The children try to destroy the mirror but it tricks them, making them believe they are hitting the mirror when they are actually hitting the wall.

The pair make their way through the castle ruins, evading the ghostly soldiers, and Trico's broken horns and wings slowly regrow. In a flashback, Trico flies to the boy's village and steals him from his dormitory. It flies back to the Nest, but is struck by lightning and chained up by the soldiers.

In the mental hospital, the doctors urge Buffy to make her task easy on herself, so in Sunnydale Buffy unchains the demon in the basement to kill her friends for her. Xander pleads with Buffy to free his hands, but she retreats under the stairs. Meanwhile, Tara shows up at the house and finds everyone in the basement.

When the gang members cut the station's electricity and begin a second wave of shooting, Bishop sends Leigh to release Wells and Wilson, and they help Bishop and Leigh repel an attempted invasion, though Julie is killed in the firefight. In act 1 Jun meets the innocent and hapless young butler Oonami Kurata (whose name is a pun which roughly translates to “big-wave tanker”) who is surprised to see Jun chained up by her parents and with no freedom. Oonami assists Jun while she is chained so she can pee, and so that she is fed. Soon after Oonami gets bullied by the muscular Mauta Nandou of the scheming Nandou family, a suitor of Jun. Jun unchains herself and reveals her muscular body and beats up Mouta.

Bean, however, sees a policeman outside the amusement park entrance and races to find him, but loses him among a crowd of teenagers wearing fake police helmets from a nearby gift shop. Bean eventually realises that he has no choice but to look after the baby whilst enjoying himself. Bean unchains a guard dog and uses the chain to tie the baby's pram while taking the baby with him on various rides. First, he goes to the dodgems, but in his hurry to pay the man in charge, he puts the baby's feet on the pedal and has difficulty getting back to the dodgem by riding on the back of other dodgems and driving his own while standing up.
