IBS, in an effort led by U.S. Commissioner of Education John W. Studebaker, organized witnesses to testify on behalf of educational radio, and was instrumental in getting the FCC to secure an FM "reserved band" of twenty education channels from 88.1 to 91.9 MHz.Bloch, Jr. (1980) page 74-75. Later, IBS helped promote the establishment of low-power 10-watt Class D licenses, to provide for low cost entry-level noncommercial stations. In later years the organization added webcasting stations to its roster.

On July 2011, Nowcom announced that, after concerns from business differences between AfreecaTV and ClubBox, Nowcom's assets would be split into one publicly traded company, one oriented towards webcasting and online game development, and the other privately held company towards contents, media, and web storage. The split formally took place on July, 2011; where the present Nowcom was renamed AfreecaTV Co., Ltd. and consists primarily of Afreeca, TalesRunner, and O2Jam, while a new ZettaMedia was formed to take on Nownuri, PDBox, and ClubBox.

An Internet radio studio Internet radio (also web radio, net radio, streaming radio, e-radio, IP radio, online radio) is a digital audio service transmitted via the Internet. Broadcasting on the Internet is usually referred to as webcasting since it is not transmitted broadly through wireless means. It can either be used as a stand-alone device running through the internet, or as a software running through a single computer. Internet radio is generally used to communicate and easily spread messages through the form of talk.

In September 2005, MCOT (broadcaster of Channel 9), in response to allegations that Muangthai Rai Sapda had made inappropriate references to the monarchy, cancelled the program.The Nation, "Ch 9 drops Sondhi for royal references", 16 September 2005 However, Sondhi felt he was dropped for criticising the Thaksin government. He subsequently started broadcasting his talk show via satellite and webcasting it on the website of one of his newspapers, doubling his daily number of site visitors. The event became the magnet for oppositions of Thaksin's government.

Surfline is a company and website based in Huntington Beach, California that specializes in surf forecasting and surf reports, live webcasting, photography, videography, as well as editorial coverage of the sport of surfing. Surfline.com is now ranked 1,180 in the US and 5,784 in the world in terms of popularity compared to other websites and is now the largest provider of streaming HD coastal cams. Since 2003 it has taken on buoyweather.com and fishtrack.com (2012), on average the family of websites receives 175,000 visitors per day.

The Network consists of more than 1200 sites and 2200 endpoints and more than 3200 health care referrers and consultants use the Network to provide care to patients. OTN supports access to care across a wide variety of clinical therapeutic areas of care. The top five clinical categories supporting patient care are mental health and addictions; internal medicine; oncology; surgery and rehabilitation services. In addition to facilitating the delivery of patient care, OTN enables teaching and learning at a distance via videoconferencing and webcasting.

Many upgrades were performed the following year, including new studio and broadcasting equipment. The station experimented with station automation, using multi-CD changers, controlled via serial connection. A new transmitter was installed and the tower erected on December 26, 1996. There are many in the UK entertainment industry, including Pete Townshend, who feel that Thom's publicist lifted Rachel Fuller's concept and inflated the web statistics to hype Thom's image. Some critics accused Sony of orchestrating the campaign. Craig Logan, the managing director of RCA, denied these accusations, claiming that the label was "drawn to" Thom after hearing of the webcasting.

As Ringley attracted a following both on and off the Internet, more than 100 media outlets from The Wall Street Journal to Modern Ferret ran features. Ringley owned several ferrets and Modern Ferret featured Jenni and one of her pets on the front cover. As an actress, she was cast in "Rear Windows '98," a 1998 episode of the TV series Diagnosis: Murder, portraying Joannecam, a fictionalized version of herself. She also hosted her own Internet talk show titled The Jennishow on The Sync, an early webcasting network based in Laurel, Maryland.

He was a very early adopter of webcasting and podcasting, and is currently a member of the Subject Matter Panel on Technology for the Journal of Accountancy, and editor-in-chief of The Tech Gap, an accounting technology blog that he launched in 2003 (see external links). The company also presented the world's first virtual music festival in partnership with Glastonbury Festival in 2001, and has been online partner for Glastonbury Festival since 2000, webcasting full performances from bands including Gorillaz, Blur, Basement Jaxx, The White Stripes, Orbital, Coldplay, The Flaming Lips, Sigur Rós, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, and Bloc Party.

