It is said that training eSport skills is as patriotic as training the body for China, for sports like basketball, soccer, and many others and, just like all the other sporting events, eSport competitions get presented as media spectacles that "nurture the ideal patriotic citizen"[1] eSports were included in the 2018 Eastern European games as a demonstration sport (see - Esports at the 2018 Asian Games – Pro Evolution Soccer tournament) and will be implemented into the 2022 Hangzhou games as an official sport. Arenas are filled with crowds to spectate eSporting events, much like an arena would be filled for a basketball or football game. Fans of the sport go for interest and can also have a favorite athlete they want to see perform. eSports have also become a college major, where young adults are encouraged to dedicate their lives to online gaming.

Harvey and Phil Brock qualified the car but after the #05 car blew its engine on lap 8, Peter Brock and Perkins transferred themselves into Harvey's car. Phil Brock never drove the car on race day and was forced to spectate as his three teammates won the race in the car he qualified in, a decision he claimed was made by Perkins as team manager despite Perkins being the slowest qualifier of the quartet and despite it also being legal for four drivers to drive one car (something Perkins refutes claiming the rules only allowed a maximum of three drivers per car). The car was also the car which Peter Brock and Larry Perkins had won the race in 1982 and updated to 1983 specs, meaning this Holden Commodore became the first race car to win the Bathurst 1000 twice. The Holder Dealer Team Commodore finished a lap ahead of Allan Moffat and Japanese driver Yoshimi Katayama in their Peter Stuyvesant sponsored Mazda RX-7.

Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets. A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle. On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps.
