Russell made his first grade debut for St. George Illawarra in round 10 of the 2004 NRL season against Canterbury-Bankstown at WIN Stadium with the match finishing in a 38-12 loss. Callaway made his first grade debut for Illawarra in Round 10 1991 against Manly-Warringah at WIN Stadium. In 1997, Callaway made 15 appearances as Illawarra reached the finals by finishing 6th. Callaway played in their elimination final defeat against the Gold Coast. In 1998, Callaway made 19 appearances in what would prove to be Illawarra's final season in the top grade.

Stan Browne (born 17 May 1962) is an Australian teacher, education administrator and former first grade rugby league player. As a student Browne attended Marist College Pagewood where he was chosen in their Rugby League Team of the Half Century. Browne appeared in 74 top grade matches between 1982 and 1986. He went on to become marketing director for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

After a stint in the Penrith Panthers feeder club, the Windsor Wolves in 2012, with the team reaching second on the NSW Cup ladder, Taumata played his first rugby league game at the top grade level in almost two years, on 17 June 2012, for the Penrith Panthers against the Gold Coast Titans. Taumata scored a try in the 59th minute of the Round 15 game - his first try at the top grade level for the Panthers. This was also Taumata's debut appearance for the club at first grade level.

Nable played in the club's final top grade game as a stand-alone entity which was against the Canberra Raiders at Bruce Stadium in Round 26 1999. Balmain lost the match 42-14. At the end of 1999, Balmain merged with fellow foundation club Western Suburbs to form the Wests Tigers. Nable was one of the Balmain players chosen to represent the new side.

The function followed a Past Players Day, when the newly created Steve Pascoe Cup was fought out between rivals Warrandyte and Norwood, where Pascoe is a life member at both clubs. Dunnamaggin were relegated from the senior championship shortly after this victory, however, the club qualified for the final of the intermediate championship again in 2000.

A Referees Conference is organised on a biennial basis. The Rules Commission continually monitors the rules of the sport and makes recommendations for change. Whitbread began the season playing for the Burleigh Bears in the Queensland Cup. In round 18 of the 2018 NRL season, Whitbread made his NRL debut for the Gold Coast against the Sydney Roosters. This would be Whitbread's only top grade appearance for the club in 2018. The Gold Coast would go on to finish in 14th position on the table at the end of the season.

Ryan took Newtown from being a struggling outfit to being premiership contenders by 1981. Newtown would eventually reach the 1981 NSWRL grand final against Parramatta but Doyle missed the match due to injury. Newtown would go on to be defeated 20-11 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Doyle played 13 games for Newtown in 1983 which would prove to be the club's last in the top grade of Australian rugby league.

Gu Zhu Violet Shoot had been an imperial tribute tea since the Tang dynasty for nearly nine hundred years until the middle of the Qin dynasty. Gu Zhu Violet Shoot was revived again in the 1970s as a top grade tea in China.

While attending Fairfield Patrician Brothers, Langmack captained the Australian Schoolboys team in 1982. Langmack won three premierships as a member of the Canterbury Bulldogs in 1984, 1985 and 1988, and later played for and captained the Western Suburbs Magpies. In 1987, he became the youngest player in history to register 100 top-grade games at the age of 22 years 26 days. Langmack was named Rugby League Week's player of the year in 1992.

Pandit Hota started learning music from his father Gopinath Hota, who was skilled in Odissi music as practised in the Jaga-Akhadas of Puri and the Jagannath Temple.

The powerfully built centre joined the Eastern Suburbs club straight out of school. After just a handful of lower grade games Brown was promoted to the top grade. The following year aged just eighteen Brown was selected to represent his state – New South Wales in 3 interstate matches against Queensland. Soon after the teenager lost all his hair, after contracting a virus while swimming and took to wearing a hairpiece to cover his baldness.

In 1985, Salvatori was graded by Eastern Suburbs from the Nelson Hotel club and he first broke into the top grade in 1986. During his time with Easts, Salvatori played more than 100 matches for the club, many as captain. Salvatori was a large and 'fiery' front row forward but he possessed skill and some pace, scoring 21 tries. In the 1991 season Salvatori won the Dally M award for Front rower of the Year.

Kennedy first tasted success with Dunnamaggin in 1994. That year the club faced Blacks and Whites in the final of the junior championship. A 2-9 to 1-10 victory gave Kenendy a Kilkenny Junior Hurling Championship medal. Dunnamaggin's first year in the intermediate grade saw the club reach the final. A 2-21 to 1-9 trouncing of Bennettsbridge gave Kennedy a championship medal and secured promotion to the top grade for the club.

Between 2001 and 2003 Milford played for the Pia Donkeys, and in 2001 he played in the final of the Lord Derby Cup. In 2002, Milford played for the Cabramatta Two Blues in the Jim Beam Cup. Milford's final game in the top grade came in Round 19 2003 which was against the New Zealand Warriors at Shark Park.

Cerro Bolívar is a mountain in the state of Bolívar, Venezuela, about 600 metres high. It has been described as "the richest concentration of iron ore on the face of the earth." At the time of its discovery it promised to outdo the great Hull-Rust-Mahoning mine in Hibbing, Minnesota, USA. More than half the mountain is thought to consist of top-grade iron ore – anything up to half a billion tons.

