The layup tracks dive down and cross under the eastbound track. The westbound track then rises to level out the three tracks, which continue east. This station has full windscreens except at the west end of the eastbound platform, which has a waist-high steel fence instead.

Krishnan In 2015 on the request of his friends, Acharya designed this graphic as a unique flag for the annual temple festival in his village consisting of a graphic of Hanuman with black outlines and saffron shades. It was posted on social media and became a popular image across nation,with vehicles sporting the stickers of the graphic on their rear windscreens. In 2017, a trend was noticed in Bangalore with the Hanuman graphic spotted across windscreens of several vehicles in the city. Acharya gets no royalties from sticker creators or manufacturers, though he states he is pleased his work is being seen by others and that his work went viral in 3 years.

The Alfa Romeo Canguro is a concept car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone. The car is based on the chassis of an Alfa Romeo TZ and was shown at the 1964 Paris Motor Show. The body is made of fiberglass rather than aluminium and it features one of the first glued in windscreens in a car. The name "Canguro" means Kangaroo in Italian.

Along with Futuron, Blacktron was one of the first unified subthemes in Space. The set designs were based around a black and yellow color scheme with transparent yellow windscreens and transparent red highlights. Blacktron minifigures wore black jumpsuits akin to today's military pilots, with white trim and opaque black visors. Micros race from one street corner to another along all the major arterial city roads. Brittle fracture in glass Hard products like ceramic pottery and glass windscreens can be studied using the same SEM methods used for metals, especially ESEM conducted at low vacuum. Their Crossley two- stroke engines were unreliable though, and prone to black smoke when throttling up. A further, more unusual, problem with the Metro-Vicks was with their front windscreens. On 6 February 2009, the bridge was closed by weather for the first time since its opening, after three vehicles were struck by falling ice, damaging windscreens. The station has two fare control areas at 73rd Street and two at 74th. Well into the second half of the twentieth century, Viennese frequently referred to the electrified tramway as die Elektrische (the electric). Up until 1910, the only trams delivered to the Vienna tramway network were vehicles with unglazed platforms (or cabs), i.e.: without any windscreens protecting occupants from the cold and wind. Since the 202 never made large scale production and all the cars were handmade, the small talented group at Cisitalia, including Carlo Abarth, Dante Giacosa and Giovanni Savonuzzi, made several variants of the 202. Of the more important versions, the SMM Nuvolari Spider was built and named after a class victory at the 1947 Mille Miglia by famed driver Tazio Nuvolari. It is easily identified by its large rear fins, twin windscreens and usual Italian red paint scheme. In total, around 200 cars were made which made a large impact on the later marques, including Abarth's later range of cars.

These new limits put the ACO out of step with the FIA and hence the race was dropped from the 1956 World Sportscar Championship. The C3s fuselage and wing struts were built up from welded chromium-molybdenum alloy steel tubes, faired with wood battens. It had two open cockpits each protected from the wind with generously-sized shatterproof-glass windscreens, and which could accommodated three people, with two in the front cockpit. The wings on the prototype were built around spruce and plywood box beam spars that were replaced with solid spruce spars routed into I-beams on production examples. Ribs were built up from spruce and plywood, while on the C3-225, duraluminium sheet covered the leading edge of the wing to improve the aerodynamic form.

Also located at the southwestern part of the square is Jaan Poldaas' Surface Design for Tampered Windscreens (1992), a sculpture composed of tempered glass screens which functions as a windbreak. The screens are etched with vertical and horizontal lines to create different relationships, and are arranged so that people can walk between them. Cynthia Short's Remembered Sustenance (1992) is piece composed of 19 small and generic bronze animals on the grass just off the sidewalk on Wellington Street West.

The majority of classic Malta buses had elaborate grilles and headlight arrangements, curved windscreens and sloping roofs. Later makes of bus were usually of conventional bus and coach designs that were in use elsewhere in the world, such as Plaxton Supreme and Duple Dominant bodywork. Between 1981 and 1987 the fleet was drastically modernised with the import of over 260 second hand buses from the United Kingdom. Many of the oldest buses in the fleet were further replaced with the influx of 150 new low-floor buses from China and Turkey, financed with government grant aid, leaving just three normal control vehicles.

