The results are better than those delivered by traditional upscaling algorithms, and although the process is not instantaneous (it took around eight seconds per image on our 2017 MacBook Pro), it's fast enough to be a boon to designers and image editors of all stripes.

Things are more pedestrian when it comes to the video side of things — HDR10 support, with a promise for Dolby Vision via a later firmware update, 4K upscaling for older content, and support for a wide range of formats from 4K Blu-rays to audio CDs.
