A second round of tests were run with an anthrax simulant, Bacillus globigii. The plant was pronounced water-tight by Nevius in April 1945 and trial runs with the simulant began in June.
On 8 November 2007, trainset 89, which had been shortened to about 200 m, set a Swiss land speed record for railed vehicles during trial runs for the ETCS cab signalling inside the Lötschberg Base Tunnel. The trainset reached 288 km/h. The trainset had a modified pantograph, but two of the eight traction motors had been disabled.

On 16.11.1989, after a few trial runs, Jaswant Singh Gill, Addl Chief Mining Engineer, risked his own life, and went down the bore hole in the capsule. The rescue operations started and the 65 trapped miners started coming up in the capsule, one-by-one. It took about 6 hours to complete the evacuation and the last person to come up was Jaswant Singh Gill.

Trial runs on the next section of metro, stage 2A from Nørreport to Frederiksberg, began on 24 February. It opened on 29 May 2003. All changes to bus and tin schedules in Copenhagen took place on 25 May, but to allow Queen Margrethe II to open the line, the opening needed to be adapted to her calendar. The electrification of 62 km long stretch of Dhuri to Jakhal on Ludhiana-Jakhal line was completed and trial runs were successfully carried out in July 2020.

Dhuri Junction railway station has electrified lines. Electrification of the Ludhiana to Dhuri line was completed in 2019. The electrification of 62 km long stretch of Dhuri(Punjab) - Jakhal(Haryana) on Ludhiana-Jakhal line was completed and trial runs were successfully carried out in July 2020. The 68 km long stretch from Dhuri station to Lehra Muhabbat station on Bathinda-Rajpura line was also completed in July 2020.
The first trial runs of trams along High Street were on 30 September 1905, with the system officially opening on 30 October of that year. Trams operated along High Street until 1952, when the trams in Fremantle were replaced by buses. The trams were taken out of service due to their economic costs and to relieve traffic congestion on roads. The last tram service operated was on 8 November 1952.
On April 25, 2005, a seven-car 207 series train on a Rapid service derailed and crashed into a building between Tsukaguchi and Amagasaki on its way for Doshisha-mae via the JR Tōzai Line and the Katamachi Line. 107 passengers were killed in the accident. Operations on the affected part of the line remained suspended until trial runs began on June 7, 2005. Passenger service resumed on June 19, 2005.
An extensive system of overhead wire ropeways to collect ore from mullock heaps and a dam in Bulluburrah Creek were some of the proposed constructions. The cost of installation was expected to be considerably over and required constant employment of 50 people, mostly skilled mechanics. After a few short and unsuccessful trial runs, the process plant was liquidated in 1913 because of the health hazards associated with the dry blowing process.
Most locomotives were used in southern Germany. Some also served in Silesia. This was achieved by distributing its 16 traction motors underneath the whole train. The train is licensed for and has reached on trial runs. On regular Intercity-Express services they run at up to , the maximum design speed of German high-speed lines.
The Met and the Metropolitan Board of Works managed to stem and divert the water and the construction was delayed by only a few months. A P8 depicted by German artist Hans Baluschek (1909). The P 8 could haul 300 t at and 400 t at on the flat and, after the world wars, could be found in almost the whole of Europe. The order to build the first 10 machines was issued to the firm of Schwartzkopff (later the Berliner Maschinenbau) in 1906. With up to 14 express coaches attached, the trial runs went brilliantly.
They features outdoor bays for the motorman and a cabin with wooden benches in the longitudinal direction. All units had seating for twenty passengers. The motorized vehicles had seating for fourteen, while the trailer had seating for twenty. Trial runs began in the tunneled section on 30 March 2017. Services at Sampige Road, Srirampura and Kuvempu Road stations were suspended between 13 and 22 March 2017 to allow authorities to conduct static and other tests and to link Sampige Road station with Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station. By early-August 2020, the casting cell and first Giga Press were substantially complete, having been assembled in the open air at the north end of the General Assembly building. Permits for the testing laboratory were filed during August 2020. () During September 2020 the first Giga Press at Fremont (DCM1) started producing trial runs of the Model Y single-piece rear casting, and the second Giga Press at Fremont (DCM2) had been installed.
Nevertheless, the LTA reversed its decision and made plans to install half-height platform screen doors on elevated stations on 25 January 2008. The first platform screen doors by ST Electronics were installed at Pasir Ris, Jurong East and Yishun stations in 2009 as trial runs. Subsequently, installation began in May 2011 at Ang Mo Kio station. On 14 March 2012, platform screen doors became operational at all elevated stations on the North South line.
Atlungstad Distillery The Atlungstad Distillery () is a distillery in Stange in Hedmark county, Norway. It was established in 1855 by a group of farmers. Regular distillation was discontinued in 2000, but trial runs were later carried out. In 2012, the distillery was added to the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage list of priority technical and industrial cultural heritage, after which NOK 7 million was allocated to restore the distillery to its former condition.
CR has proposed a service from to , giving a boost to commuters to and from Nasik, since there are currently only three Intercity trains to Manmad (Godavari Express, Panchvati Express and Manmad Rajya Rani Express) operating from Mumbai. This distance is 132 km regular, meeting the Indian Railways criteria for EMU services CR has announced that it will carry out trial runs, however it has difficulty due to the Kasara ghat tunnels.
Time would not allow this and the seal quickly failed once the trial runs were restarted. The recurring boiler problems prompted Ericsson and Braithwaite to withdraw from the Trials. Before it failed, the Stephensons were said to be seriously worried by Novelty, as it was well-suited to meet the conditions of the trial. For one thing the Stephensons considered the weight to be pulled to be too light for a practical railway.
Triplex in 1928, driven by Ray Keech An established motor-racing driver, Ray Keech, was engaged to drive. Initial trial runs were hazardous, with Keech being injured by burns during both: first from a burst radiator hose, then by exhaust flames from the front engine. The simplicity of the design also led to a farcical situation with the official scrutineers. The regulations required "means for reversing", which the White Triplex did not have.
The third generation of the ICE has a service speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and has reached speeds up to 363 km/h (226 mph). Unlike the Shinkansen in Japan, Germany has experienced a fatal accident on a high-speed service.

