His more unorthodox methods included an instance of climbing to the roof of the studio and dropping lit firecrackers near the unsuspecting band when "we were sort of playing a little sluggishly", as Tim Butler recalled.

The game begins with a choice of difficulty levels: Easy Street, Middle Road and Hard Way. The object of the game is to perfectly deliver papers to subscribers for an entire week and avoid crashing (which counts as one of the player's lives) before the week ends. The game lasts for seven in-game days, Monday through Sunday. Controlling the paperboy with the handlebar controls, the player attempts to deliver newspapers to subscribers.

A book by Tom Prior, They trusted men: The untold story of the Easy Street murders, was published in 1996. In June 2018, Andrew Rule released a podcast on the case called The horror at Easey St. In March 2019, a book by Helen Thomas called Murder on Easey Street: Melbourne's Most Notorious Cold Case () was published. In April-May 2019, Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories ran a 2-part dramatised episode on the case.

The keys to the van were found on the floorboard and the van had been parked for a couple of days. No evidence was found within the van. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office "found no sign of foul play" at the Wildlife on Easy Street sanctuary and visited the Costa Rican town of Bagaces, where Lewis owned a park, as part of their investigation. The investigation in Costa Rica lasted five days.

A short extension slated for completion in Fall 2017 is planned from the west end of the Odabashian bridge to the corner of Easy Street and the highway. In the winter, cross-country skiers and snowshoers also use the trail. The trail connects in the south at the historic Columbia River Bridge, also known as the pipeline bridge, and in the north at the Richard Odabashian Bridge. It passes through Wenatchee Confluence State Park.

Byrne was born in 1945, Melbourne, Australia, to parents Ronald and Irene Izon. She worked as an executive producer for television, with credits including Oz Encounters: UFO's in Australia (1997), Sensing Murder: Easy Street (2003), Loves Me, Loves Me Not (2003), and one episode of Sensing Murder (2004). After the death of her father in 2004, Byrne became very depressed. At the instigation of her daughter Hailey, she read The Science of Getting Rich (1910) by Wallace D. Wattles.

Berman was a novelist and author of two memoirs, along with a 1971 college guidebook, The Underground Guide to the College of Your Choice. Her first memoir, Easy Street, detailed her life as a mobster's daughter. While representing her in the 1970s, the William Morris Agency talked with several Hollywood producers interested in adapting the book into a screenplay. The movie rights were ultimately sold for $350,000, but no film project ever got off the ground.

The two began dating and married shortly after, though Davis would later state that he had married her for her income: "He saw the nice new furniture my money had bought the Davises; he saw the Oldsmobile and knew I had money in the bank. I could be a short cut to easy street." According to Davis, their marriage was not consummated until eight days into their honeymoon. Shortly after her marriage, the Davis Sisters formally disbanded.

Mount Brighton offers 25 Trails and slopes to ride on. The beginner hills, Gopher, Snowshoe, Larkspur, Bunny, Hare, Flatiron are represented as a green circle on the map. The intermediate runs, Easy Street, Chicken Chute, Blue sky, Crosscut, Ryan's Run, Gasoline Alley, Sawtooth Ridge, Sidewinder, Thalakers, Ledges, and Sunrise Bowl are labeled as blue squares on the map. The advanced slopes, Golden Eagle, Osprey, Grand river, Big Risky, and Cheetah are shown as a single black diamond on the map.

Constance B. Kuriyama has identified serious underlying themes in the early comedies, such as greed (The Gold Rush) and loss (The Kid). Chaplin also touched on controversial issues: immigration (The Immigrant, 1917); illegitimacy (The Kid, 1921); and drug use (Easy Street, 1917). He often explored these topics ironically, making comedy out of suffering. Social commentary was a feature of Chaplin's films from early in his career, as he portrayed the underdog in a sympathetic light and highlighted the difficulties of the poor.

He was awarded a United States patent for his color system in 1981, and later received similar patents from the United Kingdom and Canada. Skellings' system of organizing text on a color monitor led to the publication of a color authoring system entitled Electric Poet by International Business Machines Inc. in 1984 and a further product entitled Easy Street by McGraw-Hill. Electric Poet was distributed to English faculty at nine of the state universities in Florida along with an Apple microcomputer.

