The two men - the gangster Kecks is trying to swindle (Johnny Shannon) plus his enforcer and torturer The Chiropodist (Peter Vaughan) - continue up to Kecks' flat, where they kill him. As John and Ritchie have a few days to travel, they decide to zig-zag to their destination because they are worried about being pursued by the cockney gangsters and the police. On catching a news bulletin, they are startled to discover that the police are looking for two men in connection with Kecks' murder.

The next stage will be the use of the two Kecks and the Subaru, then the use of Gemini North, the CFHT and UKIRT together, and finally, the use of all telescopes together.

Kecks appears with a number of parcels that they load into the van and take to Kecks's flat. When they arrive, Kecks tells the lads to go on up to his flat while he locks up their van, but while they're not looking he sneakily hides a parcel in the freezer compartment. When the parcels are safely in Kecks's flat he gives the lads £20 and says, “er... and if anything else goes wrong with the van, tough shit!“ and closes the door on them.

Keck & Keck suggested floor to ceiling windows facing the atrium, but Hohf rejected the idea. Wallace, Atkinson & Fitzgerald, frequent collaborators of the Kecks, were tasked with landscape architecture and the Wieboldt Construction Company oversaw construction. The Kecks received a Certificate of Merit in Residential Design by the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for their work on the Hohf House, citing its "simple open plan and the well-zoned arrangement of rooms about the interior court." On December 12, 2008, the house was recognized by the National Park Service with a listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

Ritchie then introduces John to Kecks (Pete Postlethwaite) a British Rail buffet car attendant with high ambitions who sold the van to Ritchie. After a quick drink (and a "French Revolution"), Kecks tells them to “take it to our kid's in the morning and he will fix it free of charge.” He then offers them a bit of paid work moving some gear from his lock up. The following night Ritchie and John arrive outside Kecks's lock up to find a strange noise coming from within. ”What’s he doing in there, drilling for oil?” Ritchie queries.

The habitat is nearly level alkali sink (clay flat). The population is on land owned and protected by the Bureau of Land Management Bakersfield Field Office as Carrizo Plain National Monument. Other smaller populations occur farther north on private land near Kecks Corner in western Kern County. The habitat there is on hill slopes.

Although the Hohfs originally agreed to the Kecks' plan of having no rear porch, they later had one installed in the 1960s. The flat roof is made of pitch topped with gravel. It had a "cooling pool", an experiment in solar technology. It was thought that the water on the roof would decrease heat transmission through reflection and evaporation.

Large Binocular Telescope in Arizona The Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) is a new telescope on Mt. Grahams in Arizona. The LBT consists of 2 huge 8.4 m telescopes on a common mount. With their 110 square meter area, the LBT is the largest telescope in the world on a single mount, only surpassed by the combined VLTs and Kecks.

Singer Felix Maginn played in the band Supersub before forming Moke. Together with Tröckener Kecks guitarist Phil Tilli and Supersub drummer Rob Klerckx they start Moke, and bass player Marcin Felis and keyboard player Eddy Steeneken are added, and the line-up was completed. During the recordings for debut album Shorland they meet British star Paul Weller, who was in Amsterdam for recording his new album at that time. Moke's producer, Joeri Saal, is also the producer of Weller's album As Is Now.

Richie then discovers the plates that Kecks hid in the fridge in their van, and smiles to himself. The last scene occurs months later at the Military Detention Centre in Massachusetts, USA, where John has been detained as a punishment for going AWOL. Having completed his sentence, he leaves the centre and is astonished to find Richie is there to collect him. Richie is resplendent in white, with a cowboy-style hat, fringed leather coat and boots, and driving a very large white American car.

In addition, there is a great number of bands that compose and perform pop and rock songs in the Dutch language. That started in the 1970s with Polle Eduard, Bots and Normaal - which sang in dialect. Late 70s and early 80s there was a big boom of bands that used the Dutch-speaking songs. Well known representatives from that period: Doe Maar, Het Goede Doel, Frank Boeijen Groep and Toontje Lager, and during the late 80s De Dijk, The SceneDutch Wikipedia page and Tröckener Kecks.

In October 2005 Kink FM celebrated its tenth anniversary. The station's 12.5 anniversary was celebrated by organising a radio takeover. Several well-known Dutch artists such as Junkie XL, The Nits, GEM, Voicst and Rick de Leeuw (formerly of Tröckener Kecks) presented an hour- long radio show filled with the music of their choice. Despite the fact that most programs were presented by Dutch diskjockeys (except for Roy Avni (Electronation) an Israeli DJ, Craig Solo (Hip Hop 120 and Traffic Jam) an English DJ, and Little Steven), Kink FM had an international appeal, mainly because of the low percentage of spoken word per hour and its internationally oriented playlist.

The band was formed after the three remaining members of the 'Dillen Experience' Tim Jones, Simon Moss and Simon Dickinson were joined by Ex 'Dillen Experience', 'Rig' and 'Resonance' keyboard player Dave Drennan. They were joined by Simon Maguire (previously in Sale band 'The Sewage') shortly afterwards. They signed to Wobble Records following regular plays of a demo featuring "Moon Llama" to clients and staff at Strawberry Studios where Dave Drennan was employed. Three of the group were called Simon, which led to an array of obligatory pseudonyms, including Vincent Van Void, Sonic Windpipe, Balloon, Doctor Kecks, Bruce Starbuck, The Beast and Jimmy Goggles.

Baroeg also hosts dance nights. A well-known dance event is the monthly Downward Spiral (electronic body music, gothic rock and more). Other dance nights vary from cybergothic to wave to drum and bass. In the past bands such as Tröckener Kecks, Claw Boys Claw, Cradle of Filth and Within Temptation (in 1998) performed at Baroeg though with a capacity of 400 visitors it is not feasible to host such famous bands anymore.
