Pink Fairies (Mark 2) was formed in early 1970 by Twink with Mick Farren's former bandmates, the Deviants. The two-drummer Pink Fairies line-up recorded a single The Snake / Do It, followed by the Never Never Land album, before Twink left in 1971 (although he would periodically return).

While the former Deviants' sidemen were still stranded in America after the tour, Twink, Farren and former Tyrannosaurus Rex percussionist Steve Peregrin Took had used the Pink Fairies name for various activities including one shambolic gig in Manchester (with Farren on vocals, Took on guitar, Twink on drums and his girlfriend Sally "Silver Darling" Melzer on keyboards) and the recording of Farren's solo album, Mona – The Carnivorous Circus.

The Fairies were a British rhythm and blues band led by drummer John 'Twink' Alder, who recorded three singles between 1964 and 1965. The group began in Colchester, Essex, in 1963 as 'Dane Stephens and the Deep Beats'. After a year, the band evolved into 'The Fairies' - Dane Stephens (born Douglas Robert Ord, vocals/blues harp), John 'Akky' Acutt (lead guitar, ex-the Strangers), Mick 'Wimps' Weaver (rhythm guitar/fiddle - not the same-named organ player also known as Wynder K Frog), John Frederick 'Freddy' Gandy (bass) and John 'Twink' Alder (drums, ex-the Strangers). In late 1964 the Fairies recorded the single "Don't Think Twice It's Alright" for the Decca Records label.

Howard Earle "Twink" Twining (May 30, 1894 – June 14, 1973), nicknamed "Doc", was an American pitcher who played in Major League Baseball but only for one game in his entire career: on July 6, 1916, with the Cincinnati Reds. Toy Play's 18 inch talking Rainbow Brite doll notoriously omitted the color green when 'speaking' all of the colors of the rainbow. Toy Play indicated that the missing color would be added for future production runs, but this never happened because the line died out before a corrected version appeared. Toy Play was the first (and so far only) merchandiser to produce a Color Castle playset, the Light Up Musical Castle, which included small articulated figurines of Rainbow Brite, Red Butler, Twink and Puppy Brite. The playset's box showed pictures of forthcoming product (a Rainbow Brite and Friends Sprites' village playset, an in-scale Starlite with brushable mane, as well as figurine 2-packs to include Rainbow Brite and Twink, Red Butler and Romeo, Patty O'Green and Lucky, Canary Yellow and Spark, and Murky Dismal and Lurky) though these were never produced.

The Live Mike was an Irish television comedy, variety, and chat show presented by Mike Murphy. It was first broadcast on RTÉ 1 on 9 November 1979. The programme featured a candid camera pieces by Murphy himself, with parody songs and comedy sketches by Twink, Dermot Morgan and Fran Dempsey, as well as a serious studio interview. The show ended on 2 April 1982.

In 1965 Twink moved to London and lived in Chelsea. When the Fairies came to a halt, he joined a rhythm and blues/soul music band called the In-Crowd in August 1966, after its previous drummer had left the band. Other members were Steve Howe (guitar; later of Yes fame), singer Keith West & John 'Junior' Wood (bass). A few months later the band was renamed Tomorrow.

In the Fall of 2010 three Sprite dolls appeared at retail in Mexico. These included Twinkle (a renamed Twink) for Rainbow Brite, Nite Sprite for Moonglow and Twilite for Tickled Pink. These were already in production when US retailers dropped the line. In February 1972, after a few guest spots in Cambridge with ex-Pink Fairies member Twink on drums and Jack Monck on bass using the name The Last Minute Put Together Boogie Band (backing visiting blues musician Eddie "Guitar" Burns and also featuring Henry Cow guitarist Fred Frith), the trio formed a short- lived band called Stars. Though they were initially well received at gigs in the Dandelion coffee bar and the town's Market Square, one of their gigs at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge with the MC5 proved to be disastrous. A few days after this final show, Twink recalled that Barrett stopped him on the street, showed him a scathing review of the gig they had played, and quit on the spot, despite having played at least one subsequent gig at the same venue supporting Nektar. Free from his EMI contract on 9 May 1972, Barrett signed a document that ended his association with Pink Floyd, and any financial interest in future recordings.

Recorded live at the Ruisrock Festival in Turku, Finland, in 1971. The Pink Fairies made a rare overseas trip by travelling to southern Finland for an appearance on the second day at the three-day Ruisrock festival. The state radio station recorded only a selection of bands and luckily the Fairies were one of these. With ex-drummer Twink departed, the band were now a threesome and comprised: Paul Rudolph (guitar) and Duncan Sanderson (bass) and Russell Hunter (drums).