Construction of the underground section of Green Line required the use of 3,000 transit mixer loads of concrete. 1,000 km of cable had to be laid. Trial runs on the elevated section between National College and Yelachenahalli began on 23 November 2016. Trials were conducted between National College and Jayanagara initially at a speed of 10 km/h, and then along the entire elevated section between National College and Yelachenahalli at a speed of 25 km/h.
In the first, the helicopters were working in concert with in-place defensive forces, acting as additional anti- tank weapons. In the second, the goal was to delay an attacking force to give time for other forces to get into position to defend against them. In the third, the helicopters were being sent against a successful armored breakthrough with the goal being to kill as many vehicles as possible. A total of 60 trial runs were conducted.
A $10 million plan to restore service to Newtown and Pottstown using British Rail-Leyland diesel railbuses was considered, with a test run reaching Newtown on September 3. Though the trial runs were relatively successful, ride quality was lackluster. Burdened with ongoing budgetary problems, SEPTA decided against the purchase of the railbuses. In March 1987, SEPTA received several bids from private operators interested in running diesel-hauled trains to Newtown (as well as between Norristown and Pottstown).
There had been numerous delays in testing the MSMC for Indian Army trials, mostly due to the unclear requirements needed. The final version was provided to the Indian army for trials in August 2011 and the tests were supposed to last 7–8 months before induction into service. Trials pitted the weapon against the FN P90 and the HK MP7. The DRDO mentioned in a November 2013 newsletter that they reported user satisfaction during MSMC trial runs in 2013.