Graham Mackay (born 12 October 1968) is an Australian former international and state representative rugby league footballer whose club career spanned Ten Australian and English clubs, including Western Suburbs, Penrith, Gold Coast Chargers, Hull FC and the Ipswich Jets in a sixteen-year top grade career. His position of choice was on the , though he played later in his career. Mackay competed in and won the Gladiator Individual Sports Athletes Challenge in 1995.

In 1937, it made an attempt to rejoin the VFA as a full member; however, it was thought that a second Ballarat-based team would be required to ensure that one VFA game could be played in Ballarat each weekend, and no willing co-applicant could be found. The club went into recess during World War II, and although it played B-Grade football for a period of time after the war, it never returned to top grade.

Ngerng attended the now-defunct Hong Dao Primary School for a few years then transferred to Ang Mo Kio Primary School. He later studied at Mayflower Secondary School and then Serangoon Junior College before going to the National University of Singapore to major in sociology. Sajjad Hussain (15 June 1917, Sitamau - 21 July 1995) was an Indian film score composer. He was also an accomplished mandolinist, playing the mandolin as a "Top Grade" player for the Indian film industry in Mumbai for more than five decades, reputed to have played more than 22,000 songs, including title-songs and background music. Besides the music for movies, he was known to play Indian classical music (Hindustani), as well as Arabic music and Sufi music.

Brian Julian O'Neill (born 14 October 1972) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. Primarily a goal-kicking or and goal-kicker, during his 14-year top-grade career he played with several clubs in both Australia and England, which included two NSWRL premierships, a Challenge Cup victory as well as state and national representative honours. However O'Neill also regularly made headlines for his involvement in numerous controversial off-field incidents.

Sherwin played for Canterbury-Bankstown from 1999 to 2007. He was almost successful in obtaining the Dally M Award in 2002 but was narrowly beaten by Andrew Johns, despite Johns gaining points for a game in which he was sent off. While he occasionally was demoted for poor form, Sherwin played a vital role in Canterbury's 2002 17-game winning streak and the 2004 premiership win. A handy goalkicker, Sherwin was the top grade half from 2002-2007.

Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer Subramanian (born 23 October 1944) is a veena player in the Karaikudi Veena Tradition. He is the grandson of Karaikudi Subbarama Iyer and adoptive son of Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer. Karaikudi Subramanian has been designated the title "Top-Grade artist" by All India Radio and has performed numerous radio concerts as well as live concerts at various venues around the world. He has performed with fellow veena player Ranganayaki Rajagopalan and his sister Rajeswari Padmanabhan, both disciples of Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer.

Growing up in Putāruru, Smith played for Waikato Secondary Schools in 1974, then worked his way up to the province's colt and B teams. He studied at Waikato University in Hamilton while playing club rugby in Putaruru, and in 1978 he was on the bench for one top grade Waikato match. "Frustrated" after that season, he decided to look for opportunities elsewhere, and moved to Canterbury where Belfast became his second (and final) club. On 17 April 2004, the Hurling Development Committee's proposal to restructure the entire championship system was endorsed by Congress. The new format resulted in a three-tier championship. In the top grade 12 teams would compete for the Liam MacCarthy Cup, with the first round losers and beaten semi-finalists from Leinster and Munster joining Antrim and Galway in a league section split into two groups. The group winners would re-enter the championship at the All-Ireland quarter-final stage, meeting the losing provincial finalists.

Leo Senior (1887−1975) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1900s. He played four matches for South Sydney in the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership in his career and scored three tries in the same year. He is most credited for scoring the first try in an NSWRL/NRL Grand Final in the inaugural NSWRL Final in 1908. His try strike rate was 0.75 (3 from 4 top grade appearances) one of the highest in the league's inaugural season.

Arthur Kitinas (born 29 November 1959) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s, and coached in the 2000s. He played in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. A , Kitinas came through the lower grades at Sydney's Eastern Suburbs club playing in just 1 top grade match in 1977 before joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs the following season. The established hookers at the South Sydney club, Test player George Piggins along with Ken Stewart, saw the promising young Kitinas play very little first grade at that club either.

Tatsuo Suzuki as a child had a keen interest in kendo and judo, and at the age of 14, he began studying karate, under Hironori Ōtsuka, the founder of Wado Ryu karate. After six years of studying karate Tatsuo Suzuki obtained his 3ºDan, and in 1951 he was awarded 5th Dan, the top grade in Wado Ryu at that time. Complementing the karate he is 2ºDan in Tenshin Horyu Bojutsu and 1º Dan in judo. He also studied Zen doctrine with the high priest Genpo Yamamoto and Soyen Nakagawa.

The Waverley men's team first played in the top grade in 1974. With increasing development in the Waverley area, it was felt that the title of "Mount Waverley Hockey Club" was inappropriate, so in February 1964, the club was renamed the "Waverley Hockey Club". The first junior team was entered in 1961, numbers increased rapidly to five in 1969, ten in 1974, twelve in 1981, and have now stabilised at nineteen. The junior teams consist of girls, boys and mixed teams ranging from under 9 to under 17.

The LJ Hooker League is a cricket competition on the NSW Far North Coast comprising teams from the Ballina, Casino, Lismore and Tweed District Cricket Associations. The League was established in 1994/95 and superseded the top- grade of the Ballina, Casino and Lismore District Competitions. After 13 seasons, in 2007 the Tweed District Cricket Association asked to join the league to form a larger 16-team competition. The Ballina clubs voted unanimously to join with the Tweed based clubs, but this was rejected by some Lismore-based teams.

