Troup Won his fifth PBA Tour title at the 2020 Mark Roth-Marshall Holman PBA Doubles Championship on February 29. As the #1 seeds for the final round, Troup and partner Jesper Svensson defeated E. J. Tackett and Marshall Kent, 234–205.

The second floor is divided into a number of rooms leased to the Masonic lodge, and has a film projection room that contains projection equipment dating to the 1920s and 1930s. The 2019 U.S. Women's Open was held June 16–23 at Texas Star Lanes in North Las Vegas, Nevada, with the live finals broadcast on CBS Sports Network. The tournament had 108 entries and a total prize fund of $144,200, with a $20,000 top prize. No. 2 seed Danielle McEwan won her fifth PWBA title and second major championship, defeating top qualifier Tannya Roumimper in the final match. A five-person stepladder format was used for the final round.

More formal kick- to-kick can involve multiple players, usually grouped in two bunches at either end for easier return of the ball, resulting in similar informal games, such as forcey backs. This type of play can include some play contesting, many Australian rules fans requiring a stepladder player to emulate the specky or spectacular mark seen on the football field, often also heard crying out famous names of spectacular mark proponents such as Jesaulenko, Ablett or Capper.

Meanwhile, Sarah convinces herself that Martin loves her and that he will leave Sonia to be with her. Martin keeps the truth about Sarah from Sonia but Sarah tells Martin's family she is dating a "certain" married man, and later confesses to Martin's mother, Pauline Fowler (Wendy Richard) that it is Martin. Martin finds the pressure intolerable and reports Sarah to the police, but they do not believe him. While he is out, Pauline "falls" off a stepladder, and Sarah disappears.

A 19-year-old Zoe sets off on a road trip, along with her best friend Sam, Sam’s roommate Spencer, Zoe’s (friend) lover Joel, and Danny who somehow connects his mold to his socks to Sam's childhood home in George, WA. But along the journey things turned from funny to troublesome, with Sam and some unsolved issues between his stepladder, Spencer continuously interning for Zoe while Sam’s childhood best friend Tray, wants to create a difference, between Zoe and Danny.

This was Benoit's first ever title, as well as his first appearance in a telecast. Benoit's opponent for this game was Mark Roth, who finished with a score of 255. Benoit would later be on the other end of a televised 300 game, losing 300–236 to Butch Soper in a stepladder match of the Hilton Hotels Classic in July, 1994. Bob has a brother named Rick who is still involved in the bowling business, working as a tour consultant for Brunswick,BowlingFans.

He has been anachronistically claimed to have been the inventor of the clapperboard. Thring Sr. was also a noted film producer (The Sentimental Bloke), and partner in the nationwide Australian theatre circuit Hoyts. Thring Sr. died in July 1936 at the age of 53, when Frank Jnr was 10 years old. Frank said his earliest memory is of his mother standing on a stepladder in the foyer of the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, and arranging gladioli in the vases attached to the pillars.

The Tigers opened the second round with another loss, this time against UE; this led to the two teams being tied with 3–5 records. The World Bowling Tour, a major professional tour, unites bowlers from selected major professional and amateur organizations through a series of events organized by World Bowling.World Bowling Tour (WBT) The World Bowling Tour's marquee event, the WTBA World Championships, attracts bowlers from over 50 countries. World Bowling Tour events include all the PBA Tour major tournaments. As a stepladder tournament, the season-ending World Bowling Tour Finals features the top three men, and top three women in the World Bowling Tour points standings.

The World Bowling scoring system, described as "current frame scoring," is used during the stepladder finals of the World Bowling Tour Finals. Current frame scoring counts 30 pins for each strike (regardless of previous shot), 10 pins for each spare (bonus pins that are added match the first roll of the next frame), and basic pin count for open frames. The tenth frame follows the same format as the first nine frames. That means no bonus, or fill shots, are given.

The story is about Dr. De Soto, a mouse dentist who lives in a world of anthropomorphic animals. He and his wife, who serves as his assistant, work together to treat patients with as little pain as possible. Dr. De Soto uses different chairs, depending on the size of the animal, or simply has the patient sit on the floor, using a stepladder or with Mrs. De Soto guiding her husband with a system of pulleys for treating extra-large animals.

In July 1972, Kroffat won his first Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship by defeating Tor Kamata. Kroffat and Kamata wrestled several times, and Kroffat designed a new match type for one of the encounters. A bag of money was hung from the ceiling and the two competitors fought to retrieve the bag by climbing a stepladder. The idea caught on, and subsequent matches saw Kroffat's title belt replace the money, with the stipulation that the first wrestler to retrieve the belt would be champion.