Richard Burgess was born in London, England, and his family emigrated to Christchurch, New Zealand in 1959. He showed an early interest in music, especially drums, and bought his first drum set at the age of 14. As a drummer, he gained experience in local bands including Fred Henry, Orange, Easy Street, The Lordships and Barry Saunders. Burgess also showed an early interest in recording production, buying a portable Tandberg tape recorder when he was sixteen to make amateur recordings.

The trio of Rundstrom, Eaton and Mardis recorded the album Split Lip Rayfield in 1998; Bloodshot released it that same year. In 1999, Split Lip Rayfield released In the Mud, the first album on which the group was joined by Gottstine and performed as a quartet. This album contained fan favorites such as Gottstine's "3.2 Flu", Rundstrom's "Devil", Mardis' "Hounds" and a cover of the George Jones/Melba Montgomery song "Easy Street". The band followed up the album's release with a nationwide tour.

This turned out to be Brooks's last album, although she remained active in terms of one-off singles. In 1983 she was signed by Backstreet Records, releasing the minor club hit "Get It On And Have A Party". She was featured prominently on the soundtrack to the film Doctor Detroit, including two duets with its star Dan Aykroyd. In 1985 Brooks released "Lifeline Dancing" on the Easy Street label, which was featured in the Emilio Estevez movie That Was Then... This Is Now.

The album Shock Treatment featured the top 40 hit "River's Risin'" and "Easy Street", which also charted. In 1977, Ruff joined Sammy Hagar and performed on the albums Street Machine (1979) and Danger Zone (1979), including the song "Bad Reputation", which is in the film Up the Academy. In his later years, Ruff continued performing music in Reno, Nevada with the Chuck Ruff Group, The Max Volume Band (played drums on the 2007 album Illuminaughty) and his last project, Geezersläw.

Nicol formed the band Nicol & Marsh with his then brother-in- law Peter Marsh in 1974, and it wasn't long before they landed their first major record contract with CBS. Together with Richard James Burgess, the band became Easy Street. They went on to produce a total of four albums on the CBS/Epic and Polydor labels; the last album, titled Nicol and Marsh, being recorded in Los Angeles. Working there prompted Nicol to make his home in the USA, moving there in 1979.

Crazy from the Heat consists of cover versions of songs of a decidedly dissimilar style from Roth's previous work with Van Halen. The song "Easy Street" was originally recorded by The Edgar Winter Group, while "Coconut Grove" was originally recorded by The Lovin' Spoonful. The medley of "Just a Gigolo" and "I Ain't Got Nobody" is based on Louis Prima's 1956 medley combining two pre-World War II songs. This version peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, supported by a well-received music video.

The foundations for Queensrÿche began in the late 1970s. Guitarist Michael Wilton started the band Joker with friends in 1978, and they were joined by guitarist Chris DeGarmo in 1979. In 1980, Wilton met drummer Scott Rockenfield at Easy Street Records in Seattle, and they formed the band Cross+Fire together. They covered songs from popular heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and practiced in the garage of Rockenfield's parents which they called "The Dungeon" and fitted with egg cartons as acoustic cladding.

Still without a singer, Tate was once again enlisted to help, much to the disapproval of his then-current band, Myth. The group recorded the four songs "Queen of the Reich", "Nightrider", "Blinded", and "The Lady Wore Black", the latter of which Tate had written the lyrics for. For an entire year, they brought their demo to various labels and were rejected by all of them. The Mob were ultimately offered a management contract by Kim and Diana Harris, the owners of Easy Street Records.

His best role is probably in Easy Street (1917), in which, as a brutal bully, he bends a cast-iron street lamp standard to a right angle to intimidate the policeman played by Chaplin. Chaplin was then the highest profile film star in the world with many imitators. Campbell also had imitators, including Oliver Hardy who played second banana to Chaplin's impersonator, Billy West. Campbell's fiercely menacing eye make up he perfected when he performed in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado prior to movies.

The single "I've Been Lovin' You" reached No. 81 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 during the first week of August 1976. Easy Street toured in Europe and the US and were the 1976 runners-up of the UK TV show New Faces. The collaboration between Marsh and Nicol ended after the release of the duo's final album, 1978's Nicol & Marsh. An interview with Nicol implied that Marsh was moving in a different direction, specifically appearing to refer to a growing collaboration between Marsh and Burgess.

