Due to the slope in Stokes Street the northern end of the ground floor has been built at a higher level. An additional ground floor entrance on Stokes Street opens directly into the higher level. Entrances to the upper floors are located on both Flinders and Stokes Streets. Following the release of their last extended play, Remember Alderaan?, Dogleg began extensively touring across their home state of Michigan and across the American Midwest in promotion of their first two EPs. The fourth hole (Caravan) is a short par 5, measuring only 548 yards. Being able to carry your drive over the collection of bunkers to the left of the landing area will give players a legitimate chance at reaching the green in two. However, the smallest green at The Bull is surrounded by bunkers. The fifth hole (Follow On) is one of the best holes in the entire state of Wisconsin. Playing at 432 yards from the back tees, this dogleg left par 4 is protected by a 40 foot deep ravine up the entire left side of the hole.

The two switched the lead several times, while behind them, Pagenaud, Sato, Rahal, and Kanaan pulled up behind the duo and also began challenging for first. With five laps to go, Sato attempted to pass Dixon in the dogleg on the front-stretch, but clipped the grass, sending him into a spin and collecting Dixon and Chilton.

In prehistoric times the Gila flowed west out of the mountains of western New Mexico, made a big dogleg turn at the town of Gila Bend and continued west to empty into the Colorado River. The Hohokam people once lived and farmed here. Ruins of their late Pioneer Period (AD 350 - AD 550) and Early Colonial Period (AD 550 - AD 700) villages are found to the north and west, and ruins of their Sedentary - Classic Period (AD 900 - AD 1400) villages are found to the south and east. Over forty petroglyph sites have been recorded in the area, however; most of these sites are small with only a few dozen petroglyphs.

The 12th hole was converted from a sharp dogleg-right par 5 to a straightaway par 4 that features an elevated tee and a view of the Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz Mountains, changing the par on the back nine from 36 to 35, and the overall par from 72 to 71. The 11th hole is the only brand new hole on the course, as it went from the longest par 3 on the property to the shortest, and plays in the opposite direction. Every hole was changed, but all the others stayed within their same routing. Poppy Hills also completely renovated its practice facility and clubhouse.

This is the site of the launch site itself while the launch control facility is planned two miles west in the Mars Crossing subdivision. Dogleg Park has also continued purchasing land in Boca Chica, and now owns a total of "87 lots equaling more than 100 acres". SpaceX has also bought and is modifying several residential properties in Boca Chica Village, but apparently planning to leave them in residential use, about west of the launch site. In September 2019, SpaceX extended an offer to buy each of the houses in Boca Chica Village for three times the fair market value along with an offer of VIP invitations to future launch events.

Likewise Merle Bettenhausen, Derek Daly, A. J. Foyt, Al Unser Jr., Gordon Johncock, Mario Andretti and Bobby Rahal, among others, all suffered injuries from crashes. After a horrendous crash in 1980 which split his car in two, Tim Richmond soon after quit Indy car racing and switched to the NASCAR circuit. In 1987, a dogleg chicane was hastily built in the middle of the backstretch to slow the cars down, but it was never used in competition. After a couple of practice runs, it was deemed unsuitable, partially due to fear of gearbox failure, being too abrupt, and not necessarily serving its intended purpose.

The house is distinctive in part because of an extremely non-standard floorplan. Instead of a tight winding stair in the front vestibule, the chimney in the house is set further back than normal in houses of the period, and the stair rises via a dogleg and straight run to the chimney's left. Conventional houses of the period of fireplaces on the sides of the chimney in the two front chambers, while in this house, because of the chimney location, they are on the front. and The house's construction date is uncertain: it is usually attributed to William Stevens (1630-1703), placing it in the late 17th or early 18th century.

A reporter with ESPN.com, however, evaluated the course's toughest holes differently: :...[There is] a tee shot that requires a 200-yard carry to clear Kingman Lake on the 538-yard par-5 10th hole. There is a tough, 440-yard slight dogleg par 4 at No. 12, and the No. 1 handicap hole on the course is No. 3, a 520-yard par 5 that requires one shot over a creek and an approach to a small, elevated green. The Washington Post has characterized the first hole as "a treacherous 483-yard par 5 over water..."Nakamura, "Lehnhard's Eagle Leads to Victory," Washington Post, June 22, 1992.

