February, and went on to win the Florida Derby and the Blue Grass Stakes as the favorite. In the Kentucky Derby Jolley had Honest Pleasure sit off the pace and but he made his move too late and was beaten to the wire by Bold Forbes. In the Preakness, Honest Pleasure and Bold Forbes went to the lead and dueled through 6 furlongs in 1:09, only to lose to Elocutionist, with Honest Pleasure placing a poor fifth.
Due to postponements his final EFL league match was a goalless draw away to Cambridge United 3 weeks earlier on 22nd October 2019, which saw him leave Grimsby still well in touch with the promotion contenders only 1 point and 2 points respectively behind eventual play-off teams Colchester United & Northampton Town and only 5 points worse off than eventual Champions Swindon Town. Later it emerged that Jolley's "expletive-laden rant" to a BBC journalist had contributed to his departure after an off-record conversation had been captured on tape in which Jolley complained about excessively negative coverage of the team and swore multiple times.

His dissertation was entitled The Transition from "Consciousness" to "Self-Consciousness" in Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. Stewart did research for his dissertation at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in 1989-90, where he worked together with Ludwig Siep. From 1990-91 Stewart had a research assistantship at the same university, where he was an assistant for Jürgen-Gerhard Blühdorn.

In 1951, he was cast as Sam Fleming in Oklahoma Justice, with Johnny Mack Brown, with whom he had also appeared in Silver Range, and as Zorol in the Columbia Pictures serial, Captain Video: Master of the Stratosphere, starring Judd Holdren as Captain Video. In 1953, he appeared as Ted in the Audie Murphy and Lee Van Cleef film Tumbleweed. That same year, Jolley appeared as Rocky in the western film, Son of Belle Starr, a drama about Starr's son, "The Kid" or Ed Reed, played by Keith Larsen, who attempts to lead an upright life despite his family background.
In the Heat of the Night is the second album by British soul/dance group Imagination, produced by Steve Jolley and Tony Swain and released in 1982. In the Heat of the Night was Imagination's most successful album, reaching No. 7 in the United Kingdom. "Just an Illusion" was the group's highest charting single, peaking at No. 2 (kept off the top spot by the Goombay Dance Band's "Seven Tears"), and also making the top 10 in several other countries in Western Europe and Scandinavia. It was covered by Destiny's Child on their self-titled album and Mariah Carey sampled this song for her hit "Get Your Number" in her 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi.

The foundation stone was laid on 10 April 1877 by William Windley and it was built to a design by Evans and Jolley. The church consisting only of a nave was opened for worship on 29 November 1877 as a daughter church to St. Ann's Church, Nottingham. It was consecrated two years later on 13 November 1879 by Dr. Trollope, Suffragan Bishop of Nottingham. The chancel was added in 1893 to the designs of William Arthur Heazell and the east window of stained glass with images of the Ascension by Samuel Evans was gifted by R. Halford. The flooring was laid with Maw and Co’s tiles by A.G. Foss of Mansfield Road, Nottingham.
"Get Your Number" is a mid-tempo song lasting three minutes and fifteen seconds, while drawing influence from pop and R&B; music genres. Written by Carey, Jermaine Dupri and Johntá Austin, and produced by the former two and LRoc, the song samples the hook from British band Imagination's "Just an Illusion" (1982), and derives its production from "‘80s-esque synthesizers" and several computerized musical instruments. Due to its sampling, additional writers such as John Phillips, Steve Jolley, Tony Swain, Ashley Ingram and Leee John are credited as songwriters. On "Get Your Number", Dupri performs several ad-libs and sings part of the chorus, earning him a place as a featured artist on the track.
Brian George Cadd AM (born 29 November 1946) is an Australian singer- songwriter, keyboardist, producer and record label founder, a staple of Australian entertainment for over 50 years. As well as working internationally throughout Europe and the United States, he has performed as a member of numerous bands including The Groop, Axiom, The Bootleg Family Band and in America with Flying Burrito Brothers before carving out a solo career in 1972. He briefly went under the pseudonym of Brian Caine in late 1966, when first joining The Groop. Cadd produced fellow Australian acts Robin Jolley, Ronnie Burns, Broderick Smith, Tina Arena and Glenn Shorrock; and established his own record label called Bootleg Records.
Bonseu joined the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the A-League in 1999 and played there for two seasons, before signing with the Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire. Bonseu went on to spend several seasons in MLS, playing with the Columbus Crew in 2001, Dallas Burn in 2002 and 2003, and the MetroStars, who acquired Tenywa from Dallas for Steve Jolley before the 2004 season. In five seasons in MLS, Bonseu played in 87 regular season and 11 playoff games (starting all but three). After being released by the MetroStars, Bonseu played four seasons with the Rochester Rhinos in the USL First Division from 2005 through 2008, before signing for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2009.