Lewis and his second wife clashed over how to run Wildlife on Easy Street. He wanted to breed the cats and operate it as a business, while she wanted it to be a charity. According to his second wife, who remarried in 2004 and became known as Carole Baskin, Lewis was obsessed with sex and would frequently fly to Costa Rica to engage in affairs especially when she was menstruating. Lewis told family members and friends that he was planning to eventually move to Costa Rica.

Following the success of the commercial, he spent two years touring Europe making personal appearances to promote the product. In 1997, McKinney moved to New York to pursue artistic representation and auditions. Moving back to Ireland, he also worked on such short films as Phone (1997), The Boogie Man (1999), Area 51 (2002), Easy Street (2003), A Dublin Story (2003), Past Pupil (2005), and Nuts (2007). Feature films include The Crooked Mile (2001), Starfish (2004), King Arthur (2004), and All Is by My Side (2013).

NY 192 began at an intersection with NY 30 in the hamlet of Paul Smiths within the town of Brighton in Franklin County. The highway headed to the northeast, passing Cooler Pond to the south and Church Pond to the north. Just north of Church Pond was Osgood Pond, which was accessible at the first intersection, which was White Pond Road. NY 192 then headed eastward, intersecting with County Route 31 (CR 31, named Jones Pond Road) in the hamlet of Paul Smiths Easy Street.

The trio search the orphans' belongings and Miss Hannigan reveals Annie's real parents died in a fire years ago; therefore she (Hannigan) possesses the other half of the locket ("Easy Street"). Annie's friends overhear the conversation and try to sneak out, but are caught and locked away. Rooster and Lily succeed with the ruse and Annie is kidnapped minutes after leaving the mansion ("Maybe (Reprise"). However, her friends ultimately reach Warbucks and tell him the truth; To his shock, he informs the FBI and the police, who begin a citywide search.

Back at the orphanage, Miss Hannigan's ne'er-do-well brother, Rooster, and his unscrupulous girlfriend, Lily, pay a visit. Miss Hannigan mentions that Annie is staying at a billionaire's house, and they decide they can use this situation to their advantage, though they do not yet know how ("Easy Street"). Warbucks sees a broken locket around Annie's neck, and buys her a new one from Tiffany & Co. He debates with himself on whether he should adopt Annie ("Why Should I Change A Thing?") but decides to go through with it and gives Annie the locket.

Students represent over 40 zip codes in the Bay Area. Graduates of YCIS Silicon Valley go on to attend private, public charter and neighborhood schools including: Harker, Castilleja, Nueva, Keys, Girls’ Middle School, Valley Christian, The King's Academy, Bullis Charter, Summit Denali and more. In 2011, YCIS Silicon Valley expanded to include a new preschool campus on East Middlefield Road, which is close to the Main Campus at Easy Street. In 2014, the addition of portable classrooms at the Main Campus made it possible for the school to add middle school grades.

"Easy Street" was recorded during a December 17, 1974 session for 1975's Back to the Country. Two songs were from sessions for 1976's Somebody Somewhere; "Lullabies to a Memory" and "We've Come a Long Way, Baby", recorded on June 28 and June 29, 1976 , respectively. "Between the Preacher and the Lawyer" was the third song to be released from the September 29, 1976 session. The newest recordings to be featured on the album were "I Can't Feel You Anymore" and "Standing at Our Bedroom Door", both recorded on February 3, 1978.

Covering a total of 8.4 acres, the new Sheppard Yonge development is a mixed-use centre, which includes retail, condo, office, and rental space. The retail phase of the project was completed in 2019, while the Pivot rental tower is due for completion in 2020. Animating the streetscape with diverse retail, the new development is a huge transformation from its 1970 design that did not allow for transparency between the inside and outside. Quadrangle revitalized the outdated mall with easy street-level entrances, wide corridors, large windows, and renovated interiors that emphasize naturally-lit atriums.

