The Long Beach Marathon is run every year in October throughout the City of Long Beach. The Obernau Reservoir, which holds 15 000 000 m³ of water is the biggest drinking water reservoir in the Siegerland. A track leading all the way round the reservoir invites hikers. Lappin started racing in 2005. At the 2008 Adelaide's City-Bay fun run, he finished first in the wheelchair category with a time of 29:42 minutes. A combination of dehydration, not eating and her vigorous exercise routine cause Josie to collapse and she is taken to hospital. Callum feels guilty and blames himself.

The Pershore Plum Festival is held in August to celebrate the local tradition of growing plums including the local varieties Pershore Purple, Pershore Yellow Egg Plum and Pershore Emblem. The City to Surf is a popular road running event held annually in Perth, Western Australia in which participants race from the city area to City Beach, a distance of approximately . A shorter course is also run in conjunction, and a marathon was held for the first time in the 2009 event. Sixth grader Cameron Sawyer is a member of a gang of "bad boys" who constantly terrorize the other kids at their school. Though Cameron acts tough in front of his friends, he has a crush on Talia Alden, a classmate who has been dating a boy named Jake Magnum since second grade. After being ignored by Talia, Cameron decides to leave his gang and abandon his mullet in pursuit of Talia. The Podgorica Marathon is an annual road running event in Montenegro, which features a full-length (42.195 km) marathon, half marathon as well as a 5km fun run race. A group of enthusiasts came up with a plan to organise a marathon in Podgorica and the first edition took place on 8 October 1994. The 2011 edition of the race featured more than 3000 runners from 33 countries. The running culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still fairly small. Since 2009, the NGO has been organizing three races every year: Run to Europe, Run to the Hills, and The Sarajevo Half Marathon (which includes a 3 km fun run). The race has five categories of competition. Along with the traditional full and half marathon distances, there is also a 10 km open run, 10 km corporate run and 5 km fun run for children. There is an annual program held on the first Tuesday of each August called "Old First Night." The event is the "birthday party" for the institution, marking the anniversary of the opening of the first season in 1874. Several of the Chautauqua facilities will host fundraisers, including the Old First Night Run, a fun run around the grounds, hosted by the Chautauqua Sports Club, a lip-sync contest called Air Band hosted by the Chautauqua Boys' and Girls' Club, and a bake sale hosted by the Chautauqua Children's Club. The heritage-listed Breakfast Creek Hotel is located near the confluence with the Brisbane River and is known for serving XXXX beer exclusively from wooden barrels. Dam tot Damloop (Dam to Dam Run in English) is an annual road running competition held in North Holland in the Netherlands. It is a Silver Label 10-mile race from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The event was first held as a fun run event in 1985 and elite runners were invited the following year, with world record holder Fernando Mamede and Dutch record holder Carla Beurskens taking the men's and women's titles. In the first five years of its running, Beurskens became a three-time winner of the race – an achievement since matched by Heléna Barócsi, Hellen Kimaiyo, Tegla Loroupe and Lornah Kiplagat.

Moseley Square is a public square in the City of Holdfast Bay at Glenelg, and was named for Henry J. Moseley, the builder and first publican of the Pier Hotel, Glenelg. Located between Jetty Road and Glenelg Beach, the Square is the location of the Glenelg Town Hall, Glenelg Jetty, the Stamford Grand Hotel and various fast-food outlets. It is the terminus of the Glenelg tram line (for many years the only tram line in Adelaide) from Adelaide. Founded in 2016 and named after the near-invincible battle formation from Indian mythology (Chakravyuha), the Chakravyuh Challenge is the first obstacle course race to be hosted in the state of Kerala in India. The competition tests the participants' agility, bravery and problem solving capability by pitting them against obstacles involving slush, water, ropes, inclined slopes, team building exercises, fun mazes and more. The race is open to both men and women and held in three variations - Individual Competitive Category, Team Challenge and Fun Run. With separate cash prizes awarded to the male and female winners of the first two categories.