After saving the fifth Spirit, they journey to Flower Fields retrieving the sixth one. Mario becomes a suspect of murder when he finds the Shiver City's mayor unconsious; after solving the mystery (which was a mayor's own accident), Mario got to the Crystal Palace where he saves the last Star Spirit from the Crystal King. As he saved every Star Spirit, Mario then departs to Peach's Castle. Meanwhile, Peach tries in numerous attempts to escape the castle alongside Twink.

Shagrat was a British supergroup formed by Steve Peregrin Took and Mick Farren in February 1970 after they split with Twink, their partner in the prototype Pink Fairies supergroup of late 1969. They recruited Larry Wallis (guitar, backing vocals) and Tim Taylor (bass). Mick Farren left the band shortly after its establishment and never recorded or performed with them. Shagrat then became Took's band outright with Wallis, Taylor, Phil Lenoir (drums), and later Dave Bidwell (percussion).

When Bishop married and left the band, Farren recruited Canadian guitarist Paul Rudolph (born Paul Fraser Rudolph, 14 June 1947, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) at the suggestion of Jamie Mandelkau. This band recorded and released the album The Deviants 3 through Transatlantic Records. During a tour of North America's west coast the relationship between Farren and the musicians became personally and musically strained, and the band decided to continue without Farren, who returned to England where he teamed up with ex-Pretty Things drummer Twink (born John Charles Alder, 29 November 1944, in Colchester, Essex) and Steve Peregrin Took (born Stephen Ross Porter, 28 July 1949, in Eltham, South East London) to record the album Mona – The Carnivorous Circus, an album interspersed with interviews with Took and a member of the U.K Hells Angels before concentrating on music journalism. The three remaining musicians - Rudolph, Sanderson and Hunter - continued in North America for some months occasionally playing gigs there under the Deviants name, before returning to England early in 1970, and teaming up with Twink to form the Pink Fairies.

In the late 1980s he produced "Up the Block", a humor comic strip set in a gay neighborhood, for Frontiers. He produced 27 installments of "Jake", a 4-page series for Jock magazine; over 20 episodes of "Dick Darling, Hollywood Cover Boy", a 2- or 4-page strip for a twink-themed porn magazine; and 7 episodes of "Johnny Guitar" for another magazine. At the end of the 1980s, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and continued to work with California publishers by mail.

Twink replaced Skip Alan in the Pretty Things (alongside Phil May, Dick Taylor, Wally Allen & Jon Povey) and participated in the making of their classic album S.F. Sorrow. He was also a member of this group when they appeared in the Norman Wisdom film What's Good for the Goose. He became noted for outrageous behaviour, such as climbing the speaker stacks and diving into the audience when the band performed at a free open-air concert in London's Hyde Park.

In 1976 a new group called the Fallen Angels, led by guitarist Mickey Finn, with Greg Ridley from Spooky Tooth and Humble Pie, Twink from the Pretty Things, and Bob Weston from Fleetwood Mac set out to record an album and for vocals recruited May. However, after they had recorded only eight partially complete songs, all except May abandoned the project. May recruited some more players to complete the album Phil May and the Fallen Angels, which was only released in the Netherlands.

The British musician and actor Twink, born John Charles Alder, is said to have taken his stage name from the product. In the first episode, Grandpa Twink relates the story of how it all began to his grandson, Little Jake. Tex is riding up from the valley and comes across a lost and hungry Indian boy, Makooya, and saves him. Tex is given four magic feathers by the boy's grandfather, Chief Kalamakooya, as a reward for saving his grandson.

All the early albums were finally re-released on CD and Reckless financed the recording and release of his sixth album, Any Gas Faster, using a professional studio for the first time, reuniting him with Drummer Martin Crowley. Silky Curler Twink by Elida was a popular brand of home perm kit that was available in Britain in the late 1960s and 1970s, retailing for about 37 pence. It was promoted using full-page advertisements in women's magazines, such as the leading title Woman, and became a household name. Like some other such kits, its use could produce a strong odour of chemicals in the hair that some found unpleasant. The fashion for home perming subsequently ended and the brand has long since ceased being produced.

