Andrews University has been put on the anti LGBT Shame List due to the cupcake controversy which stopped a bake sale of students who wanted to help Project Fierce with the students saying that this is not about theology. Andrews University's response was that while they value LGBT people and recognize that probably 40% of homeless people are LGBT, they oppose perceived LGBT advocacy of same-sex relationships. Aull4One has raised $17,480 for Project Fierce outside of Andrews university campus and has raised money online; LGBT students were divided on the controversy.

Local citizenry immediately responded by forming the Old Blanco County Courthouse Preservation Society to save the building, and by pressing the Blanco City Council to designate an Historical District ordinance to prevent the same fate from happening to other historic structures. The Society's initial effort of a bake sale raised a meager $750.00 to save the courthouse. She gave birth to another son, Stephen, in 1952. In 1957, she first got a hint that her cooking might be popular, when she made some pumpkin cookies and Chinese egg rolls for a bake sale fundraiser at the Buckingham School in Cambridge. She was surprised to hear that her then-unfamiliar Chinese snacks had sold out within an hour, and she was encouraged to make and bring more.

As Cleveland and his friend/co-worker Terry are driving around at work, they have a flashback of their days on the high school’s baseball team where Cleveland, known as "Hot Brown" was the all-star and had his jersey retired after his senior year. After the two go to the mall and beat up a swarm of old ladies (based on the real-life Red Hat Society), they visit the high school only to find out that there is no longer a team because Principal Wally disbanded the team. Principal Wally gives Cleveland a week to raise enough money to re-build the stadium before the baseball season begins. Cleveland holds a bake sale, but does not come anywhere near the $5,000 needed.

Glee club director Will Schuester is informed that the school budget will not cover a handicap- accessible bus to transport the glee club to sectionals, which means that Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) will have to travel separately from the rest of the club. Will encourages the other club members to support Artie, not only by holding a bake sale to raise funds for a handicap bus, but also by spending time in wheelchairs to experience what life is like for him. Meanwhile, Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) is struggling to cover the medical expenses of her pregnancy, and threatens to break up with Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) if he cannot pay her ultrasound bill. Some of CCDD appeared at an interactive roller derby demo in Broadgate, Coventry, on 30 March 2013, where they were invited to participate in a game of human pinball as part of Coventry University’s Design Degree Show 2013. This event marked the first time roller derby had been seen in the city, drawing much interest from within the local community., Coventry Telegraph, 1 April 2013 As part of a grassroots fundraising drive, CCDD hosted a movie night at Taylor John’s House, Coventry, on 24 February 2013. Tickets were advertised via friends and social media in an effort to bring roller derby to a wider audience. The movie night featured the documentary ‘This is Roller Derby’, along with a bake sale. CCDD members provided a talk at ‘Revolt’, a club night at Taylor John’s House, Coventry.

The bullies then return Martin's ant farm, which they had used to blackmail him into working for them, but Martin is devastated to learn one of their ants has joined the bullies' cause. Later, he hangs himself by his underwear on a clothing hook, giving himself a wedgie after putting on his hall monitor sash (as a homage to the suicide in A Few Good Men as well as that of the character Walt Cummings on Season 5 of 24, who is murdered and has his death framed as a hanging). At the bake sale, the bullies start the three-minute timer for the bomb. Bart, still tied up, manages to contact Lisa by his cell phone, telling her to have Skinner dump the hot dog water to short circuit the ventilation fan.

In the end, the kids come up with an ideal anniversary present: a door lock for the bedroom door. However, the lock makes a loud ricochet sound when Phil and Claire use it, thus horrifying the Dunphy brood anew as an indicator of unseen parental sexual intercourse. Jay and Gloria's (Sofía Vergara) vacation to Las Vegas (and a three-tower restaurant wine room) is ruined when a brutally honest e-mail is accidentally sent out by Gloria; Gloria is mad at Claire for being officious regarding an upcoming school bake sale and has Jay type out a very acerbic post which she never intended to forward. When they show up at the Dunphy's to try and retrieve the email, Claire thinks Gloria's references to the letter are actually references to the kids seeing the sex show.

In 1996 Fischer resigned to a bigger label Almo Sounds, recruiting bass player Chris Link, guitarist Tim Bright and a drummer nicknamed Chicken to form a band and to share the effort and workload. In August 1996, they produced an EP, Short Style, composed of five tracks, and on January 28, 1997, Lazlo Bane released their first full- length album, 11 Transistor, featuring Fischer originals as well as their proved to be popular cover of "Overkill". The song was released as a single by Almo Sounds and was accompanied by a music video directed by Mark Miremont (again featuring Colin Hay), which eventually reached MTV2's Top 10 of the Year list for 1997. After the release of the debut album Lazlo Bane went on tour in the US with Los Angeles band Chalk FarM, particularly participating in the WAXY-FM radio's music festival Buzz Bake Sale in November 1997.

As per usual, Kate and Emily are once late again for circle time, much to the dismay of the teacher. Afterwards, Kate meets her good friend, Allison (Christina Hendricks), a single mother working as a lawyer who brings a tub of un-set JELL-O for the bake sale. They later encounter “the Momsters” – Wendy Best (Busy Philipps) and Janine LoPietro (Sarah Shahi), who are the typical fit and highly involved stay-at-home mothers. The foursome have a rather awkward conversation, noting the fact that the 2 groups of women had nothing in common other than the fact that they are mothers of children going to the same school. At work, Kate’s boss, Clark Cooper (Kelsey Grammer) assigns a new project with Jack Abelhammer (Pierce Brosnan) to Kate rather than Bunce (Seth Meyers)– the “DOA” (Designated Office Asshole) who scores more project as he entertains clients with dance shows and drinks unlike Kate.

In 1986, Byrge began appearing alongside longtime co-star Gailard Sartain in a series of "Me and My Brother Bobby" commercials, produced by the Nashville advertising company Carden and Cherry, the same company responsible for the Ernest P. Worrell commercials with Jim Varney. Basic premise was Sartain and Byrge were, "Twin brothers who didn't look anything alike", while the schtick was loud-mouth Chuck (Sartain) would endorse a certain product, and in some cases, would bungle something in the process, while his quiet and collected twin brother Bobby (Byrge) would mostly agree with whatever Chuck's sentiments were with a simple, yet enthusiastic nod. Later in 1988, the actors would reprise their roles in their own recurring sketches on the Saturday morning children's show, Hey Vern, It's Ernest!, where, depending on the episode's specific theme, the brothers would usually get involved with whatever situation that Ernest was involving himself in, such as a bake sale or a talent show, for example.

With Mary Viloria as President, the society's team of executives ran that weekend-long conference with $300 from a bake sale and a $3000 donation by the faculty. That year the society organized the sale of engineering leather jackets, a Movember campaign, a pub night, and the engineering hockey team to go play in the interschool tournament. The society ran a very successful internal engineering competition and was able to send teams to compete provincially, and because the society also joined the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) that year, the teams were also able to compete nationally. In 2008, with the initiatives of the then President of the SA, Amy England, and Janelle MacDougall, an executive for the UOIT EngSoc, the SA formed a structure to support societies. The faculty heads of both FEAS and FESNS, advised representing all students in both faculties under one organization, and thus in 2008 the UOIT Engineering Students’ Society was registered as a society, which represented all students from FEAS and FESNS, under the Student Association.

On August 4, 2009, Transmit Now released their ep, "Test, Test" On May 5, 2009, Transmit Now completed recording for their ep, "Test, Test" On February 17, 2009, Transmit Now was signed with Silent Majority Group.
