HA'S CHINESE BAR & EATERY Jennifer Lim and Benjamin Sandler closed the Queens Kickshaw this summer, and in its place, they have installed this vegetarian Chinese restaurant with the chef Eric Simpson in the kitchen.

Celestina, is can be noted, is not an ascetic or a prig; she herself pursues pleasure, but in a moderate way that is in keeping with the mores of her society and class. Aretina is to be faulted, and needs to be reformed, because she goes too far. The play also has a more purely comic third-level plot, involving the character Master Frederick, who descends from scholarship to drunkenness; and it contains the comic features typical of Shirleian comedy, like the clownish suitors Littleworth and Kickshaw (a "kickshaw" is a trinket, a flashy object of little intrinsic value), plus Madame Decoy the bawd, Sir William Scentlove the worthless dandy, and Haircut the barber. Aphra Behn would later borrow plot elements from Shirley's play for her own The Lucky Chance (1686).

Although it is not common, mouth drumming has also been used in traditional band settings. David Worm (who has also performed it for the a cappella group SoVoSo) has often incorporated the technique in his acoustic rock band "Glass house". Kaichiro Kitamura is a Japanese vocal percussionist specializing in this art who has incorporated it in both a cappella and jazz groups. Otha Major is another vocal percussionist and beatboxer, who has often used the technique in rock performances as well as with the a cappella group Kickshaw.

Soon thereafter, Matthew made the decision to leave the group and relocate to southern California. He has since gone on to have a stellar career as a musician and music director for the Walt Disney Company and Disney theme parks around the world. Matthew was replaced by Seattle native Jake Moulton, who had been a member of the local a cappella band Kickshaw. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, m-pact was touring full-time all over North America – in some years performing more than 200 shows per year.

It quickly became very popular, especially for the chocolate eggs with relief scenes dedicated to the victories in the Russo-Turkish war. By the 1820s, a number of magazines and newspapers in Saint Petersburg considered it the best confectioner's shop in the city, described as "temple of kickshaw and prodigality". In 1834, a Chinese cafe (Cafe chinois) was open on the same premises. The place was popular with literati, such as (at different times) Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Taras Shevchenko, Nikolai Chernyshevsky, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Mikhail Petrashevsky, Ivan Panaev, Aleksey Plescheev and others.

She penned the songs "Call Me" and "Paradise" for German pop artist Sarah Connor's Naughty But Nice LP (released under X-cell Records in Berlin). She penned songs for Chris Norman of Smokey, earning a Top Ten in Germany with the winning song from the Comeback Show, "Amazing", co-written with Johan Boback and Joacim Nilsson of Kickshaw. She penned music with the Danish pop singer, Medina, on the titles "Lonely", "The One", "6 A.M", "Selfish", and "Sundown". She is currently still working in the studio with Medina on her upcoming CD in Copenhagen.

He picked up this talent purely by ear, listening to CDs of beatboxing, after he was inspired by Matthew Selby, a former member of the Los Angeles-based a cappella group M-Pact, of which fellow American Idol semi-finalist Rudy Cárdenas was a member. Aside from singing and beatboxing, Lewis plays the guitar, keyboard, drums and has written many songs such as "She Loves the Way", "Emotional Waterfalls", "Dumpty Humpty" and "Jealousy". He describes himself as an improv musician and often uses devices such as loop pedals and the Kaoss Pad to layer beatboxing, instruments, vocals and effects to create a song live on stage. Being a member of the a cappella group Kickshaw for four years after graduating from high school in 1999, Lewis worked with the group on a 10-track album titled Put It in the Microphone, but he quit the group in 2002 to become a solo musician going by the stage name Bshorty, which was basically inspired by the nicknames of the members of 311 and "aggressive inline-skate videos during the 1990s", "doing drum and bass shows, and conscious hip hop shows, singer-songwriter stuff, and electronica and hip hop".