In addition to his position as Director of the Centre for Biomedical Computing, he held several leading roles within the field of Scientific Computing in his time at the lab. Verrills made his NRL debut in round 6 of the 2019 NRL season for the Sydney Roosters against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park. In Round 20 against the Gold Coast, Verrills scored his first try in the top grade as the Sydney Roosters won the match 58–6 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. In his debut year Verrills played his first grand final at ANZ Stadium with the Sydney Roosters and won his first premiership. The match was contested between defending premiers the Sydney Roosters and the Canberra Raiders.

The Club entered 3rd Grade in 1919, Reserve Grade in 1920, and then First Grade in 1921. The club did not have to wait long to win their maiden First Grade title and start a history of strong and respected local rugby league teams. 1922, the year of this first victory, also became the first of three consecutive First Grade titles for "The Blacks". The Club won five First Grade titles before adding a single white vee to their playing strip. The first top grade premiership in this jersey was won in 1934.

Rudolf spent the entirety of 2019 playing for Cronulla's feeder club side Newtown where he won the 2019 Canterbury Cup NSW premiership and the 2019 NRL State Championship final. Rudolf made his NRL debut in round 1 of the 2020 NRL season for Cronulla-Sutherland against South Sydney. In round 18 of the 2020 NRL season, Rudolf scored his first try in the top grade in Cronulla's 22-14 victory over the New Zealand Warriors at Kogarah Oval. The victory meant Cronulla qualified for the finals at New Zealand's expense.

Barnes made his first grade debut for Newtown against South Sydney in Round 3 1983 at Henson Park playing from the bench in a 36-10 victory. Barnes played 20 games for Newtown in 1983 which would prove to be the club's last in the top grade of Australian rugby league. Barnes played in Newtown's final ever match in the NSWRL premiership, scoring a try in a 9-6 victory over the Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Stadium. Following Newtown's ejection from the premiership for financial reasons, Barnes signed with Eastern Suburbs.

CHS received a top grade of five or "most effective" on all four composite grades on the one, two and three-year trends on the TCAP/EOC/SAT 10. In 2011 the school recorded the highest rate of growth in Algebra proficiency in the state. In 2012 CHS won the state's SCORE award for the highest improvement trend in the state of Tennessee. It repeated the same feat in 2013 and 2014 making it the winner of the award for three consecutive years and in three of the award's four years of existence.

Pandit Ritwik Sanyal with next generation Dhrupad disciple and son Ribhu SanyalSanyal is presently a Professor of vocal music and Ex-Head of the department of vocal music and Ex-Dean at the Faculty of Performing Arts at Banaras Hindu University. He has around 50 published papers in various journals, and also composes dhrupad lyrics. He is a "Top" grade (Dhrupad) artist at All India Radio & Doordarshan, Varanasi. He has assimilated the Dagarvani tradition of Dhrupad and evolved a distinctive style of his own in the rendering of Dhrupad.

At the age of 19, Rasbihari had the distinction of being All India Radio approved vocalist in light music to be upgraded in course of time to the Top Grade. AIR, and later Doordarshan, regularly invited him to concerts all over India. He remained the nucleus of musical activities throughout his academic career as a professor of Physics and it was often that talents finely honed by him claimed top places at the university and national levels. For training to students for inter-university events, he was almost always invited.

Initially a halfback, Morris came to selectors' attention when playing for the Dapto club. In the 1978 season he gained selection in the New South Wales Country Rugby League side and was then chosen to represent New South Wales and Australia. St. George Dragons In season 1979 Morris joined the St George club and won a premiership in his début year in the Sydney top grade. In the 1979 Grand Final he took out the Best Player award, the Dave Brown Medal (now known as the Clive Churchill Medal).

Noel Raymond Kelly (22 January 193614 June 2020) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer and coach, who played at club, state and national levels. He was named among the country's finest footballers of the 20th century. Century's Top 100 Players Kelly played as a , prop forward or for much of his top-grade career with the Western Suburbs Magpies, whom he played for in three consecutive NSWRFL grand finals from 1961 to 1963. Kelly was named at of the Western Suburbs Magpies, Queensland and Australian teams of the 20th century.

A Chianina bull named Donetto holds the world record for the heaviest bull, reported by one source as when exhibited at the Arezzo show in 1955, but as and tall at the age of 8 by others including the Tenuta La Fratta, near Sinalunga in the province of Siena, where he was bred. Cows usually weigh , but commonly exceed ; those standing over are judged top-grade. Calves routinely weigh over at birth. The coat of the Chianina is white; very slight grey shading round the eyes and on the foreparts is tolerated.

He went on to become a very successful touch judge, officiating in 242 top-grade matches. His most notable appointments included the Grand Finals in 1988 and 1991, the 1989 and 1996 State of Origin series, and an Australia-France test match in 1990. He retired as a referee and touch judge at the end of the 1999 season. Howell lodged an application with the Chief Industrial Magistrate's Court in 2005 as a test case, seeking long service leave from the NSWRL for his 18 years of service.

