Clark Dibble came to Michigan from New York State. He initially lived in Detroit and then Pontiac, but then stumbled across a site near the Saginaw Road where numerous Indian trails crossed. Convinced that the easy access to transportation could make a prosperous settlement, Dibble established the town of Dibbleville at this site in 1834. He established a sawmill and promoted the settlement, but did not stay long.

Dibble Glacier () in Antarctica is a prominent channel glacier flowing from the continental ice and terminating in a prominent tongue at the east side of Davis Bay. It was delineated from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump (1946–47), and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Jonas Dibble, ship's carpenter on the sloop Peacock of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838–42) under Charles Wilkes. Dibble is credited with leaving his sick bed and working 24 hours without relief with other carpenters to repair a broken rudder on the Peacock, when the ship was partially crushed in an ice bay in 151°19′E and forced to retire northward.

Dibble Bluff () is a conspicuous rock bluff, south of Marshall Cirque on the west side of White Island, Ross Archipelago. It rises abruptly from McMurdo Ice Shelf to over . It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (1999) after Raymond R. Dibble of the Department of Geology, Victoria University of Wellington, who investigated volcanic eruptions and the seismicity of nearby Mount Erebus in five seasons, 1980–81 through 1984–85.

The Horace L Dibble House was built circa 1859 in Molalla, Oregon for Horace Lasalle Dibble and his family. The house is unusual as an example of a saltbox, a dwelling type more commonly associated with Colonial-era New England. The timber-framed house has two stories on the eastern main facade, and one story in the rear. It is unusual for a Settlement Era house to have such large rooms, large windows, and two fireplaces.

Condit Woodhull Dibble (October 23, 1876 – September 14, 1948) was an American football player and coach. He starred in football as a halfback at Lawrenceville School, a prep school in New Jersey, and briefly for Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He was also the head coach of the 1897 Buffalo football team. When he entered Lawrenceville he became one of the school's all-time football heroes because of his speed and prowess as a halfback that won him the name of "Flash" Dibble.

He traveled to the island of Maui and enrolled at Lahainaluna Seminary in 1833, where he became a student of Reverend Sheldon Dibble. To further this goal, Kamakau helped form the first Hawaiian historical society in 1841.

Susan M. Reverby describes Dibble, in her book, Examining Tuskegee: The Infamous Syphilis Study and Its Legacy, as a race/science man who was committed to the improvement of conditions for African Americans. He was not a researcher but he did support the importance of it and the need for it. Dr. Dibble and his staff also assisted with some aspects of the study, particularly physical examinations, X-rays, and spinal taps to look for signs of neurosyphilis. Furthermore, he recommended Eunice Rivers as the project's nurse.

Dibble was born in Madison County, New York in 1815 to Thomas and Ruth Gates Dibble. He married his wife Julia Ann Sturges in Van Buren County, Iowa in July 1845. In 1852, Horace, Julia, their three children, along with members of the Sturges family, traveled overland to Oregon and settled in the Needy area of the Willamette Valley. While riding out looking for lost cattle, Horace came upon a knoll covered with apple trees not far from the four corners of what is now Molalla.

During World War II all managers of Veterans Administration hospitals were given the rank of Colonel and from 1944 to 1946, he was commissioned at this rank in the Army Medical Corps. This made Dibble the first African American medical officer to be commissioned at this rank. In 1946, he became the medical director, for the second time, of the John A. Andrew Memorial Hospital until 1965, when his cancer had worsened and had to retire. Dibble also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dibble of Eldon is employed in "Railroading." livery stable owner, and Civil War veteran, lived in Eldon in the late nineteenth century. He and his wife, Catharine, began building the house in 1881 for themselves and their eight children. He saw the Tuskegee study as a "…very valuable training for our students as well as for the interns.... our own hospital and the Tuskegee Institute would get credit for this piece of research work." Dr. Dibble knew that his hospital and Tuskegee Institute needed to provide research opportunities as well as clinical care. When the offer to work on the study came, he accepted it for the opportunity to gain resources as well as funding for medical care. The study provided specialists for the patients and Raymond A. Vonderlehr was appointed to Dr. Dibble. In the 1950s, Dibble reported on the study as part of the work of John A. Andrew Memorial Hospital and titled it: “the U.S. Public Health Service study of syphilis in the Negro male in Macon County.” In his report he mentions the study and the examinations but the word “untreated” is omitted.

Dibble had various youth clubs, he started with Peñarol which came before spells with Plaza Colonia, Juventud, Nacional de Montevideo, Nacional de Nueva Helvecia and Defensor Sporting prior to rejoining Plaza Colonia. He made his professional football debut in 2013 with Plaza Colonia in the Uruguayan Segunda División, making his bow in a 1–1 draw with Deportivo Maldonado on 12 October. Dibble received his B.A. in 1971 and Ph.D. in 1981, both from the University of Arizona. He wrote his dissertation under the direction of Arthur J. Jelinek, an American archaeologist who had been trained in North American prehistoric archaeology by Leslie A. White and who worked on both the Paleolithic of Western Eurasia and the Mimbres culture in New Mexico. Harold Lewis Dibble (1951 – 10 June 2018) was an American Paleolithic archaeologist. His main research concerned the lithic reduction, during which he conducted fieldwork in France, Egypt, and Morocco. He was a professor of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania and Curator-in-Charge of the European Section of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