Gotthard railway line, April 2015, pulled by BLS Cargo Cargobeamer is an intermodal transport system. It involves specially designed pallets which can be carried on a road trailer; the pallets are fitted on top of flatcars but can slide sideways to allow trucks to drive on & off smoothly at intermodal terminals. The first terminal was opened in Leipzig in Germany; trial runs between Leipzig and Lithuania are planned in November 2010. Competing systems are offered by Modalohr and Cargospeed.
It had replaced bus route 12–Sandy Boulevard as TriMet's only service to and from the airport. C-Tran moved its bus service from Vancouver across the Columbia River from its connection at Gateway Transit Center to Parkrose/Sumner Transit Center. Although tested during trial runs, TriMet opted to omit luggage racks from Red Line trains to maximize rider capacity. By November 2001, ridership averaged 2,300 riders and peaked at 3,800 riders a day before Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
It then operated trial runs with passengers. The testing process revealed certain incompatibilities between modern vehicles and the TEŽ's then outdated track and power systems. The latter therefore required some conversion work, including reprofiling of the lines in some sections, reconstruction of the platforms across the network, and also adjustments to the power system to enable it to benefit from the new vehicles' regenerative brakes. In August 2010, the NHL held an "R & D camp" at the Toronto Maple Leafs’ practice facility, where rule changes under consideration were given trial runs. Scrimmages at the camp, featuring some top players eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, experimented with changes such as two-on-two overtime, shallower goal nets, a referee viewing the play from an elevated off-ice platform, and a rink with three face-off circles instead of the traditional five.
After fitting out, trial runs, and training, Pogy arrived Pearl Harbor 5 April 1943. On 15 April she set out for her patrol area along the eastern coast of Honshū, making her first contact 1 May. Her periscope attack on a convoy of five ships with one escort sank ex-gunboat Keishin Maru, and damaged a small freighter. Upon surfacing that night, Pogy attacked a destroyer with three torpedoes, but was unable to observe the results.
In 1898 a one-off was delivered by Hanomag to the Prussian state railways. The economy of the superheated system was soon proven in 1899 by the engine during trial runs from Kassel. Apart from a short stay at Halle the engine was assigned to Kassel as Cassel 131 and, from 1906, as P 4 Cassel 1846\. In 1921, after the First World War, the engine was mothballed, along with many other machines of similar class.

Since the company has an all- diesel fleet, management is working to reroute trains to Trondheim and Northern Norway along the Røros Line instead of the Dovre Line. CargoNet and Ofotbanen had been using the Dovre Line because it is electrified, giving lower operating costs despite its elevation, higher than the Røros Line. After initial trial runs with only three locomotives, full service was introduced later in November.

On March 24, 1988, following a test run, it was rear-ended by another streetcar on the test track and suffered extensive damage. It was scrapped in 1997. The 52 production ALRV cars were built by UTDC using bogies and articulations supplied by MAN SE of Germany.
Avery Island steamed to the Atlantic Basin Iron Works, Brooklyn, New York, where she was placed out of commission on Christmas Eve for conversion work. Avery Island was recommissioned on 31 July 1945 at the New York Navy Yard; conducted trial runs in Long Island Sound and shakedown training in Chesapeake Bay; and underwent a yard availability at Norfolk, Virginia. With her training period complete, Avery Island reported on 6 September to Service Force, Atlantic Fleet, for duty.
In the first year, the line will be operated by DMRC. The line connects to Delhi Metro at Noida Sector 51 station. Foundation for the NMRC project was laid down in October 2014, with the construction being commenced by the end of December 2014 by then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav. Trial runs started in August 2018, and the metro was inaugurated on 25 January 2019 by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.
In February 1991, unit 2 was automatically shut down following a sudden drop in oil pressure inside the steam turbine. On 18 July 1997, radioactive steam leaked from a gauge within unit 7 of the Kashiwazaki kariwa plant. In May a burst tube had delayed trial runs at the plant, and earlier in July smoke had been found coming from plant machinery. In January 1998, unit 1 was shut down after increasing radiation levels in the steam driving the turbine triggered alarms.

Unionsexpressen ("The Union Express") was an intercity train service provided between Oslo and Stockholm, the capitals of Norway and Sweden. The first-class only service was operated by company Unionsexpressen Scandinavian Railway AB, while haulage and Norwegian representation was operated by Ofotbanen. In 2005, the state-owned SJ and Norges Statsbaner (NSB) cooperation Linx closed services on the Oslo–Stockholm route. The first trial runs of the Unionsexpressen started on 11 April 2008, with regular service commencing on 15 June.
Construction of the extension from Bekkestua to Haslum in 1922 In 1912, Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei started working on plans to extend the street tram Skøyen Line towards Bestum or Øraker. The application for the section from Skøyen to Lilleaker was sent in 1913 and concession was granted in July 1915. Construction began immediately, trial runs were made on 8 May 1919 and the line opened the following day. In 1917, two proposals were made for a suburban tram line further north.
Assigned to Submarine Division 17 on commissioning, S-40 operated off southern California until January 1924, when she proceeded to Panama, thence continued into the Caribbean Sea. After shakedown, Hogan arrived at San Diego on 21 November to join the Pacific Destroyer Force. From 23 November to 6 February 1920 she sailed in company with her division and engaged in fleet maneuvers, patrol duty, torpedo exercises and target practice along the California coast. On 25 March she departed for Hawaii, where she operated for the next month. Originally scheduled for 2006, the official launch of driverless operation had to be pushed back to 2008 due to technical difficulties and mechanical problems, which resulted in the return of two prototype DT3 sets to the supplier Siemens. Fully automatic trial runs on line U2 began on January 13, 2009, while the trains were already in automatic revenue service on line U3. A second batch of 14 DT3 trains was ordered in 2008.