Maas played for the Parramatta Eels in reserve grade and won two premierships with the club in the late 1990s. Before signing with Souths, Maas was likened to former South Sydney player Les Davidson by rugby league journalist Steve Mascord. Maas made his first grade debut for South Sydney against the Brisbane Broncos in round 8 2002 which ended in a 42–16 loss at the Sydney Football Stadium. He made his final appearances in the top grade the following week against the New Zealand Warriors which ended in a 25–18 loss.

Tommy Bishop also arrived at Cronulla in 1969 and after the departure of Ken Kearney as coach in 1970, Bishop took over as captain and coach. The first half of Pierce's top grade career was played under the tutelage of Bishop. Pierce was in the Cronulla side which made it to the grand final in 1973 to be beaten 10–7 by Manly in a game still regarded as one of the most brutal grand finals ever fought out. Pierce became Cronulla captain in 1975, a role he would hold till his retirement in 1980.

Whitbread joined Canterbury in 1985 and made his first grade debut for the club in round 4 1986 against Penrith at Belmore Oval. This was Whitbread's only appearance for Canterbury in the top grade and he was not included in the grand final team which lost to Parramatta. In 1987, Whitbread made 7 appearances for Canterbury's first team but spent much of his time in reserve grade. Whitbread was released at the end of 1987 after making a total of 56 appearances for the club across all grades.

Specifically Gould suffered an eye injury which posed a risk of separation of the retina. Gould moved to Newtown in 1981, where Warren Ryan was still honing his innovative coaching approach that transformed the way that top-grade rugby league was played in Australia throughout the next decade. After being also-rans for many years, a turnaround was achieved when Newtown made the 1981 Grand Final against Parramatta, though losing 20–11. Gould signed with Canterbury in 1983 under Ted Glossop, losing in the final to Parramatta 18–4.

Saab made his first grade debut for South Sydney in round 21 1988 against the Gold Coast at the Sydney Football Stadium with the match finishing in a 14–14 draw. Saab scored his first try in the top grade the following week against Canterbury-Bankstown in a 18–14 victory at Belmore Oval. Saab only made 4 appearances for Souths during the 1989 season where the club finished as minor premiers. In 1990, Saab had a breakout season although the club had a horror year on the field finishing last on the table and claimed the wooden spoon.

The gameplay consists of levels called "missions", where players must fight numerous enemies, perform platforming tasks, and occasionally solve puzzles to progress through the story. The player's performance in each mission is given a letter grade D increasing to C, B, and A with an additional top grade of S. Grades are based on the time taken to complete the mission, the amount of "red orbs" gathered (the in-game currency obtained from defeated enemies), how "stylish" their combat was, item usage, and damage taken. On December 31, 2012, the San Diego Chargers fired general manager A. J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner after finishing the season with a disappointing 9–7 record. He finished the 2012 season with 97 combined tackles (83 solo), nine passes defensed, three interceptions, and a touchdown in 16 games and 16 starts. His teammates voted him as the Chargers' MVP in 2012 and he also was named to the Associated Press All-Pro Team. Pro Football Focus gave Weddle an overall grade of +27.7, which ranked as the top grade among qualifying safeties in 2012.

He showed promise as an Australian rules football player as a young person, being the best and fairest for the Castlemaine Football Club in 1969, at only 17 years of age. While studying teaching at Monash University in Melbourne, Hall made his debut for the Carlton Football Club in what was then the Victorian Football League (now named the Australian Football League). He went on to play 37 senior games between 1971 and 1974. However, he retired from top-grade football at the end of the 1974 season, moving to Traralgon in 1975 to take up a full-time secondary teaching position.

Among his other top grade horses, Richards was the regular jockey for George Widener's future Hall of Fame inductee Eight Thirty on whom he won the 1939 Travers Stakes, the 1940 Suburban Handicap and in his final year as a jockey, the Metropolitan Handicap. In 1940, Harry Richards was a founding member of the Jockeys' Guild and served as the organization's first president. Retired from riding, Harry Richards owned and trained horses for several years. He and his wife Daisy were living in Solana Beach, California when he died at age seventy-two in January 1980.

In February 2020, it was revealed that Packer could be forced to medically retire from rugby league after struggling to recover from an ongoing foot injury. In round 5 of the 2020 NRL season, Packer played his first game in the top grade since April 2019 as Wests played against the Canberra Raiders. During the game, Packer was sin binned for a professional foul and later placed on report for a high tackle where he was subsequently suspended for two games. In round 10, Packer returned to first grade, running for 150 metres as Wests Tigers beat the Brisbane Broncos 48-0.

Rather than regrade all climbs each time standards improve, additional grades were added at the top—originally only 5.10, but it soon became apparent that an open-ended system was needed, and further grades of 5.11, 5.12, etc. were added, and thus the system is no longer decimal. While the top grade was 5.10, a large range of climbs in this grade was completed, and climbers realized a subdivision of the upper grades was required. The decision to enter a joint venture saw a crowd of 15,240 turn-out in atrocious conditions to watch the Tigers play their last home game in first grade at Leichhardt Oval as the Balmain Tigers. Balmain's final game in the top grade as a sole entity was in Round 26 1999 against the Canberra Raiders at Bruce Stadium which ended in a 42–14 defeat. At the time of the club's exit, Balmain were the third most successful club in the competition's history with eleven premierships. Only St. George and South Sydney had won more premierships.