The Raspberry Festival is held annually during the third weekend in July. The festival includes a basketball tournament, a car show, a fun run, a rock climbing wall, tours of raspberry fields and wineries, and a day-long ice cream social. Bear Lake has become famous for the surrounding valley's crops of raspberries and for the annual Raspberry Days festival held in Garden City to celebrate the harvest of raspberries, generally during the first week of August. This event is said to bring thousands of people from all over the world and features rodeos, parades, fireworks, dances, a craft fair, "Miss Berry Princess contest", raspberry recipe cookoff, a talent show, fun run and concerts. A majority of the original Bear Lake Raspberry plants were infected with a virus during 2001, with fewer than five acres surviving. This epidemic resulted in most of the large berry business in Garden City being wiped out.

The Great Train Race (GTR) is an annual fun run from Belgrave to Emerald Lake in which participants attempt to beat Puffing Billy to the finish line and is organised by volunteers of the Puffing Billy Preservation Society. The route from Belgrave to Emerald Lake which participants run is 13.2 km long, and in 2006 had 2,403 participants in the 25th Great Train Race. Participants of the GTR may win prizes; The first Male and Female runners of the 2007 GTR held on 6 May received a return flight to Antarctica as well as a unique Great Train Race trophy. The Perkins Great Eastern Run is a running event that takes place every year in Peterborough, United Kingdom, generally in mid-October. In 2012 the Perkins Great Eastern Run, took place on 14 October and was one of only five runbritain Grand Prix races as well as being a UK Championship race. In 2013 the Perkins Great Eastern Run, which took place on 13 October, reached a record number entries, which was beaten in 2016 when 4262 runners ran the half-marathon and 1257 people took part in the Anna’s Hope Fun Run. Organisers reported that at one stage during the event more than 10,000 people were in the crowds on The Embankment as runners crossed the finish line. In 2017, numbers declined very slightly with 4193 finishers in the half-marathon.

North Carolina Potato Festival is an annual tradition in Northeastern North Carolina that celebrates one of the region's most important crops. The Bay Run, Haberfield Sunset on Iron Cove The Bay Run is a 7 kilometre-long pedestrian and cycling circuit around Iron Cove in the suburbs of and in the inner-west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Santa Fun Run in late 2007 showed what could be achieved by the Trust, as hundreds of Santas ran through Boston town centre to raise money for the Supporters' Trust and other charities. In 2008 the club’s Chairman set the Trust a target at an open meeting. It was to raise the sum of £50,000 for the club. In return, the Trust would receive every Supporters’ Trust’s dream, shares in the club and a seat on the board. This was an enormous boost to the BUFCST’s aspirations of one day owning the club, and thereby granting fans ultimate control - as well as the everlasting assurance of the club‘s future.

The full day of running culminates with the men's and women's Skechers Performance Elite Invitationals, both of which feature professional fields competing for a substantial cash purse. In addition to the 5k races, there is a dedicated event for kids-only, the Junior Carlsbad, with distances ranging from a one mile fun run down to a diaper dash. The weekend also includes a free health and wellness expo, elite athlete Q&A;, and post-race Pizza Port beer garden. The dressing room were officially opened by GAA president Christy Cooney and blessed by Father Eugene McCarthy on 9 May which was also Lá na gClub. On the week of La na gClub the club held a week- long mini leagues series for all ages in both Hunters Run and Hazelbury Park pitches with the finals on the Sunday in Hazelbury Park. An adult blitz was also held on the Saturday in Hazelbury park with the final on the Sunday. On the Sunday itself there was also a puck fada and cic fada competition, a bonny baby competition, penalty competition, a fun run event and tug of war.

Marathon competitions included 4 distanced: marathon (participation fee 200 MDL), half-marathon, 10 km (participation fee 100 MDL each) and 3 km (so-called Fun Run, free of charge). SA Athletics Stadium is owned and operated by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, an agency of the Government of South Australia. Opened on Australia Day, 1998, it replaced the Olympic Sports FieldKensington Oval at Austadiums in Kensington as Adelaide's premier athletics venue, and has seating for 1,200 and a maximum capacity of 6,000. The stadium is located on the edge of the CBD, in the Adelaide Parklands adjacent to Priceline Stadium, Adelaide's largest netball complex. The Stadium is home to Athletics South Australia, the South Australia Athletics League, City Bay Fun Run, the South Australian Little Athletics Association, and is regularly used by schools for sporting carnivals.

