Louring is already available on Bandcamp, but on October 28, The Evergreen Spires will give rise to the album's physical form—a limited run of 100 cassettes.

The Albuquerque outfit has just released its debut release, Louring, and in doing so somehow managed to viciously stomp on most of 212's other doom releases, even those from bands decades into illustrious careers.

At first the image appears to be calmly domestic, yet upon closer inspection, hardware seems to be encroaching on the figure in a louring manner, drawing attention to chipped paint and sinister nature of the unkempt home.

The louring, dark-hued splendour of the Cave of Wonders constitutes one of various high points of Bob Crowley's designs, just as Gregg Barnes's costumes indulge baubles and bangles and the kind of sartorial make-over for its leading man that one more traditionally associates in musicals with women.