Abbadiah and Zebbidiah Jones are twins from Buffalo, New York; they prefer to go by their nicknames, Twink and Tom. The twins enjoy watching cowboy serials on the family TV set, customized by their scientist father with its own wall-sized projection screen. The band's leader and songwriter, Don Marquez, took the stage name Donnie Jupiter upon forming the Twinkeyz in 1977. The name "Twinkeyz" was chosen as a tribute to Twink, drummer for the British group Pink Fairies, rather than as a reference to Twinkies, a snack cake. Jupiter also cited groups such as the Ramones, Television and Blondie as early inspirations for the band. The group began in Davis, California, as a recording project between guitarists Jupiter and Walter Smith, joined by Keith McKee, a professional touring drummer.

Encouraged by her father who recognised her talent for drawing, Avis attended night classes to learn pen and ink sketching at the Druleigh School of Art on Queen Street. It was these lessons that gave her the confidence to write her first cartoon series, The Adventures of Twink and Wink, the Twinkle Twins which was published by the Auckland Star. Tyler, an aspiring actor in his early twenties, has just moved to New York City in an attempt to jump-start his career. Dane Stephens recorded under the pseudonym 'Zion De Gallier' for Tomorrow producer Mark Wirtz. Freddie Gandy joined Bluesology alongside Long John Baldry, Elton Dean and Reggie Dwight (Elton John), followed by a late line-up of Sam Gopal in 1969 and Hookfoot in the early 1970s. Twink reunited with Stephens and Weaver on his 1991 album Odds & Beginnings, which included the tracks "Anytime At All", "Don’t Bring Me Down", "Get Yourself Home" and "Boot Black". The Ipswich-based Nik Wymer Band (NWB) released the album Time Will Tell in 2009.

A regular 'collaborator' he also played with the revived Pinkwind featuring Nik Turner & Twink (ex Pink Fairies) and after moving to Brighton regularly appeared with Slim Tim Slide (Tim Rundall) sometimes under the pseudonym "Stinky & Stumpy", a partnership that continued sporadically for the rest of Thoms' life. He played festivals such as the Big Green Gathering, Cosmic Puffin Festival, Glastonbury, Earthwise etc.

Turner's next project was Nik Turner's Fantastic All Stars, a sax and Hammond organ driven jazz and rhythm and blues band. They gigged for several years, eventually releasing the album Kubanno Kickasso!. Turner and Twink got together for some impromptu live performances under the name Pinkwind, two CDs of which were released on Twink's own record label without the permission of Turner. In 1993 Turner was approached by Pressurehed and Helios Creed to record another version of his Sphynx project using the original flute tracks, resulting in the album Sphynx.

In the early 2000s Twink spent some time in Los Angeles, before settling in Marrakesh, Morocco. 2013 saw the re-release of Think Pink on the Sunbeam label, in CD, vinyl, and digital formats. This was followed by a new release You Reached for the Stars – a collaboration with Italian group the Technicolour Dream, plus guest guitarist Brian Godding from Blossom Toes. The album was recorded in Rome, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios by engineer Peter Mew, who also worked on Pretty Things and Tomorrow recordings in the 1960s.

Twink had left the band before the recording of this album. Former The Move guitarist Trevor Burton occasionally joined the band for gigs and contributes to a couple of tracks, otherwise the band is the same line up stranded in San Francisco as The Deviants in 1969 after they sacked vocalist Mick Farren. The sleeve came in a gatefold cover by Edward Barker, the front showing a box full of goodies mostly taken from roadie Boss Goodman's personal collection of underground badges etc., the inner gatefold a cartoon strip.

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is a 2012 American comedy film co-written, co-directed, and co-produced by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. The film is both Heidecker and Wareheim's feature directorial debuts. The film stars Heidecker and Wareheim with a supporting cast which includes Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Ray Wise, Twink Caplan, Robert Loggia, and Will Forte. After wasting their billion-dollar film budget on a short film, Heidecker and Wareheim try to pay back the money by re-opening an abandoned shopping mall.

Shortly after the album's release in 1968, the band attempted to perform the album onstage at Middle Earth Club in London. It was by all accounts a strange show which featured the band miming to the EMI backing tracks. Each member also played various characters and in the role of Sorrow was Twink, wearing a leotard, white face make up and indulging in his penchant for mime. After that, a handful of songs from the album became part of their typical live set notably "She Says Good Morning", "Balloon Burning" and "Old Man Going".