She tore her ACL and MCL ligaments and got a big bone bruise during their do-or-die stepladder match with National University on March 7, 2015. She failed to join her team at the Finals to face the Ateneo Lady Eagles for the fourth consecutive time.

At the end of the elimination round, three-time defending champion San Beda finished first with an undefeated season, winning all 18 games. In their final elimination round game, they defeated Lyceum, the last team to win all 18 elimination round games, in 2018. This allowed the Red Lions to advance to the Finals outright, while modifying the usual Final Four format to a stepladder one. The Red Lions, who last finished the elimination round undefeated in 2010, advanced to their 14th consecutive Finals appearance.

All four players would line up on the stairs in the back of the bar in order of their scores after Round Three. The players would now play a head-to-head "stepladder final" playoff to determine the day’s winner. The fourth place player would play the third place player, with the higher scoring player selecting all the half- questions. On February 29, Svensson won his ninth PBA Tour title at the 2020 Roth-Holman Doubles Championship held in Indianapolis with doubles partner Kyle Troup. This was the second doubles title for the Svensson-Troup duo, who previously won the event in 2017. Later that day, Svensson won the 2020 PBA Indianapolis Open. As the #1 seed for the stepladder finals, he defeated Shawn Maldonado in the championship match 245–226 to claim his tenth PBA Tour title, which now makes him title-eligible for the PBA Hall of Hame.

Kent played four further matches on the ground between 1878 and 1890, two in 1878 and one in 1879 before the final match in 1890. Several players were critical of the ground – Francis MacKinnon complained of having to change in an oast house, with access via a stepladder, while William Patterson found "neither the gate nor the accommodation satisfactory". Kent's match with Sussex in 1890 was the final first-class fixture played on the ground. The ground was used for occasional Kent Second XI matches from 1903 to 1914.

The event consisted of a hurdle placed in the middle of an octagon with a white square in the middle, in which was placed an Atlas Stone. The event was conducted in a stepladder format, with the fifth place and fourth place competitors beginning the event. Each competitor took turns lifting the stone from their side of the square and dropping it over the hurdle. The lift had to be started from within the square and each competitor was given ten seconds to lift and drop the stone.

The groups bowled a mixed roundrobin match play session of four matches each, which made up the first two broadcasts. Players were then re-seeded within their groups, based on total pinfall plus a 50 pin bonus for every match win. Group 1 and Group 2 stepladder matches were held next, and were broadcast in the third and fourth weeks. The Group 1 and Group 2 winners then faced off in the fifth and final broadcast in a three-game, total pinfall head-to-head match to determine the PBA Finals champion.

The tournament has also seen a pair of televised 299 games, by Don Johnson (1970) and Mika Koivuniemi (2011). The 2011 event also featured the lowest- ever game bowled in a nationally televised PBA event as well as the largest pin differential in a PBA match, when Koivuniemi defeated Tom Daugherty in the semifinals, 299–100.

On February 17, 2019, Simonsen won his sixth PBA Tour title and second major at the 2019 PBA Players Championship in Columbus, Ohio. As the #2 seed in the stepladder finals, he defeated Kyle Troup in the semi-final match 259–202, then upset #1 seed Jason Belmonte (going for a record 11th major) in the final match 232–212 to claim the title. Simonsen's victory made him the youngest player (22) in PBA history to win two major championships. The previous record holder, Billy Hardwick, won his second major championship at age 23.

O'Neill qualified as the #1 seed for the 2020 PBA Tournament of Champions, but lost the championship match to Kristopher Prather. Six days later, on February 15, O'Neill won his twelfth PBA Tour title and second major at the 2020 PBA Players Championship in Columbus, Ohio. He qualified as the #3 seed for the stepladder finals, beating Kris Prather and Jason Belmonte in matches #2 and #3, and defeating E. J. Tackett in the championship match by one pin, 233–232. Through 2019, O'Neill has recorded 30 perfect 300 games in PBA competition.

On October 26, 2013, Guerrero became the third woman in history to make the TV finals for a standard PBA Tour event. (The PBA Tour was typically known as the "men's" tour, but began allowing female competitors in 2004, after the PWBA folded in 2003.) Johnson won a major title at the 2015 USBC Queens tournament, the opening event of the rebooted PWBA Tour, at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, WI. She entered the May 19 stepladder format finals as the number two seed. After eliminating 2006 Queens champion Shannon Pluhowsky in the semifinals, she then defeated top seed Erin McCarthy in the final match to win the title, the $20,000 top prize and the coveted tiara. It was Johnson's second USBC Queens title and sixth career major championship. Johnson continued her dominance in 2015, winning her fourth U.S. Women's Open on September 6, 2015.

