The images in the Dark Matter series appear to be growing off the canvas, and, like her earlier abstract paintings, they appear to be covering and uncovering at once, the mysteries dwelling below the visible surfaces of this world.

In studies, neurotrophic factors are normally used in conjunction with other techniques such as biological and physical cues created by the addition of cells and specific topographies. On June 16, 1959, a petition was filed and on July 13, the village became incorporated. The first election was held later on that summer on August 2. Data collected includes fish counts by visual census in a 5m x 5m corridor on both sides of the transect line (Method 1), mobile invertebrate counts in a 1m corridor on both sides of the line (Method 2), and photo-quadrats at 2.5m intervals along the 50m transect line. Manufactured debris may also be recorded.

The neural source of the visual P2 is difficult to ascertain given the limited spatial resolution of the ERP technique. Since the recordings obtained from the scalp reflect only the dipole moments created by post- synaptic potential changes, they are subject to several factors including orientation, magnitude, and number of generator dipoles. Thus, the observed topographies of the P2 observed in experimental conditions may not be indicative of their true source. It is thought that the visual P2 encompasses both a frontal and a posterior source component; in particular some of the neural activity may originate from the visual cortex in the occipital region, while the similar auditory P2 is likely generated at least in part in the auditory cortex in the temporal region and the reticular activating system.

Born in 1840, Potier entered the École Polytechnique at age 17, where in 1867 he became a physics teacher, and then in 1881 full Professor of Physics, succeeding Jamin and preceding Nobel Laureate Henri Becquerel. He contributed extensive notes to JC Maxwell’s treatise on electromagnetism, facilitating its reading in France.

Example landforms near Grand Canyon Village, are Pattie Butte-(Newton Butte), Tower of Set, (due west of Isis Temple), and Brahma Temple's southern Redwall Limestone points, Johnson and Sturdevant Points, due east of Isis Temple. Fossils of plant material, marine shells, where some fossils may have been 'derived fossils' from the Redwall Limestone, are found in the formation; also fossil logs, showing the erosion, or valley and canyon topographies and the erosional forces of the time period. Besides the easily recognized locations of the Surprise Canyon Formation on the Redwall Limestone platforms, it is found in more vertical sequences where the lowest Supai Group member, the Watahomigi Formation, major sub-unit 1 of 4, transitions, and sits upon the Surprise Canyon, upon the Redwall Limestone. As stated, the Surprise Canyon in the Grand Canyon Village region is discontinuous, but occurs in all sub-sections, further explaining a many- channeled paleo-surface of the eroding Redwall Limestone.

O'Brien's uncle Turlough O’Brien was a publicist for the Home Office and then the Post Office.

O'Hanlon was very interested in local history and folklore, and when he returned to Ireland much of his writing concerned these topics. Among his first publications in Ireland were two letters, from 1856, published in the Journal of the Kilkenny and South-East of Ireland Archaeological Society, urging the usefulness of the records of the Ordnance Survey in the Phoenix Park for studying the history of the neighbouring counties of Kilkenny and his native Laois. The usefulness of the Ordnance Survey and the importance of local histories and topographies were constant themes for O'Hanlon and he would write twenty further bulletins about the Ordnance Survey and the histories of other counties in Ireland. Laois (which was known as Queen's County until 1922, but was always associated with the medieval kingdom of Loígis or Leix) was always of particular interest to O'Hanlon and he worked on a two-volume History of the Queen's County (although this was only posthumously published in 1907), published articles on the "Old Churches of Leix" in the Irish Builder during the 1880s, and collected the works of Laois patriot, balladeer and mythologist John Keegan, while the best known of his own poems is the "Land of Leix".