The company also funded the development of a new business, e-Symposium, which it acquired in the end of 2005 and renamed BrightTALK Conferences. BrightTALK opened its first office in the United States in 2006 and began to develop the technology to make live audio webcasting possible as a self-service tool. The new website launched in September 2008 enables business professionals to find and deliver webinars and videos. In September 2011, BrightTALK received $20.5 million in funding from North Bridge Growth Equity in exchange for a minority stake in the company.

Vodium is a Washington, DC based company founded by Cameron Clarke and Keith Cich in June 2000 offering webcasting technology and services. In 2001 it introduced its flagship product, MediaPod Player, which integrated streaming audiovisual content with Powerpoint slides, graphics, images and text. Vodium pioneered the use of synchronized text-to-video search which allowed viewers to rapidly search video of any length by the exact spoken word. Vodium's Datacoder is a production tool that provided editors with the capability to synchronize various content elements with any frame of the video.

Besides her work in print journalism, she has appeared as a television/webcasting news analyst on the public affairs programs Washington Week on PBS, PBS NewsHour, and Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News (as part of the 'All-Star Panel'). Admiral William H. McRaven, her fifth grade classmate and commander of USSOCOM, was her guest at the 2012 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. Adm. McRaven commanded JSOC when it planned and carried out Operation Neptune Spear, the U.S. Navy SEAL raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

A teaser scene with Gerard and Gray was released on YouTube in May 2010 Announced for webcasting on the Internet in 2010, the series never materialized and all references to it on the Internet Movie Database have been deleted. A May 4, 2011 article purported that the project was "dead", citing comments from Gerard and Gray. A Kickstarter crowd- sourced funding effort failed to reach its goal, and no official word as to the status of the project from the producers has been released since the Kickstarter effort.

IPD emphasizes diverse participation and broad civic involvement in economic policymaking, and facilitates a more democratic discussion of development around the world. The Wall Street Journal ran an article on January 19, 2009, outlining several allegations of state corruption in New Mexico and pointing to the state's lack of comprehensive ethics laws as a possible cause.New Mexico's Political Wild West On January 29, The Wall Street Journal published a letter by Rio Grande Foundation president Paul Gessing, suggesting that government transparency would improve New Mexico's political situation. Indeed, it has recently opened the door for people outside of the University of Durham to contribute as it aims to diversify the scope of opinion it carries. The aim of d21 is to combine all the recognisable features of a print newspaper, such as the latest news, views, music, arts and reviews, whilst also exploiting the internet medium to bring such things as a virtual tour of Durham, webcasting of Durham's student radio station Purple, a fully searchable listings system, web polls and an interactive comments system. Durham21 is entirely run by students. Durham21 was relaunched in March 2009 after being taken over by a new editorial team.

In 1999, Pope and Guthrie organised a contemporary version of Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, which was 1999's Tate Modern (Bankside) Annual Event. For this event, they chose 29 people to act as pilgrims and, on 11 September, they broadcast the pilgrims'stales live in Borough Market in Southwark, as well as webcasting them from this site onto the Internet. The website is now a record of the day's events, containing all the pilgrims' tales and prologues. The website contains an index, "The order of the day" and there a link to each pilgrim's home page, with details of the journeys they made to their chosen destinations within the project's 24-hour period.

After launching the webcasting company Concert Window with fellow Harvard graduate Dan Gurney in 2010, O'Connor joined several Boston-based bands and, for the next three years, was an in-demand sideman, session musician, and backup vocalist. In summer 2013, he recorded a five-song EP, Wisewater, which was released through CDBaby and iTunes. These exclusive rights have led to the evolution of distinct commercial terminology used in the music industry. They take four forms: : (1) royalties from "print rights" : (2) mechanical royalties from the recording of composed music on CDs and tape : (3) performance royalties from the performance of the compositions/songs on stage or television through artists and bands, and : (4) synch (for synchronization) royalties from using or adapting the musical score in the movies, television advertisements, etc. With the advent of the internet, an additional set of royalties has come into play: the digital rights from simulcasting, webcasting, streaming, downloading, and online "on-demand service". Most programs for Radio Veritas Asia's Urdu service are also recorded at the WAVE studio. Radio Veritas embarked on different means of delivering its religious message. It started using new technology such as the Internet and webcasting, and plans to upgrade to digital broadcasting. Between 2007 and June 2011 it had received over 30,000 letters from listeners in Pakistan, over 3,500 from India and nearly 500 from other countries.Radio Veritas Asia website On October 9, 2011, more than 80 people from all over the country attended the 11th listeners’ conference of Radio Veritas Asia’s Urdu language service in Lahore. There is a separate Chapel of Memory and the Garden of Rest is laid out over three levels. World music radio programs today often play African hip hop or reggae artists, crossover Bhangra and Latin American jazz groups, etc. Common media for world music include public radio, webcasting, the BBC, NPR, and the (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). By default, non-region-specific or multi-cultural world music projects are often listed under the generic category of world music. A terrestrial network (or broadcast network in the United States) is a group of radio stations, television stations, or other electronic media outlets, that form an agreement to air, or broadcast, content from a centralized source. For example, (US), (Canada), (UK), (Australia), (South Korea) and ABS- CBN (Philippines) are TV networks that provide programming for local terrestrial television station affiliates to air using signals that can be picked up by the home television sets of local viewers. Networks generally, but not always, operate on a national scale; that is, they cover an entire country. Streaming media, Internet radio, and webcasting are sometimes considered forms of broadcasting despite the lack of terrestrial stations; its practitioners may also be called "broadcasters" or even "broadcast networks".