They learn they can leave Hightown merely by swimming and walking down through the air, since gravity does not function in the place's vicinity. They next find their way to the Valley of Romance, where they stumble into a nightmare of incompetent amateur theater. Meanwhile, Chelsea (possessed by Fuchman) arrives at Ahab's room and seduces him, and the sibling proceed to have multiple sexual encounters, culminating in the implied creation of a Fuchman born of incest. The Satanist cult, which Stegel and Mark are revealed to be members of, attacks Ahab at his apartment. Luckily, John and Twink arrive just in time to help Ahab fight the cult off and kill them, berating Ahab for allowing himself to be seduced by his own sister. They discover that Fuchman has taken Chelsea back to Hell with him.

The devil is revealed to be God, and as she fades away, John begs Chelsea to have an abortion in order to kill the potential Fuchman/product of incest growing in her womb. Mary, Ahab and John are left in Hell and question how they will escape. John suggests they just hope; however, as the camera pans to their bodies on Earth, it is revealed that the corpses of Twink, Ahab and John have rotted away and have been eaten by a pair of cats, rendering Chelsea the only survivor.

Performers and playwrights associated with the theatre have been celebrated with hand-prints cast in bronze and set in the pavement beneath the theatre canopy. These handprints include those of Luciano Pavarotti, Brendan Grace, Maureen Potter, Twink, John B Keane, Anna Manahan, Niall Toibin and Brian Friel. The theatre played host to the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest, the first to be staged in Ireland, during the Gaiety's centenary year. BearCity is a 2010 American gay-themed comedy-drama film directed by Doug Langway, and written by Langway and Lawrence Ferber. It stars Joe Conti as a young gay man in the "twink" category who fantasizes about larger, hairier men known as "bears", and his search to find the perfect man. The sequel BearCity 2: The Proposal was released in the fall of 2012. BearCity 3 was funded by an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, and had a limited release at various LGBT festivals and venues in 2016, and received a full release digitally and on home media in 2017.

On 6 September 1998, the line up who recorded the original album – excepting Twink – returned to Abbey Road Studio 2 to perform a fully live version of the album for one of the first netcasts. Joining them were Arthur Brown who provided the narration, David Gilmour who added lead guitar parts on a handful of songs, Skip Alan's son Dov on percussion, Frank Holland on guitar and vocals and manager Mark St. John on percussion. The ensemble performed to a specially invited audience of friends and family. The netcast server was quickly overloaded so barely anyone got to see it live as intended.

Adam John Monck known as Jack (born 14 March 1950, London, England) is a British bass guitarist, songwriter and teacher. Jack Monck started playing bass guitar in 1968 with the blues band Delivery with Steve Miller, Phil Miller and Pip Pyle, later joined by Lol Coxhill and Carol Grimes. The band toured UK playing their own gigs and backing Lowell Fulson, Otis Spann and Champion Jack Dupree among others. In Cambridge in the early 1970s he played with Syd Barrett, Twink, Fred Frith and Chris Cutler of Henry Cow and co- formed Rocksoff who were a collective of songwriters.

These dolls had their English or Spanish names covered by a sticker with the German name or sometimes nothing at all. Twinking is typically done by transferring higher-end equipment from the player's (or their friend's) more-experienced characters (who often have excess gear that would be much more useful to the lower-level character). The player controls Peach in a variety of minigames each time after Mario saves a Star Spirit, such as baking a cake to a Shy Guy or even cloning the appareance of Bowser's minions with a magic umbrella. At the end of every gameplay segment with Peach, she overhears Bowser speaking about the bosses Mario beats before being discovered and then transported to her room again. Mario enters the castle and confronts Bowser; with the power of the seven Star Sprites, Mario manages to beat Bowser by stopping his invicibilty while Peach and Twink battle Bowser's sidekick Kammy Koopa. Mario and Peach, alongside their friends, eventually win against Bowser and Kammy.

The band undertook a 33-date tour of Britain and Ireland from 10 October through to 15 November to promote the album. Eight dates into the tour, Blake left after clashing with Brock over an incident leaving the hotel the morning after the Stoke concert. Blake's technician, Paul "Twink" Noble (who had previously played with Here and Now and would later join Gong), took Blake's place using Blake's equipment, until a road accident forced him to leave the tour after another five dates. Keith Hale, who had been in Blood Donor and was writing and producing for Toyah, then joined the band for the remainder of the tour.

