The cavern is located in Kaech'ŏn-si, South Pyongan Province. Angel is a 1966 experimental animated short directed by Derek May and produced by Guy Glover for the National Film Board of Canada. The landscape paintings of Dutch painter Johan Barthold Jongkind (1819-1891) influenced both Boudin and Monet and contributed to the development of early Impressionism. The California-based artist also became homesick working his first international assignment. Only four artists from the newly assembled team had experience of working on a multi-million dollar studio set. Creation of the effects was daunting because of their technical demands. The filmmakers camouflaged some of the stop-motion and matte effects in the forest-set chase scene to convey the desired intensity, and enhancing the snowscape with particle effects posed another challenge.

It depicts a snow-covered road in front of a barn, with tracks of a horse cart and various footsteps in the snow. After a 10-year hiatus, in November 2010 frontman Hachino and drummer Okabe released a debut single, "Tokyo, Snowscape" under a moniker of Livingstone Daisy, joined by ambient musician Hosomi Sakana. "This World of Sorrow" was their second release in February, followed by "June Song" in September, with debut album "33 Minutes Before the Light" released in March 2013. Funding shortages required Giacosi to improvise in response to Fellini's demands. When filming continued into spring, Giacosi was able to re-create the wintry scenes by piling thirty bags of plaster onto all the bedsheets he could find to simulate a snowscape. When a crowd scene was required, Giacosi convinced the local priest to move up 8 April celebration of the town's patron saint by a few days, thus securing the presence of some 4,000 unpaid extras. To guarantee that the crowd did not dissipate as the hours passed, Fellini instructed assistant director Rossi to shout, "Get the rooms ready for Totò and Sophia Loren," two of the most popular Italian entertainers of the period, so nobody left.