The Harz Run () is a fun run and walking event in the Harz mountains of Germany that has been organised since the 1970s by the Wernigerode Skiing Club (Skiklub Wernigerode 1911) and takes place on the last Saturday of April. The main run is an ultra marathon which is long and crosses the Harz between Wernigerode and Nordhausen in a north-south direction. There is also a 25 km route from Wernigerode to Benneckenstein and a 28 km course from Benneckenstein to Nordhausen. From its start on the edge of the town of Wernigerode it initially climbs the Hilmersberg and then continues to the Zillierbach Reservoir.

There is a public house in the village, though both the post office and the former village school have now closed. The village still brings in visitors with events such as the Trap Show, held on the last Saturday in July, at which there are competitions such as largest vegetable and prize animals and the annual Trap Fun Run, the 25th staging of which took place in May 2012. Trap Community Association purchased and refurbished the old school building and it was opened by Lord Dynevor on 29 September 2012local press announcement as a community centre for residents and visitors. This time around Support Troop worked on the building of Kanjoo School. Armoured Troop built a Non-Equipment Bridge for easier access to the school. After some Adventure Training, the Squadron held a fun run, charity auction and other fund raising events to enable the school to buy new desks and books. 32 personnel from the Squadron deployed on Op TELIC 1 with 28 and 32 Engineer Regiments whilst the rest of the Squadron took to the Green Goddesses deploying on Op FRESCO to cover the fireman's strike in the Birmingham area. Elements went to Canada for Ex WARPAINT and Ex MEDMAN 1, with the full Squadron joining them for Ex MEDMAN 2 in June 2003.

He first appears in "Sexual Harassment", where he watches a sexual harassment video sent from corporate, and reappears in "Boys and Girls", when Michael holds a seminar in the Warehouse for all the male staff members. In "Grief Counseling", after Michael holds a funeral for a deceased bird (which, in truth, represents his grief for the recent passing of his former boss, Ed Truck), and the bird's makeshift "coffin" is let afire, Dwight orders Glenn and Phillip to clean up the burned ashes. In the fourth-season premiere, he participates in Michael's Fun Run for Rabies, and appears to have been the second person to cross the finish line.

Bondi Beach is represented in one of the most popular sporting competitions across Australia, the National Rugby League competition, by the local team the Sydney Roosters, officially the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC). Bondi Beach is the end point of the City to Surf Fun Run which is held each year in August. The race attracts over 63,000 entrants who complete the run from the Sydney central business district to Bondi Beach. An obstacle race involving zombie attacks and known as "Run for your Freak'n Life" was held by Spookers on 15 April 2012, in a "Fun Run" in celebration of being open for 6 years, 6 months, and 6 days on that date. The three quantities of 6 (years, months, days) are a reference to 666, the Number of the Beast. Later that year, a billboard for Spookers, advertising the theme park in Parnell, Auckland was reported to the Advertising Standards Authority after complaint that it could be seen by children who were not the target market, but could be frightened by the advertisement.

The Fisher's Ghost Festival is an annual festival held in recognition of Frederick Fisher, an emancipated convict who owned farming land in Campbelltown. Legend has it that Fisher appeared to local man John Farley as a ghost after being murdered by George Worrall, his friend and neighbour, over a land dispute. An annual parade through Campbelltown's main street, Queen Street, is held each November, and a carnival including fairground rides and other entertainment is held at Bradbury oval, a local sports ground. Over a period of two weeks many activities take place, including the Fisher's Ghost Fun Run, the Fisher's Ghost Art Award and the Street Party which was formerly known as the Mardi Gras.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, formerly known as the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, in association with the Thai Red Cross Society has held a charity run for over 20 years in order to raise funds for research projects conducted by the Haematological Cancer Research Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital. The event is in partnership with Minor International and the Embassy of Canada to Thailand. The run is held within the premises of Bangkok's Lumphini Park. The Cancer Care Charity Fun Run of 2014, that was held for the 7th consecutive time in conjunction with sister properties Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, was able to raise THB 3.5 million in donations for the benefit of the Haematological Cancer Research Centre.

