Runcorn Ski Centre in Town Park consists of three dry ski slopes: an 85-metre main slope, a 45-metre extended nursery slope and a 25-metre nursery slope. The centre runs both skiing and snowboarding lessons. Runcorn had a professional wrestling school and promotion called the Runcorn Wrestling Academy (RWA) from 2005 until 2020, when it closed following allegations of sexual harassment during the Speaking Out movement.

La Jarjatte is home to a small ski station, consisting of 5 blue pistes, and a small nursery slope for beginners. It is serviced by 5 drag lifts. There is over 400m of tree-lined vertical descent on gentle, north-facing slopes. The resort usually opens just before Christmas, and the season runs right through until the end of March.

The area offers 38 kilometres of pistes in total. The nursery slope beside the bottom station with two „magic carpet“ conveyor belts offers the perfect terrain for learning and practicing basic skiing techniques. The lift facilities are open during the summer months too. Speikboden has a vast network of well-maintained hiking trails as well as two via ferratas (difficulty levels B/C and A).

For skiing Hinterthal has three ski lifts leaving the village, accessing over of skiing, plus its own nursery slope and its own ski school, making it a good place to go for beginners. Hinterthal also has an impressive snow record due to its micro climate and the ski season usually starts in late November and lasts until mid April. Hinterthal is also part of the High King Mountain Ski Area.

The incline varies between 20% at the top and 9% at the bottom. There are two ski lifts in the hall: a button lift with a capacity of 1,600 passengers/hour and a chair lift with a capacity of 3,000 passengers/hour. There is also a Magic carpet (ski lift) for the nursery slope. The interior temperature of the hall, which is open all year round, is kept at a constant .

On 21 May 2012, the former snowflex nursery slope was partially destroyed in a third fire, again started deliberately. On 24 April 2013, the remaining wooden outbuildings of the former Adventure Mountain outdoor playground were set on fire, destroying the only remaining infrastructure on the site. By August 2016 the site had suffered from approximately 50 arson attacks. On 11 April 2017, a further arson attack at the site occurred after two fires were started.

Sheffield Ski Village, November 2008 Sheffield Ski Village was an artificial ski slope complex in the Parkwood Springs area of Sheffield, England which operated from 1988 until it was destroyed by fire in 2012. It was believed to be the largest artificial ski resort in Europe with a sports shop, bar, restaurant and a range of slopes which included a Snowflex nursery slope, a Dendix recreational slope and a freestyle park consisting of a half pipe, hip jump, kicker, a quarter pipe and various grind rails.

Subsequently, it became a dry ski slope with a small nursery slope next to it. Both areas were removed to make way for the Snow Centre which opened in 2009. A Tesco superstore was built in 1994 along with a petrol station, which was later expanded into a Tesco Extra . It was the first to be built with natural light let in. The Jarman Leisure Centre complex opened on 25 August 1995, originally managed by The Rank Organisation until 2007 and currently managed by the Tesco Pension Fund.

An outdoor facility, all runs are made of matting that is suitable for use all year round, and floodlighting allows the slopes to be used in the evenings. A misting system ensures the slopes remain lubricated to increase speed and to create a more realistic surface. It has two main slopes, both of which are accessed from the top of the long tow and chairlift. It also houses a 20m nursery slope next to the café 360, two combined 20m nursery slopes positioned next to a premium tubing set-up which both include magic carpet style uplifts, and also a jump slope.
