Adam is rescued and releases his anti-Imulsion weapon but reveals he infected himself with the Lambent contagion to develop the weapon. The Imulsion countermeasure vaporizes all Lambent, including Adam, and crystallizes the Locust.

Dom suggests they first venture to an abandoned town called Mercy, where they discover that humans are becoming Lambent. During extraction, the Gears are nearly overrun by Locust and Lambent; Dom sacrifices himself to create an explosion that wipes out the hostile forces. Demoralized, they are forced to continue their search for fuel in the city of Char after their truck runs out of fuel. The ruined city is inhabited by several Stranded civilians who are led by Griffin (voiced by Ice-T).

They decide to destroy both the Locust and Lambent forces by detonating a bomb under Jacinto, which will sink the city and flood the Locust tunnels. Marcus and Dom battle their way through the Locust tunnels, while Cole and Baird use a helicopter to transport a bomb into the cavern. A Lambent Brumak destroys the bomb before it can be detonated. Marcus improvises by using a satellite targeting solution to bombard the Brumak with an orbital laser, which causes it to violently explode.

Adam contacts the Gears and reveals he is being held captive atop Azura's main hotel tower. Marcus's group battles through waves of hostiles before finding his father. Adam quickly explains that he has created a device capable of eradicating all Lambent and Locust life forms on Sera. Adam had worked with Myrrah before to try to tune the wave so that only Lambent would be affected, but with the Imulsion, revealed to be a parasitic lifeform, now infecting humans, Adam ran out of time, infuriating Myrrah.

The leader of the COG, Chairman Richard Prescott, is believed to be holding secrets from the population. Prescott abandons the COG, forcing them to disband and live as nomads, surviving against the Lambent and Locust stragglers. Gears of War 3 is set two years after the COG disbanded. Prescott returns to reveal that he kidnapped Marcus Fenix's father during the fall of Ephyra and transported him to a secret island facility known as Azura, and that Adam has created a device known as the Imulsion countermeasure that could neutralize both the Lambent and Locust.

The COG evacuate Jacinto just as the city collapses and drowns a majority of the Locust Horde. The remaining population of the COG rediscover an island base not attacked by the Locust Horde called Vectes, with a town known as Pelruan. The Stranded gangs on the island threaten the safety of the town, but the COG and Stranded cease when the Lambent begin to overrun the island and surrounding ocean. Due to the underground being flooded, the Imulsion from the Hollow was raised into the surface of Sera, causing a pandemic and turning all life into Lambent organisms.

After killing the Riftworm, Delta Squad is ordered to locate the Locust stronghold by accessing intel from a decommissioned COG laboratory called New Hope, which is full of genetically altered humans called Sires, which Marcus believes were experiments that led to the creation of the Locust Horde. Locating the Locust stronghold Nexus under Mount Kadar, the COG discovers during the battle that members of the Locust Horde are mutating from exposure from Imulsion into "Lambent". These abominations have been forcing the Locust to abandon their underground civilization to try to claim the surface world as their new home. Marcus devises a plan to intentionally sink Jacinto and using the surrounding sea water to flood the Locust and Lambent tunnel network.

Marcus fatally stabs Myrrah with Dom's commando knife he got back in Mercy. Shortly afterwards, the machine emits a blue wave of energy that sweeps across Sera, destroying the Locust, Lambent, and the Imulsion. The scene transitions back to Marcus, who is mournfully wondering what humanity has left. He is comforted by Anya, who assures Marcus that the sacrifices of Adam, Dom, and their comrades have guaranteed humanity a future.

They manage to find her, but the Locust imprisonment and torture has left her severely disfigured and traumatized, unable to communicate. Faced with the nigh-vegetative state Maria is in, Dom tearfully chooses to euthanize her. Marcus and Dom then charge into the Locust stronghold. Inside, Delta Squad discovers the Locust Horde is locked in a civil war against the "Lambent", a group of Locust who have been exposed to Imulsion.

He cripples the Locust Horde in Gears of War 2 by flooding their subterranean civilization. In Gears of War 3, Fenix discovers his father is alive and has developed a weapon that will destroy the Locust Horde and a new threat, the Lambent. Adam releases his weapon but dies in the process. Joseph Interpreting Dreams After 1710, Magnasco excelled in producing small, hypochromatic canvases with eerie and gloomy landscapes and ruins, or crowded interiors peopled with small, often lambent and cartoonishly elongated characters. The Lambent then launch a surprise attack on the ship, which leaves Michaelson dead and Prescott mortally wounded. Before dying, Prescott gives Marcus an encryption to the disc that Colonel Hoffman has and reveals that his father, Adam Fenix, is still alive but captive on Azura, a secret COG base.