A 7 train approaches the Flushing-bound platform This elevated station has two side platforms and three tracks. The center express track is used by the rush hour peak direction <7> express train. Both platforms have beige windscreens and brown canopies with green roofs along the entire length except for a small section at the south end, which has only a windscreen on the eastbound side and a waist-high steel fence on the westbound side. This is the southernmost (geographical west) station on the IRT Flushing Line that is on a steel viaduct above Roosevelt Avenue.

The Football League Trophy 1995–96, known as the Auto Windscreens Shield 1995–96 for sponsorship reasons, was the 13th staging of the Football League Trophy, a knock-out competition for English football clubs in the Second and Third Divisions (now known as League One and Two). The winners were Rotherham United, who defeated Shrewsbury Town 2–1 in the final. The competition began on 25 September 1995 and ended with the final on 14 April 1996. The tournament begins with clubs divided into a Northern and a Southern section, and teams entering a group stage.

Arnold, as a young officer, nearly lost control of his Wright Model B in 1911 after a bug flew into his eye while he was not wearing goggles, distracting him. In 1986, a Boeing B-52 Stratofortress on a low-level training mission entered a swarm of locusts. The insects' impacts on the aircraft's windscreens rendered the crew unable to see, forcing them to abort the mission and fly using the aircraft's instruments alone.

They operate on a 24/7 basis. An OBU is attached to the windscreen, and whenever a vehicle passes under a gantry, the required amount is written off from the OBU account. Some vehicles have so-called metallic (athermic) windscreens, and when driving such a vehicle, a driver should request information from the manufacturer to identify areas on the windscreen free from metal coating and attach an OBU according to the OBU User Manual.

The motor bodies were constructed on the chassis by the Board in two configurations, six with half-cabs and four with full-front windscreens. Once completed, they replaced trams on the Dallington route, and petrol buses on the Bryndwr and Springfield Road routes. The city's Sheppard-Yonge subway station features "Immersion Land", a mosaic composed of 1,500,000 one-inch tiles. Another of Spiegel's installations, Synthetic Eden, can be discovered in a hidden courtyard within the Financial District (Yonge and Adelaide Street East), a collection of three eclectic water-based sculptures and etched glass windscreens. The City of Mississauga's Living Arts Centre also features a trio of public art works by Stacey Spiegel (1997) including a water fountain (Pool of Knowledge) and two large wall-type structures (Book Wall and Data Wall).

Northmore began his career as a trainee with Torquay United, having previously been on the books of Plymouth Argyle and Swindon Town. He turned professional in August 1998, making his first team debut away to Gillingham in the Auto-Windscreens Trophy on 7 December 1999. His league debut came on 5 February 2000 in Torquay's 4–0 win at home to Halifax Town after regular keeper, Neville Southall had been injured in the previous league game. Northmore was highly rated by Southall as his understudy, but, when Southall was released at the end of the season, Stuart Jones was signed and took over as first choice keeper.

A Norman 18 in Gas Street Basin, Birmingham, England Norman boats are small fiberglass cabin cruisers built in the 1960s, 70's, and 80's, by Norman Cruisers Limited of Shaw and Crompton in Greater Manchester, England. Norman Boats were started in 1959 by Ernie Wheeldon. The business started in Shaw Lancs, then moved to Isherwood Street in Heywood Lancs, then back to a new site in Shaw. Other factories were added in Royton and Heywood, and the business expanded into manufacturing windows and windscreens for both Norman Boats and other customers under the name of North West Windows Ltd at the Heywood factory.

105Na is unidirectional motor tramcar, equipped with four doors. It represents the development of the earlier tram Konstal 105N, the main changes being the location of the components of the electrical equipment which were transferred from under the steps to the back wall of the driver's cabin, the introduction of a separate cabin for the driver and the removal of the small windows under the front and side windscreens. The most important change was the introduction of motor grouping, which reduced the energy consumption by 12%. During initial acceleration, the four motors are connected in series, whilst at higher speeds, two groups of motors are connected in parallel.

The 1999 Football League Trophy Final (known as the Auto Windscreens Shield for sponsorship reasons) was the 16th final of the domestic Football League Trophy competition for teams from the Second and Third Division of the Football League. The match was played at Wembley Stadium on 18 April 1999, and was contested by Millwall and Wigan Athletic. This was Millwall's first appearance at Wembley in a recognised competition, and the club brought around 47,000 of the 55,000 fans in attendance. Wigan won the match 1–0, with Paul Rogers scoring the winning goal three minutes into injury-time, one of only five goals he scored for the club in three years.