Going into the last round, Lacoste held a 5-stroke lead. It stretched to seven strokes before she bogeyed five straight holes in bad weather on the back nine of the final round, but she secured the victory with a birdie on the par-4 17th hole by hitting a 2-wood over trees to cut the corner of a dogleg, which her competitors were not able to do, to finally win by two strokes. As an amateur, she received no prize money and the first prize of $5,000 was added to the second prize and shared by the tied runners-up Susie Maxwell and Beth Stone. Lacoste's victory came on the same day as her famous fathers birthday.

August Brown for the Los Angeles Times said that "'Cheers (Drink to That)' and 'Raining Men,' as foamy and spunky as they may be, are such a dogleg turn from Rated R that they come off as little more than image recalibration. That's her prerogative as an artist, and it's certainly earned. But it underscores the one thing we've always wondered about Rihanna — what is she really feeling?". Ryan Dombal of Pitchfork Media was more critical of the song, commenting that "Raining Men is a shameless Beyoncé rip-off that would be quickly dismissed if not for the fact that it's a pretty-damn-good Beyoncé rip off with a characteristically scene-stealing guest verse from Nicki Minaj".

Steel Eel is a custom roller coaster built by D. H. Morgan Manufacturing. At a height of 150 feet, Steel Eel is the tallest roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio and was the second coaster built by SeaWorld, following The Great White (1997), after new management felt the park needed to offer more thrilling rides. Steel Eel had to be custom built to fit along the slim area beside the lake and utilizes a simple lap bar and seatbelt restraint system. Key elements of Steel Eel include two hills after the lift hill with a small valley between the two and a diving dogleg turn and triple humpback hills after its mid-course brake run.

In 1873 they introduced a new design of lever frame that would set the style of all frames to come. A dogleg on the shape of the levers allowed them to stand upright in the frame when in the normal position, which made them easier for a signalman to reach. The style of locking mechanism used by McKenzie and Holland from 1873 was known as cam and soldier locking, but cam and t-bar locking was introduced in 1886, and in the early 1890s McKenzie and Holland adopted tappet locking. At the International Exhibition in Sydney in 1880, Arthur Orpen Herbert, the Commissioner for Queensland Railway, was impressed by a display of McKenzie and Holland interlocking machines.

125th Street station Manhattanville is the site of a planned major expansion of Columbia University. The university purchased several square blocks of the neighborhood between 125thBecause of the dogleg shape of 125th Street on the west side, 125th Street and 129th Street merge, and so only four or five blocks are involved in the tract. and 133rd Streets on the south and north and between Broadway and 12th Avenue on the east side of Broadway from 131 to 134, west of the housing projects. According to the plan, the physical plant of those blocks will be partly demolished to construct a new campus, secondary school and park land, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano.

The stairwell to the north corner travels from the first floor to the roof level only, does not have terrazzo dado panelling and has sheeting to the balustrade of the top flight of the dogleg stair. A dumb waiter in the north corner services each level but is presently sealed over at ground level. The ground floor and some of the first floor have recently undergone an aggressive refurbishment but the logic of the circulation and the internal spaces remains though fabric has been lost. The former ground floor waiting room, now the reception and administration area, is lit from the courtyard by a bank of full height plain leadlight awning and fixed glass windows which are operated by a manual turning device.

In January 1964, Riverside also claimed the life of 1962–'63 NASCAR champion Joe Weatherly, who refused to wear a shoulder harness and wore his lap belt loosely. Weatherly died when he lost control entering Turn 6, hitting the steel barrier almost broadside and had his head snapped out the window against the barrier. Nevertheless, in 1983 Turn 9 was the site of the only fatality in IMSA GTP history. In the 1983 Times Grand Prix, Rolf Stommelen's Joest-constructed Porsche 935 lost its rear wing at the Dogleg and hit two freeway-type barriers sending it into a horrific roll at Turn 9. Of the entire road course races run at RIR, there was one that was run in a counter-clockwise direction, sometime around 1960.

