Tangi William Edward Utikere (born ) is a New Zealand politician. He has been the deputy mayor of Palmerston North since 2016, and is the first non-European to serve in that role. He is the Labour Party candidate for the Palmerston North electorate in the 2020 general election, replacing Iain Lees-Galloway.

Faran Tangi is a village and union council of Ziarat District in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It lies 10 km from Ziarat, off the main road to Quetta. A small waterfall formed by the mountain spring flows down, it is 2 km walk from the main road to the waterfall and is ideal place for a picnic.
According to the father of Budanov's victim, Budanov's tank regiment had been encamped just outside Tangi-Chu since February 2000, and Budanov himself had a notorious reputation among villagers. About ten days before the murder, Budanov reportedly arbitrarily searched and looted several homes in Tangi Chu, and two days before the incident he reportedly looted and threatened to torch several other homes. From 2001 to 2003, Russian courts tried Colonel Yuri Budanov on the charges of March 27, 2000, kidnapping, rape (an allegation later withdrawn by the prosecution) and brutal murder of Elza Kungaeva, an 18-year-old Chechen woman whom Budanov alleged of being a sniper for Chechen rebels who were attacking his unit. He admitted killing her in a fit of rage, but denied the rape charges.

The yellow-spotted fanray was described by Y. Iwatsuki, J. Zhang and K. Nakaya in 2011 as one of the three species in the genus Platyrhina. Tangi Cheshmeh Shafa is Afghanistan's largest Achaemenid site discovered to date. It spans about 3km square. The site dates back to 500-600 BC. In the oasis, a huge white rock, shaped like an anvil, is evidence of Zoroastrian priests that performed rituals for people who lived in the region around 600 BC. On the altar's flat top is a well for oil.

Vissa Kungaev, Elza Kungaeva's father, said that between midnight and 1 a.m. on March 27, 2000, a loud noise woke the Kungaev family. Tanguy Malmanche (7 September 1875 - 20 March 1953) was a French writer involved in the revival of Breton culture. His first name also appears as Tangi. The son of Gustave Malmanche, a ship's purser based in Paris, and Marie Louise Piédalu, he was born Tanneguy Malmanche at Saint-Omer, where his mother's parents lived. He grew up in Brest, where he was exposed to Breton language and culture.

The district is composed of several separate valleys called Surkh Valley, Parsa Valley, Turkman Valley, Gandaab Valley, Paawaaz Valley as well as Lolenge and Do-aab. In Lolenge, there is historical shrine for pilgrimage known as the “Shah Daleer” or “The Brave King". There is a large historical fort, locally known as “The Castle of Sayid Sarwar Khan". There are two big rivers joining together in Lolenge near Tangi Azhdahaar.
Saint Tanguy of Locmazhé, or Sant Tangi in Breton, (+ 594) was a Breton monk from Gerber (Le Relecq). He founded the abbaye de Saint Matthieu at Le Conquet and is buried at Locmazhé (Finistère). In October 2020, the Government committed $337,112 from the Provincial Growth Fund to upgrade the marae, and create 12 jobs. Pukekaraka Marae in Ōtaki was the site of a Catholic mission from 1842. It includes the Roma meeting house, built in 1904, and Hine Nui O Te Ao Katoa meeting house, built for tangi and larger gatherings in 1905. The marae has been used by both Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and Muaupoko.