In 1989, the Students' Union elected Winston Silcott, one of the Tottenham Three who were originally convicted of the murder of PC Keith Blakelock during the Broadwater Farm riot, as Honorary President as a protest against miscarriages of justice. Silcott was released when the evidence used to convict him was found to be unsafe, but the Students' Unions decision led to national press attention and a large amount of hate mail, including death threats sent to officers that led then General Secretary Amanda Hart to go into hiding. In 2005 the Athletic Union's 'Barrell' event led to students doing a "fun run" down to Kings College and causing £30,000 of damage to the college's buildings. Historically there is a rivalry between the LSE Students' Union and those at Kings College.

Garnica started in athletics after his vision severely deteriorated, and is a T12 long distance track and field events. In 2004, Garnica competed in a Fun Run in Cordoba that was part of the provisional racing calendar. He finished in third. In 2007, he competed in the Cross Christmas of Fatima Race. In 2008, he competed in the Ruta de la Miel Race where he finished ninth overall. Garnica competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympics where he finished sixth in the T12 marathon and had a DNF in the 10,000 meter race. In 2009, Garnica failed to qualify for the European Athletics Championships. That year, he came in second in the Memorial Adolfo Rivera race with a time of 30.55, one second behind winner Joaquín de la Vega de la Coba.

Gosforth is the base for two major athletic events each year, a ten-mile run and associated fun run in June, and a ten-kilometre race on the first Tuesday in September. There is a thriving art scene in the village, and the Gosforth and District Arts Society (GADAS) holds weekly meetings as well as a very popular art exhibition every year, over the August bank holiday in the village hall. On the morning of 2 June 2010, professional rugby league player and farmer Garry Purdham was shot dead at a farm in the Gosforth area. Within hours, police had identified the killer as 52-year-old local taxi driver Derrick Bird, who killed eleven other people in the Cumbria shootings, a rampage in the surrounding area, before taking his own life.

The fourth Chisinau International Marathon was held on September 30, 2018. According to established tradition, both professional sportsmen and beginners who had their first marathon challenge could participate in the event. The event was attended by the representatives of more than 50 countries. By organizers account, more than 2,000 foreign athletes took part in the Chisinau Marathon. This year, 18,000 people attended the Marathon. Participants were offered 5 distances to choose from: marathon (42 km 195 m), half-marathon (21 km 0975 m), 5 km, 10 km and the Fun Run (1.5 km). For the first time in the Chisinau Marathon history, a category for wheelchair athletes was open - “Marathon for All”. Kenyan runner, Benjamin Kiprop Serem, set the track record: he ran 42 km in 2 hours 16 minutes 38 seconds.

Homer is initially happy to get an organized, cheerful new assistant at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, a very tall woman named Roz Davis. However, when he and Barney head out to see a film during their work shift, Roz reveals this to Mr. Burns, who demotes Homer to Roz's job and gives Roz Homer's position. Roz proceeds to charm the regulars at Moe's Tavern while finding dozens of ways to make Homer's job miserable. After Ned Flanders sees Homer is depressed, Homer tells him about Roz, and is shocked to learn that Ned knew Roz back in Ohio; they were part of the same Christian group, and when Ned gave her a congratulatory hug for winning a "no- fun run" he learned that Roz cannot stand any physical contact.

The stated mission of the DDDA was to 'develop the Dublin Docklands into a world-class city quarter paragon of sustainable inner city regeneration – one in which the whole community enjoys the highest standards of access to education, employment, housing and social amenity and which delivers a major contribution to the social and economic prosperity of Dublin and the whole of Ireland'. The Authority was due to work until 2012 on the development of the area and manage the investment of €7bn from both public and private sources. The broad remit of The Authority included social regeneration which in practical terms resulted in the building of over 11,000 new homes. They also managed several events each year including the Docklands Fun Run which started from Grand Canal Dock.