Rettig was allowed to bond with the dog and often groomed the dog at the studio or spent weekends at Weatherwax's home playing with the animal. The bond translated to film, making the boy and dog scenes more believable, but, eventually the dog developed divided loyalties (looking to Rettig for direction rather than Weatherwax) and the trainer was forced to curtail the amount of time boy and dog spent together.Collins 1993, pp.89–91 Typically, there were two dog trainers on the set, each teetering on a stepladder only Lassie could see and waving a chunk of meat at the dog.

On January 26, 2020, Rash won his 15th PBA Tour title at the PBA Oklahoma Open. He qualified as the #5 seed for the stepladder finals and won all four matches to win the title, defeating Packy Hanrahan, Jesper Svensson, Brad Miller, and top seed Ryan Ciminelli. On June 13, 2020, Rash won the PBA Summer Clash, a non-title made-for-TV event held in Jupiter, Florida. Rash outlasted nine other competitors in the one-ball elimination tournament, surviving two sudden-death tie-breakers on his way to defeating Bill O'Neill in the ninth and final round.

The NU Lady Bulldogs won their 96th straight match when they annexed their sixth straight championship on November 23, 2019. The UST Growling Tigresses ended a 13-year finals drought when they defeated the FEU Lady Tamaraws in the second round of the stepladder semifinals on November 16. UST has been eliminated in the semifinals for two years in Seasons 80 and 81, and were defeated in the fourth-seed playoff the previous year. The Tigresses last qualified for the finals in Season 69, under coach Peque Tan and league MVP Marichu Bacaro, when coach Haydee Ong was still handling Ateneo.

Jazreel Tan Shi Hua (born 12 September 1989) is a Singaporean athlete and captain of the National Bowling Team. She has represented at school level Methodist Girls' Secondary, Singapore Sports School, Wichita State University, and Singapore and all National levels including Asian Schools, National Youth and National Team. Tan is Singapore's youngest National Champion that led her to be selected to the National Squad at just age 14. Tan won her first Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour Title in 2014 and reach the Stepladder Finals of the US Women's Open and winning 3rd place in 2015.

Belmonte qualified as the #1 seed for the inaugural PBA Tour Playoffs held in Portland, Maine. He defeated Kyle Troup in the Round of 16 two games to one, but was then eliminated in the Round of 8 by Kris Prather, losing both matches. On 28 April, Belmonte won the 2019 PBA DHC Japan Invitational held in Tokyo. Qualifying as the #3 seed for the stepladder finals, he defeated Chris Barnes, Takuya Miyazawa, and Jakob Butturff en route to his 22nd PBA Tour title, which tied him with Marshall Holman for 11th most career PBA Tour titles.

Barrett finished runner-up at the 2015 Bowlmor AMF U.S. Open, defeating three opponents in the stepladder final before losing to Ryan Ciminelli in the final match, 236–223. In December, 2015, Barrett was the #1 seed for the PBA World Bowling Tour Men's Finals, held in Reno, NV, and defeated Mike Fagan in the final match. The three finalists for this non-title event were chosen and seeded based on a rolling points list of PBA International-World Bowling Tour tournaments held over the previous two years. Barrett made a career-high nine championship round appearances during the 2015 PBA season.

If there are four, they cannot all be pitchers nor all be position players. This limits the cost and competition for expensive players of other nationalities, and is similar to rules in many European sports leagues' roster limits on non-European players. In each of the two Nippon Professional Baseball leagues, teams with the best winning percentage go on to a stepladder-format playoff (3 vs 2, winner vs 1). Occasionally, a team with more total wins has been seeded below a team that had more ties and fewer losses and, therefore, had a better winning percentage.

Mylene Paat debut as a rookie of Adamson Women's Volleyball team on the year 2013-2014 wherein the UAAP Season 76 is being held. It is a good start for her in the UAAP as their team defeated the Lady Tamaraws of the Far Eastern University in the Fourth- seed play-offs. Due to the Lady Spikers of De La Salle University sweeping all the games in the preliminary round, they we're given 1 of the 2 tickets into the finals. It was also decided that the 1 ticket left into the final games will be granted to the team who will win the stepladder round.

Contrary to their original plan, the three made a spontaneous decision to flee that very night. In the stepladder semifinals, his Bombers defeated 4th- placer Mapua Cardinals (9-7), 60-54, before bowing to the defending champions San Sebastian Golden Stags 61-52, as they finished in third place.

The NU Lady Bulldogs won their 64th straight match after clinching their four-peat championship against the UE Lady Warriors on December 3, 2017. NU's Ria Nabalan recorded a triple- double in their second round win over the FEU Lady Tamaraws on October 18, 2017. Nabalan tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Lady Bulldogs to their 56th consecutive win that dates back to Season 77. For the first time in 49 years, the UE Lady Warriors advanced to the Finals after defeating the UST Tigresses in the second round of the Stepladder semifinals to face the undefeated NU Lady Bulldogs.