Byrd played the tape for Gillespie; Gillespie liked what he heard. Unfortunately for Fischer, especially in light of the critical accolades given the eventual fruit of his, and Gillespie's, labor, Fischer's name was nowhere to be found on the finished LP;Jolley, Craig.
Frederick Jolley Sheffield (November 5, 1923 – December 8, 2009) was an American basketball player. He won an NCAA championship with the University of Utah in 1944 and played one season for the Philadelphia Warriors in the Basketball Association of America (BAA). Sheffield, a 6'2 forward and center, played for Utah and, as a sophomore, was a member of the Utes' 1944 national championship team. While many college athletes were called to serve for the military during World War II, Sheffield had a deferment as a pre-medicine major. Also an accomplished track athlete, Sheffield was also the men's collegiate champion in the high jump in 1943 and 1945 and the national champion in 1943.

The heavy favorite going into the Kentucky Derby, Ridan ran wide throughout the race and wound up third in a hard fought race where he and Roman Line finished a neck behind upset winner Decidedly whom Ridan had easily beaten in the Blue Grass Stakes. In that year's Travers Stakes at the Saratoga Race Course, Ridan lost by a fraction of a nose to Jaipur in one of the most dramatic races in American Thoroughbred racing history and one that is still written and talked about today. Jolley went on to train two Kentucky Derby winners, first with Foolish Pleasure in 1975 then with Genuine Risk in 1980.

In an investigative news report 101 East by Al Jazeera, an interview of a purported relative of Sirul called 'Frank' claimed that Sirul mentioned to him that Razak Baginda was the person who shot and killed Altantuyaa. The documentary also alleged that the-then Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak had an extramarital affair with the victim prior to her death. The Australian journalist Mary Ann Jolley, who did the report, was deported from Malaysia on June 14, 2015 by the Malaysian authorities, alleging she had tarnished Malaysia's image. Following the airing of the documentary on 10 September 2015, the Malaysian Prime Minister's Department and the former Inspector-General of Police, Musa Hassan, both issued statements contesting the report's assertions.
Lorna Kesterson collapsed and died unexpectedly during a routine visit to her doctor's office on January 16, 2012, at the age of 86. She was survived by her two sons, Don Kesterson of Henderson and Roger Kesterson; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Venus Marriages and Donal Jolley. She was predeceased by two sons, Ross Kesterson and Jim Kesterson, and her husband of nearly 40 years, Robert Kesterson. Andy Hafen, Mayor of Henderson from 2009 to 2017, also served in the city council during Kesterson's eight-year tenure as mayor and paid tribute to his predecessor saying, "Lorna Kesterson was one of the finest ladies I've had the privilege of working with during my career in public service," said Hafen in a statement.
Henry Martyn Noel moved to Allied-occupied Germany in the aftermath of World War II and voluntarily made himself stateless to protest "a climax of nationalism" he saw rising around him in the United States. Thomas Jolley renounced U.S. citizenship in 1967 after acquiring landed immigrant status in Canada (but not citizenship there) in order to avoid being drafted to serve in the Vietnam War. Raffi Hovannisian renounced U.S. citizenship in April 2001 and made himself stateless to protest a decade-long delay in the processing of his application for Armenian citizenship; he was subsequently granted Armenian citizenship by presidential decree about four months later. Garry Davis and Mike Gogulski made themselves stateless because they felt that their respective political philosophies precluded allegiance to any one country.

