British Celanese factory, Spondon, Derbyshire During World War I (July 1914 – November 1918) the Cellonite company was the only bidder to respond to a request from the British War Office for manufacture of cellulose acetate dopes in the United Kingdom. Camille and Henri Dreyfus moved to Britain in 1916 to supervise construction of a factory to make the dope, used to coat the fabric skins of airplanes to make them taut, fire-resistant and waterproof. The British Cellulose and Chemical Manufacturing company was established to operate the factory with 160,000 shares, of which the Dreyfus brothers and Alexander Clavel received 79,998, the Prudential Trust of Canada 40,470, Vickers Ltd. 19,800 and the remainder to smaller investors.
In addition to changes in the material that doping techniques are applied to, the methods of application have also been refined to reduce shrinking tendencies, improve adherence, and increase lifespan. Even by the 1910s, it was recognised that, while the practice was highly beneficial, certain varieties of doping agents posed a risk to workers' health. While acetate and nitrate-based dopes were believed to pose little risk by themselves, the use of volatile compounds to dissolve them prior to application were poisonous. The medical profession across several nations became aware of this threat just prior to the First World War, and promoted the need for adequate workplace ventilation in factories where doping was performed as a mitigating measure.
They also discovered that bases smeared with dopes brewed from vegetable and/or animal compounds helped increase skiing speeds. This led to some of the first commercial ski wax (even though they contained no wax at all), such as Black Dope and Sierra Lighting; both were mainly composed of sperm oil, vegetable oil and pine pitch. However, some instead used paraffin candle wax that melted onto ski bases, and these worked better under colder conditions. Pine tar on wooden ski bases proved effective for using skis as transport over the centuries, because it fills the pores of the wood and creates a hydrophobic surface that minimizes suction from water in the snow, yet has sufficient roughness to allow traction for forward motion.
In the United Kingdom specifically, studies were performed into the potential health impacts of various dopes, concluding that those produced to Royal Aircraft Factory specifications rendered them less liable to result in illness than several others. Investigations into health concerns surrounding dope were also conducted during the Second World War. As a result of increasingly powerful engines and advanced aerodynamic techniques being introduced, the use of aluminum (and subsequently composites) supplanted fabric as the primary material used throughout the aviation industry by the latter half of the twentieth century. However, various light aircraft, including gliders, home- built kits, and light sport aircraft, have continued to use fabrics and thus doping techniques continue to be employed, albeit to a lesser degree than at the dawn of aviation.

In 1978 the label released the bizarre "I Bought Three Eggs" single, frequently played by BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel. Although it didn't chart, the track attained cult status being re-released on the "White Dopes on Punk" CD in 2005 and again on vinyl on the German "Still Unbeatable" label in 2009. During the 80s, Mooney was lead vocalist and bassist with Parq Avenue, who toured with chart acts and released their only single "Raffy and Sean / No Control" on the independent "Q Records" label, which reached the lower end of the UK Top 100 in 1983. During this period Mooney recruited drummer Tony Mansfield (brother of singer Elkie Brooks), who was a former original member of 60s hit band The Dakotas, who had also backed singer Billy J. Kramer.
He co-wrote Concierge Confidential: The Gloves Come Off – and the Secrets Come Out! Tales from the Man Who Serves Millionaires, Moguls, and Madmen (2011) with Michael Fazio, one of New York City's most highly sought concierge to the rich and famous, Malice also co- wrote comedian D. L. Hughley's 2012 book I Want You to Shut the F#ck Up: How the Audacity of Dopes Is Ruining America and his 2016 book Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years. In 2014, he published his first solely authored work Dear Reader: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Kim Jong Il. It was crowdfunded through Kickstarter and published through Amazon's CreateSpace program. The book is written from the hypothetical first-person view of Kim himself and is a semi-farcical commentary on how he is portrayed to the North Korean people.
In September 1943, the company, as part of the greater 2nd Division, was transferred to Rabat, in Morocco, where the division received American supplies: 160 M4 Sherman tanks, 280 armored M3 half-tracks and M8 Greyhounds, Dodge, GMC, Brockway, and Diamond trucks and a number of jeeps. The Spanish soldiers gave their vehicles original names, for the most part honoring events from the Spanish Civil War. The command unit's jeep was christened "Mort aux cons" (French for "death to dopes"), and its half-track, "Les Cosaques" (French for "the Cossacks"). On 27 March 1971 the 18th Tactical Fighter Wing at Kadena AB assumed responsibility for the air defense of Okinawa preparatory to the inactivation of the 51st Fighter-Interceptor Wing.. When the 51st was inactivated on 31 May 1971 the 623rd AC&WS; was reassigned to the 18th Wing. The Okinawa Reversion Agreement document was signed simultaneously in Washington D.C. and Tokyo on June 17, 1971. After the announcement of this agreement, the 623rd AC&W; Sq started planning for turning over the entire defensive structure (C2 structure/radar/facilities) of the Ryuku Islands to the JASDF.
The book is organized around specific episodes of conflict within the Trump administration, under chapter titles that include "Unhinged", "Shocking the Conscience", and "Paranoia and Pandemonium". For example, the book highlights a July 2017 meeting at the Pentagon at which Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, among other senior advisors and generals, attempted to brief the president on the current state and projection of military power, with Trump responding negatively to their approach and reportedly calling them "losers", "dopes", and "babies", then abruptly leaving the meeting, prompting Tillerson to reportedly refer to him as a "fucking moron". In another episode, Trump reportedly tried to undo the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, saying it's "just so unfair that American companies aren’t allowed to pay bribes to get business overseas." When Tillerson told him it would need action by Congress, Trump reportedly instructed an aide to draft an executive action to repeal the law.
