A popular smartwatch customization platform for Android, Facer, has today made its way to iOS and Apple Watch.

In addition to Facer, its lineup of apps includes a bite-sized slots game for Apple Watch as well as The Martian Game, built for the Oscar-nominated movie.

It's called Facer, and it does one thing: It puts a different background image on the screen of your watch every time you raise it to see the time.

You may already be familiar with Facer, thanks to its earlier support for Android smartwatches where it has been regularly listed as one of the top applications for watchface creation.

What's also interesting about the Facer platform versus a number of the watchface creation utilities available currently is that it offers a way to create and share your personalized watchfaces from the web.

While there are already dozens of utilities on the App Store that allow users to better personalize their Apple Watch's home screen, Facer stands out because of its sizable collection of free watchfaces, range of exclusive content, which also includes premium brands and its web-based watchface design tool.

"Our research findings highlight the ability of a simple non-pharmacological intervention to phase advance 'night owls', reduce negative elements of mental health and sleepiness, as well as manipulate peak performance times in the real world," lead author Elise Facer-Childs, a sleep researcher at Monash University's Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health in Australia, said in a release from the University of Birmingham in the UK. (Facer-Childs conducted the study during her time at Birmingham as a PhD student and later research fellow.)While these sorts of experimental trials are considered the most direct kind of evidence for proving something, the small sample size does mean we should take the findings with a grain of salt.

North Sydney Born and bred in Naremburn, New South Wales to parents Albert and Violet Facer, Frank Facer became a first grade rugby league player in Sydney. Facer was graded at Norths in 1938, and went on to play over 130 games in all graded for Norths. He was a hooker in the North Sydney 1943 Grand Final loss to Newtown although he had been restricted in the game due to a leg injury. Facer played seven seasons in first grade with North Sydney between 1940 and 1946, the last four of which he played at hooker.

Francis Henry 'Frank' Facer (8 August 1919 – 16 January 1978) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s at North Sydney and St George. After he retired from playing, he became a noted sports administrator at St George from 1956 until 1978. There he was instrumental in finding and bringing to the club many future stars and played a pivotal role in building a club structure that supported a sustained record of success.

Cross Creek Programs was a reform school facility in La Verkin, Utah, operated by the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS). It sometimes is referred to as two facilities, with the name Cross Creek Manor applied to the girls' program and the name Cross Creek Center used for the boys' program, which were originally in different locations. Cross Creek Academy and Browning Academy have been used as names for the academic program. Cross Creek Programs was founded in 1988 by Robert Lichfield and Brent Facer, originally only for girls.

The North End of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada is not a community per se, but rather describes the large swaths of land annexed by St. Catharines from Grantham Township. It is generally described as any area of the city north of the Queen Elizabeth Way, although areas north of the QEW but south of Welland Avenue were not part of the annex, and therefore not really part of The North End. Facer is also north of the QEW, but a distinct community of its own. The North End is home to the largest proportion of St. Catharines residents.

Drywall is delivered to a building site on a flatbed truck and unloaded with a forked material handler crane. The bulk drywall sheets are unloaded directly to upper floors via a window or exterior doorway. Drywall (also known as plasterboard, wallboard, sheet rock, gypsum board, buster board, custard board, or gypsum panel) is a panel made of calcium sulfate dihydrate (gypsum), with or without additives, typically extruded between thick sheets of facer and backer paper, used in the construction of interior walls and ceilings. The plaster is mixed with fiber (typically paper, fiberglass, or a combination of these materials), plasticizer, foaming agent, and various additives that can reduce mildew, flammability, and water absorption.

Charlie Livermore, "Transorma Sorting Marks""The Facer-Canceller Revolution", Machine Cancel Forum 222, October 2007 Maurice Moise Levy had recently left the Defence Research Board to set up a Canadian subsidiary of ITT Corporation known as FEMCO, short for "Federal Electric Manufacturing Co." Turnbull met with Levy in April 1952 and asked him if a sorting machine was possible, Levy immediately answered "yes." Levy followed this up with a proposal for a $100,000 contract for detailed engineering development. After the NRC examined the proposal and passed judgement that it seemed possible, Turnbull pressed for development of the system. Under further pressure from the opposition and problems staffing the Toronto office, Postmaster General Alcide Côté announced the project in July 1952.

For The Killing Had Begun, Schmechta experimented with vocal treatments on the track "Insight" from his future wife, Estefania (born Stefanie Eckmann, March 21, 1969), who then became a vocalist for X Marks as well as for other of Schmechta's side projects. 1995's single, "Facer", introduced a combination of "techno-dance" and electro-industrial styles. The next two X Marks the Pedwalk albums, Meshwork (1995) and Drawback (1997), built on this new style and received favorable reactions by many fans within Europe, and thanks to the latter's release by Metropolis Records, helped build an extended fanbase in North America. The change in musical direction beginning with Meshwork is seen as having split the band's fanbase with a sound that deviated from strict industrial/EBM and presaged the development of the Futurepop genre.

It also includes phase and contrast detection along with predictive motion tracking, both working together to adjust the right amount of contrast accurately and significantly reduce blur and image shift caused by shaky hands. In contrast to the previous system, which merely canceled and postmarked the upper right corner of the envelope, thereby missing any stamps which were inappropriately placed, the Advanced Facer- Canceler System locates indicia (stamp or metered postage mark), regardless of the orientation of the mail as it enters the machine, and cancels it by applying a postmark. Detection of indicia enables the AFCS to determine the orientation of each mailpiece and sort it accordingly, rotating pieces as necessary so all mail is sorted right-side up and faced in the same direction in each output bin. Mail is output by the machine into three categories: mail already affixed with a bar code and addressed (such as business reply envelopes and cards); mail with machine printed (typed) addresses; and mail with handwritten addresses. Additionally, machines with a recent Optical Character Recognition (OCR) upgrade have the capability to read the address information, including handwritten, and sort the mail based on local or outgoing ZIP codes.
