Lundager's daughter Hulda was among the casualties of the serious tourist coach accident on the Gillies Range near Gordonvale, Queensland in 1939. Ajar, Eva, Emily, Pitt, Gary, and Pietra drive away in a tourist car. As the van drives off, the fast-talking sandfish appears next to a camel, and tells this random camel (and also the viewers) that Ajar and Eva might go back and live happily ever after at the Oasis and teach the Dusties and Green Snakes to live together as equals, but he claims to have no idea on whether or not this happens.

But Rajah still remained a big name because his songs continued to be popular for many decades and he continued his music by regularly having stage shows in India as well as overseas whilst carrying on his tourist car business. He made a comeback in the 1970s through composers V. Kumar and Sankar Ganesh, and the songs were amongst the hits of the respective years. Composer Sathyam brought him back to sing a duet with P. Suseela for the Telugu film Puttinellu Mettinellu (1973), which was also a hit. But, his return did not last long even though the songs were popular probably for the same reasons as before.

On 19 June 2013, the Hop Chung Tourist Car Company – a long-time transport contractor of ATV – filed a lawsuit asking the High Court to wind up ATV over unpaid bills totalling HK$900,000. ATV executive director James Shing denied the station was experiencing financial problems. In 2014, the court ruled in Tsai's favour that Wang Zheng was responsible for ATV's business failure, and appointed Deloitte to seek a white knight to take over Wong Ben-koon's controlling shares. ATV had also failed to pay wages to its employees; at the end of December 2014, the company said it would shortly pay half the back wages of its staff for the month of September.

Cottin reportedly replied that the government had contributed to this invention - by the very bad quality of the roads. The Sans-Secousse was also very successful outside France. In 1930, the first Saharan Tourist Car Rally was won by four “Sans Secousse” cars that demonstrated a high level of resistance.

One of the oldest television network in Hong Kong, Asia Television suffers the decline since the transfer of several stakes of network to Chinese property businessman Wang Zheng. Since the takeover, Asia Television attempting to convert current channels to news channel network which known as the CNN of Asia by replacing the television drama series to talk show and news program had further contributed to additional decline of viewership of Asia Television. In addition, the news reporting from Asia Television which were inaccurate and biased had led to backlash from both community and the central government, especially the false reporting of the death of Jiang Zemin, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of China on 6 July 2011, and the biased reporting against the group of anti-Moral and National Education students. Asia Television also suffers from financial issues, especially their inability to pay wages to their employees, and unpaid bills to Hop Chung Tourist Car Company, a long-time transport contractor of ATV, which both these incident has led to several lawsuit filed against the broadcast company.