Thomas Evans was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame and a member of The Jockey Club, the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, and the Virginia Thoroughbred Association. The figures sit in a cross-legged fashion, with their hands on their knees, similar to Mississippian stone statuary found throughout the Tennessee- Cumberland region. Dowd was eventually able to acquire the figurines from the young man who had discovered them and has loaned them to the Frank H. McClung Museum of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where they are on display. Excavations throughout the 1970s by Jolley turned up many examples of Mississippian culture pottery, including two common varieties Mississippi Plain or Neelys Ferry Plain. Other finer wares were also found including examples Bell Plain, Kimmswick Fabric Impressed, Manly Punctate, Matthews Incised, a hooded water bottle fragment, one plate fragment with a grooved rim, several ceramic disks and a ceramic cylinder.

In 1981, further washouts brought closure of the line from Eblis to Olympia, until the line was purchased by Norman Clark, operator of the narrow gauge Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad and adjacent 1880s-themed park in Felton. Local legend has it that the name "Roaring Camp" is historical too, coming from the moniker that Mexican authorities gave to what was then, in the 1840s, the wild settlement of Zayante, founded by mountain man Isaac Graham. The first train from Felton to Rincon ran in 1985 (the year after Clark's death from pneumonia that he acquired in his work to reopen this line) and the entire line to Santa Cruz was once again reopened to traffic some time later. Clark’s daughter Melani Jolley-Clark manages the company now.

Merrifield signed his first professional contract with AFC Wimbledon in December 2011, having joined the club's youth system at the age of 16 two years previously. On 8 August 2017, Hooper signed a two-year contract with League Two side Grimsby Town on a free transfer, having spent the last few weeks on trial at the club. He scored seven goals in 35 appearances for the "Marinewrs" over the course of the 2017–18 season, including a hat-trick on the final day at Forest Green Rovers on 5 May that earned him a place on the EFL team of the week. He was switched to the left-wing by new manager Michael Jolley, who replaced Russell Slade in March, and Hooper credited this change to his run of form at the end of the campaign. He also wrote for The Bulletin, was president of the Maryborough Technical School Council, the Advisory Council of the Maryborough District High School and the Maryborough branch of the Australian Natives' Association and was involved in the Maryborough Dramatic Society. In 1914, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Grampians, narrowly defeating sitting Liberal Hans Irvine after an intense campaign. His victory in the conservative rural seat was celebrated by Labor supporters; it was the only time in the seat's 22-year history that it would ever be won by Labor. However, Jolley became almost immediately unwell following the first sitting of parliament with what was variously described as "prostration" or a nervous breakdown, and remained ill until he died of a brain haemorrhage at Maryborough a few months later, on New Year's Day 1915.