On the night of 13 March 2003 the first two protesters breached the perimeter fence of the RAF Fairford base using bolt-cutters, and once inside attacked instrument panels, brake cables and windscreens of support vehicles which were needed to supply the B-52 bombers due to fly that day. They used hammers and are also reported to have been carrying grinding- paste to put into fuel tanks. In their commitment to peaceful protest, the two protesters left notices on the damaged vehicles to warn operators and prevent an accident. They were discovered by a US serviceman, did not resist arrest, and were taken to Stroud police station.

The original Dominant had a windscreen (and matching rear windows) of the same height as the side windows. After 1976 it received a new design of grille and was known as the Dominant I. It remained in production throughout the Dominant's production life as a cheaper alternative to the Dominant II and because the deeper windscreens of the later Dominant marks were incompatible with some front-engined chassis. Some Dominant I bodies had Dominant II style rear windows, and/or headlights and front grilles. Special narrow bodies built for use on the Channel Islands retained the pre-1976 style grille until the end of production.

As with many other British Leyland cars of the period, a number of "special tuning" options were available for the Dolomite Sprint, offering dealer fitted upgrades to the car that included larger carburettors, freer flowing exhaust systems, and competition camshafts. These upgrades were designed by the factory race team and offered in order to homologate the tuning parts for competition purposes. Walsall Corporation specified some non- standard short-wheelbase Fleetlines, the first of which, 1 UDH , was only 25 ft 7 in long, had no front overhang and had its entrance behind the front axle. The next 29 vehicles were 27 ft 6 in long with a short front overhang and again only an entrance behind the front axle. The remaining 69 were 28 ft 6 in long, with a narrow entrance in the usual position along with the entrance behind the front axle. 1 UDH had Northern Counties bodywork with wrap-around windscreens on both decks, similar to that specified by Barton Transport on AEC Regents and a Dennis Loline.

Eventually, an escalator was established in the restaurant to make it easier for customers to access the second and third floors, where diners were seated. The Port Arthur was the first Chinese restaurant in New York City's Chinatown to obtain a liquor license. The restaurant was known for its delicious Chinese style dishes and delicacies as well as for its authentic Chinese style wall decor, inlaid pearl mahogany tables, teakwood chairs, ornate carved wooden panels, windscreens, lanterns, and chandeliers.

Returning to the pits, the team found nothing more than cosmetic damage, but upon returning to the circuit, the front left wheel came loose, throwing the car against the outside wall at Griffin's Bend, and then across to the other side of the circuit against the wall. The Salik toll was launched by Dubai's Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on 1 July 2007. Motorists are required to buy a 100 AED pre- paid card that is affixed to their windscreens. 4 AED ($1.08) is deducted from their account each time they pass through a toll gate.

Duple Metsec therefore had to find a third party who would be willing to assemble their body kits on the Dennis Dragon chassis and eventually Salvador Caetano in Porto, Portugal were chosen. The bodies also had new fronts designed for them which would accommodate the same size of windscreens that were fitted to the Alexander R-type bodies in the Citybus fleet. The front dash and cab area were also quite different as Caetano applied their coach styling skills to design a better cab area. The Citybus Dragons were unique in being the only 10.3-metre single-door Dragons built, and the 12m Dragons were the first air-conditioned examples for Hong Kong.

Most cars numbered above 800 had "swept corner" windscreens. From the early 1970s many cars had their little-used, narrow centre doorways panelled-over, and most had their original windshields replaced with SW6-class types, which had "swept corners" with half-drop side windows; not all of these received the deeper fascia. During construction in 1939, the last ten W5-class trams were modified with sliding doors the same as the first of the SW6-class trams, which was being built at the same time. These trams also had metal-framed, full-drop saloon windows with quarter lights. In 1956 W5-class trams 785 and 787 were converted to SW5-class (type 2), following accident damage.