Towards the middle of season 2, Dwight develops a secret relationship with Angela Martin. Pam begins to suspect a relationship between the two, in "E-mail Surveillance", by observing their interactions, suspicions which are strengthened in "The Injury" and "Conflict Resolution", and confirmed by "Traveling Salesmen", during which Angela confides in Pam about her relationship, using code names. In "Michael's Birthday", Ryan discovers the relationship between the two when he overhears a coded conversation between them in the kitchen, while in "The Negotiation" Jim discovers the relationship while coming out of the office bathroom after quitting time, to find Dwight and Angela kissing (he then tells the documentary crew that, with his silence, the debt he feels to Dwight is repaid). In the episode "Fun Run", Angela asks Dwight to care for her sick cat, Sprinkles.

Eastbound view from the floating portion of the bridge The new bridge was dedicated on April 2, 2016, in a ceremony presided over by Governor of Washington Jay Inslee and attended by an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people. The ceremony also included a community fun run and walk on the bridge, and a bicycle ride hosted by the Cascade Bicycle Club on the bridge and the Interstate 5 express lanes the following day. As part of the opening ceremonies, the bridge was certified as the world's longest floating bridge by Guinness World Records, at long; the bridge took the record from the previous Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, which is shorter in length. Traffic on the new bridge was shifted over in two stages, beginning with westbound traffic on April 11 and ending with eastbound traffic on April 25.

Attendees at the 2011 Where’s Wally? World Record event in Dublin, Ireland On Thursday 2 April 2009, 1,052 students, alumni, and members of the community at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, America, captured the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Wally. The event raised money for local public schools. On Monday 31 May 2010, Great Yarmouth attempted to break this record, but fell short of 1,052 with only 930 fans. On Sunday 19 June 2011, the previous record was broken when 3,872 people dressed as Wally gathered in Merrion Square, Dublin, Ireland. The Waldo Waldo 5K has tried to break the record in a 5-kilometre fun run to raise money for the Waldo Canyon Fire burn area in Colorado Springs, Colorado, US, every year since the fire in July, 2012.

On Wednesday 15 June 1988 at 8:50, an unmarked blue Ford Transit van carrying six off-duty British soldiers in civilian clothes drove off from a leisure centre carpark in Lisburn. The soldiers had just taken part in the "Lisburn Fun Run", a charity half marathon held in the town. They had left the van unattended in the car park, which was the start and finish point for the run. It was there that an IRA Active Service Unit (ASU), who had been following the van, hid a booby-trap bomb underneath the vehicle.Lisburn (Murder of Soldiers) Hansard parliamentary debate, 16 June 1988 The half marathon and shorter "fun runs" were organised by Lisburn Borough Council, together with the YMCA, to raise funds for the disabled. In 2013, the Legends/Celebrities Softball Game was won by the "home team" National League in six innings with a strong performance by Jennie Finch (Olympian Softball Player) who pitched a complete game for the NL. She was helped offensively from Mike Piazza (New York Mets Legend), Andre Dawson (Legend), and Josh Wege (Wounded Warrior) hitting home runs. Boomer Esiason (NL manager, television personality) and John Franco (NL co-captain, MLB Legend) were the captains of the victorious National League. Felipe Eraso (a top fundraiser for All-Star 5k Fun Run) hit an inside-the-ballpark home run also scoring actor George Lopez, due to a missed diving catch attempt in the outfield and an errant throw to American League catcher Ashanti. Other players for the National League were Alyssa Milano (actress), Kevin James (actor/comedian), and Legends Darryl Strawberry, Ozzie Smith, and Dwight Gooden.

Noko composed and produced the music score for director Darren Cavanagh's feature-length documentary Ex-Dominatrix, for release in December 2017. The movie opened the 2019 London Fetish Film Festival, at which it won Best Feature. In 2017, Noko and Mary Byker started work recording a body of songs that would become the debut Am I Dead Yet? album, which was released on the Wire-Sound label in April 2019 (WIRED#48). A 5-track remix EP, “Never Mind The Bolex…Am I Dead Yet? reimagined on 35mm”(WIRED#49), which featured cinematic dub remixes of some of the album highlights, was released as a download only, free with advance-orders of the album during the crowd-fun run-up to the actual release. Live dates promoting the album saw the live line-up expanded with the addition of Cliff Hewitt from Apollo 440 on drums and Derek ‘Hoodlum Priest’ Thompson on bass guitar.