The design by Prince Dmitry Ukhtomsky faithfully followed that of Catherine I's architects. This was a refined specimen of baroque sensibility, with red-blood walls, snow-white reliefs, golden capitals, and 15 bright paintings representing "Tsardoms of the Russian Empire", coats of arms of Russian provinces, etc. A large portrait of Empress Elizabeth, surrounded by a lambent halo, was replaced with a double-headed eagle for Nicholas I's coronation in 1825. Her courageous efforts made her a crowd favourite during the post World War II era and she had victories over some of the great horses of the time including Shannon, Bernborough, Royal Gem and Russia. She was a bay daughter of Royal Step her dam was the unplaced mare, Lambent (NZ) by Tractor (GB). A half-sister to Flight, Sparkle (NZ) by Colonel Cygnus (GB), won the 1940 Dunedin Cup.

Following the end of the Locust War and Lambent Pandemic, the humans of Sera began to rebuild and started with reorganizing the Coalition of Ordered Governments. Led by First Minister Anya Stroud, wife of Marcus Fenix, the humans begin to rebuild civilization with the assistance of robotic engineers created by Damon Baird. The COG was successful in creating New Ephyra and other walled cities known as Settlements outside of New Ephyra. Following fertility treatment, Anya was able to bear Marcus Fenix's son, James Dominic "JD" Fenix.

Upon further analysis of the disc's content, Marcus learns that Azura is protected by man-made hurricane generators, making the island only accessible by submarine. Marcus and his comrades, joined by old friend Dizzy Wallin, successfully find a submarine but require Imulsion to fuel it.

He stays with Noÿs Lambent, a non-Eternal member of the period's aristocracy, and falls in love with her. However, he discovers that a reality change is due to affect the century and, wishing to preserve Noÿs as she is, he breaks Eternal law and removes her from time, hiding her in the empty sections of Eternity that exist in the Hidden Centuries. Harlan later finds that the kettles will not travel to the time he hid Noÿs due to a mysterious block at the 100,000th century. Jacen is shocked at just how right Vergere is, even after she revealed previously that she was once a member of the previous Jedi Order. But eventually, Jacen comes to accept the Yuuzhan Vong's ways as they give him the late Anakin Solo's lightsaber, which is considered a holy relic to the Vong due to its imbedded lambent crystal. Jedi Knight Ganner Rhysode has spent much time searching the galaxy trying to find Jacen, being one of the few who believe that he is still alive. He comes into contact with Jacen and an entourage of Yuuzhan Vong infiltrators aboard a New Republic refugee ship, and Ganner is captured due to his Jedi nature.

As this happens, he gains Vongsense, similar to how his late brother, Anakin, had sensed them with his lambent- imbedded lightsaber back in Edge of Victory: Conquest. The dhuryam is competing against other dhuryams to become the World Brain of the captured Coruscant, which has been renamed Yuuzhan'tar in honor of the Yuuzhan Vong's dead homeworld. As World Brain, the dhuryam that Jacen is enslaved to will have the responsibility and authority of everything technical on Yuuzhan'tar. Through more help from Vergere, who turns out to be a Force-user herself, Jacen forces the dhuryam to stop enslaving him and think of him as a partner; this way, the dhuryam would be more successful to be in consideration of being the World Brain of Yuuzhan'tar.

In this capacity he spearheaded and structured a program that awarded unrestricted, multi-year grants to individual visual and performing artists in metropolitan New York. For five years under Houston-Jones’ guidance, fellowships of $21.000 were awarded to six artists annually. House of Widows (2008) is a "big novel…about love, war, duty, honor, betrayal, history, and politics," noted Booklist, the journal of the American Library Association, adding that it was "hard to put down and harder to forget," and naming it an "Editor's Choice" for the year. Kirkus Reviews noted that the "hallucinatory tale achieves something of the fierce, distracting power of D.H. Lawrence's nerve-grating masterpiece, Women in Love." Author Jill McCorkle said that Melnyczuk's latest novel, Excerpt from Smedley's Secret Guide to World Literature, "charms the reader and steals the heart" while critic George Scialabba noted that "Jonathan Wainwright is the lambent essence of today's adolescence." The cast aluminium incorporated within the designs often added further depth and dimension. "That's the important thing about them", Roper notes in the documentary Look Stranger, "they are primarily sculpture, so at night when there's no light coming in from outside we have an interesting relief." An example can be seen in Virgin and Child, a window in St Augustine's in Rumney, Cardiff; Peter Leech in The Religious Art of Frank Roper describes the "literally outstanding" metal "delineat[ing] the figure emerging from a profundity of deep blue glass". The sculptural nature of his stained glass can also be seen in his windows depicting the Stations of the Cross at the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Newcastle Emlyn, with Leech observing "the sombre metal silhouetted against the lambent glass".

