We're going to hole ourselves in our little flat with a big bag of salty popcorn and zone out to this gorgeous Oneohtrix Point Never edit of Four Tet's "Evening Side" which got its first play last night on Rinse FM. As 0PN, most of us associate Daniel Lopatin with music that veers towards the experimental end of the electronic spectrum, so it's a slight surprise to hear him playing it relatively straight.

Some suggestions on what to pack: Snacks Gum A tiny brush/travel-sized hairspray/hair ties A small battery-powered fan (depending on the temperature) Tissues for crying/allergies Advil for potential headaches Earbuds (if you're in the mood to really zone out or want a better soundtrack than "Pomp and Circumstance") An inspiring photo (like one of Mom, the Obama family, Beyoncé, or Chris Evans as Captain America) It doesn't even have to be a fanny pack.

There's no point in pretending that you aren't sitting on the beach reflecting on what youth looks like in a bathing suit, watching the more self-conscious adolescents tug at their coverage, or the less self-conscious zone out with their earbuds in to protect them from their family groups, or admiring the he-must-be-10-years-older-than-we-are Father Neptune figure with the splendid dripping mustache who comes striding up out of the rolling breakers.

What if a receiver catches a pass in overtime, runs through the end zone, out of the stadium, across the street, into an airport, boards a plane, flies to Istanbul, meets a woman, dates her for six years, proposes marriage, gets married, moves back to America to accept a high school coaching job, coaches high school football for 40 years, receives a gym teacher of the year award, dies six years later, and is buried with the football he never put down for the rest of his life?