Jack Donald Lewis (April 30, 1938 – August 19, 2002) was an American missing person who disappeared on the morning of August 18, 1997, after leaving his home in Tampa, Florida. The investigation into his disappearance has stretched from Lewis's Wildlife on Easy Street sanctuary in Tampa, co-owned by his second wife Carole Baskin, to land owned by Lewis in Costa Rica. No evidence of Lewis being killed has surfaced, but investigators believe it is unlikely that he disappeared on his own. Lewis left behind over $5 million in assets.

Since the release of the series, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has received six tips a day related to Lewis's disappearance. Chronister expressed his belief that a former employee of Wildlife on Easy Street that had a sour relationship with either Lewis or Baskin will step forward with evidence. Chronister reiterated that his department does not "have any type of evidence, not one piece, that suggests that [Lewis] was killed" or that a crime was even committed. He also stated his opinion that Tiger King was spun for entertainment.

Prior to their formation, Badmarsh (whose name means 'rascal' in Hindi) worked at the reggae studio Easy Street; which was hiring PA equipment to a nightclub called Labyrinth. After a visit to Labyrinth, he became interested in DJing, and almost immediately went out to buy DJ turntables and records; he later secured a residency position at the club, where he remained for five years. Shri, on the other hand, had spent five years touring with Nitin Sawhney, who later produced his debut solo album Drum the Bass. The album was well received in Europe.

The Pittsfield Universalist Church is set on the east side of Main Street in the center of Pittsfield, just north of its junction with Easy Street (from which it is accessed by vehicle). It is a 2-1/2 story T-shaped wood frame structure with its main sanctuary oriented east-west. The top of the T, attached to the sanctuary at its eastern end, houses a meeting space, parlor, and vestry. It is the congregation's original 1857 sanctuary, moved and rotated, and extensively altered during the construction of the present sanctuary.

Born in Philadelphia, Tucker started acting at Temple University where he was a student. Tucker also appeared early in his career with Bessie Smith on cross- country tours. From 1926 to 1946, Tucker appeared in 18 of Micheaux's films, including When Men Betray (1928); Wages of Sin (1929); Easy Street (1930); Harlem Big Show, Veiled Aristocrats (1932); Ten Minutes To Live (1932); Harlem After Midnight (1934); Temptation (1935); and Underworld (1937). He became known as the "Black Valentino" because of his good looks and role as the romantic lead in the early black cinema.

In the first years the Brigade was wholly funded by subscription, but met such an important need that from 1895 they were subsidised by the Queensland Government, both directly and by involving the Department of Works in the construction of ambulance buildings. In the late 1890s and 1900s they expanded into regional centres. By 1921, a specific layout for ambulance buildings had been formalised into policy. This incorporated a space for vehicles with easy street access, a casualty room, meeting room and sleeping room for ambulance bearers on a ground floor level and residential quarters for the superintendent above.

In an interview published in Video Games, Uston revealed he got hooked on the games Pong and then Breakout. In 1979 Space Invaders became his video game of choice and, after his blackjack team made $350,000 in Atlantic City, they rented a house in California and bought a Space Invaders machine. The game appealed to him in part because of the trick of counting one's shots to get the maximum number of points for the spaceship at the top of the screen. In 1981, Uston began frequenting the Easy Street Pub near the Playboy Casino in Atlantic City.

Big Cat Rescue Corp., also known as BCR and previously known as Wildlife on Easy Street, Inc., operates an animal sanctuary in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, which rescues and houses exotic cats, and rehabilitates injured or orphaned native wild cats. The animal sanctuary has been open to the public and BCR sells tickets to visitors for tours including private tours, night tours, and feeding tours. However, BCR closed the facility to the public on March 16, 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and Carole Baskin later announced that she was considering not reopening the animal sanctuary to the public.

O'Casey was divorced from Louie Ramsay in 1979, and, after moving to the United States in 1980, he married the writer Carol Tavris. He had roles in many US television shows, including L.A. Law, Easy Street, Falcon Crest and Dallas and Santa Barbara.

Forever Now was reissued in the US and UK in 2002 by Columbia/Legacy. As with the simultaneous reissues of The Psychedelic Furs and Talk Talk Talk, this release used the original UK album cover art (though using the original US release track listing). The CD included six songs previously unavailable on album: "Aeroplane", "Alice's House", "I Don't Want to Be Your Shadow", an alternative version of "Yes I Do" renamed "Mary Go Round", and live versions of "President Gas" and "No Easy Street". Lengthy new liner notes were added by the music journalist Tony Fletcher.

