As the 747 takes off, Layton kills the copilot, and crashes the 747 into the ocean. It sinks to the ocean floor, and a crew member is killed in the chaos, although all of the passengers survive. When the Code: BLUE assembled against them, Lucian was convinced by Schizo and Bristle to retreat, which meant abandoning Pandara. Becoming obsessed with training, Lucian sparred with his brother Pelops, and lost to him time and again which came as no great surprise to Lord Tantalus.
In the alternative reality MC2 universe, Captain America leads the original Avengers on a mission to an alternative reality, which claims the majority of the team. He stays behind to aid the rebels in that reality, thus adding to the list of the dead / missing in action. After Thor regains Mjolnir, Odin has a new weapon created for Jane Foster where her weapon is dubbed Thunderstrike.