In the meantime, BBCi, the interactive media arm of the corporation, who had scored successes with their Doctor Who webcasts (beginning with the aforementioned Death Comes to Time, which was followed by Real Time in 2002 and a re-make of the uncompleted Shada in 2003), decided on a more ambitious project to celebrate the programme's upcoming 40th anniversary. In July 2003, BBCi announced the production of Scream of the Shalka, a fully animated adventure adapted for webcasting with Richard E. Grant as the Doctor and Sir Derek Jacobi as the Master. As there were no concrete plans for producing a new series, BBCi announced Shalka as the official continuation of the programme, and that Grant was the official Ninth Doctor. However, events were soon to overtake that.

Guthman produced the two LIGO programs at the 2016 World Science Festival in New York, including the main stage Saturday night panel moderated by physicist and best-selling author Brian Greene, and featuring Weiss and Barish, three of their colleagues and four short videos from the Advanced LIGO Documentary Project's exclusive footage inside the discovery. In 2013-2014, Guthman worked with New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson to create a science television series based on the newspaper's Science Times section. For five years from 2008-2013, he was involved in 3D production and research, while making two feature documentaries in HD, Skiing Everest and Saturn’s Embrace, along with building the XPLR Channel and brand for webcasting adventure, expedition, environmental and science documentaries in partnership with Ted Leonsis' SnagFilms.

Initially broadcast through induction loops on the roofs of each hall of residence, it was one of the first UK student stations to move to the new free radiating low-powered AM licence in October 1999, with webcasting starting later the same academic year. In 2007 the AM transmitter was severely damaged in a fire, and LCR have continued to be a solely online station since. LCR has a regular term-time schedule, including weekday breakfast show Good Morning Loughborough, mid- afternoon entertainment show The Bubble, and non-stop DJ mixes throughout the night in The Nightshift. Aside from this, LCR hosts a regular BUCS live show on Wednesday afternoons as well as commentary live streams on major university games, and records weekly live music from the Coffee House Sessions.

In 1995, Benford E. Standley produced one of the first audio/video webcasts in history. On October 31, 1996, UK rock band Caduseus broadcast their one-hour concert from 11pm to 12midnight (UT) at Celtica in Machynlleth, Wales, UK – the first live streamed audio and simultaneous live streamed video multicast – around the globe to more than twenty direct "mirrors" in more than twenty countries. In September 1997, Nebraska Public Television started webcasting Big Red Wrap Up from Lincoln, Nebraska which combined highlights from every Cornhusker football game, coverage of the coaches' weekly press conferences, analysis with Nebraska sportswriters, appearances by special guests and questions and answers with viewers. On August 13, 1998, it is generally believed the first webcast wedding took place, between Alan K'necht and Carrie Silverman in Toronto Canada.

Graves worked three different venues as an announcer at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia: alpine skiing, Nordic combined and at Medals Plaza. The Vermont native also served as a commentator at the FIS Ski Tour Canada, which was also web streamed on CBC TV, and has broadcast the FIS Cross-country world cup finals in Quebec City. At the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, Graves served as host public address announcer for alpine ski racing and then traveled to Are, Sweden to announce at the FIS Alpine World Cup Finals. In 2019 Graves served as a co-public address announcer at the FIS Alpine World Championships in Are, Sweden and then hosted webcasting coverage of the 2019 NCAA Collegiate Skiing Championships from Stowe, Vermont.

