In times of crisis, data may also be forwarded to the National Command Authority in the U.S. via RC-135 or aircraft carrier task forces.

Valentin Vasilievitch Matyashev (October 8, 1927 – January 6, 2008) was a General Director of the Research Institute of Instrument Design (NIIP) from 1978 to 1998, Professor, Laureate of the Lenin and State awards, academician of the International Academy of Informatization. Under the leadership of Matyashev second and third generations of Buk SAM system were created in NIIP. One of the most significant developments under his direction became the weapons control system "Zaslon" for MiG-31 interceptor and "Myech" (Sword) for the multirole fighter Su-27. His is an Honorary Citizen of Zhukovsky.

Block IV also has an improved anti-jam GPS receiver for enhanced mission performance. Block IV includes Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS), and Tomahawk Command and Control System (TC2S). On 16 August 2010, the Navy completed the first live test of the Joint Multi-Effects Warhead System (JMEWS), a new warhead designed to give the Tomahawk the same blast- fragmentation capabilities while introducing enhanced penetration capabilities in a single warhead. In the static test, the warhead detonated and created a hole large enough for the follow-through element to completely penetrate the concrete target.

Torres Benítez, Oroz Eguia and Bengoechea Arratibel were subsequently charged with breaches of the War Weapons Control Act. The trial began on 10 May 1995. While BND president Konrad Porzner had denied accusations of having initiated the smuggling operation in April 1995, a report published in the news magazine Der Spiegel later that month revealed that the BND had, in fact, ordered the smuggling. The Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989 (AWCA), its augmentation in 1999, and the .50 Caliber BMG Regulation Act of 2004 have led to many restrictions on semi-automatic firearms. In addition to a list of specific firearms that are banned by name, the following firearms are banned by characteristic (from Penal Code §30515(a), formerly §12276.1): : (1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following: :: (A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon. :: (B) A thumbhole stock.

Firearms must be kept locked up when children may be present. The 2008 California Dangerous Weapons Control Law modified California Penal Code §12035 defining criminal storage of a firearm as keeping "any loaded firearm within any premises that are under his or her custody or control and he or she knows or reasonably should know that a child is likely to gain access to the firearm." A person may be charged with a crime, if he or she keeps a loaded firearm, and the child or a prohibited person takes the firearm to a public place or causes injury. The law was further expanded in 2019 to include unloaded firearms.

The submarines use a tactical-information and weapons-control system called the Submarine Command System Next Generation. This system was developed in collaboration with Microsoft, and is based on the same technology as Windows XP, which led the media to give it the nickname "Windows for Submarines". In addition to the missile tubes, the submarines are fitted with four torpedo tubes and carry the Spearfish torpedo, allowing them to engage submerged or surface targets at ranges up to . Two SSE Mark 10 launchers are also fitted, allowing the boats to deploy Type 2066 and Type 2071 decoys, and a UAP Mark 3 electronic support measures (ESM) intercept system is carried.

In Big Gun combat, club rules usually include provisions for the arming of torpedoes, usually represented by a fixed cannon firing 0.25" diameter projectiles. Although individuals have attempted to construct self-propelled 0.25" diameter torpedoes, their use has yet to be formally documented or demonstrated. Additionally, vendors have demonstrated working prototypes of weapons control systems suitable for Big Gun combat that would enable multiple turrets on a single vessel to be coordinated as a single weapons battery, allowing multiple weapons to simultaneously target a single vessel. All Pyrotechnics are specifically banned from use to protect the safety of people and animals, in addition to preventing environmental damage.

The Nimrod's navigational functions were computerised, and were managed from a central tactical compartment housed in the forward cabin; various aircraft functions such as weapons control and information from sensors such as the large forward doppler radar were displayed and controlled at the tactical station.Neal 1970, p. 122. The flight systems and autopilot could be directly controlled by navigator's stations in the tactical compartment, giving the navigator nearly complete aircraft control. The navigational systems comprised digital, analogue, and electro- mechanical elements; the computers were integrated with most of the Nimrod's guidance systems such as the air data computer, astrocompass, inertial guidance and doppler radar.

Newer FACs, specially Colombo class series III FACs are equipped with Elop MSIS optronic director and Typhoon GFCS as its own weapons control system. These act as both offensive and point defense weapons to protect the FAC from suicide crafts, by destroying them before they could ram or explode close to the FAC.

Gary Jones played Walter Harriman, an SGC technician who was also known as "Norman Davies" and "Chevron Guy" Chief Master Sergeant Walter Harriman (also known as the Chevron Guy among others, portrayed by Gary Jones, seasons 1-10) joined the Stargate Command (SGC) after excelling in navigation and automatic flight control operations during the first Gulf War. General Hammond recruited him as someone with excellent technical ability and a cool head to operate the Stargate under extreme pressure. He specializes in installing, maintaining and repairing bomb navigation, weapons control as well as automatic flight control systems. He is also an expert in radio and navigational equipment, and in maintaining test and precision measurement equipment.

