Mick Blood suffered a brain injury in a pub fight in 2014. The band reformed without him for a one-off benefit show in Sydney on September 23 with a number of guest vocalists, and Celibate Rifles, the Psychotic Turnbuckles and an unplugged Dubrovniks among the supports. In November 2015, the band announced it would play another benefit show at Sydney's Bald Faced Stag Hotel on January 23, 2016 with singer/actor Ripley Hood (Mushroom Planet, Funhouse, The Four Stooges) on vocals as Blood was still not well enough to perform. This show was cancelled several days later after objections from Blood.

The place possesses uncommon, rare or endangered aspects of the cultural or natural history of New South Wales. Avery Terrace is a rare example of a bald- faced, Victorian Regency Style terrace, unlike the more common Victorian Filigree Style of the era, associated with decorative cast iron verandahs and plaster ornamentation. It is one of a surviving group of terraces of this style including Playfair Terrace opposite and Argyle Terrace in Playfair Street. The high quality construction and detailing of Avery Terrace is rarely associated with working-class rental housing of the era and adds to the importance of the structure.

With the release of a documentary, Distorted: Reflections on Early Sydney Punk (2013), by Des Devlin (of Sekret Sekret), the surviving members of the original line-up: Berry, Morris and Mullany, reformed for a one-off gig. Billed as A Grand Night of Original Punk, on 19 April 2013, at the Bald Faced Stag Hotel, Leichhardt. It was the first time they had appeared together on stage since 1978. Other bands that had played at the Grand Hotel in the late 1970s also performed: Tommy & the Dipsticks, Rejex, the Urban Guerillas, the Crooked Hearts and Rocks.

East Finchley High Road in 1962 The land on which most of East Finchley now stands was once part of the Bishop of London's hunting ground, to the south of Finchley Common, first recorded around 1400. The Bishop of London built a road through his land, named The Bishop's Avenue, which still exists today. Another road extended further north, weaving through what is now Market Place, The Walks, King Street, and Oak Lane. As a result, pubs such as The Old White Lion, The Bald Faced Stag, and The Five Bells (on East End Road), all of which survive today, sprang up to provide rest for the people using the road.

One of the largest sources of civil opposition to the ATT has come from the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA), which is the lobbying arm of the NRA. In an interview for the Mitchell Report, released December 13, 2007, Justice denied using performance-enhancing substances, but was willing to report the names of individuals he suspected, though he claimed to have no direct knowledge of any other player's steroid use. He also claims to have never been warned of the side effects of steroids or explicitly told steroids were a banned substance. The Mitchell Report states that in a later interview, former New York Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski claimed to have sold Justice human growth hormone when Justice was with the Yankees after the 2000 World Series. Justice has called the allegation "a bald-faced lie" and says that he has never met Radomski.

During the 1860s the ground and first floor Victorian verandas were added to the house, with the first floor windows being converted into French doors. These modifications are classic representative examples of the development of Australian architecture away from the traditional English styles in response to local environmental factors. English bald faced buildings offered little protection against the sun while the French doors and veranda allowed for greater air circulation through the house alleviated the effects of the heat during the summer months. Such architectural features are illustrative of the way in which Australian architectural styles were forced to differ from the traditional English styles to accommodate for the vastly different Australian climate.

Eduardo Rivadavia of AllMusic said that although by the time they released the album, "the band had obviously stopped leading the New Wave of British Heavy Metal with its aggressive, blue-collar biker anthems", the album "as a whole offers a slight improvement over the previous year's Power & the Glory from an overall songwriting perspective". Canadian journalist Martin Popoff considered Saxon's turn to "a low-cal, kinder, gentler metal... a well-conceived experiment" and denied those who called Crusader "a failure" and "a bald-faced commercial maneuver", finding the album "refreshing if more than occasionally flawed." The album reached No. 1 in the metal charts in Sweden, France and Germany. It peaked at #18 in the UK Albums Chart.

The Atherden Street terrace, although not as ornate as the George Street terrace, or in such a prominent position, was a modestly scaled and detailed bald-faced Victorian Style residential structure, typical of the period. The brickwork was stuccoed and the roof a simple pitched gable over the main, two- storey section of the house. The terrace was built close to the escarpment rising to Gloucester Walk and opposite a row of four similarly modest houses that had been built in 1880 by Thomas Playfair, on the southside of the street. The terraces at the west end of Atherden Street would have stood in contrast to the single-storey, stone cottages built by Atherden in the 1850s immediately to the east of number 1-7 Atherden Street.