Bruce B. Brugmann was editor and publisher of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, a weekly alternative newspaper published in San Francisco. He co-founded the newspaper with his wife, Jean Dibble, in 1966. Brugmann was born in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska, where he was editor of the college newspaper, and a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

He started as a clerk in the accounts department. His voice soon attracted attention, and in Canberra he gained his first ABC job in radio doing voice- overs. Dibble was best known as the senior newsreader for ABC-TV, beginning with the first televised news bulletin on ABN-2 Sydney on 5 November 1956. He reported the biggest news stories of the period, including the Soviet intervention in the Hungarian Revolution (in his very first bulletin; the events in Hungary caused the scheduled commencement of the ABC-TV news service to be brought forward), the assassination of John F. Kennedy (1963), the disappearance of Prime Minister Harold Holt (1967), the Apollo 11 Moon landing (1969), the destruction of Darwin by Cyclone Tracy (1974), and the dismissal of the Whitlam government (1975).

Dibble was born in Skaneateles, New York on January 26, 1809. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1827, and the Auburn Theological Seminary in October 1830, where he married Maria M. Tomlinson (1808–1837). They arrived in the fourth company from the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in 1831 on the ship New England from New Bedford. He was one of the youngest missionaries, only 22 years old when he arrived.

Adam Dibble was born in Exeter, Devon on 9 March 1991. As a right-arm fast-medium bowler, he played age-group cricket for Devon County Cricket Club before joining Somerset in 2008. During 2009 and 2010, he played for Somerset's second team, alongside club cricket for Sidmouth Cricket Club. His strong performances for the second team led to his senior debut in 2011, during the Clydesdale Bank 40, a one-day competition.

Haleʻole was born around 1819 in Kohala during the time of King Kamehameha I's death and before the arrival of the American missionaries who arrived in Hawaii in 1820. He was one of the first generation of Hawaiians to receive a Western education by the American missionaries. Andrew Gerald Dibble (born 8 May 1965) is a Welsh former professional footballer and goalkeeping coach at Football Championship side Cardiff City. As a player, he was as a goalkeeper from 1982 to 2006. During his career he played in the Premier League for Manchester City and in the Scottish Premier Division for Aberdeen and Rangers. He also played in the Football League for Cardiff City, Luton Town, Huddersfield Town, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bolton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, Hartlepool United, Carlisle United, Stockport County and Wrexham.

Dibble began his career at Cardiff City, joining as an apprentice in June 1981 and turning professional in August 1982. He made his first team debut on his 17th birthday in a 1–0 defeat to Crystal Palace. The following season, he established himself as the club's first choice goalkeeper helping the side to promotion and the next year he missed just one league match. His performances at the club alerted a number of clubs and he moved to Luton Town for £125,000 in July 1984.

He spent in the off-season in the Mexican League, then in March 1991 was signed to a one-year deal along with Rob Dibble, Chris Sabo, and Reggie Jefferson. He again spent most of the season in the minors, mainly playing for Chattanooga but also playing five games for the Nashville Sounds. He pitched in 36 games for Chattanooga and had a 4.36 ERA. During the 1990 Cincinnati Reds season, he pitched in nine games and had a 6.10 ERA, not winning or losing any games.

The original house called Joldwynds was acquired by surgeon and anatomist William Bowman,Dibble (2002), pp. 84–86. later Baronet of Holmbury St Mary, following the death in 1870 of its owner, Henry Champion Wetton. Roosevelt visited in 1936 and Eleanor Roosevelt visited in both 1939 and 1941. In 1956, he was selected as an honorary member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a society which recognizes excellence in the profession of medicine, through the Gamma Chapter of the District of Columbia. The next year, he received a distinguished service medal as an Alumni Award from his alma mater, Howard University.

He served as the head football coach at Colorado Agricultural College—now known as Colorado State University from 1901 to 1902, compiling a record of 2–5–2. A graduate of Iowa State University, Griffith was the assistant coach under George Toomey at Colorado Agricultural in 1900. When Toomey stepped down after the controversy of Joseph Dibble being a professional, Griffith took over as head coach for the remainder of the 1901 season.

Ansen Dibell was the pen name used by Nancy Ann Dibble (September 8, 1942 – March 7, 2006), an American science fiction author, who also published books about fiction writing. Born in Staten Island, New York, she received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Iowa Writers Workshop and earned a doctorate in 19th-century English literature. She taught literature and creative writing at several colleges and universities until 1980, when she became a freelance editor and author. From 1983 she worked as editor at Writer's Digest Books.

The Albion Block (1657-1659) was built in 1866 as a boarding house; it was acquired in 1877 by the Bay State Paper Company, which gave the building its name and converted it into office space. The 1950 Michigan State Spartans football team represented Michigan State College in the 1950 college football season. In their fourth season under head coach Biggie Munn, the Spartans compiled an 8–1 record and were ranked #8 in the final AP Poll. Two Spartans received first-team honors on the 1950 College Football All-America Team. Fullback Sonny Grandelius received first-team honors from the Associated Press, International News Service, and Central Press Association, and end Dorne Dibble received the honors from the Football Writers Association of America.

Lazlo-Lazlo (known as Lazlo-Lozla in the Spanish version) is a janitor-turned-musician. When Officer Dibble bought a record by him, the musical director of Carnegie Hall mistakenly thought it was Benny playing and took in Benny for his talent, before realizing that it wasn't Benny, but the janitor. Before being "discovered" in this manner, Lazlo was told to "stick to your broom" by Top Cat, after asking for advice. Despite being famous now, Lazlo still works by day as the venue's janitor, and cleans up after every show.