Originally, the PBA Tour Playoffs was considered a non-title event. However, on December 6, 2019, the PBA announced that Prather would retroactively be awarded a PBA title for his win, giving him his second career Tour title. Kris was a member of the Portland Lumberjacks team, winners of the 2019 PBA League competition. On February 9, 2020, Prather won the PBA Tournament of Champions held in Fairlawn, Ohio. As the #4 seed for the stepladder finals, he won all four matches, defeating four major titleists (Sean Rash, Jason Belmonte, Anthony Simonsen and Bill O'Neill) to capture his third PBA Tour title, first major, and second career $100,000 prize check.

Claudine is Sookie’s “fairy godmother” and twin sister of Claude (they had a triplet named Claudette, but she is mentioned to be dead in Harris's short story Fairy Dust.) She is also Niall Brigant's granddaughter, the niece of Sookie's half-human/half-fae grandfather, Fintan, and cousin to Sookie's father. The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 86 refers to the basketball events of the Philippine National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s 2010-11 season. The San Beda Red Lions won all of their sixteen elimination round games to qualify for the finals outright needing to win twice against their opponent, which has to win thrice. The second-seed and defending champion San Sebastian Stags won the stepladder series against the JRU Heavy Bombers, which had earlier beaten the Mapua Cardinals. The Red Lions completed their 18–0 game sweep of the season when they won against the Stags in double digits to win in the second finals where the finalists were the champions of the two immediate seasons met since 2005.

Whitrope Siding station in 2014 By 2002, the voluntary Waverley Route Heritage Association (WRHA) had obtained a lease from Forest Enterprise and laid a short section of track at Whitrope Siding, south of Hawick. The Association's intention is to create a heritage railway between Whitrope and Riccarton which is generally aimed at the tourist market. A heritage centre and two-coach platform has been constructed on the site of Whitrope Siding, which never previously had a platform, although it was an unofficial stopping place and access was via a stepladder in the guard's brake van. Just north of Whitrope Siding is Whitrope Summit and Whitrope Tunnel; the WRHA has extended its running line for about to the south portal of the tunnel.

The success of such a playoff system convinced the Central League to consider a similar approach. In 2007, a new playoff system, named the "Climax Series", was introduced to both professional leagues in NPB to decide the teams that would compete for the Japan Series.

Both court decisions, that of the Tokyo High Court and the Supreme Court, state that the first 26 detectives had simply overlooked the doorframe, but their reasons for why this happened differ. The Tokyo High Court said that it was because the location was too obvious, while the Supreme Court maintained that short people would have difficulty seeing the top of the doorframe. After University of the East (UE) swept the elimination round in 2007 (the first since UST's sweep in 1993), they were beaten by De La Salle University 2-0 in the finals series after a 21-day layoff. As a result, the league modified the "sweeper clause" by instituting the "bonus rule" - the sweeping team has to be beaten thrice in the finals, while its opponent has to be beaten only twice.

Thus one can consider surgical excision of a tumor as the first-line therapy for a certain type and stage of cancer even though radiotherapy is used before it; the radiotherapy is neoadjuvant (chronologically first but not primary in the sense of the main event). Premedication is conceptually not far from this, but the words are not interchangeable; cytotoxic drugs to put a tumor "on the ropes" before surgery delivers the "knockout punch" are called neoadjuvant chemotherapy, not premedication, whereas things like anesthetics or prophylactic antibiotics before dental surgery are called premedication. Step therapy or stepladder therapy is a specific type of prioritization by lines of therapy. It is controversial in American health care because unlike conventional decision-making about what constitutes first-line, second-line, and third-line therapy, which in the U.S. reflects safety and efficacy first and cost only according to the patient's wishes, step therapy attempts to mix cost containment by someone other than the patient (third-party payers) into the algorithm.

Prior to the introduction of the "Final Four" format, if a team managed to win all of the elimination round games (or at least won both halves of the season), the team were named outright champions. At the introduction of the "Final Four" format the unbeaten team had an outright finals berth with the twice to beat advantage while the remaining three teams played in a single- elimination tournament; in 2008, the unbeaten team still had an outright finals berth but the finals was a best-of-three series. Starting in 2010, the unbeaten team possesses the "thrice to beat" advantage where they only have to win twice while their opponent has to win thrice to win the championship. In 2017, the league reverted back to a rule where an unbeaten team still had outright finals berth but the finals was a best-of-three series and the number 2 team in the stepladder series will not have twice to beat advantage.