Ryder had hoped to be a fashion designer, undertaking a course at Central Saint Martins which he did not complete; from there he worked in retail, first for Prowler and then for the designer Vivienne Westwood. After being sacked by Bolan, Took formed a prototype version of the Pink Fairies with Twink and Mick Farren, recently ousted from his own band, the Deviants. This band was named in honour of a drinking club of the same name the three had formed earlier that year, along with other leading lights of the underground scene. Together with Twink's girlfriend Silva Darling, they performed what Farren would later describe as "less of a gig than a protracted harangue" at the University of Manchester in October 1969, which rapidly dissolved into chaos. Took appeared prominently on Farren's first solo album Mona – The Carnivorous Circus (recorded December 1969, released 1970).

After the original Sam Gopal Dream band broke up in 1968, Sears went on to session work and formed his own band Giant, while Hutchinson and Clark recorded three albums as 'Clark-Hutchinson'. Sam formed a new line-up which included vocalist-guitarist 'Ian Willis' (better known as Lemmy), Roger D'Elia and Phil Duke. The album Escalator was recorded in late 1968 and released in March 1969. Lemmy went on to be the bassist of Hawkwind and, in 1975, the founder, singer and bassist of Motörhead. Roger D’Elia (who was grandson of the actress Mary Clare) later turned up in a mid-1970s band called Glider, which included Twink (ex-The Fairies), Andy Colquhoun and Chas McKay.

While attending art college together in 1964 Gardner and Wood met Tony Munroe, Ali McKenzie and Pete McDaniels and formed The Thunderbirds. They were signed to Decca Records at the end of that year, and in 1965 released several singles, including "No Good Without You Baby" and "Leaving Here", after a name change from The Thunderbirds to The Birds. In late 1965 the Birds left Decca to sign with Reaction Records, but Gardner and Wood quit the band and joined The Creation, a mod band popular in Europe, especially Germany. In 1967, Gardner recorded some tracks with Jon Lord, Ronnie Wood and Twink under the name Santa Barbara Machine Head, released on Blues Anytime Vol. 3.

He is the percussionist in Norwegian ambient collective Sonisk Blodbad and has contributed to releases by toy pianist Michael Langlie's TWINK, The Brown Cuts Neighbors and Jason Martin (Power Animals). Cerio's current solo project Atlantic Drone has released an eponymous cd on Noiseville records and "a vivified sugarcube explains the universe" on lp by Circadia records which feature guitarist Dave Rick (Yo La Tengo, Bongwater, Phantom Tollbooth, When People were Shorter and Lived by the Water, King Missile), Michael Duane (DustDevils) and Sal Canzonieri (The Thing, Electric Frankenstein).

San Francisco band LSD and the Search For God recorded an album and toured California with Maymi on drums. In 2001 Maymi toured North America with Sonic Boom's Peter Kember#Spectrum as guitarist. He is also known for making guest appearances around the world with artists and groups including The Triffids for their "Secret In The Shape Of A Song" tribute to David McComb concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and London. Other names include The Church, Marty Willson-Piper, Steven Roback of The Rain Parade, Twink of Pretty Things fame, The Clientele, The Clean, The Lea Shores, The Koolaid Electric Company, The People's Revolutionary Choir, Flavor Crystals, The Telescopes, The Morning After Girls and Jean-Jacques Perry.

Other songs performed at the concert included "Do It", "3/5 Mile in 10 Seconds", "The Snake", "Street Urchin" and "Bye Bye Johnny" plus a drum solo... poor recording quality led to a sadly abbreviated release. This was in truth the 2nd reunion of the year, the first having taken place in Feb 75 without the presence of Twink and generally considered the better of the two despite the Fairies non-headlining status at the earlier gig. After the Robinson campaign, Harris was asked to work for Fine Gael by its leader, John Bruton. However, he received criticism from both within and outside the party in April 1991, when he wrote the script for a sketch for the Fine Gael Ardfheis in which a cleaner (played by the comedy actress Twink) interrupted the leader's speech. The sketch was criticised as being in bad taste and tacky, particularly in its references to a controversial incident that had made the news, wherein a female reporter from RTÉ had allegedly been groped by an inebriated Fianna Fáil TD. Elton Motello was an English punk rock and new wave band. Elton Motello is both the moniker of Alan Ward, the lead singer and songwriter, and the name of the band itself.Strong, Martin C. (2003) "Elton Motello", in The Great Indie Discography, Canongate, Alan Ward was formerly a member of the glam punk band Bastard along with Damned guitarist Brian James, Dez Lover, future Raxola frontman Yves Kengen and Nobby Goff. Motello then recruited a new set of musicians including Mike Butcher (aka "Jet Staxx" who had played on Jet Boy, Jet Girl), Willie Change (bass), and Nobby Goff (drums), to record debut album Victim of Time, which also featured guest appearances from former Pretty Things and Pink Fairies drummer John "Twink" Alder, Tony Boast, and Peter Goff (guitar).