In 1875, the land, which had previously been used for slave burials, was purchased by Richard Brock, Houston's first black alderman. It opened as a cemetery for black Methodists in 1877. When Olivewood was platted, it was the first African-Americans burial ground within the Houston city limits. It was named after Mrs. Mason's grandfather, former Massachusetts governor John Albion Andrew. In a 1919 article in the Nation's Health, Kinney described the hospital as "a modern, up-to-date, well- appointed, two-story brick building, with accommodations for sixty patients with no crowding, and for a good many more when it is necessary." Four miles north of Ratliff City, SH-76 overlaps for five miles (8 km) with SH-29, before splitting off to the north to SH-19, which it overlaps with through Lindsay. Fifteen miles north of here, it has a four-way-stop controlled intersection with SH-39 west of Dibble.

The son of high school teachers, he was raised in Toronto, and began taking his bands to perform in local clubs during his teens. He first attracted record label interest with The Watertown Trio, although by the time he signed to Warner Music Group in 1989 Dibble was the band's only core member and was otherwise supplemented by session musicians. The battalion was attached to Combat Command B of the 11th Armored Division, part of Third Army, on 24 February, and committed to action on 1 March, when the commanding officer was killed in action. As time presses on, Beeves gets progressively more tired and frustrated with his incompetence in diagnosing the Marmon’s mechanical issues. At the brink of his exhaustion, an Austrian mechanic named Gus enters the barn and offers to fix the Marmon at no charge while David rests. When he awakes in the morning, Gus has disappeared and Dibble has returned.

After one season, the USPHL-Midwest was split into the Elite and USP3 Divisions with the Energy added to the Elite Division for 2016–17. In February 2017, owner Cal Ballard announced that he had given up management operations of the Energy to the Dibble Group (an management group headed by the Janesville Jets head coach in the North American Hockey League) in October 2016. His reasons were due to the changing landscape of Tier III junior hockey and the difficulties of fielding a team. He assumed the Energy would be ceasing operations at the end of the season.

Hemacite is a material made from sawdust and the blood of slaughtered animals cattle and pig. It was invented (and patented) by Dr W H Dibble of New Jersey in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. Hydraulic pressure () and chemical compounds, blood and sawdust were transformed by Dibble's Hemacite Manufacturing Company into everything from doorknobs and roller skate wheels to cash register buttons and telephone receivers; there is even extensive use in Victorian jewellery. Hemacite was inexpensive but fell out of favor with the popularity of new plastics like Bakelite, it is quite easy to misidentify Hemacite with Bakelite.

John Jay Hall was the site of violent anti-Vietnam War protest led by the vice-chairman of the Columbia University Chapter of the SDS, Ted Gold. Over 300 protesters followed Gold into the lobby of John Jay, where they confronted the recruiting efforts the U.S. Marines had mounted there. After the protesters came under attack by right-wing students, Gold urged a retreat in order to avoid further conflict. After regrouping at the West End bar near campus, sociology professor and SDS professor Vernon Dibble invoked the skirmish inside the building to rally the dejected students.

Dibble made an early season appearance in the County Championship in which he took three wickets against Warwickshire, but suffered a rib injury during the game which ruled him out of the team. Bonfire Shelter is located in Texas Bison hunting was performed as "bison jumps" which involved stampeding a herd of bison over a cliff, and then butchering the dead animals. In the shelter, there are two distinct zones of bison bones. Each zone represents several bison jumps over relatively little time, perhaps no more than 50–100 years, but the two zones occurred nearly 7500 years apart. The earlier bones are dated to Paleo-Indian period hunts, while the later occurred in around 500 BC. The site was originally investigated by legendary Texas archaeologist David S. Dibble.

Bisitun Cave (also called "Hunter's cave", Bisotun [Farsi], Bisetoun [Kurdish], Bisitoun, or Behistoun) is an archaeological site of prehistoric human habitation in the Zagros Mountains in the Kermanshah province, north- west Iran. Bisitun Cave is one of five caves situated at the base of The Rock of Bisitun, a 1300m high cliff within the Chamchamal Plain. It was first excavated in 1949 by Carlton Coon, and is notable for the discovery of Mousterian stone tools of the Middle Paleolithic, as well as the remains of 109 identifiable species of Pleistocene mammals, and hominid remains. Dibble described the stone tools as having strong Levallois components.

Grant Wood, Self-portrait, 1932, Figge Art Museum In August 1930, Grant Wood, an American painter with European training, was driven around Eldon, Iowa, by a young local painter named John Sharp. Looking for inspiration, he noticed the Dibble House, a small white house built in the Carpenter Gothic architectural style. Sharp's brother suggested in 1973 that it was on this drive that Wood first sketched the house on the back of an envelope. Wood's earliest biographer, Darrell Garwood, noted that Wood "thought it a form of borrowed pretentiousness, a structural absurdity, to put a Gothic-style window in such a flimsy frame house".

Once they get back they find Bad Dog and company and they try to kill them but luckily Granny Dibble saves them.