In 1972, Hartman joined the Edgar Winter Group (Edgar Winter was Johnny Winter's younger brother), where he played bass, wrote or co-wrote many of their songs, and sang on three of their albums: They Only Come Out at Night, Shock Treatment, and The Edgar Winter Group with Rick Derringer. He wrote and sang the band's second biggest pop hit, "Free Ride", in 1972. The ballad "Autumn" on Edgar's LP They Only Come Out at Night was a regional radio hit in New England. Hartman also wrote the band's charting singles “Easy Street” and “River’s Risin” from the Shock Treatment album.

Another housing option, near the center section of campus, is Wheeler Hall, a Sophomore Residence Hall. Upperclassmen students can choose, depending on the results of the housing lottery held in the Spring, between the Easy Street residence halls, minus Hanselman, or the upperclass residence halls in the lower portion of campus: Alumni, Carlin, and Loyola. Additionally, seniors have the options of Williams Hall, formerly known as "The Senior Apartments," and Figge Hall, the newest residence hall on campus. Residence hall pride is prominent on campus; various residence halls have created clubs or other forms of co-curricular programs.

Under Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) orders, Daryl (Norman Reedus) is taken to the Saviors' home, the Sanctuary, and locked in a dark cell, to be converted to join the Saviors by Dwight (Austin Amelio). Dwight feeds Daryl only dog food sandwiches and forces him to listen to the song "Easy Street" played through the walls. Dwight shows that if Daryl refuses to join the Saviors, he could end up like other prisoners, who have become walkers wandering in a fenced off area. Daryl attempts an escape one day when he finds his cell unlocked, but this is revealed to be a test by Negan of his loyalty.

According to the sanctuary, this part of its history was a misguided effort to aid captive conservation and animal welfare of privately owned animals. The sanctuary was accredited by The Association of Sanctuaries in 1998, and its successor, the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries since 2007 to present. In September 2000, Wildlife on Easy Street applied to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for accreditation as a Certified Related Facility. The application was denied in March 2001 for various reasons, including concerns about the amount of visitor contact with the cats, lack of any trained zoological professionals on staff, insufficient formal veterinary programs and unfinished perimeter fencing.

The one-way pair rejoins the main route, turning north as Miller Street and then northwest as Wenatchee Avenue into West Wenatchee near Wenatchee Confluence State Park. Wenatchee Avenue crosses the Wenatchee River into Sunnyslope and becomes a freeway, intersecting Penny Road and Easy Street in an incomplete diamond interchange before ending at an interchange with US 2 and US 97. The Senator George Sellar Bridge is the busiest section of SR 285, being used by a daily average of 52,000 vehicles in 2011. The southern end of the one-way pair, at the intersection of Chelan Avenue and Mission Street, had a daily average of 22,000 vehicles in 2011.

She played sultry Edie Hart, a nightclub singer and the romantic interest of Peter Gunn (Craig Stevens). "She was perfect casting for that role because she had an off-the-cuff kind of jazz delivery that was very hard to find," Mancini said in 1992. "Just enough to believe that she’d be singing in that club and that she shouldn’t be on Broadway or doing movies." Over the course of 114 episodes produced for Peter Gunn, Albright sang in 38 of them, covering jazz classics such as "How High the Moon", "A Good Man Is Hard to Find", "Easy Street", and "Day In, Day Out".

Self-burned copies of The Head and the Heart in handmade denim sleeves were being sold at shows within a few weeks, and soon local record stores Easy Street and Sonic Boom couldn't keep them in stock. After a "feeding frenzy" of interest from record labels and managers, the band signed with Sub Pop in November 2010. Sub Pop remastered the album, expanded it with a studio version of their traditional concert closer "Rivers and Roads", and re-recorded one song ("Sounds Like Hallelujah"). The album was re-released in CD format, and for the first time on vinyl LP, on Record Store Day 2011.