Webster made his first grade debut for Balmain against Eastern Suburbs in Round 1 1979 at Leichhardt Oval. Webster would go on to be a regular within the Balmain team over the coming seasons although his time at the club was not very successful with the club finishing last in 1981, one of only four times that Balmain had finished last since entering the competition in 1908. In 1983, Webster joined Newtown. Webster played 22 games for Newtown in 1983 which would prove to be the club's last in the top grade of Australian rugby league.

The name of the club was unanimously agreed upon to be known as the Port Stephens Shire Council Cricket Club (P.S.S.C.C.C). This name was to stay with the club until the mid 1990s where the Shire Council portion of the name would be dropped out. The club in its inaugural season in the Maitland Competition was successful in securing the Major Premiership in the C2 competition. This would prove to be the first of many major premierships the club would secure over the next 30 seasons culminating in the club being the current top grade premiers in the 2015-16 season.

Lamey played for the Illawarra Steelers for two seasons between 1997 and 1998, St. George Illawarra Dragons for two seasons between 1999-2000 and one season at South Sydney in 2002. Lamey played in Illawarra's final ever game in the top grade which was against Canterbury-Bankstown in Round 24 1998 which ended in a 25–24 loss at WIN Stadium. Lamey made only 1 appearance for St George in 1999 and did not play in the club's 1999 grand final defeat. In 2002, Lamey joined South Sydney who had just been re-admitted to the competition.

Kaufusi made his first grade debut for the Northern Eagles in Round 6 2002 against Canberra at Grahame Park. Kaufusi played in the Northern Eagles final ever game which was a 68-28 loss against Penrith in Round 26 2002 at Brookvale Oval. At the end of 2002, the Northern Eagles were dissolved with Manly-Warringah announcing that they had applied to the NRL to once again be a stand alone club returning to the top grade for the first time since 1999. Kaufusi was not signed on to play with Manly in the 2003 season.

Moseley made his first grade debut for South Sydney against St George in Round 16 1997 at Kogarah Oval. Moseley would only make one further appearance for Souths in first grade which was the following week against North Sydney which ended in a 40–8 defeat at the Sydney Football Stadium. In 1999, Moseley signed for Western Suburbs and played 13 games for the club in what proved to be their last season in the top grade as a stand- alone entity. Moseley played in the club's last game before their merger with fellow foundation club Balmain.

Kirby welcomed this change, commenting in 1974 that "we have got to get top- grade public transport. In Melbourne we have the makings of the best public transport system in Australia and perhaps one of the best in the world. But lack of finance has caused it to run down." Kirby lobbied the Hamer Government to order trams, and succeeded, with PCC 1041 (a prototype inspired from a 1965 European fact-finding mission Kirby had been on) entering service (but failing upon launch due to poor electrical equipment, which had been reused from an older prototype PCC 980) in April 1973.

Baeden Ty Choppy (born 14 April 1976 in Mackay, Queensland) is a former field hockey striker from Australia, who was a member of the Men's National Hockey Team that won the bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2004, Baeden has been working as a player-coach to a hockey team competing in the North Premier League, England. In 2017, Baeden returned to playing hockey in the Brisbane hockey league at the Kedron Wavell Wolves, re-uniting with former Olympics team-mate Matthew Smith (field hockey) who is the current top grade coach at that Club.

After nearly a decade of inactivity the club again sprang to life again in 1983, initially with underage football teams and a camogie side. A senior football was added as the club grew. It was at this reincarnation the club adopted their current colours of blue and white, following the trend set by the other major sporting clubs in the city. Success soon followed with a first senior football county title coming in 1989, a year after the under-14 team won the All Britain title in 1988 which remains the club's only top grade provincial title.

Under the Tetrarchy, military commands were separated from administrative governorships for the first time, in contrast to the Principate, where provincial governors were also commanders- in-chief of all military forces deployed in their provinces. The main change in structure from the 2nd-century army was the establishment of large escort armies (comitatus praesentales), typically containing 20,000–30,000 top-grade palatini troops. In 1947, The Entrance was a founding member of the Central Coast Rugby League Football Association. The club entered a team in each of the three grade competitions, reaching the final in both lower grades. In the top grade, The Entrance were runners-up in 1948 and premiers in 1949. Three successive Grand Finals were played against Ourimbah, for a loss (7-15 in 1948), a draw (7-all) and a win (15-11 in the 1949 replay). Further A Grade or First Grade premierships were won in 1956, 1957, 1961, 1989, 1993, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2015, 2018 and 2019.

The Western Suburbs Panthers, or West Brisbane Panthers, or often simply referred to as Wests for short, are a rugby league club based in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The club is the oldest in the QRL and despite absences from the top grade in recent years and several name changes the club continued to operate. After leaving the Queensland Cup, they participated in the Brisbane A-Grade competition from 2005 until their senior sides disbanding in 2012. In 2013, the club entered a voluntary hiatus, but was announced to be part of the revived Brisbane Rugby League.

Bayssari's time at the club was a difficult period in Balmain's history as they missed the finals each season and finished last in 1994 which was only the fourth time a Balmain side had come last in the competition. Bayssari also played during the period in which Balmain changed their name to the "Sydney Tigers" at the start of the Super League war and moved their home games to Parramatta Stadium. Bayssari's final game in the top grade came in round 7 of the 1997 ARL season against North Sydney which ended in a 9-7 victory for Balmain at Leichhardt Oval.

