Loofah and Doofah are two "Yellow Bellies" who appear in The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends. Loofah is voiced by Cuba Gooding Jr. and Doofah is voiced by Sandra Oh. Loofah is the cheerful leader of a herd of Yellow bellies who are looking for the Berry Valley. Doofah is a prominent female in her herd, and is equally friendly and optimistic. Both of them have short-term memory loss and are motivated by impulsive needs.

M. greyii is a very small skink with smooth scales and prominent limbs. Dorsally, it is grey to brown, usually with a stripe of black flecks along its back. Some populations have bright- yellow bellies, while others are silvery grey ventrally.

Lepidothrix is a genus of passerine birds in the manakin family Pipridae. Birds in the genus are predominately found in South America, but one species, the blue-crowned manakin, also ranges into Central America. The females of this genus have green plumage with yellow bellies, as do some of the males. The remaining males have black plumage with white or blue crowns.

Female Male Kirtland's warblers have bluish-grey upper body parts, with dark streaks on the back, yellow bellies, and dark streaks on the flanks and sides. Males have a black crown, mid-back band, wings and tail, an olive-green rump and yellow belly. Females and juveniles are olive-green with yellow bellies and resemble female orange- collared manakins. At breeding time, males are involved in lekking behaviour on the forest floor during which they puff out their neck feathers. This is a fairly common species with a wide range, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature has rated its conservation status as being of "least concern".

Charmander are small, bipedal lizard-like Pokémon native to Kanto. They have blue eyes, red- orange skin, three-clawed toes, yellow bellies, and a single yellow pad covering most of the bottom of each foot. While the Pokémon Red and Green sprites made by Atsuko Nishida featured only three fingers on each hand, like Charmeleon and Charizard, the artwork drawn by Ken Sugimori for those games depicted Charmander as having an additional thumb on each hand. Since Pokémon Black and White, a new updated artwork was released in which Charmander has just three fingers on each hand.

The English championship was held in 1810, between Tom Cribb of Bristol and Tom Molineaux from Virginia, United States. A Copthorner is traditionally known as a Yellowbelly, and there are a number of stories told as to why this might be. Some talk of villagers wearing their gold strapped around their bellies, but the most likely reason is probably tied to the traditional local trade of charcoal burning, where some of those working stripped to the waist found their skin turned yellow with the smoke. Another possibility has it that the smugglers had to crawl through the mud to avoid detection and thus acquiring muddy yellow bellies.

In appearance, sagebrush lizards are grey, brown or olive, with hints of blue or green on the dorsal surface during the light phase, and they often have irregular banding patterns on the body and tail. They also often display a black bar on the shoulder, and a light lateral and dorsolateral line on both sides. The scales on the rear portion of the thigh are small and granular, while the armpit and lateral surface of the body is often rust-colored. Females have white or yellow bellies, and males have distinctive blue patches on the abdomen and throat, although the throat patch can be absent.

By the 1920s, other teams sometimes called the Longhorn squads "yellow bellies," a term that didn't sit well with the athletic department. In 1928, UT football coach Clyde Littlefield ordered uniforms in a darker shade of orange that wouldn't fade, which would later become known as "burnt orange" or "Texas orange." The dark-orange color was used until the dye became too expensive during the Great Depression, and the uniforms reverted to the bright orange for another two decades, until coach Darrell K Royal revived the burnt-orange color in the early 1960s. For the 2009 Lone Star Showdown, the Longhorns wore a Nike Pro Combat uniform.