In 2010 the paper won a landmark legal ruling when a privacy and defamation case taken by Ruth Hickey was dismissed by the President of the High Court Mr Justice Nicholas Kearns. The ruling copperfastened the importance of freedom of expression in Irish law and stated that it can only be outweighed by the right to privacy in limited circumstances. Mr Justice Kearns also defended the right of the newspaper to publish information that was clearly in the public domain on the internet (in this case the infamous 'Zip Up Your Mickey' phone rant by Twink whose husband had left her for Ms Hickey). The lineup of the Pink Fairies (Mark 1) featured Think Pink musicians Twink, Took and Farren – all three having left their respective bands – and was named after the 'Pink Fairies Rock 'n' Roll Club', a loose group of people including Took, Farren, the Deviants, Syd Barrett (formerly of Pink Floyd) and the Pretty Things. They were resident in Ladbroke Grove, the home of the UK Underground. The Mark 1 line-up performed one shambolic gig in Manchester and recorded Farren's solo album, Mona – The Carnivorous Circus, in late 1969 before falling apart. Took, Farren and former Entire Sioux Nation guitarist and bassist Larry Wallis and Tim Taylor then assembled the band that became Shagrat, with Farren departing before any recordings were made and drummer Phil Lenoir joining to complete the line-up.

At the peak of the 'Second-Wave' of popularity in the 1970s/1980's a number of new brands and types of perms were introduced including 'No-Ammonia' perms and 'Soft' perms (Rave) which guaranteed 'No- Frizz' results even on bleached or tinted hair as well as "Temporary" perms that lasted only a few weeks before washing away leaving hair in virtually the same condition as before you permed. Other types included customized versions that let you adjust the curl level before you made it 'permanent' and 'spot' perms that let you curl just certain parts of your hair ( bangs, crown, ends) and leave the rest of your hair untouched. Another brand that was a household name in Britain in the late 1960s and 1970s was Twink (home perm).

For the follow-up Space Oddity album recorded between June and September 1969, Bowie and producer Visconti were backed by a new line-up of Junior's Eyes comprising Mick Wayne (guitar), John 'Honk' Lodge (bass), John Cambridge (drums) and Tim Renwick (guitar, flute, recorder). The same band backed Bowie on a BBC Radio Dave Lee Travis Show session in October 1969, and (without Wayne) on single B-side "Conversation Piece", recorded in January 1970. Wayne had also helped record James Taylor's debut album between July and October 1968, and Honk had played on the album Think Pink (track "Rock and Roll the Joint") by Pretty Things drummer Twink in July 1969.

Two of the feathers allow his guns to swivel and fire automatically (often while Tex's hands are raised), and the other two allow his horse, Rocky, and his dog, Dusty, to speak. As Tex, his horse, and dog are very thirsty, Kalamakooya also makes a waterfall where there had been no water before, and so when the town was built it was named after Tex's feathers and the waterfall. The characters of the town are Grandpa Twink, who does little but rest in a chair; his grandson Little Jake, the only child in town; Ma Jones, who runs the town store; Doc Haggerty; Slim Jim, the bartender of the Denison saloon; Marvin Jackson, the bank manager; and Dan Morse, the telegraphist. Other characters appeared from time to time for only one episode, often just visiting town.

Contrary to popular belief, the first Independence Grandstand was not originally located on the present site of the Quirino Grandstand but on the area close to Dewey Boulevard right across the Rizal Monument and the flagpole. It was completed in 1946 for the ceremony of the declaration of Philippine independence from the United States on 4 July 1946. Juan Arellano designed the original grandstand in the neoclassical design with ornate elements added to the structure such as a triumphal arch at the top with two "wings" that shaded the main galleries, a stage in the form of a ship's bow with a carved figurehead of a maiden representing freedom, and two other figures, representing a Filipino and a Filipina, that stood about 10 meters tall behind the stage and the central gallery.Macaraig, Twink (host) (28 June 2010).

He split his prize money between a children's charity, a children's hospital and a centre for those with disabilities. Kevin Sharkey had a serious disagreement with the other "farmhands", as they were called, and subsequently refused to appear with them on The Late Late Show after the series, instead appearing on rival chat show The Dunphy Show.