During mid-1978, acting upon underworld chatter about an impending drug importation, the CIU mounted a task force operation involving the Australian Bureau of Narcotics, Commonwealth Police and the Australian armed forces. Riley had earlier planned to smuggle 4.5 tonnes of top grade cannabis from Thailand to Australia aboard the fishing vessel Choryo Maru. When the ageing Choryo Maru developed engine problems, the cannabis was offloaded into the hulk of the Amagi Maru, which had run aground on a reef east of Papua New Guinea. On 23 May 1978, the yacht Anoa, recently purchased in Cairns, set sail to retrieve the stash.

Allan made his first grade debut in Round 1 of the 2019 NRL season for South Sydney against the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Cricket Ground. In one of the great batting line ups of all time, he scored a record 690 runs, while Graeme Jacobs, Robert White and Wayne Amiguet all scored 400 plus runs. Graeme Lloyd was a one-man wrecking machine, taking a further 71 wickets, the most ever since 1922/23. Finishing on top the ladder at the end of the season, they cruised to the final where they defeated East Ringwood and claimed their second premiership in the top grade. Robert White had an excellent all-round game, scoring 84 out of the 304 team score, then took 5/60 with the ball, as East Ringwood fell 60 runs short.

The Stikine River () is a river, historically also the Stickeen River, approximately long, in northwestern British Columbia in Canada and in southeast Alaska in the United States. Its Grand Canyon represents the top grade in difficulty for a kayak descent. Considered one of the last truly wild major rivers in British Columbia, it drains a rugged, largely pristine, area east of the Coast Mountains, cutting a fast-flowing course through the mountains in deep glacier-lined gorges to empty into Eastern Passage, just north of the city of Wrangell, Alaska, which is situated at the north end of Wrangell Island in the Alexander Archipelago.

In addition, between October 2017 and May 2018, the Northern Lighthouse Board have been effecting significant schedule of repairs, plus maintenance and repainting of the main Lighthouse Tower. Both the private owners and the NLB aim to have the entire site at Noss Head Lighthouse compound back to the top Grade A condition that the Northern Lighthouse Board set for all of their statutorily listed properties. In 2018, the Noss Head Lighthouse Principal Keeper's Cottage and Occasional Keeper's House remain as holiday accommodation. Whilst the former Engine House continues to be utilised as offices, workshop and the mess for retained lighthouse keepers employed by the Northern Lighthouse Board.

At the end of Brian's first year at university he transferred to the St George Dragons rugby league club (1962-1965). While at St George he won three reserve-grade premierships and was kept out of the top grade by Reg Gasnier, Johnny Riley and Billy Smith who started with the club in the centres. Brian won 3 Second Grade Premierships (1962-1964) and won a First Grade Premiership blazer in 1965. In 1962, in a Second Grade Grand Final (St George vs Wests), he scored from the kick off after St George kicked to the backs, the ball bounced once and then he scored under the posts.

Each Breeders' Cup race presents four Breeders' Cup trophies to the connections of the winner and a garland of flowers draped over the withers of the winning horse. Many Breeders' Cup winners will go on to win the Eclipse Award in their respective division. For example, of the eleven flat racehorse categories, seven of the Eclipse winners in 2015 had also won a Breeders' Cup race, while three others were in the money. In the 2015 listing of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA), three Breeders' Cup races are ranked among the top Grade 1 races in the world: the Classic (4th), the Turf (10th) and the Mile (12th).

Cartwright made his first grade debut for Penrith against his cousin Bryce Cartwright in round 17 of the 2019 NRL season vs the Gold Coast Titans which ended in a 24–2 victory at Penrith Park.. After signing for South Sydney in 2020, he made his club debut in round 18 of the 2020 NRL season against the Wests Tigers. The following week against Canterbury-Bankstown, Cartwright appeared to have scored his first try in the top grade but he lost the ball over the try line in the second half of the match as South Sydney suffered a 26-16 shock defeat at ANZ Stadium.

The modern form of the piano, which emerged in the late 19th century, is a very different instrument from the pianos for which earlier classical piano literature was originally composed. The modern piano has a heavy metal frame, thick strings made of top-grade steel, and a sturdy action with a substantial touch weight. These changes have created a piano with a powerful tone that carries well in large halls, and which produces notes with a very long sustain time. The contrast with earlier instruments, particularly those of the 18th century (with light wooden frames, lightly sprung actions, and short sustain time) is very noticeable.

In 1961 he was lured to the Parramatta club on the then record transfer fee of 2,500 pounds. The Parramatta club had languished at the bottom of the ladder in their first fifteen seasons after admission to the top grade competition in 1947 – they finished last eight times in the ten seasons from 1952 to 1961. With St. George champion Ken Kearney appointed coach, 1962 marked a turnaround: internationals Hambly and Ron Lynch had joined the club in 1961 with Bob Bugden and Ken Thornett following in 1962. The club was particularly competitive from 1962 to 1965 making the finals in all four seasons.

Pidding joined St. George in 1947, immediately cementing a spot in the top-grade as the club's full-back. He made his representative debut for New South Wales that year and in 1948 was selected for Australia, making his test debut against New Zealand in the first test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He had a poor game in Australia's 19-21 loss and was unlucky enough to be starting his career at the same time as the "Immortal" Clive Churchill. Churchill replaced Pidding for the 2nd Test in Brisbane and went on to make thirty-seven national representative appearances at full-back over the next 10 years.

