Swarb's Lazarus, or just Lazarus were an English folk band formed by Dave Swarbrick ("Swarb") (fiddle, mandolin, vocals) with ex-Whippersnapper Kevin Dempsey (guitar, vocals) and ex-Fairport Maartin Allcock (multi- instrumentalist, vocals). They have released one album - Live and Kicking (2006),Squiggle Records: SQUIGGLECD2) a compilation of live recordings made in April and May 2006, which has received critical approval. The instrumental track The Brilliancy Medley And The Cherokee Shuffle was included on the Folk Awards 2007 Box Set Proper: PROPERFOLK03 The band's name is an ironic reference to Swarbrick having his obituary published some years before.

Bruce Rowlands gave up the music business and moved to Denmark and as a result Dave Mattacks returned as drummer for Fairport's occasional gigs. Dave Pegg was the first of several Fairporters to join Jethro Tull which gave him well-paying steady employment. Simon Nicol had teamed up with Dave Swarbrick in a highly regarded acoustic duo, but this partnership was made difficult by Swarbrick's sudden decision to move to Scotland, where, from 1984 he began to focus on his new project Whippersnapper. In 1985, Pegg, Nicol and Mattacks found that they all had some free time and an available studio belonging to Pegg.

The band played Chicago Blues and New Orleans music and performed around the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. In June, 1999, at the age of fourteen, Marriner won the Ottawa Blues Harp Blow-Off, an annual battle of harmonica players held at The Rainbow Bistro. With the win came an appearance on stage at the Ottawa Bluesfest and a recording sessions at Distortion Studios in Ottawa. The Johnny Russell Band used the studio time to record their album Whippersnapper. The album was released in December 1999, and is the earliest public recording of Marriner. In 2000, Marriner began recording and touring with the JW-Jones Blues Band, contributing both vocals and harp.

Whipwreck attempted to deliver a Whippersnapper to Mamaluke from the top rope but Guido hit him with the title belt and executed a Kiss of Death to retain the titles. Rhino defended the World Television Championship against Rob Van Dam in the penultimate match. Rhino hit a Gore and a Rhino Spike to RVD on a table outside the ring to get a near-fall and then Bill Alfonso got involved as he handed a chair to RVD, who delivered a Van Daminator to Rhino and both men were down.