Similar to the Air Defense Command SAGE (Semi-Automatic Ground Environment), the 412-L system was coordinated by a Joint Test Center at Ramstein AB. The system became operational in April 1965, and in recognition of how well it accomplished its myriad missions and for implementing the single 412L Air Weapons Control System, the 86th AD received a second Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for the period from July 1964 to June 1965. In June 1965, the mission of the 86th AD was changed to include not only air defense but offensive air operations. This change was due to the assignment of the 601st Tactical Control Squadron. However, in June 1966, the division reverted to a purely defensive role.

Advanced training for 1C5X1D Weapons Directors is available at the 8th Weapons School, Nellis AFB, Nevada. This challenging school is available to select 1C5X1D personnel in the rank of Senior Airmen through Technical Sergeant and is one of the most challenging advanced enlisted skills courses in the US Air Force. The badge was first authorized in mid 1969 for Officers in the 17XX career field, Weapons Control, and was seen as a motivational tool to raise morale in a career field that was noted for its remote assignments, family separations, and difficult living conditions.

Berthelsson's theoretical and practical knowledge of naval tactics was then used by placing him in the autumn of 1949 as head of the Weapons Control Office (Stridsledningskontoret) of the Royal Swedish Naval Materiel Administration, where he served for two years, during which time he was appointed Captain in 1951. An electro-mechanical all-electric drive (AED) for weapons control with independent stabilisation has been developed indigenously by DRDO in association with private sector industry for the turret. The purpose of the AED is to position the 40 mm cannon on to the target in azimuth and elevation and to provide twin-axis turret stabilisation against external disturbances. The AED uses brush-less drives with especially designed backlash-free elevation and traverse gearboxes coupled to the turret ring for rotation in azimuth, and to sector gears for elevation/depression of the cannon, respectively. The AED also employs vector-control technologies implemented through digital controllers and insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT)-based power amplifiers for control of the brush-less drives.

Dead Hand (, , lit. "Perimeter" System, with the GRAU Index 15E601, Cyrillic: 15Э601),Literally, "Perimeter System" also known as Perimeter, is a Cold War- era automatic nuclear weapons-control system that was used by the Soviet Union. General speculation from insiders alleges that the system remains in use in the post-Soviet Russian Federation as well. An example of fail-deadly and mutual assured destruction deterrence, it can automatically trigger the launch of the Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) by sending a pre-entered highest-authority order from the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Strategic Missile Force Management to command posts and individual silos if a nuclear strike is detected by seismic, light, radioactivity, and pressure sensors even with the commanding elements fully destroyed.

The AN/MSQ-104 Engagement Control Station (ECS) is the nerve center of the Patriot firing battery, costing approximately US$6 million per unit. (a database for the computer game Harpoon) The ECS consists of a shelter mounted on the bed of an M927 5-Ton Cargo Truck or on the bed of a Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) cargo truck. The main sub-components of the ECS are the Weapons Control Computer (WCC), the Data Link Terminal (DLT), the UHF communications array, the Routing Logic Radio Interface Unit (RLRIU), and the two-man stations that serve as the system's man-to-machine interface. The ECS is air conditioned, pressurized (to resist chemical/biological attack), and shielded against electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or other such electromagnetic interference.

Defense of the Federated States of Micronesia is the responsibility of the United States, but local police matters are handled by the FSM National Police, a small federal national police force, a division of the Department of Justice. Th FSM National Police is the law enforcement arm of the FSM national government, with specific mandated duty to enforce fishery laws, the Controlled Substance Act, the Weapons Control Act, Search and Rescue, protection of government officials and visiting foreign diplomats, and laws that are national in nature or crimes against the government. Other functions include medical evacuation, assistance in disaster relief operations, emergency communications and technical support and training state law enforcement agencies. The National Police is managed and administered from its headquarters at the capital, Palikir.

Brady served aboard the USS Postsmouth until August 2000 when he became a member of the Acquisition Professional Corps. As a member of the Acquisition Professional Corps, he served in various positions, among them Deputy Design Manager and Warfare Requirements Manager; Program Manager for the Virginia Class Submarine Program Office; Major Program Manager for Submarine Combat and Weapons Control Program Office; Executive Assistant to the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command; and the Major Program Manager for Advanced Undersea Systems. During this period of time Brady received Level Three acquisition training and in 2002 a promotion to Captain. On April 27, 2007, Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced that President George W. Bush had nominated Brady for the rank of Rear Admiral.