MovieQuik, often misreported in the news as Movie Quik, was a VHS video and VCR rental service offered inside 7-Eleven stores, a division of Southland Corporation, based in the United States and provided by MovieQuik Systems, another fully owned division of Southland during the late 1980s. The Tonawandas corridor would operate from LaSalle station northwesterly to the City of Tonawanda using the abandoned Erie Railroad tracks. The NFTA purchased 12 Presidents' Conference Committee (PCC) streetcars in the 1980s to serve the Tonawanda turn-out, a proposed Metro Rail extension to Tonawanda and North Tonawanda. These cars were built by the St. Louis Car Company and acquired by Cleveland, Ohio's Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority second-hand in 1953. It was determined after initial trial runs that the PCCs were too wide for existing station platforms and the plan was abandoned.

On 13 August 1980, locomotive number 120 002 set a new world speed record of 231 km/h for rotary current locomotives between Celle and Uelzen.
It was also tested extensively on the Midland Main Line out of London St. Pancras and on the Old Dalby Test Track, where in January 1976 it attained a speed of . The unit was only intended for testing and was never used in ordinary public service, although it did carry office staff and the occasional dignitaries on trial runs. When its period of testing was complete, in June 1976, it was sent to the National Railway Museum, York for preservation. It is now based at the NRM's Locomotion museum in Shildon.
In April 1923, the Nairns made the first of six trial runs from Damascus to Baghdad. The first trip took them three days for a journey of 880 kilometers (550 miles) using a Buick, an Oldsmobile and a Lancia. Having demonstrated the feasibility of the plan, Norman Nairn proposed to British officials in Baghdad that the brothers start a postal service between Damascus and Baghdad. The British agreed, as did the French in Damascus, and the French even provided gold to pay-off desert tribes to ensure safe transit.
Lee, Jenkin and Alex Moumbaris escaped from Pretoria Prison in 1979, after meticulous planning and trial runs. The escape is described in great detail by Jenkin's book, Escape from Pretoria (1987, 2003). Although Jenkin and Moumbaris contributed most towards the preparations for and material necessities of the plan, Lee was firmly behind their thinking and assisted in whatever ways he could. After escaping, Lee separated for some weeks from the others, staying with friends in Johannesburg before meeting up with them again at Luanda airport to fly out of Angola.

A four car pre-production test train was built to test the train sub-systems and compatibility with the Sydney suburban network. This was intended to allow any issues with the train to be corrected before the production trains entered service. The test train was expected to perform trial runs from mid 2009, but did not begin network testing until April 2010. The pre-production train concluded testing in August 2010. The first production set began network testing in August 2010 and by November 2010, three sets were undergoing testing.

The event was founded by Sten-Otto Liljedahl, a physician specialising in sports medicine; he was team doctor for the Swedish national football side from 1957 to 1970. He developed the idea of cycling around Lake Vättern while spending his summers in Motala, monitoring the effects of training, nutrition and exertion on the individuals participating in his trial runs. In 2011, at the start of the main event, the organisers unveiled a statue in Liljedahl's memory. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was cancelled in its 2020 edition.
After testing and the trial runs with DB the locomotives returned to MaK. The three units were leased via Traffic Krupp GmbH whilst MaK was under Krupp ownership, being on hire to DBAG in the early 1990s. In 1994 MaK changed hands - becoming part of Siemens as Siemens Schienenfahrzeugtechnik, the locomotives were withdrawn from DB service in 1996, and were subsequently leased to Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln (HGK) and given the numbers EN 11, 12 and 13. The first unit suffered a fire in one of the bogies in 2008, writing the locomotive off.
The purchase was financed by Liverpool City Region and the rolling stock is publicly owned by Merseytravel. The rolling stock renewal has led to various infrastructure changes on the network, including the lengthening of platforms, reprofiling of track sections, installation of Wi-Fi equipment throughout, and additional electrical supply gear. Following the completion of manufacturer trials conducted overseas during late 2019, the first Class 777 was delivered to Merseytravel during January 2020. Two months later, the trainset commenced trial runs, active service runs are planned for the near future.

