It is an alternate route of existing NH-65 [Pali to Ambala]. The new Link NH-65A will divert from Main NH-65 at Nimbi Jodha near Ladnun and run through Banthari, Khatu, Sanju, Langod, Degana, Idwa etc. It will be a much shorter route towards Pali for all traffic from Haryana. Private Buses runs from Degana to Ajmer, Nagaur, Deedwana, Merta, Makrana, Parbatsar and Jodhpur but with very unpleasant service and an oligopolistic system of bus operators running on approx hourly basis connecting most of the villages of this Sub-division.

This sketch, painted on paper in black ink with light colouring, depicts two ladies sitting opposite each another, their heads being encircled by nimbi. Both are represented holding various attributes: the lady on the left, who sits on a rectangular throne supported by a row of lotus petals, holds a foliated cup and a tray with a dog seated on it. The one on the right is seated on a dog or wolf, and has four arms, the upper two supporting the sun and moon discs, the lower two arms holding a scorpion and a snake. They wear a characteristic hairstyle, surmounted by a water-drop-shaped or peach-shaped headdresses that are probably made of metal.

The municipality’s arms might be described thus: Or an eagle bicapitated displayed sable with nimbi gules surmounted by a Latin cross argent, itself surmounted by a dexter hand palewise proper, the forefinger and middle finger extended, the others flexed. The arms go back to a court seal from 1722 which bore the inscription SVB MANV SOLIVS DEI (“Under the only God’s hand”). The eagle is the old Imperial eagle. The cross and the hand are traditional charges locally standing for the old jurisdiction that the municipality held. The hand, with the forefinger and middle finger extended, is what in German is called a Schwurhand (“swearing hand” or “oath-taking hand”), as this is the typical gesture locally.

The cross-on-lotus symbol carved on the Nestorian Stele, which can also be seen in the headdress worn by the figure in this painting. According to Meicun Lin (a professor of the School of Archeology and Museology at Peking University) and Szonja Buslig (a lecturer of Eötvös Loránd University), they believe that the style of this painting deliberately imitates the reliefs at Taq-i Bustan, a site with a series of large rock reliefs from the era of Sasanian Empire. For example, both have nimbi, wear similar necklaces, and even basic positions are very similar. It is speculated that this painting was made based on the icon of Christ that the Persian missionary Alopen carried to Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Empire.

The mullet (star) likely stands for the local court.