There are 2 primary designs of compact tractor FELs, the traditional dogleg designed style and the curved arm style. John Deere manufactures a semi-curved loader design that does not feature the one piece curved arm, but also is not of the traditional two piece design. New Holland introduced a compact loader with a one piece curved arm on its compact utility tractors, similar one piece curved arm loaders are now available on compact tractors on many brands including Case IH/Farmall, and some Montana and Kioti tractors. Kubota markets traditional loader designs on most of its compact tractors but now features a semi-curved loader design similar to the John Deere loader design on several of its small tractors.

Jeff Gordon and Ryan Newman also had stints at the head of the race, with Newman leading the race at the time of the fifth caution of the race, caused by debris on the backstretch, with 66 laps to go. Newman swapped positions with Clint Bowyer on pit road and the lead cycled back to Harvick, for the restart with 61 laps to go. The sixth caution of the race flew with 35 laps to go for debris in turn 1, with the restart coming with 30 laps to go. With 27 laps to go, David Gilliland's left-rear tire delaminated in turn 1, and in the circuit's dogleg, he over-corrected the car and spun around bringing out the seventh caution of the race.

In what follows Δ will denote the points inside the triangle and will be taken to include its boundary Ω. A key result that will be used is the dogleg rule which asserts that if a triangle and a polygon have one side in common and the rest of the triangle lies inside the polygon then the triangle has a shorter perimeter than the polygon.

There is very little room to miss the green on this hole. 9th Hole: Another sharp dogleg left, the fairway falls downhill left to right for its entirety. This feeds into a stand of trees on the right side of the fairway. There’s also a pond beyond the green with a severe downslope feeding off the back of the green to the water, and a bunker short left of the green. This hole is 365-yards long. 10th Hole: This hole is a short, but narrow par four only 334-yards long with several prominent fairway bunkers but a relatively accessible green with ample space around it to miss. 11th Hole: This short, downhill par four features a difficult tee shot from an accuracy standpoint, but little distance.

There is a large bunker in the center of the fairway, and a sharp dogleg to the right, but the fact that this hole is severely downhill and only 357-yards makes it relatively easy. 12th Hole: The easier holes to start out the back nine ends on the 12th hole. It is a long, 525-yard par five that requires a difficult tee shot that demands the golfer carry at least 200 yards of hazard to reach the fairway, which then doglegs substantially right. From there, it is most likely a three shot approach for the average golfer, and the approach shot must negotiate an uphill shot to a green surrounded by three bunkers and the Haw River short of it, which dashes any hopes at reaching this difficult par five in two shots.

1988 was the final year of racing for Riverside. On June 12, 1988, NASCAR held its final Winston Cup race at RIR; the 1988 Budweiser 400 was won by Rusty Wallace (a caution flag, later red flag, was out for Ruben Garcia when he came off Turn 9 and lost control of his car and hit a wall, missing the grandstands, on lap 29), later on SCORE International held its last race on August 14, 1988.End of the road: Off-Road World Championships are Riverside International Raceway’s last show - Pat Ray, Los Angeles Times, 14 August 1988 In 1989, the track was modified from turn 7 to near the dogleg after a section of the backstretch and turn 7A near the Bosh Bridge was severed for Towngate Blvd. and Eucalyptus Ave.

Bodine was quite an accomplished driver before he hit the big-time in NASCAR's premier division, the Winston Cup Series, with his first start in 1979. By this time, Bodine was well known as a Modified driver in the Northeast, racing against popular drivers like Richie Evans, Jerry Cook, Jimmy Spencer, Ron Bouchard, and others. Bodine earned Modified championships at Stafford Speedway, Shangri-La Speedway, Spencer/Williamson Speedway, and Utica-Rome Speedway. He has won many of the big races in Modifieds including the Lancaster 200 (1978, 1981), Race of Champions (1972 - Trenton, 1978 - Pocono), the Stafford 200 (1978), the Trenton Dogleg 200 (1979), the Thompson 300, the Spring Sizzler (1980 - Stafford Speedway), Oswego Classic (1981), Cardinal Classic (1975 - Martinsville Speedway), Oxford 250 (1980, 1981), and other modified events.

