Renclusa refuge Today the refuge offers around 110 places and is one of the biggest in the Pyrenees. It is kept from end of June to end of September and is open weekends during the skiing period. It is managed by the Aragonese Mountain Federation (FAM) and the Excursionist Centre of Catalonia (CEC). One can get there from Benasque (about an hour's walk from Besurta car park) and from France, from Bagnères- de-Luchon, by the port de Venasque.

In recent years la Huasteca has seen an increase in accidents involving climbers and campers. Local authorities had associated this with the opening of a Via Ferrata route; this controversial route was built over an old classic route El Infierno y las Espinas, rendering the old route useless as most of the new people climbing the route use the Ferrata and don't have the necessary climbing experience. This route has seen the death of at least one person acting as a guide when he did not have the credentials required, and the rescue of another overweight excursionist who couldn't continue and got stuck in the middle of a Tyrolean traverse of 100 metres. Additionally, the mysterious death of two climbers occurred when they fell while rappelling from a multi-pitch route.

With over 10,000 tourists yearly, it wasn't just a gathering place of convalescents, but also of recreationists and excursionist, with numerous festivities being held in the town. Thermal springs were used to heat the entire town. Due to the ownership dispute, the center was closed in 2006. It was partially owned by the state, that is, by the State retirement fund - PIO Fund, which claimed €14.5 from "Žubor". Serbian policed used the venue in 2003 and 2004, so the Tax Administration claimed further 44 million dinars (over €600,000) of taxes for this period. The court decided in favor of the state in 2012, but the spa remained out of service and deteriorated a lot by 2018. In May 2018, the state tried to sell the complex for €1.89 million, but no one offered to buy it.
