An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment which converts information into human-readable form. It can be text, graphics, tactile, audio, and video. Some of the output devices are Visual Display Units (VDU) i.e. a Monitor, Printer, Graphic Output devices, Plotters, Speakers etc.

As technology developed engineers realized that the output of a CRT display was more flexible than a panel of light bulbs and eventually, by giving control of what was displayed in the program itself, the monitor itself became a powerful output device in its own right. Computer monitors were formerly known as visual display units (VDU), but this term had mostly fallen out of use by the 1990s.

The system allowed for agents and importers to use visual display units and printers in their offices to connect to departmental systems. The system was so successful it was only decommissioned in 2006, with the introduction of the Integrated Cargo System (ICS). On 6 November 1980, at the recommendation of the Williams Royal Commission, the Australian Narcotics Bureau was disbanded by the Fraser government. The government re-purposed Customs as the agency responsible for enforcing federal laws relating to importation of drugs at the border.

Early computers were typically operated using mechanical teleprinters, which provided a continuous printed record of their output. However, during the 1970s, these became obsolete and were replaced with visual display units, and text was lost once it scrolled off the top of the screen. To compensate, programs typically paused operation after displaying one screen of data, so that the user could observe the results and then press a key to move to the next screen. A similar pause was also required when some physical action was required from the user, such as inserting a floppy disk or loading a printer with paper.

Trains meet at Knighton Station in 1962 The refurbished station in 2018 The station was built in 1865, although the Knighton Railway route from Craven Arms had reached here four years previously. The present station dates from the opening of the Central Wales Railway to Llandrindod Wells. From here the line begins to climb as it heads west into Wales (on gradients that reach 1 in 60 in places), eventually reaching a summit near some above sea level. In 2004 the station was partially refurbished, with visual display units installed to display train departure times, and enhanced disabled access on the northbound platform.

Gmina Kobierzyce is located near the city Wrocław and to the North part (in Bielany Wrocławskie) there are the biggest shopping centres in Poland and one of the biggest in Europe (Centrum Bielany, Castorama, Ikea, Obi, Tesco, "Piotr i Paweł", Makro, Black Red White, Office Depot, Komfort, Euro RTV AGD, Electro World, Media Markt, Auchan, Agata Meble, Leroy Merlin and other kinds of shops). Near the Biskupice Podgórne there is a LG-Philips factory, which produces liquid crystal visual display units, and a Toshiba Corporation site. The A4 and A8 motorways and E67 and E261 European routes pass through the gmina.