In Gears of War 2 he is taken prisoner by the Locust Horde but is later rescued by Delta Squad, and provides commentary about Locust culture and society which he observed during his captivity. In Gears of War 3 Baird helps repair the Hammer of Dawn, a solar energy-based superweapon instrumental in fighting the Locust Horde, and succeeds in doing so. In the second half of Act III and in Act IV, his whereabouts with Cole remains unknown till the final act when they both arrive with backup from the UIR in the final battle with the Locust and Lambent. He helps Fenix and the rest of the squad fight off Queen Myrrah to allow Adam Fenix to activate his weapon in order to wipe out the Locust Horde.

Gears of War 4 takes place 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3. Although the use of the Imulsion Countermeasure weapon destroyed all Imulsion on the planet Sera, killing the Locust and the Lambent in the process, the weapon forced humanity to adapt to new ways of survival after knocking out the use of fossil fuels, and bringing across the planet powerful windstorms called "Windflares". To protect the surviving human population from decline, estimated to be hundreds of thousands, the reformed Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) established walled-off cities to protect its citizens from the dangers outside, while declaring martial law to prevent any travel outside the cities. However, some human survivors rejected the viewpoints of the COG and formed a group called the "Outsiders" that live outside of the COG jurisdiction, conducting raids on COG territory to gather resources.

When Trance refuses to go along with the Lambent Kith Nebula's plans (in reality the Abyss' plans) to destroy the Known Worlds in an attempt to destroy the Abyss, Virgil battles and defeats Trance and locks her in Methus-2's Core Chamber and takes her place among the Andromeda crew with the intention of having Trance die when the Vedran Sun consumes the star. However, her act as Trance isn't convincing enough and the crew realize the truth and Dylan and Rhade rescue the real Trance just in time as Beka, Rommie, Harper and Doyle battle General Burma (another Agent of the Abyss) and his men. Virgil taunts Beka as she tries to fight Burma and is shocked by the return of the real Trance. After Burma is killed, Virgil and Trance fight, but Trance is stronger and a furious Virgil tesseracts away.

She has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the prestigious Anonymous Was a Woman Award, New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, Lambent Fellowship, Chase Legacy Award in Film, Artist in Residence for the American Studies Association, CMAS-Benson Latin American Collection Research Fellowship, Queer Artist in Residence at the University of California, Riverside, and the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States (UC MEXUS) Scholar in Residence Fellowship in preparation for a solo exhibition at Vincent Price Art Museum in Los Angeles. She currently serves as Professor and Director of MFA Art Program at the University of Southern California Roski School of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She previously held the position of Associate Professor of New Media and Live Art at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

In 2001, when the company was just 20 people, the board appointed Mr. Peter Harrison as CEO. Vasudev Bhandarkar joined Globallogic as its first Independent Board Member in 2004. The company incubated PineLabs in 2001 and in 2004 hired Lokvir Kapoor to head this subsidiary before spinning it out in 2006 and later selling the business to Sequoia Capital. The company was formerly named Indus Logic and changed its name to GlobalLogic in 2006. GlobalLogic received Series B Venture round funding of $12.5M from Sequoia Capital and New Enterprise Associates in 2006 and acquired Lambent Technologies, an offshore software R&D services firm based in Nagpur, India with specialization in mobile technology. Also in 2006, GlobalLogic acquired Bonus Technology, an offshore software R&D services firm based in New Jersey with operations out of Kyiv, Ukraine and specializing in mobile and telecommunication technologies.

There he meets a regular girl from the 48th century, Noÿs Lambent, who temporarily works for Finge as a secretary (this is extremely surprising for Harlan, since there are no women in Eternity). The love of Eternal and Mortal violates all plans of the Computer Twissell, who planned to close the circle of Time — to send Cooper's student in the 24th century, where he should, under the name of the great scientist Vikkor Mullanson (whom Eternity considered its founder) to open the temporal field and create the first devices that allow one to travel in Time which will create Eternity in the 27th century. This plan matured in Twissell due to the fact that he found in the archives of Eternity the so-called "memoir of Mullanson", where he describes his training in Eternity and sending it to the reality of the 24th century, and mentions the names of Twissel and Harlan. When Computer Finge decides to change the reality of the 48th century, where Noÿs comes from, Harlan asks the familiar Sociologist Voy to compute whether she is in a new reality.