He was classmates with Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo and he was taught by Canaan Banana and Edson Zvobgo. In addition, burning petrol was prevented from entering the engine bay by a fabric strip around the bonnet edge and at the hinge between the bonnet and the front bulkhead. Further, the engine radiator was protected from damage with a substantial louvred grill fabricated from 3 mm steel sheet. Traditionally all formal speeches are followed by a waiata sung by the speaker and their group of supporters. Pyrus pashia, the wild Himalayan pear, is a small to medium size deciduous tree of the small and oval shaped crown with ovate, finely toothed leaves, attractive white flowers with red anthers and small pear-like fruits. Indoxysticus is a genus of Asian crab spiders that was first described by S. P. Benjamin & Z. Jaleel in 2010. it contains three species, all found in Asia: I. lumbricus, I. minutus, and I. tangi. The genus differs from others in its family by the oval-shaped spermathecae with well-defined chambers in females and by the broad-based embolus in males. They live in vegetation as opposed to related genus Xysticus, which lives on the ground.
SEALs and other SOTF still conducted Direct Action missions, but now partnered with Afghan forces. On 6 August 2011, seventeen U.S. Navy SEALs were killed when their CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down by an RPG fired by Taliban militants. The SEALs were en route to support U.S. Army Rangers who were taking fire while attempting to capture a senior Taliban leader in the Tangi Valley. The Tochi Valley is in northern Waziristan, located between Bannu District and Khost Province, and is inhabited by the Dawari Pashtun tribe. The valley is divided into two parts, known as Upper and Lower Dawar, by a narrow pass called the Taghrai Tangi, some three miles long. The Hotspur Hussar is a military armoured personnel carrier designed in 1984 and based upon the Land Rover Hotspur and Tangi. It features a third driven axle to provide a 6x6 configuration and is capable of carrying a crew of two plus ten fully equipped soldiers over rugged terrain. Up to six gun ports may be provided, three on each side of the vehicle through which the occupants can fire at an enemy. The Hotspur Hussar was exported to Egypt and Sri Lanka.
The peninsula on which Cape Gloucester sits consists of a rough semi-circular coast, extending from Lagoon Point in the west to Borgen Bay in the east. At the base of the peninsula is Mount Talawe, a extinct volcano, which runs laterally east to west. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Kiriti Bagdi of CPI defeated Madan Bauri of Trinamool Congress in 2001 and Bibekananda Layek of Congress in 1996. Madan Bauri of CPI defeated Shib Shankar Mondal of Congress in 1991, and Binode Behari Maji of Congress in 1987 and 1982.
Under phase 2 Hingol (Balochistan), Satpara (Northern Areas), Sanjwal (Punjab) and Kurram Tangi Dams (KPK), the Gajnai and Sehwan barrages (Sindh), alongside Chashma Right Bank canal, phase 2 of the Greater Thal canal Akhori and phase 2 of Thar/ Rainee canals in 3–6 years. Bhasha Dam will take 8–10 years for its completion. The estimated cost for these projects will be $8.94 billion. Under Phase 3, the Yugo, Skardu, Dhok-Tallian, Rohtas, Naulong and Khadji dams will be completed.
During British rule Charsadda was the North-western tehsil of Peshawar District, its boundaries were larger than today lying between 34°2' and 34°32' N. and 71° 30' and 71° 56'E, with an area of . The population was 142,756 according to the 1901 census an increase of almost 10,000 since the 1891 census (132,917). It contained three towns, Charsadda, Prang (19,354) and Tangi, with 168 villages. The land revenue and cesses amounted in 1903-4 to Rs. 3,60,000.

Kuini Samuels was the disproving mother of Huia Samuels (Nicola Kawana) and the aunt of TK Samuels (Benjamin Mitchell). The two, along with Chinamano's wife Ruth, Joseph Msika, another leadership figure in the struggle, and Daniel Madzimbamuto, one of the longest serving detainees, and Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo were detained by the Smith administration in 1964. Their influential role at the forefront of the movement proved threatening to the Rhodesian government; the five leaders spent several years in Gonakudzingwa Restriction Camp, separated from their young families.
Nkomo was detained at Gonakudzingwa Restriction Camp by Ian Smith's government in 1964, with fellow outlaw rebels Ndabaningi Sithole, Edgar Tekere, Enos Nkala, Maurice Nyagumbo, Robert Mugabe, until 1974. Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo a student youth leader was also detained with them for some time. A large number of them were released due to pressure from South African prime minister B. J. Vorster. Following Nkomo's release, he went to Zambia to continue opposing the Rhodesian government through the dual processes of armed resistance and negotiation.