Arguably the finest moment of his career was saving a Nigel Winterburn penalty in the 1988 League Cup Final at Wembley, as Luton beat Arsenal 3–2 to win their first major trophy. A feared crime boss alligator, Mr. Big has his hands in every criminal activity and takes a 99% fee from every criminal operating on his turf. Dibble has been trying for a long time to apprehend him, and when Top Cat and Benny steal Mr. Big's diamonds, they end up as important witnesses in the case - prompting Mr. Big to offer $50.000 reward for Top Cat (and 95 cents for Benny) -resulting in a huge manhunt. In the end, Top Cat uses a similar strategy by luring the people on the manhunt into Mr. Big's lair and offering $50.001 for HIS capture. He is voiced by Darin De Paul.

The exact circumstances under which this sonata, which only survives in the form of a copy made for the Royal College of Music (RCM), was written is unknown. Grant Wood, who observed the house only twice in his lifetime, made only an initial sketch of the house—he completed American Gothic at his studio in Cedar Rapids. First owned by Eldon resident Charles Dibble after its construction in 1881 and 1882, the home was (with one 1897 exception) a private residence until the late twentieth century. After a thirty-year preservation effort culminated with the donation of the house in 1991 to the State Historical Society of Iowa, the site now includes the original house in its 1930 form and a visitors center. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Mayor William Taupier presenting Mary E. Preiss a certificate of commendation for her work in getting Wistariahurst on the National Register of Historic Places Taupier realized that he would be unable to do many of the things he wanted to do as an alderman so he decided to run for mayor in 1967. He defeated incumbent Daniel Dibble by approximately 600 votes. Among his most enduring accomplishments was the creation of the Friends of Holyoke Community College in the wake of a massive fire that nearly forced the college to permanently close. That organization subsequently became the Holyoke Community College Foundation which manages its endowment and donor-funded scholarships today.

Red Hill was chosen as the site for a new tower (supposedly after political pressure forced the state to reconsider Sullivan County's Denman Mountain to the south), and early in 1920 a forest ranger brought the disassembled tower up to the summit via horse-drawn wagon.This was more possible at that time than it would seem now since most of the mountain's slopes had been cleared for farming up to an elevation of . Originally from rural Queensland, Hitchener began his media career in 1965 at the Brisbane radio station 4BH where he wrote, edited and presented news bulletins. Hitchener then moved on to ABC Brisbane where he undertook roles as a television news and radio presenter. Warren Ridge () is a SW-NE ridge 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) long on the north slope of Kyle Hills, Ross Island. The ridge rises to c.1100 m at the southwest end and culminates in Dibble Peak, 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) north of Ainley Peak. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (2000) after Stephen G. Warren, Department of Atmospheric Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle, who worked several summer seasons with United States Antarctic Program (USAP) and ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) from 1985; investigated climate processes on the Antarctic plateau in four deployments to South Pole Station, including the full year of 1992 as station science leader.

The Tuskegee Syphilis Study was an experiment conducted throughout a period of forty years, from 1932 to 1972, in which doctors observed the progression or the natural course of untreated syphilis in 600 African American men. The study was initiated by the U.S. Public Health Service and the subjects did not know that they were a part of the experiment and that they were not being treated. Dr. Dibble was head of the John Andrew Hospital at the Tuskegee Institute and spearheaded the Tuskegee study in 1932. The study was held at the Tuskegee Institute due to Dibble's persuasion of Dr. Robert Moon, the president of the institute, to hold the experiments at his hospital.

As the Tuskegee Syphilis Study raised a host of issues about racism, Dibble's participation and encouragement of the study has been highly controversial, especially from his standing as a Black physician. The very premise of the study was based on the assumption that African Americans would not seek treatment for syphilis and that the disease affected them differently than other races. Another source of controversy arises from the degree of black cooperation in the study, which to this day, remains unclear. Although Dibble understood the nature of the experiment and supported it, there is evidence that some blacks who assisted in the study were not aware of the true nature of the experiment.

At some time prior to 1800, there was a malt house on George Griffin’s farm near a small tributary of the Eightmile River called Malt House Brook. The malt house was abandoned prior to 1814, but during the period of its operation Griffin grew hops in a small clearing—the "hopyard"—beside the road running through the area now called Devil's Hopyard. 100px There are a number of theories as to why the area was named “Devil's” Hopyard, ranging from a landowner named Dibble to supernatural explanations for the naturally occurring potholes near the falls. The movie opens on what appears to be another average day in Hoagie's Alley (which, for the purposes of this story, has apparently been relocated closer to Beverly Hills) for Top Cat and his gang, who are today posing as Boy Scouts, out doing good deeds in the hopes of getting rewards. During the course of this, Benny the Ball saves the life of a bag lady. Unbeknownst to Benny, it is revealed afterwards that she is actually a rich woman named Gertrude Vandergelt, who plans to leave her fortune to her missing niece, Amy. Meanwhile, Officer Dibble arrives to put an end to T.C.'s shenanigans after an unsuccessful attempt by Brain to wash his police car's windshield.

Thanks to a tip-off from Dibble, T.C. finds out that Benny has been taken to the pound, so they take the limousine there and break Benny out. Just as they escape, though, the dogcatcher takes off after them in hot pursuit. As it turns out, the missing Amy (whose character is a parody of Little Orphan Annie) has been working at a car wash as part of Snerdly's evil plot. While on the run from the dogcatcher, T.C. and the gang turn up in the car wash and recognize Amy from a portrait hanging in the mansion, so they decide to bring her back to the mansion so that the inheritance can be rightfully given to her.