Elevated station on Amager – Ørestad Station Trial runs on stage 2A began on 24 February 2003 and opened on 29 May. All changes to bus and train schedules in Copenhagen took place on 25 May, but to allow Queen Margrethe II to open the line, the opening needed to be adapted to her calendar. This caused four days without a bus service along the line. Stage 2B, from Frederiksberg to Vanløse, opened on 12 October. Forum Station was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture in 2005.
The ITO metro station is the last station to be opened individually before the entire corridor is commissioned in 2016. Part of the 'Heritage Line', the station is followed by stations - Delhi Gate metro station, Jama Masjid metro station, Lal Qila metro station and Kashmere Gate metro station. The station was finished in September 2014 and trial runs began in December 2014. However, operations on the 971-metre section between Mandi House and ITO were not started as safety inspection could not be carried out as per provisions of the Metro Railway General Rules.
Trevithick claimed that Catch Me Who Can could travel over in that time. The locomotive was reported to have reached a top speed of on the circular track and Trevithick was of the opinion that it was capable of on straight track. Operation of Catch Me Who was hindered by the soft ground that the track was laid on. Trial runs began around 24 July 1808, but almost immediately the ground under the track sank, causing the iron rails to break as the 8-ton locomotive passed over them.
The works were located on One Mile Creek, about downstream from King's New Mill. Schemes were proposed for connecting the mill to the Great Extended Mine by a wire tramway and for constructing a pumping engine at Rocky Point on Elphinstone Creek with underground pipes to a reservoir to ensure sufficient water supply to the mill. However, apart from trial runs, the works never treated a single ton of ore for export and they were sold to the Mount Albion Silver Mining Company, operating at Montalbion near Irvinebank, and dismantled at the end of 1891.

Under LSWR ownership, the N15s were initially well received by crews, though the batch soon gained a reputation for poor steaming on long runs. Through running of the class into Exeter was stopped in favour of engine changes at Salisbury, and Urie attributed the problem to poor driving technique. A series of trial runs changed this assumption, and demonstrated that steam pressure gradually decreased on the flat. The trials also revealed that the robust construction of the motion produced the heaviest hammerblow of any British locomotive class, and had caused cracked frames on the test locomotive.

The first trip to the Queen's Park was carried out on 17 February and the first run to Jernbanetorget was completed on 20 February.
The service was modernised and continued as Keighley Corporation Tramways. The route began operations with electric trams on 24 September 1901, with trial runs to Ingrow taking place the week before. The hub of the system was opposite the Mechanics Institute in the town where a triangular junction was in operation to allow trams to access all three destinations from any of the routes that they were originating from. The system from Ingrow to Utley was electrified and a branch was added to connect Keighley railway station, Victoria Park and Stockbridge some east of the town.

After fitting out, G-4 proceeded to the New York Navy Yard on 25 April for service with Division Three, Submarine Flotilla, Atlantic Fleet. Based on plans purchased from Italian designer Cesare Laurenti, G-4 was an even keel boat, meaning the round pressure hull was flat on the bottom. When surrounded by a streamlined outer hull, the boat was theoretically more stable than the earlier Holland-type boats. The different equipment and operating procedures meant G-4 spent the next five months conducting trial runs and diving tests, many of which failed owing to engine machinery breakdown.