In 2010 the results of pupils who sat the AQE entrance exam were published. Of successful applicants to Foyle College, only 11 out of the 126 who were admitted into Year 8 achieved the top grade Q1, but 40 pupils who received the lowest grade Q4 were admitted. In 2011, a re-brand of the school was carried out by the schools governors to reputedly reflect popular usage in the city of Derry, where the school is almost universally known as Foyle College. However, although the school's name and crest was re-branded, the college's legal name will continue to be Foyle and Londonderry College.

Roger Ebert awarded his top grade of four stars and wrote that the film "begins as a portrait of Axel Freed's personality, develops into the story of his world, and then pays off as a comedy. We become so absolutely contained by Axel's problems and dangers that they seem like our own." Vincent Canby of The New York Times was less impressed, writing, "The movie follows Axel's downward path with such care that you keep thinking there must be some illuminating purpose, but there isn't ... Three production units were quickly set up, one in New York, one in Chicago, and one in Los Angeles. Martin & Lewis and Abbott & Costello anchored the West Coast, broadcasting from the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood (today known as Avalon Hollywood; other shows that originated here include The Hollywood Palace), while Eddie Cantor anchored from New York. This gave NBC a substantial edge over Ed Sullivan, since top-grade talent from motion pictures could also do network TV on the West Coast Colgate Comedy Hour, while Sullivan had to work with whoever happened to be in New York at the time that a particular episode aired.

The software industry requires large numbers of skilled engineers which are regularly churned out of the engineering colleges in Karnataka. The presence of Public sector undertakings like BEL, HAL, BHEL, ITI and BEML gave ready access to manpower as well as trial opportunities of newly developed software. There were many advanced laboratories like NAL and ISRO in and around Bangalore which provided necessary basic knowledge required for software development.

Bandy scored his only first grade try in round 4 of the 2001 NRL season against Canterbury-Bankstown at the Sydney Showground Stadium. At the end of 2001, Bandy was released by the Northern Eagles and he joined South Sydney who had just won readmission back into the NRL after a long battle through the court system. Bandy made his debut for Souths in round 13 2002 against arch rivals the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium which ended in a 42-6 loss. The following week, Bandy played in his final top grade game as Souths were thrashed 46-10 by the New Zealand Warriors.

Jolly made his first grade debut for Parramatta in round 22 of the 1996 ARL season against Penrith at Penrith Park which ended in a 24–16 loss. Jolly joined Balmain in 1997 who had just returned to Leichhardt Oval after playing for two seasons at Parramatta Stadium and had dropped the name "Sydney Tigers" after it was deemed a failed experiment. Jolly scored his only try in the top grade against the Newcastle Knights in round 11 1997. Jolly made a total of 11 appearances for Balmain as they finished 9th on the table, missing out on the finals by 2 competition points.

Alley-Tovio made his first grade debut for South Sydney in round 10 2003 against Cronulla-Sutherland at Shark Park which ended in a 14–30 loss. Alley-Tovio played 2 further games for Souths in the 2003 NRL season as the club finished last on the table. In the 2004 NRL season, Alley-Tovio only made one appearance for Souths which came against Canterbury-Bankstown in round 7 with the match finishing in an 8–34 loss. Souths would finish last on the table for a second consecutive year and this would prove to be Alley-Tovio's last game in the top grade.

A number of Raper's brothers had success in top-grade rugby league. Ron played a 128-game career for Canterbury over seven seasons from 1966, kicking a field- goal from the halfway line in their 1967 Grand final loss to South Sydney. He played out the end of his career as captain/coach at Wests Brisbane and made two representative appearance for Queensland in 1973. Maurie Raper played eighty-seven first grade matches for Penrith and Cronulla in an eight-year career, Gerard made two first grade appearances for Canterbury in 1977 and Peter, two appearances for Newtown while Michael played in lower grades.

Moreover, from an early age, she displayed a strong sense of responsibility, and as a result, her mother assigned her the task of selling farm produce in the market; certain that she would negotiate the best prices and keep the money safe. Thus, Kelemu learnt the hard truths about agriculture: its back breaking labour—especially for women, as well challenges to productivity, which placed people in her community in a constant struggle to meet minimum households food needs; but amidst all, the sector's potential. She is fond of holidays in warmer countries, but when at the beach she uses top-grade sunblock cream to avoid tanning, which would severely damage her carefully cultivated surface image. Over the next nine years he would make thirty-six state appearances against New South Wales and New Zealand and including the 1925 Queensland tour of New Zealand. Alongside future Kangaroo captains Tom Gorman and Herb Steinohrt, Bennett was a member of the 1924-25 world class Toowoomba side that beat all-comers including Sydney premiers Souths, Brisbane, Ipswich and representative sides including New South Wales, Victoria, Great Britain and New Zealand. He made his international representative debut for Australia in 1924 and played in all three Tests of that year's domestic Ashes series against Great Britain. He continued playing top-grade rugby league until 1933 and that year was still representing for Toowoomba in the Bulimba Cup.

In 1976, John Cullen Nugent's No. 1 Northern, a large steel abstract sculpture was unveiled, a work intended to be a metaphor for fields of wheat, represented in multi-layer rectangular shapes and painted the "brilliant" yellow of harvest wheat, and designed to represent Canada's hardy top grade, red spring wheat hybrid of the same name. The work was so disliked by some officials, employees of the Commission, the press, and the public, that it was removed in 1978 over the artist's objections and attempts at litigation. In 1997, after a second installation and removal from another federal building in Winnipeg, Nugent's sculpture was reinstalled in front of the Grain Commission building.