NY 86 begins at NY 30 in Paul Smiths, Franklin County. The route heads east through the town of Brighton, providing mountain views of Adirondack Park. After passing through the tiny communities of Easy Street and Gabriels and traversing the southern edge of Paul Smiths College, NY 86 turns south to serve Harrietstown, where it meets NY 186 at the hamlet of the same name. NY 86 continues southward to Saranac Lake, the largest community on NY 86 in Franklin County. Moving through Saranac Lake, the business and tourism anchor for the area, NY 86 is well marked, but follows local roads to an intersection with NY 3 in the village center.

After Myth disbanded, Gray played in several bands, including Fire Choir and Dog Daze (formerly Lyon House), frequently together with his Myth-bandmate Gibson. Several of these bands were managed by Kim Harris, the owner of Easy Street Records, Gray then went into a recording engineering career, working on various albums in the capacity of recording engineer, mixer, and eventually, producer for among others Shadowlife by Dokken, the eponymous debut album of Candlebox, Brother Cane, Sven Gali, Bob Rivers, Nevermore, Second Coming, and Yianni "Johnny" Bacolas. In 1998, Gray rejoined former Myth bandmate Tate when he became a guitarist in Queensrÿche. Gray produced their 1999 album, Q2K, and plays on the 2001 live album and DVD, Live Evolution.

In addition to the live albums Live on Two Legs, Live at Benaroya Hall, Live in NYC 12/31/92, Live at Easy Street, Live at the Gorge 05/06, Live at Lollapalooza 2007, Live on Ten Legs and myriad live versions of studio songs spread across singles as B-sides, the band has released an official bootlegs series of live recordings for each show of each tour since its 2000 European tour, with the exception of the 2004 Vote for Change tour and its 2007 European tour. Tea Cozies released a self-titled EP which received airplay on Seattle radio station KEXP, scored a zombie film, and recorded a six-song Christmas album with a limited release. On May 5, 2009 they released their debut album Hot Probs, produced by Erik BloodBurlingame, Chris - Tea Cozies at Easy Street Records May 15, KEXP Blog (15 May 2009) KEXP of The Turn-Ons. The lead track, "Boys at the Metro", was recorded with Blood, who produced the song using Pro Tools, at The Mysterious X. The song, which was originally supposed to consist entirely of haikus, contains many insults directed at Steven Spielberg, which were influenced by Reed's hatred of Jaws. They have appeared in an episode of $5 Cover.

He asks Bob to visit him and after chiding the young engineer for always playing the game straight, he makes him a proposition which he says will place him on easy street and enable him to buy Jane the fine feathers she should wear. He offers Bob a large sum for accepting an inferior grade of cement for a dam which Bob's company is constructing, and after a struggle with his conscience, the young man accepts. Two years pass and Bob and Jane enjoy the luxuries of the wealth that has come to them. Brand, however dislikes to see the young man enjoy the wealth and he persuades him to gamble in stocks which he manipulates until the young man is wiped out.

Schmidt won the 2006 US Open 9-Ball Championship Championship, with a 11–6 victory in the final over Rodolfo Luat. Schmidt would later become world champion in 2012 at the World Tournament straight pool championship winning 200-169 against Efren Reyes in the final. On May 27, 2019 at Easy Street Billiards in Monterey, California, Schmidt defeated the longstanding 14.1 pool record set by Willie Mosconi in 1954 of 526 with a video-recorded run of 626. Schmidt had made a personal best run of 403 balls in 2007, but in 2018, he began a concerted, dedicated effort to defeat Mosconi's record, shooting six to eight hours a day, filming the sessions for verification. Beginning May 8, 2019, the record was his fourth attempt.

He made his professional West End debut at the Piccadilly Theatre in London in 2017. His roles include Zack Mayo in the 2018 UK tour of An Officer and a Gentleman: The Musical and Rooster Hannigan in the 2017 UK tour of Annie alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Lesley Joseph and Meera Syal. Fines continued playing the character for a further year, with Miranda Hart playing the sister of his character, when the production moved to the West End. Jonny appeared, in character, live on UK television during the BBC's Children in Need event in 2017 performing the song Easy Street from the musical Annie alongside his partner Djalenga Scott who was heavily pregnant at the time with their first child.