Cheney Rodeo Days is held the second weekend in July each year and is a major annual event for the community since 1967. The event is put on by the Cheney Rodeo Association, an includes three days of rodeo competition held at the rodeo ground just north of Cheney. Cheney Federal Credit Union sponsors the Happy Hoofers Fun Run in conjunction with Rodeo weekend, and the City of Cheney holds the Cheney Rodeo Days Parade through the main street of downtown along with a street fair. The Cheney Rodeo features over $40,000 in prize money, rodeo stock from the National Finals Rodeo, and is a professional rodeo event that is part of the Columbia River Prorodeo Circuit which is part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, that professional cowboys can use to qualify to join the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo, and potentially further qualify for a chance to compete at the National Finals Rodeo, the rodeo world championships.

The victory was marked by a ceremonial ribbon cutting for the new historic route in Seligman on April 23, 1988. This event was also the beginning of the first annual Route 66 Fun Run, an event where historic cars drive together down Historic Route 66 from Seligman to Kingman. The success of Historic Route 66 made Angel Delgadillo a popular figure among Route 66 enthusiasts around the world. Delgadillo has since been hailed as the "Guardian Angel of Route 66" and "Mayor of the Mother Road", among other nicknames. The longest sections of the designated historic route follow the original US 66 between Topock and Seligman through Oatman and from Flagstaff to Winona. Other smaller sections of Historic Route 66 comprise former US 66 segments that are currently or were once designated as I-40 Business. This is the case in Ash Fork, Williams, Winslow and Holbrook.

Established in 1906, the Athletics Club has a participatory focus and competes in events such as the City-Bay Fun Run. Notable past members include Olympian and eight-time Australian champion David Fitzsimons (Blue recipient 1970), as well as scientist Henry Brose (secretary 1910–11, Blue recipient 1910), former Attorney-General of South Australia Trevor Griffin (Half Blue recipient 1962, Club Letter recipient 1959), former Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia the Honourable Timothy Anderson (Blue recipient 1966), and current Judge of the District Court of South Australia, Peter Brebner (treasurer 1977–80). Since the Club's establishment, forty-seven club members have been awarded a University Blue. In the early 1980s, the Murrell brothers, State triple jump champion, 1984 Rhodes Scholar and medical student George A.C. Murrell as President and 1982 Australian Junior Hammer Throw Champion and State Junior Record Holder and agricultural science student, Thomas A.C. Murrell, as Honorary Secretary switched from the highly successful St Peters College Athletics Club to rebuild the Club. Membership doubled from 27 registered athletes in 1982/83 to 53 in 1983/84, the Club hosted the National Intervarsity Championships in 1983, made the finals in both Men's A and D grades and won the D grade Interclub premiership, the club's first in six years.

In 2012 Rory pulled out 70 km into the bike leg due to hypothermia and in 2013 was a DNS due to a heavy headcold \- Sydney's Curl Curl parkrun, completing the 5k course at least 45 times between 2014 and 2017 (known PB of 23:03 on 12 September 2015) \- Huski Long Course triathlon in Huskisson, completing at least 5 times between 2008 and 2016 (known PB 5:50) \- Nepean Triathlon in Penrith, completing at least 7 times between 2004 and 2016 (known PB 2:10) \- Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon, completing at least 5 times between 2008 and 2014 (known PB 1:44) \- the City To Surf 14 km fun run, completing at least 8 times between 2005 and 2014 (known PB 69:01) \- Canberra Ironman 70.3 completing at least 3 times between 2005 and 2012 (known PB 6:21) He completed one 45 km Six Foot Track marathon in Katoomba NSW in 2007 in 6:52 and one Port Macquarie Ironman in 2009 in 14:08. Rory proudly represented Australia in the World Duathlon Championships in Adelaide.