Arapaho Center station (formerly known as Richardson Transit Center until 2002) is a DART Light Rail station in Richardson, Texas. It is located at Greenville Avenue near Arapaho Road. It opened on July 1, 2002, and is a station on the , serving the Richardson Civic Center, the University of Texas at Dallas and part of Richardson's Telecom Corridor including the facilities for Honeywell and Samsung. Customer features at this station include: station concierge, passenger shelters, windscreens, seating, restrooms, customer information, ticket vending machines, telephones, bus "kiss & ride" passenger drop-off/pickup area, free parking (1,100 spaces, overnight or long-term parking is at the discretion of the customer), bike rack and public art.

Pete's did acquire a small number of step-entrance Plaxton Pointer, Alexander and Wright Handybus split screen bodies to replace ageing Dodge S56s and a steady fleet upgrade continued well into the late 1990s. Notable purchases came from very early Duple Dartline and Carlyle bodied darts from London Buses with the sweeping curved windscreens, though one of the more unusual Dennis Dart purchases came from non-standard UVG bodied R810WJA. More contracts ensued with the requirement of high capacity double deckers for school work - Pete's acquired a number of MCW Metrobuses from London Buses operating units, some with both double door and single door conversions. The 1996-97 season proved to be possibly the most memorable in Stockport County's history. The season began in a forgettable fashion however, recording two draws and four defeats in the first six league matches. A 2nd round League Cup tie against Sheffield United proved to be a catalyst, and Stockport won with a 7–3 aggregate win, including a 5–2 victory at Bramall Lane. Although Stockport reached the northern final of the Auto Windscreens Shield, losing 2–0 on aggregate to Carlisle and just missing out on a visit to Wembley, it was the League Cup which provided the major highlights of the season, with four victories over top-flight opposition.

The first units to convert were Hawker Hurricane squadrons of the Desert Air Force (DAF), in early 1941. The new car introduced a range of additions and advantages over the Pobeda. In addition to being larger, it had single panoramic forward and rear windscreens, a larger four-cylinder overhead-valve engine, central lubrication system of the main chassis elements, hypoid rear axle and an automatic hydromechanical gearbox. Production vehicles began to enter service in 1986, the majority were bodied by Leyland at its Workington factory where the underframe was produced. All have a step entrance, Leyland offered the option of a floor with a step in the middle or one that gently ramped from aft of the front platform to the rear. A plan for offering this bus with a single-piece flat windscreen was considered, but was not carried out. A common feature, therefore, is that the Lynx has two separate windscreens and has the driver's windscreen raked back, resembling 1950s single-decker buses and the Wright Handybus. Engines offered were the Leyland TL11, Gardner 6HLXCT and Cummins L10, while the Lynx II was also available with the Volvo THD102KF.

The independent buyers were Abbott of Blackpool, Barton Transport, Bermuda of Nuneaton, Gliderways, Hall Brothers of South Shields, Jones, Keith of Aylesbury and Motorways Overseas. Of the 32 built 5 were on Leopards. All 27 Reliances were of the 590 type, Bartons 979-988 (979-88 VRR) having Cavalier type windscreens and a roof mounted destination box as well as air operation for the coach door, enabling use as a bus. Hall Bros had an illuminated name badges on the nearside under the first bay on its three Leopards and sole Reliance 590. This was the final year of the dateless registration plate system and two classics were on Grenadier-bodied Reliances, Keith Coaches had 1234PP whilst the first of Maidstone & District’s carried 3294D.

The defects included; 'milky' effect windscreens – apparent when under direct sunlight, poor-quality steel welding as evident in the indents seen on some areas of the carriage exterior, gaps in the plastic moulding, handrails not lining up with stairs and software problems. Once the majority of the problems were resolved by Downer EDi, CityRail allowed A3 to commence service, though operating under special conditions. It entered service on 1 July 2011, operating its maiden run from Redfern to Macarthur via the City Circle and Airport. Initially, it operated two return services from the City to Macarthur via the Airport line during the off-peak period on weekdays, and all day on the Airport & East Hills and South lines on weekends. On 14 October 2011, A3 became the first Waratah set to operate during peak hours.