On November 8, 1838, Holland Lodge, Temple Lodge, and the Grand Lodge of Texas (all previously meeting in the crowded Senate Chamber) secured lodge rooms in the upstairs apartments of Kesler's Arcade at 910 Congress Avenue. After a dispute over the rent, the bodies were barred from the building in September 1839 and could not resume labor until February 1840, when they met once again in the Senate Chamber. On June 10, 1840, Holland Lodge agreed to a six-month contract for rooms in the CC Dibble Building at 201 Main Street. During this time, officers of the lodge made a new contract with the heirs of Mr. Kesler and returned to the arcade apartments between February 1841 and January 1847.

Ka Baibala Hemolele (the Holy Bible), the Hawaiian language Bible (as re-published in 2018) A Hawaiian language translation was completed by New England Christian missionaries including Reverends Hiram Bingham, Asa Thurston, Lorrin Andrews, and Sheldon Dibble from 1800-1850. The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were translated in 1828. The rest of the New Testament was translated in 1832, the Old Testament was translated in 1839, and the translation was revised in 1868. As recent research indicated, 25% of this version of the Bible was translated by Thurston, 20% by Bingham (who also did the coordination), 14% by Artemas Bishop (who later became a prominent missionary to Honolulu and was responsible for the first revision), and the rest by others.

Sealey joined Coventry City as an apprentice in 1976 and made his debut as a 19-year-old on 11 April 1977, in a 1–1 draw at Queens Park Rangers. He spent the next five seasons at the West Midlands club before joining Luton Town in 1983 for £100,000. He was a regular in the team for much of his time at Kenilworth Road, but he missed their 1988 League Cup triumph due to injury, his place being taken by Andy Dibble. A year later, Luton reached the final again and he was able to keep goal this time in a 3–1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in which Sealey had a poor game, including fouling Steve Hodge to concede a penalty (converted by Nigel Clough).

The memorial was established to commemorate "the enduring bond between New Zealand and the United Kingdom", and the lives lost by the two countries during the two World Wars. Dibble said: Thousands of soldiers from New Zealand served with the British Army in South Africa during the Boer War, at Gallipoli and on the Western Front during the First World War, and the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force served in England, the Middle East and Italy in the Second World War. Hundreds of New Zealanders also served in the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force, and Royal Navy, including the battlecruiser HMS New Zealand and the light cruiser HMS Achilles. Prominent wartime commanders with connections to New Zealand included Bernard Freyberg and Keith Park.

Ranching served as the early economic staple, soon followed by farming. In 1902 J. T. Payne platted the townsite, which the Department of Interior approved in November of that year, withholding the land from the Chickasaw allotment process. In 1906, after the Oklahoma Central Railway failed to build through the town, placing its tracks eight miles north at Blanchard, the town lost many of its burgeoning businesses. In 1911 Polk's Oklahoma Gazetteer estimated a Dibble population of 150 and listed two general stores, a confectioner, a blacksmith, a doctor, and a drugstore. In 1918 the population dropped to 125, but the town had added a gristmill, a cotton gin, and a feed store, reflecting the emphasis on farming. In 1926 the post office discontinued.

The society attracted further attention by premiering works by Cowen, Parry, Mackenzie, Goring Thomas and others. Stanford was also making an impression in his capacity as organist of Trinity, raising musical standards and composing what his biographer Jeremy Dibble calls "some highly distinctive church music" including a Service in B (1879), the anthem "The Lord is my shepherd" (1886) and three Latin motets including Beati quorum via (1888). In the first half of the 1880s, Stanford collaborated with the author Gilbert à Beckett on two operas, Savonarola, and The Canterbury Pilgrims. McEwen's music achieved little public recognition, partly because he rarely sought it. Dibble remarks that he was "seemingly unconcerned about the dissemination of his own works". Despite that, McEwen nevertheless did much to further the cause of other British composers, particularly as a prominent member of the Royal Philharmonic Society in the years between the First and Second World Wars. In recent years Chandos Records has revived many of McEwen's works, issuing three CDs of large-scale pieces including A Solway Symphony, Hills o`Heather for Cello and Orchestra, Where the Wild Thyme Blows, Three Border Ballads, and Hymn on the Morning of Christ's Nativity; three more CDs of McEwen's string quartets; and a single CD of solo piano music.

With exceptions such as Halloween Martin's work in 1929 at WBBM in Chicago, the radio DJ profession in the U.S. was historically male-dominated. However beginning in the Top 40 era, female disc jockeys became more common. Judy Dibble on WDGY in Minneapolis started as "sidekick" to a male DJ in the mid 1960s and later went on to host her own DJ show. Alison Steele began her career at WNEW-FM in the late 1960s. Responding to an ad for female disk jockeys, Steele auditioned with 800 other women and was chosen with three others to launch an "all woman" format. When WNEW abandoned this format in 1967 after an 18‐month trial, Steele was the only one asked to stay on.

They arrive too late, as it is now midnight and Snerdly has just inherited the Vandergelt fortune, but Sid Buckman is then revealed to be Gertrude Vandergelt, alive and in disguise, which means that she, in fact, faked her death as part of a scheme to unmask Snerdly's crookedness. In their attempt to escape, Snerdly (who attempts to disguise himself using the aforementioned bulldog mask) and Rasputin are caught by the dogcatcher. In the end, T.C. and the gang return to their old lifestyle in Hoagie's Alley, and Dibble rejoins the police force. Kitty Glitter reappears, still wanting to be wed to the rich cat she believes T.C. to be, but she dumps him when Brain lets it slip that they're broke.

