Regardless of what happened with the trade war, Sloven felt covered.

"They believe that eventually it will all come back," Sloven said.

For Sloven - and many others - the urgency level bounced back up.

To speed things up, Sloven introduced the Thai assemblers to his Chinese suppliers.

"The Thai government is making it very easy now to move down there," said Sloven.

"I will be able to make products in Thailand," Sloven said at the end of last summer.

Even as Sloven grew more optimistic, the urgency to leave China seemed to abate as 2019 began.

In early April, Sloven invited Reuters to meet his trade lawyer, Sally Peng of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg.

After a site visit in February, Sloven ordered components for his smart mirror to be shipped to Thailand.

Sloven is now stepping up efforts to trim his exposure to China, diversifying into growing manufacturing centers like Thailand.

But Sloven kept pressing ahead with the Thailand plan, concerned about the toll the trade war was taking in China.

The same day Sloven met his lawyer, his bosses in Florida announced 20193 results that reflected the effects of the trade war.

"I'm going to start moving on a small scale because they're not going to be able to just do it immediately," Sloven said.

Despite the extra costs and time, Sloven thinks he will be able to make the product for the same price as in China without the tariffs.

Nor were some Capstone prototypes that Sloven sees as the future of the company: "smart furniture" like a mirror that doubles as a touchscreen with internet access.

When Larry Sloven heard last year that U.S. tariffs threatened his China electronics business, he knew that setting up shop elsewhere would be a slog rather than an adventure.

In 2012, in Russia, representatives of the Union of Slavic Native Belief Communities, the Circle of Pagan Tradition and the Circle of Veles, signed an "Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Priests" that defined the criteria for the ordination of those wishing to become Slavic priests. On the same occasion, they once again expressed disapproval for some authors and movements, including the large Skhoron ezh Sloven, which is also present in Belarus and Ukraine.

Golyakov claims that the ashes of Bezverkhy are buried at the temple of the organisation in Saint Petersburg. According to Aitamurto (2016), Skhoron ezh Sloven may not be considered as one of the offshoots of the Union of the Veneds, since it is largely based on the family tradition of Golyakov. However, Golyakov may be regarded as a legitimate heir of Bezverkhy for having initiated much of the new generations of Peterburgian Vedists after Bezverkhy's death. In the books of Skhoron ezh Sloven all the gods are considered manifestations of a single God, the pantheistic concept of Vsebog (Всебог, "All-God").

HighTone Records was an American independent record label based in Oakland, California, United States. HighTone specialized in American roots music including, country, rockabilly, western swing, blues and gospel. The label was created by Larry Sloven and Bruce Bromberg in 1983. The label's first release that year was Bad Influence by bluesman Robert Cray.
