Slightly Pimpish/Mostly Doggish is the fifth studio album and eighth album overall released by N2Deep. Although this album was released under the name N2Deep it is actually a Jay Tee solo album as TL does not participate on this project. The album was released in 2000 for Swerve Records and was produced by Jay Tee, Philly Blunt and Ken Franklin. Latino Velvet (a rap group consisting of Jay Tee, Frost, Baby Beesh and Don Cisco), PSD and Mac Dre all make guest appearances on this album.

Many anecdotes of Diogenes refer to his dog-like behavior, and his praise of a dog's virtues. It is not known whether Diogenes was insulted with the epithet "doggish" and made a virtue of it, or whether he first took up the dog theme himself. When asked why he was called a dog he replied, "I fawn on those who give me anything, I yelp at those who refuse, and I set my teeth in rascals." In 1998, N2Deep released The Rumble, which was predominately a Jay Tee solo, on which TL only appeared on one song. In 2000, Slightly Pimpish/Mostly Doggish would follow suit as another Jay Tee solo under the N2Deep moniker, this time with no participation from TL. Starting in 2001, Jay Tee dropped the N2Deep moniker and began releasing solo albums under his own name. In 2007, the group released a DVD with music videos, interviews and behind the scenes footage. In 2008, Jay Tee and TL reformed N2Deep and started performing with longtime friend Lofty (Joe Battle), Mike Mekhalian AKA "Big Mike" - guitarist and producer, Andrew Fox - drums, and Gregory Holben - bass (later replaced by Ray B. Williams).

Skiladiko or Skyladiko , (), is a derogatory term to describe a branch of laiko music and some of the current nightclubs in Greece in which this music is performed.Μusipedia: Σκυλάδικο It also refers to the so-called "decadent" form of laiko, and is derived from the Greek for dog (σκύλος, skilos), meaning "doggish" or "doghouse". The term was also used to refer to cheap or often unlicensed Greek night clubs with a usually shady reputation of Greek music on the outskirts of a Greek city or town.. The typical arrangement in current skiladika establishments includes an elevated stage ("palco") where singers and musicians perform Greek songs, with the use of heavy amplified bouzouki, electric guitars and other instruments.

A towering alien with a brutish cross of porcine and bull-doggish appearance, Kilowog is renowned throughout the Green Lantern Corps as the primary trainer of the Corps' newest recruits. The Guardians of the Universe recruited Kilowog, a gifted genetic scientist, from the planet Bolovax Vik, located in Space Sector 674. Kilowog was trained by Lantern Ermey (reference to Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey), who would often use the word "poozer", which means "useless rookie" (a word Kilowog would later adopt, albeit in a friendlier way). In the middle of a particularly arduous training session, Ermey had Kilowog and his fellow rookies help stop an attack on a group of Lanterns, one of whom was the future renegade Sinestro.