When the legislature passed legislation that aimed to speed up executions of prisoners on death row, Jones strongly opposed the legislation because many death row inmates have been exonerated, noting, "The one thing that you cannot take back is if you put a person to death, you can't bring them back to life. If you put a person to death and that person is innocent, that's one innocent life too many." Additionally, when the House was debating legislation that would "require a doctor to sign an affidavit that a woman is not seeking an abortion based on sex or gender," Jones declared that it was a "bald-faced lie" that the bill's advocates was supporting the legislation to oppose discrimination against minorities and women.

The road was once the haunt of highwaymen such as Jerry Abershawe, who terrorised the area around Kingston and led a gang based at the Bald Faced Stag Inn on the Portsmouth Road. Another particularly dangerous location was in the vicinity of the wooded crest skirting the Devil's Punch Bowl, Hindhead, about south-west of Guildford. The complexity of the double roundabout at the junction between the A309 Kingston by-pass and the A307 led to it being referred to colloquially as the Silly Isles, later the junction officially adopted the name The Scilly Isles. In 2011, the Hindhead Tunnel became the centrepiece of the Hindhead Bypass, away from the winding road of the small town, where the only urban set of traffic lights on the route outside London had created a bottleneck.

In late September 2016, the band announced that Max Karon from heavy metal ensemble I of Tongues has joined them on guitar. In December 2017, the band indicated that they were working on a new album. In late February to mid March 2018 the band were set to tour Australia with supports from In Death..., Rise of Avernus and Hollow World which ended up being cancelled due to the sacking of manager of Sydney venue The Bald Faced Stag who founded the touring company Stag Music Touring for allegedly not paying bands who performed at the venue for over several months. This put the touring company in jeopardy and they worked hard to find a replacement but there was not enough time to do so which led to its cancellation.

A few weeks after the film's TV première, Paul Haggis reported that a suspected Scientology spy posing as a reporter for Time had attempted to interview him in a possible attempt to obtain material to use against him; the Church denied the claim. Tony Ortega and another interviewee in the film, former Scientologist Marc Headley, reported that investigators from the church had surveilled them at Salt Lake City airport as they made their way to the Sundance Film Festival. The church contacted film critics complaining that their reviews of Going Clear were "filled with bald faced lies" and demanding that the critics should publish a church statement rebutting the film.

Born in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, Abershawe started his life of crime at the age of seventeen, leading a gang based at the Bald- Faced Stag Inn,Newgate Calendar Jerry Abershaw which was for many years the terror of the roads between London, Kingston and Wimbledon. When in hiding he frequented a house in Clerkenwell, near Saffron Hill, known as the "Old House in West Street", which was noted for its dark closets, trap-doors and sliding panels, and had often formed the asylum of Jonathan Wild and Jack Sheppard. All efforts to bring Abershaw to justice for a time proved futile, but in January 1795 he shot dead one of the constables sent to arrest him in Southwark, and attempted to shoot another. He was eventually arrested in London at a public house, The Three Brewers, in Southwark.

On April 19, 2019, the Kings County Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit in which Robert Krakow, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Patricia Finn of Children’s Health Defense represented five parents of unvaccinated children protesting the decision by New York City authorities to impose mandatory measles-mumps-rubella vaccinations for residents in parts of Williamsburg, as a response to the epidemic of measles in that area. The lawsuit was filed four days earlier against the New York City Department of Health and Human Hygiene and its commissioner. In his ruling, Judge Lawrence Knipel indicated that the arguments presented by the plaintiffs amounted to little more than "unsupported, bald faced opinion". Responding to Children's Health Defense's claims that the city's reaction to a "garden-variety annual measles outbreak" was excessive, the judge pointed out that the documents filed as evidence in fact demonstrated otherwise.

In an April 2017 public speech in New Delhi, Sajjan called himself "the architect" of Operation Medusa, a September 2006 Canadian offensive to remove Taliban fighters from around Kandahar. In July 2015, Sajjan had made the same claim during an episode of the B.C. program Conversations That Matter, stating that General Jonathan Vance, the Chief of the Defence Staff at the time the story broke in 2017, saw him as "the architect" in the 2006 offensive. At the time of Operation Medusa, Sajjan was a Major in the reserves and a liaison officer to Task Force Kandahar, where large combat operations such as Medusa were usually worked upon by generals and colonels. One of the anonymous officers cited in the National Post, which first broke the story, called Sajjan's statement "a bald- faced lie", while others praised him on a personal level and for his expert intelligence work, but found his claim "really, quite outrageous" because the planning for Operation Medusa was collaborative.

In April 2020, Christopher Rosa of Glamour ranked "Hallucinate" as Lipa's tenth best song stating it "is pure adrenaline from start to finish, with a chorus that explodes like a cannonball"/ In June 2020, Complex ranked "Hallucinate" as the 48th best song of 2020, with Grant Rindner of the magazine calling it a "clear highlight" on Future Nostalgia, while Elle ranked it as the fourth best "Happy Feel-Good" song in April 2020.