The construction of the plant began in the autumn of 2011, the cornerstone was laid in May, 2012, and trial runs of the plant began in March, 2014, when the first batches of waste were burned. The waste burned in the incinerator is collected from the Uusimaa Province, from an area that extends from Hanko to Porvoo and from Helsinki to Nurmijärvi. The plant receives between 100 and 150 loads of waste every day. They are delivered to it by HSY (‘Helsinki area environmental services’) from the metropolitan area and by Rosk’n Roll Oy from Uusimaa.
In general the advantage of three-cylinder locomotives lies in their more powerful torque and a better balance of the rotating masses, which leads to lower wear and tear. The disadvantage is a higher fuel consumption due to the three steam engines. This was true in the case of 114.01 which in comparison with locomotive 214.01 had a 9% higher consumption of coal. Difficult access to the inside gear and the associated poor maintainability of locomotive 114.01, combined with the fact that 214.01 did better in the trial runs, led to the 214s going into series production.
Despite its problems, the locomotive displayed outstanding steaming characteristics and total traction from the two power bogies on its trial runs. When properly fired, the Leader was capable of keeping up with the schedules, even running ahead on occasions. However, operational difficulties when stopping for water tended to lose any time advantages gained and affected the published performance figures. Despite hauling test trains over the Central Section of the former Southern Railway, the Leader prototype was never used on a revenue-earning service because of the risk of failure of the valve gear and the adverse publicity this would cause for British Railways.
He proved his worth in Indy Lights by winning four races (in his one and only season), and looked to be Mexico's next big star (the first since Héctor Rebaque and Josele Garza). Fernandez would contest his first full season after five trial runs in 1993 (including 7th at Detroit). Team and driver would also use the brand new Reynard 94I; the company entering IndyCar racing as a first- time constructor. Chip Ganassi Racing hired "prodigal son" Michael Andretti, who was ready to return to winning ways after the 1993 Formula One season left a bitter taste in his mouth.
The strategic reserve was made up of surplus steam locomotives, preserved in usable condition to replace diesel-powered vehicles if the import of oil was interrupted. In the 1960s, some trial runs were done with locomotives from the strategic reserve, including the A class, and the outcome of these trials was that SJ decided to remove all steam locomotives except the B, E, E2 and E10 classes from the reserve. Number 1008 was the last member of the A class in use when it did a trial run in 1968. All the rebuilt A class locomotives were scrapped between 1969 and 1972.
Both Pontypridd Council and the neighbouring Rhondda Council had their own plans to build and operate electric tramways. In Pontypridd, work began in July 1903, and in August, they were able to use their statutory powers to buy the horse tramway. although the actual sale did not take place until 11 October 1904, when British Electric Traction received £5,750 for it, after which is was divided between the two councils, with the change in ownership occurring at Trehafod. Progress on the new line was good, and the first trial runs were made on 12 February 1905, with an official opening scheduled for March.
The play rights were quickly sold, but it took over two years to reach the stage. One script was rejected, and a new one was written by Jack Kirkland, (calling play "much-postponed" but now due for "an early 1948 opening") known for his great success with Tobacco Road. The original world premiere of the play was set for March 12, 1949 at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, California, but it was banned once designated "in bad taste". Since the partition of India in 1947, travel restrictions were imposed and most road and railway links shut off. Following the example of the Samjhauta Express that was launched in 1976, the bus service was launched to permit divided families to visit relatives and to foster commerce and tourism. The bus service launch was a key element in the efforts of the Indian and Pakistani governments to improve frosty and tense relations with Pakistan, especially in the aftermath of the 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests and the immediate Pakistani response of the Chaghai Hills tests. The bus had made its trial runs on 8 and 14 January, carrying officials of both governments.
The passenger-only ferry service, approved by voters in 2016, was preceded by one operated by Washington State Ferries between 1986 and 2003. This state-run system ceased operations after a class-action lawsuit forced its vessels to slow down when traveling through Rich Passage to reduce wake damage. Kitsap Transit briefly operated its own passenger ferries from 2004 to 2007, but failed to receive voter approval for two sales tax funding measures. Up to an additional US$90 million could be used to support countries to introduce the vaccines and to rebuild and restore immunisation services for all vaccines in Ebola-affected countries. In December 2016, it was announced that an experimental Ebola vaccine produced by Merck was found to be "highly protective" against the virus after trial runs involving 11,000 people in Guinea.
As Transportation Commissioner, Eudaly spearheaded the Rose Lane Project. Announced in June 2019, the Rose Lane Project was designed in response to the Enhanced Transit Corridors Plan (ETC), which was adopted by City Council on June 20, 2018. On 2 December 1943, she was underway to Bermuda for further training and shakedown, returning to Boston Navy Yard on 10 January 1944 for minor repairs. Underhill returned on 30 May 1944 to Boston Navy Yard, where her torpedo tubes were removed and replaced with Bofors 40-millimeter antiaircraft guns.
1956 Spatz The ' (German for sparrow), later renamed the Victoria 250', is a four-wheeled microcar that was built between 1956 and 1958. The car was originally conceived by Egon Brütsch as the Brütsch 200 "Spatz" a Fiberglass three-wheeler with the suspension of the front wheels and the rear wheel attached directly to the body shell. As such the car's engineering proved unsound and trial runs on rough roads led to severe cracks in the bodywork. Harald Friedrich, managing partner of Alzmetall P. Meier & Friedrich GmbH in Altenmarkt an der Alz, acquired the license from Brütsch to build the "Spatz" and in July 1956 with the Victoria works as a partner, founded the GmbH (BAG) in Traunreut.