With Burkett replaced by first Mick Stannard in late 1965 and then Rod Clark, the band were renamed "The Mickey Finn" in 1966. They released four more singles, the last of which, "Garden of My Mind", is their best known song and has become a cult favourite despite failing to chart at the time. Reverting to his original name (percussionist Mickey Finn had by then become famous as a member of T.Rex), Waller played guitar with Sam Gopal (1969–70) and the Heavy Metal Kids (1972–74), before relocating to France and becoming a sought-after session musician. As Mickey Finn, he returned to the UK and joined Steve Marriott's All Stars in July 1975, and in May 1976 Finn and fellow All Star Greg Ridley (bass) formed The Fallen Angels with Twink (drums), Guy Humphries (guitar) and (initially) Bob Weston (guitar) and Keith Boyce (drums).

The extended CD album also includes tracks where he plays guitar and bass on early cuts of the album songs. Powell and Rudolph formed the short-lived Kicks with Cal Batchelor and Steve York, before the pair of them worked on Mick Farren's Screwed Up EP. The EP led to the offer of an album, Vampires Stole My Lunch Money, but by then Rudolph had decided to return to his native Canada. There have been archive releases and reunions for both Pink Fairies and Hawkwind which he has resisted, with the exception of a pair of albums Pleasure Island and No Picture recorded with Twink and released under the Pink Fairies name. In September 2009, the What a Bunch of Sweeties Pink Fairies line-up re-united in the studio to record a new version of "Do It" for the various artists CD Portobello Shuffle.

In 1965, after Wymer replaced Stephens as singer, they recorded two more singles, "Get Yourself Home" and "Don't Mind", for HMV. "Get Yourself Home" was written by Johnnie Dee, road manager for the Fairies, but rejected by the Pretty Things and recorded by the Fairies instead; previously, Dee's song "Don't Bring Me Down" had been rejected by the Fairies but became a hit for the Pretty Things in 1964. Twink: "We became like the Pretty Things when Nik Wymer came along - mostly because Nik looked and sounded so much like Phil May... and then after [Dane Stephens] came out Nik left and we got Dane back but we were really trying to recreate something which we'd already lost.

After a spell in Morocco Twink moved to Cambridge and worked with the 'Last Minute Put Together Boogie Band', initially with vocalist/guitarist Bruce Michael Paine (ex-Apple Pie & star of the San Francisco production of 'Hair') and 'The Honk' playing bass, and also played in a band named ZZZ with Alan Lee Shaw and Rod Latter (who later reunited as the Rings). The Last Minute Put Together Boogie Band, now with ex-Delivery bass player Jack Monck, backed American Blues guitarist Eddie "Guitar" Burns at King's College Cellar in January 1972. Jack's wife Jenny Spires, an old friend of Twink's and former girlfriend of Syd Barrett (ex-Pink Floyd), went with Syd down to the gig and he brought his guitar along and jammed with them at one point. The next day, the Last Minute Put Together Boogie Band, with guests Fred Frith and Syd Barrett, played on a bill with Hawkwind and the Pink Fairies.

Other guest presenters up until Christmas 2008 included Mary McEvoy aka Biddy from Glenroe, Donna and Joseph McCaul, Rosanna Davison, Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh, Rebecca Loos, Caroline Morahan, Anna Nolan and Twink. After their usual mid-season break, the show returned on 9 February for a further twenty episodes with a new Lady of Ballydung Manor, Caroline Morahan. Podge (or Rodge) opened the show with the announcement that "It's the same oul’ shite", before introducing Morahan with a number of quips such as: "She was Off the Rails and now she’s off the dole queue", "A fully nationalised, index approved ride", "Lady Caroline of the Manor" and "Ireland’s answer to Angelina Jolie." The fourth season began on 20 October 2008 and ran until 14 April 2009, which turned out to be the final episode of the series as it was announced that a new format, Podge and Rodge's Stickit Inn, a celebrity pub quiz would replace the chat show in the Autumn 2009 schedule.

From 2000 to 2017 he co-wrote, composed and performed as an actor/musician in the award-winning Wharf Revue series of political satirical revues for the Sydney Theatre Company, including Free Petrol, Sunday in Iraq with George, Much Revue About Nothing, Pennies from Kevin and Open for Business. Other cabaret shows include The Twink and the Showgirl with Vincent Hooper, and co-writing script (with Dean Bryant) and musical arrangements for the bio-show Newley Discovered which premiered at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2009 and starred Hugh Sheridan. Phillip co-created several shows with singer/actor Trevor Ashley, including Gentlemen Prefer Blokes, Fat Swan, Little Orphan Trashley, and the tribute shows Diamonds Are For Trevor and Liza's Back (Is Broken). His recent cabaret shows (as writer and performer) are Mario, about the life and music of Mario Lanza, with Blake Bowden, and Reviewing the Situation, about the English songwriter Lionel Bart.