During the 1970s, CIÉ's long-standing relationship with Leyland became strained, and in 1977 the company decided upon a standard "family" for its next generation of buses and coaches. It thus contacted FFG (Fahrzeugwerkstätten Falkenried) of Hamburg, Germany, which built six prototype vehicles: a 45-seat coach, a 72-seat double-deck bus, a 35-seat citybus, two 47-seat rural/school buses and a wheelchair-accessible midibus. Furthermore, the Dublin-based Van Hool McArdle bus manufacturing joint venture ceased operations in 1978 (it had taken over the bus manufacturing operations of CIÉ several years earlier), leaving the Irish Government keen to re- establish bus manufacturing in Ireland. Aside from the midibus, all of these vehicles shared common body components, the most notable being large, inward- curving two-piece windscreens.

The D.445 represented an evolution of the FS Class D.443 locomotive, maintaining the predecessor's reliability and operational capabilities. At the beginning of the 1970s FS, during a plan aimed at the expansion and modernization of current service, designed a new version of an unified diesel locomotive which could also resolve the issue of supplying power to heat carriages in an efficient way through a high voltage 2,800 V head end power supply (REC) fed by a secondary generator. Previous diesel locomotives were not provided with this and so required the use of a generator wagon (Carro Riscaldo), leading to increased weight. The first series of locomotives, introduced from 1974, were built with curved front windscreens which would be later replaced by cheaper and sturdier flat ones.

In 2013 Suzuki New Zealand introduced the Gypsy King into New Zealand badged as the Suzuki Farm Worker 4x4. Although sold as a Suzuki, with Suzuki script badges on the bonnet and tailgate, the Maruti logo badge can clearly be seen in the centre of the radiator grille. The Farm Worker is available in four slightly differing styles all based on the lwb softtop platform with a maximum payload of 500 kg: two having a rear window and fibreglass bulkhead, and two having canvas roofs with foldable front windscreens.

The Dominant II (introduced in 1976) had a deeper windscreen, rectangular headlights, a different grille and a smaller, flat rear window. The Dominant III was designed to satisfy a Scottish Bus Group requirement for express coaches, and featured shallow, parallelogram-shaped flat double-glazed side windows similar to those on SBG's previous Alexander M-type coaches. Most Dominant IIIs featured a small Dominant I style windscreen mounted in the lower Dominant II position so as to allow a destination display to be included without breaking the roof line, but others had full-height Dominant II type windscreens. The small high-level windows were designed for SBG's overnight Scotland to London services where quietness was more important than passenger views, but nevertheless some other operators did buy the Dominant III as a touring coach.

In 1955, a Triumph works team of three modified TR2s (disc brakes, larger carburetors, Jabbeke windscreens) were entered in the 24 Heures du Mans. Reaching speeds of up to 120 mph on the Mulsanne Straight, the team would complete the legendary endurance race in 14th, 15th, and 19th positions.

Chairman Doug Sharpe brought back the famous hat, and the Swans went on to win 3–1 on penalties. The microphone design differs from that of a conventional audio system in that the peculiar features of infrasound are taken into account. First, infrasound propagates over vast distances through the Earth's atmosphere as a result of very low atmospheric absorption and of refractive ducting that enables propagation by way of multiple bounces between the Earth's surface and the stratosphere. A second property that has received little attention is the great penetration capability of infrasound through solid matter – a property utilized in the design and fabrication of the system windscreens. Plato finished 2nd in the 2009 British Touring Car Championship with Chevrolet Plato's plans for 2009 had been affected by SEAT's shock announcement to pull their factory team out of the BTCC at the end of the 2008 season. It was speculated that Plato was planning to take a sabbatical from racing to focus on his TV work. However, after holding talks over the off-season with West Surrey Racing and Tempus Sport, Plato decided to return to the BTCC in a privately entered RML Group Chevrolet Lacetti. After the first meeting, the team secured sponsorship from Silverline power tools and Auto Windscreens for the rest of the season, and raced under the Racing Silverline banner. At the final round of the season at Brands Hatch, Plato became only the second driver after Dan Eaves at Thruxton in 2005 to win all three races, the first of which he won by a then closest-ever BTCC winning margin of 0.015 seconds, ahead of Tom Chilton.