Radio contest winner interviews can also be edited "on the fly" and put on the air within a minute or two after they have been recorded accepting their prize. Additionally, digital mixing consoles can be interconnected via audio over Ethernet, or split into two parts, with inputs and outputs wired to a rackmount audio engine, and one or more control surfaces (mixing boards) or computers connected via serial port, allowing the producer or the talent to control the show from either point. With Ethernet and audio over IP (live) or FTP (recorded), this also allows remote access, so that DJs can do shows from a home studio via ISDN or the Internet. Additional outside audio connections are required for the studio/transmitter link for over-the-air stations, satellite dishes for sending and receiving shows, and for webcasting or podcasting.

On November 1, 2008, CBCRO musical director Alain Trudel announced that the orchestra would attempt to continue independently of the CBC, as the National Broadcast Orchestra of Canada with plans to perform six to 10 concerts a year with a contingent of between 35 and 50 players. The NBO will have a projected budget of $1 million to be provided through fundraising though the ensemble hopes to eventually qualify for government grants. Trudel says the orchestra will continue to concentrate on North American music and new works by Canadian composers and intends to be a multimedia orchestra utilizing webcasting as well as undertaking radio and television projects.The National Broadcast Orchestra: a non-CBC rebirth In 2010 the orchestra, based in Vancouver, prepared for its first concert; the program included The Sparrow’s Ledger, a CBC-commissioned composition by Michael Oesterle.

Sondhi took his talkshow on the road, broadcasting via satellite (through his ASTV channel based out of Hong Kong) and webcasting via the website of his Manager Daily newspaper.The Bangkok Post, ASTV can still air Sondhi show , 2 May 2006 The show, which was taped at locations like the M Group corporate headquarters, the auditorium of Thammasat University, Wat Pa Ban Tat in Udon Thani (Luang Ta Maha Bua's temple), and Lumphini Park, attracted large crowds and turned into political rallies. Sondhi, responding to early allegations that he had disrespected the King, took to wearing yellow (the royal color) and using the slogan "We will fight for the King" and "Return power to the King." The constant references to the King caused Generals Prem Tinsulanonda and Surayud Chulanont, members of the King's Privy Council, to warn the public to keep the King out of politics.

Shot in black and white 16mm, Walls of Sand was shown at the Independent Feature Film Market (IFFM) in New York City in September 1995, at the Film Arts Festival in San Francisco in November 1995, and at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, in January 1996. However, it did not receive a theatrical commercial release. In March 1998, Walls of Sand was presented for real time viewing on The Sync, an Internet webcasting network. The Sync had already presented several short films and two classic public domain silent features, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919) and Nosferatu (1922), but no contemporary feature film had been made available for free real-time webcast viewing prior to Walls of Sand. (In 1993, the feature film Wax or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees was presented in an invitation-only, one-time non-webcast hypertext transmission to a few dozen computer laboratories.)“Cult Film Is a First On Internet,” New York Times, May 24, 1993 Jordan, in an interview with the New York Times, stated that she was taking a gamble in putting her film online, particularly at a time when Internet speeds were still relatively slow.

In February 2018, Peter Walker, a former Labour councillor for Figges Marsh who was suspended by the party in October 2017, claimed that the local Labour Party was excluding supporters of the national party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, from becoming councillors. Labour pledged to complete the building of a new leisure centre, bring AFC Wimbledon's home grounds within Merton, consider the introduction of a landlord licensing scheme, establish targets for affordable housing and introduce 20 mph zones. The Conservatives pledged to reintroduce weekly street cleaning, increase mobile CCTV, deliver a masterplan for Wimbledon, regenerate Morden, establish a 24/7 anti-social behaviour hotline, rebuild St Helier Hospital, introduce borough-wide anti-idling measures and reintroduce webcasting of council meetings. The Liberal Democrats pledged to institute a target of 50% affordable housing in large developments, install more public bins and public drinking fountains, increase cycling infrastructure, introduce default 20 mph zones, make Raynes Park and Motspur Park railway stations fully accessible, replace the closed walk-in surgery in Mitcham, introduce a levy on planning developments to pay for local schools, scrap charges for the use of Council-owned parks and playing fields, develop incubator sites for start-ups and establish neighbourhood plans.
