The Cow Tower is an artillery tower by the River Wensum in Norwich, Norfolk, England. The Sunday travel section of The New York Times in 1954 featured the "long established, more leisurely water route across Chesapeake Bay", as the writer described the Old Bay Line, recommending "the boat trip can be made comfortably and comparatively inexpensively every night between Baltimore, Old Point Comfort and Norfolk, and on alternate nights between Washington, D. C., and the Virginia communities". In the end too few people opted for this leisurely form of travel and passenger volume steadily declined. As deficits rose during the 1950s, the Old Bay Line began cutting back.

The player's main goals are driven by a to-do list of things to improve the Shade's life, however, no interaction with the game world is required to advance the timer, as it continues regardless of what actions are taken and increments independently of the game being open. Time advances faster in the Shade's home depending on how well-furnished it is, as well as while performing certain actions such as drawing. As a result of the timer's constant progression, it is possible to beat the game by opening it once, waiting 400 days, then opening it again, although this is not the intended way to play. To prevent cheating, the game also has a dungeon system as a consequence for players who attempt to circumvent the time limit by changing their computer's system clock.

Peeking inside, he sees Jerry's well-furnished home and reaches in to grab him; when he over- stretches his arm around the marble pillars, it snaps back and smacks him in the face. Next, Tom tries to enter the Acropolis and chase Jerry, only to be thrown out because there is a sign that says "No Cats Allowed." After failing to hit Jerry with a catapult, he successfully sneaks in when a statue's head falls onto his own, but has to keep hiding from the guards, accidentally knocking the arms off the Venus de Milo sculpture in the process (thus giving it its current appearance). Jerry gets the better of him several more times, tricks him into jumping on a chariot, and unhooks the horses, leaving Tom to careen down the front steps.

Like other rasboras, it is a shoaling fish, and should be maintained in the aquarium as a group consisting of a minimum of 6 individuals, a larger number being preferable if space permits. Innes refers to the visual spectacle that a large shoal of these fishes presents in a spacious and well-furnished aquarium, which with the temperament of the fish is a reason for its popularity. The species is relatively peaceful, though it is possible that some 'fin nipping' behaviour may occur if the species is kept with slow-moving and long-finned fishes in an aquarium. The incidence of this behaviour is not considered to be particularly marked, however, and is certainly not as visibly manifest as is the case with certain notorious species such as the tiger barb.

The last living tribute of the Hunger Games is the victor. After the Games, the victor receives extreme medical treatment in the Capitol to recover from all the injuries during the Games, followed by a final celebration during which they are interviewed and crowned victor by the President of Panem. Once the festivities are over, the victor returns to live in his or her District in an area called the "Victor's Village", where houses are well-furnished and equipped with luxuries such as hot water and telephones. All families in the victor's District receive additional parcels of food and other goods for a year. In The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the existence of the Victor's Village and the rewarding of the victor's District are both revealed to be ideas developed by Corionalus Snow during his internship as a Gamemaker between the 10th and 11th Hunger Games, in order to encourage Districts to have a greater stake in their tributes.

The Doctor and Leela are put in a well-furnished waiting room at the Court of Attack and are fitted with wrist and ankle bracelets that will contract and sever their hands and feet should they attempt to escape. They have been placed in the same cell as Fanson, who is shocked to learn that Leela deliberately allowed her opponent to live; for such a crime, she could be skullcapped and set loose on an open contract. For his part, the Doctor is surprised to learn that Fanson is here for committing murder while Leela is here for refusing to do so. Half horrified and half intrigued by Leela's “crime”, Fanson agrees to help the Doctor come up with a defence, and suggests that he claim that the kill was delayed in order to attract attention to his fighter; if this is the case, then the Senior Umpire terminated the duel prematurely.

However the set walls warped after it was put into storage at the end of production, and it had to be discarded. In addition, a cavernous, well-furnished console room was used in the television movie Doctor Who (1996). In the 2005 series, the console room became a dome-shaped chamber with organic-looking support columns, and the interior doors were removed. The change in configuration is explained in "Time Crash" (2007) by the Fifth Doctor as a mere changing of "the desktop theme" to "Coral" (he also indicates that a "Leopard Skin" theme is also available, but he dislikes it). Several episodes of the revived series, such as "Army of Ghosts" (2006) and the end of "The Unicorn and the Wasp" (2008), reveal that there is storage space directly underneath the console room; the Doctor is shown periodically obtaining equipment from this area via a panel in the floor. The 2005 console room was destroyed by the regeneration energy of the Tenth Doctor in the final scene of "The End of Time" (2009–10) and cold open of "The Eleventh Hour" (2010), although it makes a reappearance in the 2011 episode "The Doctor's Wife" as well as the 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor".