Older (1960s-1970s) Starcraft fiberglass boats were characterized by their simulated "wood-strake" side hull appearance (excepting the Safari model), one-piece curved windscreens, smooth fiberglass closed-bow tops, 4 place fold-down seating, and having a modest outboard engine capacity ranging from 45 hp up to around 75 hp/80 hp (excepting Newport & Imperial I/O models). Lighter, more powerful, modern outboards can be accommodated on these study & well made hull transoms but torque forces developed by newer outboards do present some risk of damage to structural integrity if they exceed the rated capacity. Model names appear to have changed often in the 1960s, with different trim packages being the only true distinction between similarly sized models and engine capacities. In the mid-1970s tri-hulled style models were offered and the traditional closed-bow models began using sleeker, smooth, modern side-hull appearance designs, losing their distinctive classic "faux wood-strake" appearance.

The original outline of the body for rear-engined double deckers was widely considered unsatisfactory and Sunderland Corporation took a heavily revised version on Daimler Fleetline from 1962-66 featuring a prominent peak at the front dome and a reverse rake to the upper-deck rear in the style of the contemporary Ford Anglia saloon car. Great Yarmouth Corporation instead specified double curvature windscreens of Alexander design on its Leyland Atlanteans (including a unique short-wheelbase batch in 1967) and on the last three Daimler Freeline single deckers. This then became a standard option at Roe who also optionally fitted the Alexander style double-curvature upper-deck front window on rear engined chassis, curving the line of the foremost upper deck side windows down to meet this, producing an elegant style which suited the Fleetline and the post 1964 low height Atlantean. Also in 1964 for that year's Commercial Motor show Roe built its first body to the 36 ft length permissible since 1961, it was an early Leyland Panther for the Kingston upon Hull Corporation Transport fleet.

The redesign principally affected two areas, the cab and the location of the air intakes. The gangway doors fitted to the earlier examples were rarely used, their presence adding to the complaints of noise and draughts in the cabs and the removal of these allowed the centre windscreen to be enlarged, so that its lower edge lined up with the windscreens on either side giving a noticeably different front end look. The removal of the air filters from the side air louvers to the cantrail was the result of a comparison carried out at Inverness between a batch of Derby built Type 2s and a batch of BRCW Type 2s (Class 26 and Class 27), the tests targeting the air quality within the engine room. These tests revealed the location of the grilles on the Derby build allowed for much more debris to reach the filters (especially the lower ones), clogging them quicker, leading to poorer air quality within the engine compartment, and so potentially affecting performance and engine wear.

Independent customers for the RU were headed by Lancashire United Transport (LUT) of Atherton who took delivery of fifty over 1970-1. These had a special version of the Plaxton Derwent II body supplied only to this operator featuring flat rather than curved windscreens, deleting peaks on front and rear domes and having glazing and general appearance similar to Plaxton's previous (1958–66) Highway bus body. They also appear (judging by photographic evidence) to have had front- mounted radiators. As well as being fitted to the fifty RU which were dual- door 40-seaters on short chassis, the same body went on two batches of Bristol RESL6G, twenty B42D in 1967/8 and ten DP41F in 1973/4. Subsequently LUT (and other outliers such as the Calderdale Region of West Yorkshire PTE) were prevailed upon to take the standard version of the Derwent II. Other independent customers for the RU took the Pennine body, all in long single- door form with 51 bus seats; these were Garelochhead Coach Services (1), Dodds (AA Service) Troon (2), Grahams Bus Service of Paisley (1), and Reliance of Sutton on the Forest, North Yorkshire (2).

They were also the first EMUs to be based on the British Rail Mark 2 bodyshell, which featured semi-integral construction. During the mid-1980s they underwent their heavy C1 refurbishment at Wolverton which included new flat windscreens, a corridor connection between the Motor Vehicle (MBS) and trailer (TSO), and a PA system among other modifications. The Class 310 has a nearly identical body shell to that of the Class 312, there are some minor detail differences in the equipment locations and the MBS has a separate guards van and storage area whereas on the 312 it is combined. The braking system is slightly different with ventilated brake discs on the axles of the B4 non-powered bogies attached to the axles whereas on the Class 312 they are mounted on the wheel discs (this permits easy replacement in the case of defects). As are the motor bogies axles on the Class 310. When first arriving on the LT&S; the Class 310 were modified with an additional plug being inserted in the dummy cylinder of each vehicle and a different size "choke" fitted in the Electro-pneumatic (EP)valve to improve the braking performance to that required on a more intensive service.
