Max Barskih rose to fame in Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries in 2008 as participant of the Ukrainian talent show "Fabrika Zirok 2" (Star Factory 2). In 2010, Max Barskih won his first big prize with being awarded "Best Ukrainian Act" at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Max Barskih best performer on Ukrainian version of MTV EMA 2010 Max Barskih also had his acting debut in 2010, when he starred in Lara Fabian's musical feature film Mademoiselle Zhivago (that was published in 2013). In 2012, Barskih entered the Eurovision Song Contest Auditions for Ukraine with the English version of his song "Dance", but narrowly lost to Gaitana who represented Ukraine in Baku with her song "Be My Guest".

In January 1975, the Vigors and O'Brien partnership announced the amalgamation of the Coolmore Stud with the money of Robert Sangster and Magnier's Castle Hyde and Grange studs, creating Coolmore, Castle Hyde and Associated Studs. Coolmore became central to the transformation of thoroughbred horseracing, as Sangster, O'Brien and Magnier set out to capture the leading bloodstock lines, particularly of the stallion Northern Dancer, at increasingly dramatic auctions at the Keeneland Sales in Kentucky. Initially many of their most famous acquisitions, including The Minstrel and Alleged, trained to success on the track by O'Brien, were sold to American syndicates, but Coolmore soon began to increase the quality and size of its breeding operation. The application by the elderly Benett (she was 62 in 1912) for skipping ropes and balls for the suffragette prisoners to keep fit in Holloway Prison caused some amusement in the Home Office. A fellow inmate at this time was Kate Williams Evans on whose release Benett wrote a note to her maid Jane which reads: 'Miss Evans will be my guest till she is a little stronger. She has been starving so treat her as an invalid...' Benett's pencilled signature is included in an autograph book collected by Evans in Holloway which also contains the signatures of suffragettes Emily Davison and Emmeline Pankhurst. Benett became a friend of Emily Davison for whom she arranged to smuggle a watch into Holloway Prison.

Turning Point is a 2009 Hong Kong action crime thriller film directed by Herman Yau and starring Michael Tse in the title role of "Laughing Gor" and co-starring veteran actors Francis Ng and Anthony Wong. Released in Hong Kong on 13 August 2009, this is the first film to be produced by Shaw Brothers since 2003's Drunken Monkey. Michael Tse's performance as "Laughing Gor" in the TVB television serial E.U was well received, and due to his popularity, TVB general manager Stephen Chan Chi-wan, during an interview with Tse in Be My Guest on 1 April 2009, announced that a prequel/spin-off featuring "Laughing Gor" would be made and presented Tse a contract for the film.

Carol Deene (born Carole Carver, 3 August 1944, Thurnscoe, West Riding of Yorkshire, England) is an English former pop singer. After appearing on Joan Regan's BBC TV programme Be My Guest in 1961,Larkin C 'Virgin Encyclopedia of Sixties Music' (Muze UK Ltd, 1997) p148 when she was 16, Deene was signed to the HMV label, and scored a minor hit in late 1961 and three Top 40 hits on the UK Singles Chart in 1962. Deene's first hit was "Sad Movies (Make Me Cry)", a number 44 entry in the UK chart in October 1961. The song was a cover of a US hit written by John D. Loudermilk and originally performed by Sue Thompson -- and so was Deene's second hit, "Norman". "Norman" reached number 24 in January 1962.

Anjelica Huston was paid the SAG-AFTRA scale rate of $14,000 for her role in Prizzi's Honor. When her agent called up the movie's producer to request if she could be paid more, she was told "Go to hell. Be my guest — ask for more money. We don’t even want her in this movie.” Huston, who was not only John Huston's daughter but also Jack Nicholson's girlfriend at the time, wrote in her 2014 memoir Watch Me that she later overheard a production worker saying "Her father is the director, her boyfriend’s the star, and she has no talent.” She would go on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance, beating both Nicholson and her father in their respective nominations for Best Actor and Best Director.

In 2018 her Hunger Strike Medal, Holloway brooch and her archive of papers including her Metropolitan Police arrest warrant, an autograph book containing the pencilled signatures with hand-written pencil autographs from such suffragettes as Emily Davison, Emmeline Pankhurst and Sarah Benett were sold at auction. Also included in the sale was a rare copy of Holloway Jingles - a collection of poems written by the imprisoned suffragettes to which Evans contributed three poems, two of which are called "Who?" and the third "The Cleaners of Holloway", and a signed letter from Emmeline Pankhurst. The sale lot included a hand-written letter from fellow inmate and suffragette Sarah Benett to her maid Jane which reads: 'Miss Evans will be my guest till she is a little stronger. She has been starving so treat her as an invalid...' The collection was sold on behalf of Evans' family.

WOMT (1240 AM/107.9 FM) is a radio station in Manitowoc, Wisconsin owned by locally based Seehafer Broadcasting, which airs a mix of news, sports and adult contemporary music under a full service format, both locally spun by local staff and in the evening and weekend hours provided by Westwood One's "Adult Contemporary" network. The station serves the twin cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers, along with Sheboygan, Algoma and Kewaunee. The station is translated on the FM dial through W300EE, which is also licensed to Manitowoc, and launched in early May 2020 as a part of the FCC's AM revitalization plan.