Otamarakau () is a beach and community in the Western Bay of Plenty District and Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island, just south of Pukehina. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "place of young warriors" for Ōtamarākau. Ōtamarākau Marae and its Waitahanui a Hei meeting house are a traditional meeting place for the Ngāti Mākino hapū of Ngāti Mākino and Ngāti Te Awhe. The modern waterfront marae is primarily geared up for hosting tangi, but also hosts other functions for Bay of Plenty organisations.
On April 14, 2014, Star Music officially released the “Dyesebel The Official Soundtrack” and is now available in physical and digital formats in various music stores. Broadway actress and The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea Salonga had her own version of the Dyesebel theme song, Tangi Kong Kailangan. During the Rhodesian Bush War, he served on the ZANU high command, or Dare reChimurenga as Treasurer (dura remusangano). When Nkala and most of the nationalists within the leadership were imprisoned, Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo took over the role. Nkala was detained by the Rhodesian government at Gonakudzingwa for 12 years with the rest of the ZANU-PF (formed in Nkala's house in Highfields) leadership, consisting of Ndabaningi Sithole, Leopold Takawira, Robert Mugabe, Edgar Tekere and Morris Nyagumbo. When Edgar Tekere was in prison, he tabled the motion of having Sithole removed as the supreme leader and replaced by Mugabe.
The Takamore whānau travelled south to Christchurch for the tangihanga which was to be held at Te Whare Roimata marae in Christchurch. Prior to the tangi, there was a confrontation at the funeral parlour, in which the Takamore whānau expressed a wish to return Takamore to his ancestral home; after the confrontation grew heated Clarke left. The Takamore whānau took the body north to the family urupa at Kutarere, in eastern Bay of Plenty. Clarke obtained a court order barring burial, but police arriving to enforce the court order found the burial already in progress and did not enforce it.

A Land Rover Tangi Armour kits from tired Hotspurs were fitted onto brand-new Land Rover Defender 110 civilian chassis. When donor kits ran out, the RUC workshops began to fabricate brand-new ones. The vehicles' headlights were initially protected from damage by transparent polycarbonate shields, but these were quickly found to be less durable than the original metal grilles of the Hotspur and were replaced. At the front and rear of the roof each of the Tangis were fitted with a remotely controlled spotlight and a rotating blue warning light, all protected by expanded metal grilles.

The production and recording of the album started on 2019. The album consists of 8 tracks. Unique was credited as the primary writer, producer, arranger of the album, and the instrumentation of the whole album was made by Salonga himself on vocals, guitar, and synth, Divino Dayacap on piano and percussions, Ghabby Gee on drums, and Emil Dela Rosa on bass, who also mixed and mastered the tracks of the album. "Bukod-Tangi" and "Lamang Lupa", which were the singles from Pangalan, were the first songs to be recorded for the album itself, while "Pahinga" was the last track to be recorded for the album.
In May 2013, at the tangi of MP Parekura Horomia, the Tuhoe iwi, who had initially supported Te Kooti and the rebel Hau Hau movement in their 19th century war against the government, gave a gift to Ngati Porou to end nearly 150 years of bitterness between the tribes. Ngati Porou had provided many of the soldiers who tracked down the guerilla leader in the late 1860s and had numerous conflicts with Tuhoe Hau Hau. During one conflict 120 Tuhoe Hau hau were captured and killed. Tuhoe leader Tu Waaka said he did not want successive generations to be encumbered by the events of the past.

For example, in May 2017 and July 2018 the marae was the site of ceremonies of repatriation of Māori and Moriori remains – including toi moko – from several European and American institutions. Rongomaraeroa is unique in its ability to serve as the location for such ceremonies as it is a "nationalised, pan-iwi marae". As traditional gathering spaces, marae are always located on the ground.