Longley, Jack Elam portrayed Black Jack Ketchum, and I. Stanford Jolley played Sheriff Bascome in the episode "Black Bart", with Arthur Space in the title role.
Most of the current portion of State Road 951 south of U.S. Route 41 came into existence around 1955 during development of the Isles of Capri. It was built upon the abandoned rail bed of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad's Marco Island route, which existed from 1927 to 1944. Prior to 1976, State Road 951 extended along a much longer route than it does today. It began at the Isles of Capri (along the current CR 952). When the Jolley Bridge was built to Marco Island in 1969, the route across it was designated SR 951B. At State Road 84 (the original Alligator Alley and current Davis Boulevard), SR 951's designation then zig-zagged into North Naples along what is today Radio Road, Airport-Pulling Road, Golden Gate Parkway and Goodlette-Frank Road, ultimately terminating at the intersection of Goodlette- Frank Road and then-SR 896 (Pine Ridge Road).
During the early days of KNAC some of L.A.'s diamonds in the rough were found. Most notably, Ron McCoy (6 A.M. to Noon) was not only the Program Director but also a seasoned musician with the hard rock recording group MSG (not to be confused with the hard rock band led by guitarist Michael Schenker) who released Little Suzie Looker (Hooker) and other regional hits. Jim Ladd (12 noon to 6 P.M.), who later moved to KLOS, would become one of the first nationally syndicated jocks with The Inner View along with his partner Jerry Longdon (12 A.M. to 6 A.M.), who went on to become the announcer on Don Kirshner's ABC TV show In Concert (Ladd has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame). Frank Jolley (7 P.M to Midnight) was the first at KNAC to appear in the L.A. Arbitron with a very respectable showing.
He then won a scholarship to Ormond College at the University of Melbourne, where he won a succession of awards: honours in English Part 1 and Latin Part 1 in 1891, first in the first class with an exhibition in history and jurisprudence and the prize for British Empire history in 1892, and in 1893-94 passed his final honours examination with the only first class for history, political economy and jurisprudence and won the school scholarship, the Wyselaskie prize for English constitutional law and the Cobden Club Medal for political economy. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1894, his Bachelor of Laws and Master of Arts in 1896 and his Master of Laws in 1899. Following the completion of his studies, Jolley became a barrister and solicitor, practising first at Avoca and then for many years at Maryborough, largely in criminal law.
Rees is the co-author (with Kenny Kemp) of a script entitled "Crucifixion of Innocents: The Life and Death of Dietrich Bonhoeffer," which was optioned by Artemis Films; co-author (with Kenny Kemp) of an original screenplay entitled "A Perfect World"; co-author (with Raphael La Rosa) of a script, "Sabatino Rodia: the Artist Nobody Knows," for KCET Public Television in Los Angeles; executive producer of "I Hear Tell: Storytelling in American Cultures," a projected documentary film on storytelling funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities; designer, writer, and editor of a tele-course on the American Short Story, produced by Coastline Community College; and advisor on the award-winning film, "Families Are Forever," produced by the Family Acceptance Project, San Francisco State University. Currently he is co-writing (with Bob Devan Jones) a musical, "Clarissa and the American Dream" and a play on Ezra Pound (with Clifton Jolley).
Over 2,000 pieces from the pottery's beginnings in 1949 to 2000 are on display in two converted 18th century cottages in Hornsea Museum in Newbegin, the main street of Hornsea. The Loggan Rock complex in conjunction with the other two remaining Jolley houses, Careel House and Hy Brasil demonstrates a distinctive set of aesthetic values, lifestyle values and design styles. Built in the late 1920s and early 1930s these houses are a distinctive expression of the concerns and formative architectural influences evolving through Jolley's career. Loggan Rock along with the other two Jolly residences were also the gathering places of many others associated with the vibrant arts community of Avalon that emerged after World War I and flourished for the next four decades. The building complex and its garden has been designated as having high historic significance at State Level as the former home of Lionel Hurley, of the Commonwealth film censor's office, and Bonar & Hillary Dunlop important artists of the mid 20th century in Australia who achieved substantial public recognition in the fields of photography and film sculpture and abstract art.

The next thirty years saw steady but modest growth in the collections. Ugly Is Beautiful received mixed reviews from music critics. Ben Jolley of NME said that "beyond the fuzzy guitars and old-school hip-hop beats, Tree's thought-provoking narrative – which tackles depression, loneliness, commercialism, bullying and ignoring haters – proves he's more than a piss-taking internet troll" and that the album "just about silences his credibility critics by delivering wall-to-wall pop-rock ragers while encouraging fans to be unashamedly themselves". However, Cat Zhang of Pitchfork wrote that "for an artist chasing shock and bombast, Oliver Tree's music is surprisingly tame" and criticized the album's length and Tree's voice which "is riddled with distortion, casting a fuzzed-out sameness over even the more left-field selections". WLNO traces its roots back to January 6, 1924, when WABZ, a 50 W AM station licensed to Coliseum Place Baptist Church in New Orleans first went on air. The station changed its frequency, and call letters several times, becoming WBBX in 1933 and WBNO in 1934, before the license was acquired by former Louisiana Governor James A. Noe, who renamed the station WNOE in 1941. WNOE was the market's first Top 40 outlet during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. When it launched its Top 40 format in early 1955, it stunted by playing the record "Shtiggy Boom" by The Nuggets nonstop for 58 hours and 45 minutes. Some of the most famous disc jockeys on the 1960s WNOE included Gary Owens, Greg Mason, C. C. Courtney and Frank Jolley (with his alter-ego - Count Down).