Kongsberg Defence Systems (KDS) is one of four wholly owned subsidies of Kongsberg Gruppen (KOG) of Norway and the supplier of defence and space related systems and products, mainly anti-ship missiles, military communications, and command and weapons control systems for naval vessels and air-defence applications. Today, the company is probably best known abroad for its development/industrialisation and production of the first passive IR homing anti-ship missile of the western world, the Penguin, starting delivery in the early 1970s (when KDA was part of KOG's predecessor Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk). As of 2005, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace had 1,421 employees. Space related activities are conducted within KDS itself in addition to its subsidiaries, Kongsberg Spacetec (wholly owned) and Kongsberg Satellite Services (50% owned by KDS, 50% by the Norwegian Space Centre), both located in Tromsø.

The Non-nuclear aggression agreement is a bilateral and nuclear weapons control treaty between the two South Asian states, India and Pakistan, on the reduction (or limitation) of nuclear arms and pledged not to attack or assist foreign powers to attack on each's nuclear installations and facilities. The treaty was drafted in 1988, and signed by the Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and her Indian counterparts, Rajiv Gandhi on 21 December 1988; it entered into force on January 1991. The treaty barred its signatories to carry out a surprise attack (or to assist foreign power to attack) on each other's nuclear installations and facilities. The treaty provides a confidence-building security measure environment and refrained each party from "undertaking, encouraging, or participating in,directly or indirectly, any action aimed at causing destruction or damage to any nuclear installation or facility in each country".

Westbrook's initial sea tours were in USS Hawes (FFG-53) as Communications Officer, Ordnance Officer and Weapons Control Officer, and included combat action in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. In 1993, he resigned from active duty to pursue a career as a small business entrepreneur in Charleston, South Carolina, during which time he also achieved a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Master's license. He returned to active duty in 1997 and eventually served as Combat Systems Officer in USS O'Brien (DD-975), then later served as the commissioning Combat Systems Officer in USS McCampbell (DDG-85). He then served at the Missile Defense Agency as the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Support Officer in 2003, and as the Missile Defense Agency's liaison to the United States House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense from 2004 through 2005.

In 1977, he ran during a special election as the Democratic candidate for Assembly to succeed Charles Warren, who Carter appointed to head the Council on Environmental Quality in Washington, DC. In 1977 he was elected to the California State Assembly, serving 14 years in various capacities. In his second legislative term, he was chosen by his caucus as Majority Floor Leader. He served as (Democrat) Majority Floor Leader for six years until he was elected Speaker Pro Tempore of the California State Assembly. The Kadena location provided the Command element, Standardization and Evaluation and Trainings Sections along with providing two Tactical Control Operations Teams that executed out of Yozadake Subbase (JASDF), Okinawa. On 1 August 1994 the 623rd Air Control Squadron's two detachments became separate flights under the USAF's objective wing reorganization “one base, one wing, one boss” initiative. Consequently, the 623d Air Control Squadron at Kadena Air Base was re-designated the 623d Air Control Flight, Detachment 1 at Fuchu Air Base became the 624th Air Control Flight, while Detachment 2 at Misawa Air Base became the 610th Air Control Flight. The 623d ACF's mission was now two provide rapid response, combat ready tactical control operations teams, integrated battle staff, weapons control and command and control liaison elements in support of US and bilateral interests throughout the entire PACOM theater.

President Mataskelekele of the Republic of Vanuatu In 1974, Crisp was commissioned an ensign at Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. Her early career included positions at Naval District of Washington as protocol officer and public affairs officer; security, communications, and public affairs positions at Pearl Harbor, HI; manpower and personnel department head in the 3rd Fleet; weapons control and air traffic control program project officer at Fleet Combat Direction Systems Support Activity in San Diego, CA. She was promoted to rear admiral in 2001. After that, Crisp was Director of Manpower and Personnel Readiness for the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman in Washington, DC. during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Between 2002 and 2004, she was stationed in Oahu with the Navy's Pacific Fleet. In January 2008, she assumed the position of Commander of the Joint Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Accounting Command (JPAC).

A variety of treaties and agreements have been enacted to regulate the use, development and possession of various types of weapons of mass destruction. Treaties may regulate weapons use under the customs of war (Hague Conventions, Geneva Protocol), ban specific types of weapons (Chemical Weapons Convention, Biological Weapons Convention), limit weapons research (Partial Test Ban Treaty, Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty), limit allowable weapons stockpiles and delivery systems (START I, SORT) or regulate civilian use of weapon precursors (Chemical Weapons Convention, Biological Weapons Convention). The history of weapons control has also included treaties to limit effective defense against weapons of mass destruction in order to preserve the deterrent doctrine of mutual assured destruction (Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty) as well as treaties to limit the spread of nuclear technologies geographically (African Nuclear Weapons Free Zone Treaty, Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty).