James Ernest Wharton was born in Binghamton, New York on October 4, 1899Official Congressional Directory to James H. Wharton and Mae Dibble. He attended the public schools of Richmondville and graduated from Richmondville High School. After his high school graduation, Wharton attended Albany Law School. During World War I, Wharton joined the Student Army Training Corps. He enlisted as a private in October 1918, and was discharged in December, following the Armistice of 11 November 1918 that ended the war. Wharton then completed his studies at Albany Law School, from which he graduated in 1919. Wharton worked for Travelers Insurance from 1920 until 1929. He attained admission to the bar in 1923 and commenced a law practice in 1929. A Republican, Wharton was the district attorney of Schoharie County, New York from 1932 until 1941.

The site where the structure sits was originally the Dibble Opera House, constructed in 1886. The Opera House had also housed a roller skating rink in its early days until it was torn down in 1927 with plans to construct a new and modernized theater that would be large enough to accommodate larger crowds for the rise of films, known then as "photo-plays". With the intention of becoming a vaudeville house, the Beacon Theatre was constructed in 1928 as an Art Deco performing arts theater; however, its opening was delayed by six years with the coming of the Great Depression. When the theater opened in 1934, it was advertised as "the most beautiful theater from New York City to Albany" and was repurposed to operate as a movie theater, serving 1,200 people.

He took the lead four fences out but was overtaken approaching the last and finished third, beaten one and a half lengths and two lengths by The Fellow and Docklands Express. Henderson later criticised the way he had prepared the horse, saying that he sent him into the race "undercooked". Remittance Man was reunited with Dunwoody for the Arlington Premier Series Chase Final over two and a half miles at Newbury in February and won by twenty lengths from Captain Dibble, a seven-year-old who won the Scottish Grand National two months later. On 11 March the gelding returned to the Cheltenham Festival and started even money favourite in a six-runner field for the 34th running of Britain's most prestigious two-mile steeplechase, the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

His loan at York was extended for second and third months in February and March 2003 and he finished the spell, in which he performed well, with 17 appearances. His second Sunderland appearance came in a 4–2 home defeat against Huddersfield Town in the League Cup on 23 September 2003 and in a reserve match in January 2004 he was sent off for head butting West Bromwich Albion's Simon Brown. He was signed by Second Division club Wrexham on 15 March 2004 a one-month loan following an injury to Andy Dibble, which was extended until the end of 2003–04 on 16 April. He finished this spell with 11 appearances for Wrexham, as well as playing in the 4–1 victory over Rhyl in the FAW Premier Cup Final.

He joined Stockport County in August 2000, enjoying a successful spell there and being named man of the match in many of the games he played. Dibble signed for Wrexham in May 2002, and despite suffering injury problems in his time in North Wales, he was a major part in Wrexham gaining promotion back to Division Two at the first time of asking in 2002–03. In March 2004 he broke his arm in a 6–1 defeat at Peterborough and missed the remainder of the season, while in September of the following season he was out for three months after severing tendons in his finger. He suffered a further injury later in the season when a torn thigh muscle ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.

Although he is a controversial figure, Dibble is also largely remembered and praised for his work in promoting professional interracial equality within the medical community. His influence in the John A. Andrew Clinical Society was one of his main means of accomplishing this. Through the Society's support of an annual clinic that provided medical assistance to needy patients, African American physicians, who had largely been denied hospital privileges, were provided them a chance to work with other specialists and physicians. The clinic was organized and directed by Dr. John A. Kenney Sr., who was in 1912 surgeon-in- chief of John A. Andrew Memorial Hospital. In the late 1940s, the society began to change its vision to providing courses in medicine and surgery for African Americans in the South.

The college grounds are also home to three major works by renowned New Zealand sculptor Paul Dibble. The first sculpture, commissioned by the College Foundation in 2000, is a representation of the college's dual heritage, bearing engravings of the Celtic cross and per saltire Cross of St. Andrew along with iconic Māori patterns. The second sculpture, commissioned in 2007, depicts a fish set below a bronze replica of the ruins of the medieval Lindisfarne Priory at Holy Isle. The most recent sculpture consists of a seven piece representation of the changing seasons, at the centre of which is a large heart — a reference to the college's motto 'Highways in the Heart' — engraved with the names of artists such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Banksy, and Māori artist Ralph Hotere.

Henry Thomas Segerstrom, OCS Class 109 stands in front of the Segerstrom family ranch on Fairview road in Costa Mesa, California Enlisting in the U.S. Army on June 24, 1942, Henry T. Segerstrom was deployed to the European front as a private in the field artillery, later rising to the rank of captain. In France, he was severely wounded in action during one of the deadliest engagements of the war, the Battle of the Bulge. Facing years of recuperation for shrapnel injuries to his hand, forearm, lower back, and forehead, he returned to California via Dibble General Hospital in Menlo Park. Determined to finish his education at Stanford University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, then enrolled in the Stanford Graduate School of Business, earning his Masters of Business Administration.

Myers began his Major League career with the New York Mets in 1985 under the management of Davey Johnson, and was a member of the Mets 1986 World Series-winning team (although he did not appear on the Mets' postseason roster then, he was given a belated World Series ring nine years later in 1995). Myers became a closer in 1988 as he platooned with Roger McDowell after Jesse Orosco left for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Myers was traded to the Reds in 1990 for closer John Franco, and became one of the league's elite closers and the most successful member of the Nasty Boys trio, which also included Rob Dibble and Norm Charlton, while being selected as an All-Star in 1990. In 1990 Myers won his second World Series ring as the Reds swept the Oakland Athletics.