In March 1968, drummer Skip Alan suddenly quit the band to marry his French girlfriend, and Twink (born John Charles Alder), whose band Tomorrow had recently split up, took his place. Working with noted EMI staff producer Norman "Hurricane" Smith (who had engineered the earlier Beatles recordings and produced Pink Floyd's The Piper at the Gates of Dawn) and house engineer Peter Mew, the group experimented with the latest sound technology, including the Mellotron and early electronic tone generators, often employing gadgets and techniques devised on the spot by Abbey Road's technicians. Phil May has emphatically stated that Smith was the only person at EMI who was fully supportive of the project, and that his technical expertise was invaluable to the ambitious, experimental sound of the album; May once even referred to Smith as a "sixth member" of the band. This attitude was in marked contrast to Pink Floyd's unhappiness with Smith.

Returning to England, the band hooked up with Twink forming The Pink Fairies, signing to Polydor and embarking upon a career centred on Ladbroke Grove, occasionally hooking up with Hawkwind for sets as Pinkwind. Recording two albums, Never Never Land and What a Bunch of Sweeties, Rudolph left immediately after the release of the second album to pursue other ventures, including a stint in Uncle Dog with Carol Grimes. He was invited by Roxy Music producer John Porter in early 1973 to participate in demo sessions for Sparks, before that band had found British musicians (Adrian Fisher, Martin Gordon and Dinky Diamond) for their UK re-launch. It was at the final Uncle Dog gig that he met former Roxy Music musician Brian Eno which would lead to him contributing to four of his albums in between 1973 and 1977, namely Here Come the Warm Jets, Another Green World, Music for Films and Before and After Science.

Honk and Renwick formed Quiver, but Honk soon left (briefly joining ex-Pink Fairies drummer Twink in the 'Last Minute Put Together Boogie Band' in Cambridge). Renwick continued with the band, which later joined up with the Sutherland Brothers, and he later recorded with Mike + The Mechanics and both Roger Waters and the David Gilmour-led Pink Floyd, as well as releasing a number of solo albums. Mick Wayne left for the USA after Junior's Eyes to back Joe Cocker, and spent a few years doing session work there before returning to London and joining a 1972 Steve Peregrin Took recording session along with Pink Fairies rhythm section Duncan Sanderson and Russell Hunter, whose band was temporarily defunct following the departure of guitarist Paul Rudolph. None of the tracks were completed to Took's satisfaction, due to what Wayne later described as "dope- induced thinking" and consequently, Wayne, Sanderson and Hunter formed a new incarnation of the Pink Fairies, releasing the single "Well, Well, Well" / "Hold On", as well as doing a radio session for BBC Radio One.

Rival Today FM broadcasters Ray D'Arcy (whose radio show aired during the same hours as Ryan's), Ian Dempsey and Tony Fenton were also present. One notable absentee was veteran broadcaster Gay Byrne who was abroad on "a long-standing arrangement to leave Ireland on Monday morning which I couldn't break". A man who resembled Elvis Presley stood outside the church, posing for photographs and holding a photograph of Ryan.

After seeing an advertisement for it in a nightclub bathroom, Tim and Eric decide to renovate the S'Wallow Valley Mall run by Damien Weebs (Will Ferrell), in the hopes that they will make back their billion-dollar debt. While trying to refurbish the mall, they must deal with vagrants such as a man-child named Taquito (John C. Reilly), bizarre stores (such as Reggie's Used Toilet Paper Discount Warehouse), and a man-eating wolf that stalks the food court. During their time at the S'Wallow Valley Mall, Tim and Eric also face many challenges, such as an angry shop owner named Allen Bishopman (Will Forte) who "doesn't want anything to change", and the fact that Eric is in love with Katie (Twink Caplan), a woman who works at the mall (whom Eric also compulsively masturbates to.) Because of this, Tim poisons Eric and ends up making love to Katie, whilst Eric goes to the Shrim Alternative Healing Center, run by Dr. Doone Struts (Ray Wise) to seek "spiritual healing", only to be placed in a bathtub which gets filled with diarrhea by Struts' sons as part of the "spiritual healing". After the event, Eric finds Tim sleeping with Katie and subsequently fights Tim.