Vocally, the pair was an almost perfect blend, and their first single together, a song Jones had released in 1965 called "Take Me", became a top ten hit. The songs on We Go Together are almost all celebrations of new love to the point of giddiness, as Sherrill tried to find songs for them that reflected their new life together. Jones and Wynette composed two of the songs on the album, "It's So Sweet" and "Never Grow Cold", the latter having been recorded by Jones earlier when he was with Musicor. "Livin' On Easy Street" had also been recorded on Musicor as a duet with Melba Montgomery and, years later, Jones would maintain repeatedly that Montgomery fit his style of singing even better than Wynette did.

Easy Street (1917) and The Kid (1921) are examples which depict the social issues of violence as well as poverty within comedy films. Similarly, legendary Mexican comedians such as Cantinflas have used this same approach during the Cine de Oro. When it comes to the quantity of films in comparison to other countries, silent films there are few films that were made and thus fewer that were preserved but some of the most famous ones include El autómovil gris (The gray automobile) (1919), as well as Tepeyac (1917), a film about Juan Diego and the appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Other classics include El tren fantasma (The Ghost Train) (1927) and El puño de hierro (The Iron Fist) (1927) (Urbanora 2010).

Ben Sachs of the Chicago Reader gave the film three out of four stars, praising the "surprising amount of bite: the filmmakers openly acknowledge the similarities between the Great Depression and the present, and the populist message, however overstated, always registers as sincere." Sachs also praised director Will Gluck for "striking a buoyant tone that feels closer to classic Hollywood musicals than contemporary kiddie fare." The soundtrack, rearranged by Sia Furler and Greg Kurstin, received a polarizing response from critics, with much criticism going towards the heavy use of auto-tune. Entertainment Weekly described its soundtrack as an auto- tuned "disaster", noting that "you won't ever hear a worse rendition of 'Easy Street' than the one performed by Diaz and Cannivale — I promise".

A second double chairlift, Brundage Creek, was added in 1976, in parallel with the original Pioneer. The Centennial triple chairlift was added in 1990 to the southern edge of the terrain, which increased the area's terrain by 30% and added of vertical drop by lowering the base. The Easy Street chairlift was installed at the beginner area in 1994, adding a lower parking lot at its base. The parallel double chairlifts were replaced in the summer of 1997 by a single high-speed detachable quad, the Blue Bird Express, which ascended to the summit in a rapid seven minutes. In April 2006, the J.R. Simplot Company sold its 50% interest in Brundage Mountain to the ski area's long-time co-owner, the DeBoer family.

The team to play Leith showed a number of changes including the return of William Thomson at inside left and new boy Lewis Mackie just arrived from Artizan Thistle. In addition old boy Leitch Keir made a guest appearance for the club. At the interval all looked bleak as Leith had built up a 4-1 lead, but the new spirit of the Dumbarton side came through as they scored three times in the second half to earn a replay. On 13 February the replay was held at Beechwood with the Dumbarton team strengthened further with the return of Alex Miller who took Keir’s place and the introduction of Willie Speedie from Artizan Thistle at inside right. A Hendry hat trick had Dumbarton in ‘easy street’ but Leith reduced the leeway before the interval.

During the 60's and 70's Frank was successful in growing the family business into subdivision development which includes neighborhoods of Cherry Hill, Montclair Estates, Maywood and a 20 home subdivision on "Easy Street" in Salem. He also created and built several apartment communities starting with the Carlton Scott complex in Blacksburg, Normany Knoll, Ravenswood and Shenandoah Manor in Roanoke, and The Forest in Lynchburg. The great majority of the homes built in the late 1950s were a single-story Rambler ('Ranch' is preferred in the local vernacular) with three bedrooms (sometimes used as a configuration of two bedrooms and a den as the third bedroom was small), a kitchen with adjoining dining area, a living room, and a single bathroom. The Ranch homes include a full basement.

Odell was founded in 1989 by Doug, Wynne, and Corkie Odell in a converted 1915 grain elevator located on the outskirts of downtown Fort Collins. It was the second packaging craft brewery to open in Colorado, and the first in Fort Collins. Starting in his kitchen in Los Angeles, Doug Odell had spent ten years refining recipes and playing with brewing processes until he settled on the brewery's first two recipes, although not yet the names – 90 Shilling and Easy Street Wheat. After brewing and kegging his beer, Odell would deliver it, pick up empties, and make sales calls out of his old mustard-colored Datsun pickup. In 1994 the brewery constructed a building and brewed 8,300 barrels of beer. In 1996, Odell Brewing amended its draft-only commitment and added a bottling line to start packaging six packs.