The first mention of the composition is in a letter dating from Autumn of 1877 to Parrys then teacher Edward Dannreuther where he referred to the work as "..an experiment...". Parry showed the incomplete composition to Dannreuther on the 21st of December 1877, but did not complete the work until the 31st of December 1877. Dibble notes that Parry continued to work on the Nonet into February 1878, and suggests that the composer may have considered having members of the Crystal Palace Orchestra perform it. The reasons for the lack of performance during the composers lifetime and the decision not to publish are unclear, but may be related to the fact that the experimental nature of the work, conceived as a test of the composers ability to score for wind instruments, or the composer may have simply been dissatisfied with the work.

In reference to this character, "Dibble" has been adopted as an English-language derogatory Manchester slang term for police officers. He is voiced by Allen Jenkins in the TV series, John Stephenson in Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Top Cat and the Beverly Hills Cats, and Frank Welker in a 2016 Halifax commercial. In the film, where he is voiced by Bill Lobley, his lifelong dream is to become the chief of police, and it is revealed that he works overtime at his police work to impress the current chief, who is due to retire. The movie gives various personal details about him, including that his birth date is December 18 (coinciding with that of Lou Strickland), his favorite food is tuna sandwiches, he enjoys fly-fishing, and he keeps a "lucky penny" (which is actually a nickel) in his shoe.

As a first time music producer Bishop (along with Scott Dibble), released "Begin Again" with two parts: Part One as a voice production with acoustic guitar and Part Two with an array of special guests that included Amin Bhatia, Blair Packham, Simon Law (Soul II Soul) and Will Ackerman. The resulting album is titled "Twenty Four is Twelve Twice or Twenty Four for Short". In 2017 Bishop assembled a vocal orchestra she called The Spirit of Adventure and recorded a live concert album called "Together Tonight" and in 2019 she discovered and released a bootleg recording from 1992 at The Cabana Room in Toronto. As a screenwriter Bishop (along with Blair Packham, David Mackenzie and Brigitte Gall) penned the Fringe Festival one- woman play Joan of Montreal, which became Brigitte Gall's Joan of Montreal for The Comedy Network.

When the bridge was closed for emergency repairs, the same trip was 43 minutes when re- routed North to the nearest bridge, or 1 hour and 4 minutes when re-routed Southeast to the nearest bridge. The 1938 construction of this bridge enabled communities from West and Southwest (Byars, Cole, Dibble, Paoli, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Rosedale, and Wayne) side of the river to reach the communities on the East side of the river (Lexington, Slaughterville, and Wanette). Traffic using the bridge allows trade and commerce to freely flow in this retail trade area of southern McClain County, southern Cleveland County, Southern Pottawatomie County, and northern area of Garvin County, and eastern portion of Grady county. The 2019 rebuilt bridge features the same design elements with concrete post and wrought iron railings, turn lane and protected pedestrian/bike path.

Interest in building a town at the intersection of present-day US 178 (Charleston Highway) and S.C. 210 (Branchville-Providence Roads) was evidenced in the acquisition of substantial properties of the Reddick A. Bowman estate by one Samuel W. Dibble, Sr. of Orangeburg, SC in 1887. The Smoak Tramway, a six-mile logging railroad extending from Branchville toward north Four Holes Swamp which was chartered in 1884, was also targeted for acquisition by Dibble's associate, Thomas M. Raysor, who operated the Raysor Mill near Stokes. These actions, aimed at developing and exploiting the agricultural and lumbering potential of an area that had remained rather dormant since the American Civil War, were taking place in the late 1880s. These represented the prelude to the chartering of the future Town of Bowman and the transportation and land development organizations and operations which preceded its chartering.

The academic Jeremy Dibble (in his biography of the composer John Stainer, a friend of Müller) has written that the election "amply foreshadowed the ensuing battle between contemporary sacred and secular forces in the university, the anachronism of Oxford's systems of academic election and the burning need for reform". The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1877 continued a process of change imposed by Parliament that had begun in the middle of the 19th century, and empowered a group of commissioners to lay down new statutes for the university and its colleges. The commissioners' powers included the ability to rewrite trusts and directions attached to gifts that were 50 years old or more. The statutes governing the Boden chair were revised by the commissioners in 1882; Joseph Boden's original proselytising purpose was no longer mentioned, nor was the professor to be chosen by Convocation.

Stanford may have composed the three motets at the end of the 19th century, possibly when he was a teacher at the Royal College of Music in London. John Bawden assumes that he wrote the works even earlier, in 1892, when he left his position as the organist of Trinity College, Cambridge, dedicating them to Alan Gray, his successor, and the college choir. Stanford's biographer Jeremy Dibble noted performances of the first motet at the chapel of Trinity College during Evensong on 24 February 1888 and 24 February 1892, and of the last one likely there on 1 February 1890, and therefore deduced that they were written around 1887/88. In a letter dated 18 November 1888, Stanford wrote to the publisher Novello of his interest in setting introits from the Catholic missal, which he felt were "admirably suitable and always lyrical (not didactic) in character".