Ford factory sports car driver Ken Miles was killed there in a testing accident in August 1966 when his Ford sports car prototype (known as the J-car) became aerodynamically unstable and flew out of control at the end of the back straight. In December 1968, American Formula 5000 champion Dr. Lou Sell crashed and overturned in Turn 9 on the first lap of the Rex Mays 300 Indianapolis-style race, suffering near-fatal burns. In January 1967, Canadian driver Billy Foster crashed at Turn 9 during a practice-session just prior to the start of qualifying for the Motor Trend 500 NASCAR race. These accidents and others caused track management to reconfigure Turn 9, giving the turn a dogleg approach and a much wider radius (a water improvement also closed the raceway for a few months).

In essence, the hole is double dogleg in the shape of an elongated and tall S. On the tee, there is out of bounds right and lateral hazard on the left. The ideal tee shot carries to the base of a hill, just to the right of the center of the fairway. The second shot has out of bounds on the whole right side, and well struck second shots will tend to land and bounce left, but the left hand side of the fairway is the preferable angle to play the third shot into a green that has a bunker well short, and one just off the back right, as well as out of bounds over the back of the green. The 6th hole is a par 4 which parallels the 3rd hole, and provides an excellent view of the course and clubhouse.

Kendall Drive and Southwest 88th Street continue east past the oblique junction with US 1 as a four-laned divided road, surrounded by condominiums, until it crosses Ludlam Road and narrows to a tree-lined two-laned undivided residential road as it passes Gulliver Preparatory School. Mansions and large-lot houses border the road to the south, with villas to the north as Kendall Drive continues eastwards, before turning more and more markedly to the southeast as it approaches the Snapper Creek Canal and Red Road (Southwest 57th Avenue). Southwest 88th Street takes a sharp dogleg to the left, sharing Red Road's bridge over the canal before continuing east again. Now running along a northern border of Coral Gables, Kendall Drive continues east past more houses and lakeside villas until it reaches its end at an intersection with Old Cutler Road.

The Thunderdome is a purpose-built quad-oval speedway located on the grounds of Calder Park Raceway. It was originally known as the Goodyear Thunderdome to reflect the naming rights sponsorship bought by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. With its "double dogleg" front stretch and the start/finish line located on a straight section rather than the apex of a curve, the Thunderdome is technically a quad-oval in shape, though since its opening it has generally been referred to as a tri-oval. The track, modelled on a scaled down version of the famous Charlotte Motor Speedway, has 24° banking on Turns 1, 2, 3 and 4 while the front stretch is banked at 4° and the back straight at 6°. The Thunderdome was completed in 1987, but can trace its roots back over twenty years previously when Australian motorsport icon Bob Jane, previous owner of Calder Park Raceway, travelled to the United States and visited the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Daytona International Speedway numerous times to gauge stock car racing's rise in popularity.

A Strong 2 Wood Higher-number woods are generally known as fairway woods and, as their name suggests, are designed for shots from off the turf of the fairway that still require long distance, such as the second shot of a par-5 or a long par-4 hole. They have two important features: a higher loft to lift the ball out of the turf and over low obstacles like hills, and a shallower face height which allows a player to hit a ball from the ground using the exact center of the club, providing greater distance for such shots. These two design features enable players to hit fairway woods off the ground with greater ease than modern deep-faced drivers. Fairway woods are also useful off the tee depending on the hole; players may for instance wish to play their tee shot short (known as "laying up") due to a dogleg or a hazard in range of their driver, and will opt instead for their 3-wood.

This road was to be named Dundas Street, in honor of Simcoe's friend Henry Dundas. Following the War of 1812, this route was deemed too vulnerable to American invasion, and was destroyed. A more northerly route was substituted, and cut by the Queen's Rangers under the direction of Captain George Taylor Denison, completed by 1817. This route involved an unusual dogleg. Its first segment continued west along Queen Street West, crossing Garrison Creek, and running to the eastern edge of Park Lot 25 (purchased not long before by Denison himself); a short 560-meter segment then turned north, running between Denison's Park Lot 25 and the neighbouring Park Lot 24 of James Givins; upon meeting an ancient First Nations "desire path" trail following the high ground beneath the western fork of Garrison Creek, the route turned again west along this natural contour, forming the final segment of Dundas Street (and by far the longest, running approximately 70 km west to the town of Dundas, Ontario along the route of contemporary Dundas Street West). The 560-meter north–south segment of Dundas Street would become the contemporary "Ossington Strip", and was developed as a mixed commercial and residential street beginning in the 1840s.