The two married in 1950 and shortly afterwards they went to Rhodesia, where she taught at Waddilove Institute, near Marandellas, 60 km east of Salisbury. In 1964 she was detained in Gonakudzingwa Restriction Camp, near the Mozambique border, with her husband and spent the next decade in and out of detention. Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo was also detained there for sometime as a student youth leader. She and her husband were transferred from Gonakudzingwa to Wha wha prison, outside Gwelo, where they remained until 1970, when they were released but confined to an 8 km radius restriction before being arrested again, being released again in 1974.
Due to the denuding of the Indian Army caused by commitments overseas during the First World War, many of the battalions employed in this campaign were second-line units with disproportionately large numbers of very young soldiers with inexperienced officers. The fighting continued for about twelve months in this vein, and the British had to resort to using aircraft on a number of occasions to suppress the tribesmen. There were a number of successes, though, notably the 2nd/5th Gurkhas' stand during the eight-day battle in January 1920 at Ahnai Tangi, and the efforts of the 2nd/76th Punjabis who fought their way through to support them.

Tsarkhum stands on a steep cliff overlooking the Bazar Tangi, and as the advanced guard reached this point fire was opened from the high hill Tsapara, and the left flank piquets, covered by the guns, were engaged the whole way to Walai, near where the column halted for the night. The wing of the 2-5th Gurkhas was left to occupy Tsapara.

The River Jindi used to have enough water to sustain the surrounding area, but over the last few years, due to the environmental changes including massive droughts and rising global temperatures, the river does not. This, coupled with growing pollution of the water, is making the ability to acquire fresh clean water detrimental to the area and its surrounding population. The river passes through other villages like Spankharo, Prang Ghar, Palay, Umerzai, Turangzai, Utmanzai and then through one of the tehsil of Charsadda Tangi, and it meets with the Swat River south of Charsadda at Baberra.
In December 2008, under the command of LTC Kimo Gallahue and as part of NATO's International Security Assistance Force, the battalion again deployed to Afghanistan, this time taking control of the embattled Wardak Provence. As part of Task Force Spartan (3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Soldiers of the Catamount Battalion took up positions in the Nherk, Maidan Shar, Saydabad, Jalrez, Jaghatu, Chak, and Tangi Valley districts, with the primary missions of securing Afghanistan's primary highway and establishing positive relationships with the people of Wardak Provence in order to drive the insurgency from the area. They returned to Fort Drum in January 2010 where they were awarded the Valorous Unit Citation.
Mkondo did his Sub A (Grade 1) to Standard One (Grade 3) at Schoora Estate Primary School. After Standard One, Mkondo moved to another farm in Wedza, which became known as Edridge (Duva) Estate where he worked as a stable boy looking after horses, and then became the butler. During this time his father Tangi Mhova Mkondo joined fellow migrants recruited by Witswatersrand Native Labour Association (WNLA/ WENELA) to catch the Stimela train to work in the gold mines of Johannesburg, South Africa. This was in order to pay for the controversial hut tax imposed upon black Rhodesians (Zimbabwe) by the colonial government, as traditional subsistence farming did not generate enough income to afford the tax.
The party suffered from internal strife in the leadup to the 2010 election. In December 2009, Prime Minister Jim Marurai sacked his Deputy Prime Minister, Terepai Maoate, sparking a mass- resignation of Democratic Party cabinet members He and new Deputy Prime Minister Robert Wigmore were subsequently expelled from the Democratic Party, and the party withdrew its support. A formal split was averted in June 2010 when a party conference readmitted Marurai, Wigmore, and the other Cabinet members, and appointed Wigmore as party leader, with Wilkie Rasmussen as his deputy. However, several senior MPs, including former leader Terepai Maoate and former President John Tangi subsequently failed to win reselection and ran as independents.

The Battle of Derapet was fought near the village of Derapet in the Tangi Valley in Deh Rahwod, Orūzgān Province, southern Afghanistan, between a combined Australian Army and Afghan National Army patrol and Taliban forces on 24 August 2010.