An England schoolboys international, Rogers began his career at Wrexham, making his professional debut at the end of the 1999–2000 season on 24 April 2000 in a 1–0 win over Colchester United. He remained as backup the following season, making a total of six appearances in all competitions for Wrexham as well as spending two months on loan at Conference National side Rushden & Diamonds, where he made two appearances as cover for the suspended Billy Turley, before taking over as the club's first choice goalkeeper for the majority of the 2001–02 season, which saw him handed a new one-year deal with the club. It is later revealed that Pat has received a telegram from Augie Belfast, a talent scout for the Detroit Tigers, notifying the family that he will be watching the game tonight specifically for Amos. After they return from the game, the crowd awaits Belfast’s arrival and verdict on whether Amos has the skill to be drafted into the Major Leagues at the Beeves’ residence. During this brief interim, David decides to invest in a mink farm at the persuasion of Dan Dibble. Spirits are high within the group initially, but as time passes without any sign of Belfast, Beeves starts to doubt the value of man’s hard work and determination. Dwight studied for two years at Williams College and graduated from Yale in 1821; he taught school for three years. He attended medical classes at Harvard College, but only for a master of science degree, not a Doctor of Medicine. Around 1826 he decided to become a missionary. He attended Auburn Theological Seminary and was ordained at Utica, New York in 1830. On December 3, 1830, he married Charlotte Fowler (1805–1873), the daughter of Deacon Solomon Fowler of North Branford, Connecticut. Only a few weeks later, on December 28, 1830, they sailed on the ship New England from New Bedford, Massachusetts with the Fourth Company of American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Their ship, which also carried Sheldon Dibble, arrived in Hawaii on June 21, 1831. The Baldwins had seven children: David Dwight Baldwin (1831–1912), Abigail Charlette (1833–1913), Charles Fowler (1837–1891), Henry Perrine Baldwin (1842–1911), Emily Sophronia (1844–1891), and Harriet Melinda (1846–1932).

Later that day TC and Benny go into an apartment and try to con more people when they ring the doorbell but the person turns out to be Officer Dibble and he chases them all over the city until he loses them TC and Benny then bump into Bad Dog and company and Bad Dog threatens them to stop playing cons and throw them in a garbage can soon they find out that they work for Mr. Big and TC plans to rob the place by switching the bags that Bad Dog has once they rob the place TC chooses Benny to keep it for him. Later in the night TC and Benny are at the Starlight Club when they get taken to the kitchen and get knocked out. The two suddenly find themselves in Mr. Big's office. Mr. Big then forces them to tell him where his diamonds are and TC suggests that he would show him.

European control over the land grew stronger with the founding of wheat farms. In 18th century Mexico City, wheat was baked into leaved rolls called pan frances or pan espanol, but only two bakers were allowed to bake this style of bread and they worked on consignment to the viceroy and the archbishop. Large ring loaves of choice flour known as pan floreado were available for wealthy "Creoles". Other styles of bread used lower-quality wheat and maize to produce pan comun, pambazo and cemita. Baretta moved to Madison after spending parts of two seasons playing in Canada, winning a Centennial Cup in 1975 with the Spruce Grove Mets. With head coach Bob Johnson away coaching the Olympic Team the Badgers bottomed out, finishing tied for last place in the WCHA bus still manages to make the conference tournament where they were swept out by Michigan State. When Johnson returned for 1976–77 he brought several players with him including Steve Alley and John Taft, seniors who had played on the Olympic team. The infusion of offense allowed Wisconsin to put their worst season in team history (at that point) in the rearview mirror and jump out to a great start to the season. Baretta split time in net with Mike Dibble but it was the sophomore who finished the season with a 21-2 record and a 3.08 GAA, third best in the NCAA and tops in the WCHA.

Two players have shared the award in the same year three times, all in the NL; Rob Dibble and Randy Myers for the 1990 Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Cubs' Jon Lester and Javier Báez in 2016, and Chris Taylor and Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2017.

Stanford composed this work in 1877, shortly after returning to Trinity College, Cambridge, from a period abroad studying composition in Germany. It is one of several works he completed that year, the others being settings of Psalm 46 and Keats poem, "La Belle Dame sans Merci", a now lost Overture for the Three Choirs Festival, and his first piece of chamber music, a cello sonata in A major. The first performance, with the composer at the piano and Ludwig Straus as the violinist, took place on 18 May 1877 at a concert organized by the Cambridge University Musical Society; the work's London premiere with the same performers took place on 6 November. Jeremy Dibble writes that the composer's original plan was to have the composition published in the United Kingdom through Novello & Co., but due to the fact that it was uncommon for British firms to publish chamber music at the time, Stanford instead had to locate a German publisher, eventually setting on the Dresden-based firm of Ries & Erler, who published the work as the composer's Opus 11, with a dedication to Ludwig Straus.

In January 2013, Dibble said Democrats planned to focus early in the session on "kitchen-table issues" of improving the economy and creating jobs and would wait at least a month or two before pressing for the legalization of same-sex marriage. On February 28, 2013, HF 1054, officially titled Marriage between two persons provided for, and exemptions and protections based in religious associations provided for, was introduced in the Minnesota Legislature to legalize same-sex marriage in the state. On March 12, both the Senate and House policy committees passed the same version of the marriage bill, Senate Bill SF925 and House Bill HF1054. Other committees of each chamber reviewed the financial impact of the legislation on 6 and 7 May. On May 9, 2013, the House passed the legislation by a vote of 75-59, with all but two Democrats voting for the bill and all but four Republicans voting against. On May 13, 2013, the Senate passed the bill on a vote of 37-30, with all but three Democrats voting for the bill and all but one Republican voting against.
