Gunther agrees but says that Siegfried must not sleep with Brünhild. Siegfried slips into the room according to plan and after a difficult and violent struggle, an invisible Siegfried defeats Brünhild. Siegfried then takes her ring and belt, which are symbols of defloration.

It has been argued that this triptych is a visual representation of a defloration fantasy. The fourth sketch created by William of his sister contains a drawing of her head when she was a young teen. Alice’s eyes are cast downward and underneath her head, William wrote the caption “The loveress of W.J.” The fifth sketch William drew of Alice when she was in her late teens. Between the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, the band parted ways with drummer Antoine Baril and long-time bassist Dominic "Forest" Lapointe. Former Neuraxis drummer Tommy McKinnon (who joined full-time since then) and MAG bassist Christian Pacaud were recruited as temporary replacements for The American Defloration North American tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Obscura, and Hatesphere. As of 2013 Both Étienne Gallo and Dominic "Forest" Lapointe are back in the band, and are working with Augury on a new album.