Also around that time James Wardner had a small hotel on Rainbow Lake. Among the "second round" of settlers in the town of Brighton after its pioneers Follensby, S. Johnson, the Rice brothers, Amos and Levi; Oliver Keese and Thomas A. Tomlinson; James and Seth Wardner, were the Ricketsons, the Rands, the Dustins, Jute Q. King and his son, Philemon King. They were scattered along the highway from Keese Mill and McColloms to Paul Smiths to Easy Street to the Split Rock Road and to Rainbow Lake and Jones Pond. The hamlet now called Gabriels originated when Alfonzo Rand, William Ricketson, the Dustins, and the Otises cleared virgin forest land and began farming the sandy loam soils in the southern part of the town along the boundary with the Town of Harrietstown near Ricketson Brook and today's Split Rock Road.

Sobieski, who wrote the screenplay, introduced major differences between the stage musical and the film adaptation. In the stage musical, it is Christmas when Miss Hannigan, Rooster and Lily are caught at the Warbucks mansion by the United States Secret Service thus foiling their plan to kidnap Annie, while in the film (due to summertime shooting) Annie is kidnapped and on the eve of the Fourth of July, leading to Warbucks organizing a citywide search and a climactic ending on the B&O; Bridge. Punjab and The Asp, Warbucks's servants/bodyguards, from the original comic strip, appear in the film in supporting roles. Miss Hannigan's redemption at the end is also a new development on the part of the film – in the musical, Miss Hannigan briefly balks at Rooster's intention to make Annie "disappear" with his switchblade, but is soon lured by his promises of a life on Easy Street.

Bacon started in films as an actor with Charlie Chaplin and Broncho Billy Anderson and appeared in more than 40 total. As an actor, he is best known for supporting Chaplin in such films as 1915's The Tramp and The Champion and 1917's Easy Street. He later became a director and directed over 100 films between 1920 and 1955. He is best known as director of such classics as 1933's 42nd Street and Footlight Parade, 1937's Ever Since Eve (from a screenplay by playwright Lawrence Riley et al.), 1938's A Slight Case of Murder with Edward G. Robinson, 1939's Invisible Stripes with George Raft and Humphrey Bogart, 1939's The Oklahoma Kid with James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart, 1940's Knute Rockne, All American with Pat O'Brien and Ronald Reagan (as "the Gipper"), 1943's Action in the North Atlantic with Humphrey Bogart, and 1944's The Fighting Sullivans with Anne Baxter and Thomas Mitchell.

After spending several minutes searching the area, it was discovered that the first sergeant had left the weapon at the northern outpost where the convoy had staged. This was a repetition of the previous night's events, when a soldier from Able Company's 2nd Platoon had been wounded by enemy gunfire, and the first sergeant had forgotten his weapon at the same outpost. After the CASEVAC element departed, the remaining sixteen soldiers in 3rd Platoon were contacted by their company commander, again via radio, and were ordered to continue their mission, a heroic action for which the company commander was later awarded a Silver Star. Reaching their objective twenty minutes later, the remainder of 3rd Platoon began setting up their outpost for the 36-hour barrier operation, while the rest of Able Company began doing the same at other locations along Easy Street, all while under the protective cover of the tanks and Bradleys already there.

Melvin convinces her to appear on Easy Street, a game show hybrid of The Gong Show and Let's Make a Deal, and although her tap dancing initially is booed by the audience, she wins them over and nabs the top prize of living room furniture, a piano, and $10,000 cash. Melvin agrees to invest in an affordable house in a new development, but while Lynda tries to keep their finances under control, he rashly buys a new Cadillac Eldorado and a boat, prompting her to take their daughter and toddler son and sue for divorce. Melvin is comforted by Bonnie, the payroll clerk at the dairy where he drives a truck, and the two eventually wed and move to Utah, where they take over the operation of a service station her relatives had owned. One day, a mysterious man in a limousine stops at the station ostensibly to buy a pack of cigarettes, but after he drives off Melvin discovers an envelope marked "Last Will and Testament of Howard Hughes" on his office desk.