A locomotive of the type tested on the Rhaetian Railway, in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia RhB G 4-5 Nr. 107 "Albula" in Untervaz-Trimmis As early as 1902, the SLM manufactured two four-coupled saturated steam locomotives for the Imperial Railway Company of Ethiopia. In the same year, trial runs using one of these locomotives were carried out on the Rhaetian Railway. The positive results of these tests led the Board of the Rhaetian Railway to order four largely identical machines, at a price of 61,500 Swiss Francs per unit. On 11 June 1868, the Enz Railway was opened, following several trial runs during the previous two months. There were calls for platform screen doors (PSDs) to be installed at above-ground stations after several incidents in which passengers were killed or seriously injured by oncoming trains when they fell onto the railway tracks at above-ground stations. The authorities initially rejected the proposal by casting doubts over functionality and concerns about the high installation costs, but made an about-turn later with the government announcing plans to install half-height platform screen doors on the elevated stations on 25 January 2008, citing lower costs due to its becoming a more common feature worldwide. Following trial runs in Long Island Sound, Blue Ridge departed New York on 8 October 1943, to train in the Chesapeake Bay Area out of Norfolk, Virginia. She served as the command ship for amphibious operations westward along the New Guinea Coast until 13 October 1944.

The use of the reserve locomotives was mostly limited to a few trial runs, but harsh weather in the winter of 1965-1966 meant that an unusually large number of electric locomotives were out of service, and B, E and E2 class locomotives in the reserve were reactivated to haul trains on the electrified lines from Alvesta to Kalmar and Karlskrona. The B class, together with the E, E2 and E10 classes, remained in the strategic reserve after most other types had been scrapped in the 1970s. Most of the locomotives were placed in sealed plastic bags with dehumidifiers to reduce the need of maintenance. A large number of B class locomotives were preserved in that manner until all steam locomotives were removed from the strategic reserve in 1990.

By the time that Eurostar services became operational through the Channel Tunnel in 1994, it was decided that regional Eurostar services from Manchester (via the West Coast Main Line) and Glasgow (via the East Coast Main Line) to Paris and Brussels were not economic to run, due to their long journey times compared to air travel: Manchester-Paris and Glasgow-Paris. However, the depots and trains had all but been completed, by this time, and trial runs operated on both main lines. The Manchester International Depot, with signs saying "Le Eurostar habite ici" and other Eurostar branding, stood empty and unused for almost ten years. The area of Nierenhof station was the location of the terminus of the Deil Valley Coal Railway (Deilthaler Kohlenbahn), the line of the first German railway company (founded in 1828 by Friedrich Harkort and later renamed the Prince William Railway Company (Prinz-Wilhelm-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft), which was laid next to the Deilbach from Nierenhof to Hinsbeck to serve the coal mines in the Deilbach valley, including the mine in Nierenhof. The narrow-gauge railway with iron rails was to be steam-powered, which would have made it the first steam railway in Germany. Nevertheless, the concession issued by the district government did not initially allow steam operation, even though successful trial runs were carried out. After its opening by Prince Wilhelm of Prussia on 20 September 1831, the railway was initially operated as a horse-drawn tramway for freight, although occasional passenger services soon began.
Rodman experimented for almost a decade at the Fort Pitt Foundry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, testing his theory and performing trial runs of his cannon barrels. After viewing the results, the U.S. War Department approved construction of a fifteen-inch smoothbore columbiad of Rodman's design in 1859.