A Lakes United junior, Muir was graded with the Knights in 1992 and spent five years there and played 99 games. He debuted in first grade in May 1992 but did not cement a regular top-grade spot until round 7 in the 1993 season. He was member of the 1997 premiership winning side and bowed out of the club on a high having announced during the 1997 season, his intention to join the North Sydney Bears. His two seasons at Norths were plagued with ankle and knee injuries and his cause was not helped when he clashed with coach Peter Louis after being fined for misbehaviour after a pre-season match in Wagga in early 1999.

Having been admitted to the Sydney top-grade competition in 1947 the young Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 1949 had suffered three lean seasons and set about to secure the services of O'Connell, then regarded as one of the stars of the Australian game. He spent the 1949 season as captain-coach with Christian Brothers Wollongong. The Manly committee secured O'Connell with a 350-pound offer but his registration for the 1950 season was thwarted when Eastern Suburbs blocked the transfer on residential grounds. The Easts committee were dissatisfied with residential evidence O'Connell was able to table for himself and sought proof that O'Connell's wife had also already made the move to Manly.

Junee played all his junior football with Eastern Suburbs, breaking into the top grade in 1964 - the bleakest period in the club's history, winning just 2 matches that year and just 3 more in the following two. However this didn't stop Junee from breaking into the representative scene. In 1965, the speedy halfback was chosen for New South Wales and at the end of the 1967 NSWRFL season was selected for the 1967–68 Kangaroo Tour, becoming Kangaroo No. 422, though he did not play in a test match on the tour. In the 1970 NSWRFL season Junee was awarded the Rothmans Medal – rugby league's leading player award presented annually to the year's best player.

The first building to go up was the chapel in 1875 and in that same year, the School vacated its cramped premises in Victoria Street and moved into the Stamford Road site. Classes were held in the Chapel which also became an important centre of public worship. The Revd J. Romanis Lee, who became headmaster from 1912, was a benefactor of the School as it acquired many of its modern characteristics during his period as headmaster. He set about expanding the premises of the School and raised the status of the School from a second grade school to top grade in 1914, in which the school started to offer the Senior Cambridge Examination.

As an 18-year-old still attending school, Gigg started 1974 in the lower grades but started to make appearances in the top squad by mid year. He played on the wing in the inaugural Amco Cup final, and by the end of the year was making regular appearances in first grade. By the start of the 1975 season Gigg was firmly established in the top grade as a Centre, and his form that year saw him take out Penrith's player of the year award, quite an achievement for a 19-year-old. The years 1975-79 were frustrating ones as a regular first grader in a Penrith team that struggled to make an impact on the competition.

Raudonikis made his first grade debut for Western Suburbs in Round 6 against South Sydney at the Sydney Football Stadium which ended in a 41–10 loss. Western Suburbs would go on to finish the 1998 season in last place winning only 4 games for the entire year but were handed the wooden spoon as the Gold Coast Chargers who had also finished bottom avoided last position due to a better for and against. In 1999, Raudonikis played 8 games for the club in what proved to be their last season in the top grade as a stand-alone entity. Raudonikis played in the club's last game before their merger with fellow foundation club Balmain.

This modelled on a typical short sleeved blouse worn by ladies in the Tang Dynasty, and is made in the style of what the Chinese call "Gold Couching Embroidery," and is top-grade crinkled embroidery made by embroidering with gold threads. The blouse was worn drooped to the chest and has buttons down the front, with the collar and sleeve rims decorated with patterns embroidered with twisted gold threads. The average diameter of the gold threads is 0.1mm, with the thinnest segment as thin as 0.06mm, which is thinner than a hair. Moreover, one meter of gold thread is developed from 3,000 circles of gold foil, which is hard to achieve even in modern times characterized by high technology.

Illawarra did finish the season with a trophy however as they defeated the Brisbane Broncos 4-2 in the Toohey's Challenge Cup which was a pre-season tournament that started before the commencement of the official competition. Walsh played with Illawarra until the end of 1998 which would prove to be their final season in the top grade. Walsh played in the club's final ever game against Canterbury-Bankstown in Round 24 1998 which ended in a 25-24 loss. Shortly afterwards it was announced that Illawarra were to form a joint venture with St George but Walsh was one of the players not offered a contract to play with the new team.

Although 'S' levels were marked and graded in isolation from 'A' levels, it was not commonly a standalone qualification and was usually attempted only by candidates who were also sitting an 'A' level in the same subject and who were likely to obtain an "A" grade (the top grade) in that examination (and results only given to candidates who had actually achieved an "A" or a "B"). The subject matter of 'S' levels was identical to the 'A 'level syllabus, but the questions considerably harder. 'S' levels principally aimed to test candidates confronted with unfamiliar situations and show their reasoning. State Scholarships were abolished in 1962 and the exams were renamed Special papers.

This large steel abstract sculpture is intended as a metaphor for fields of wheat, represented in multi-layer rectangular shapes and painted the "brilliant" yellow of harvest wheat, designed to represent Canada's hardy top grade, red spring wheat hybrid of the same name that dominate the Prairies in the fall. The work was commissioned following a process begun as a recommendation by the architectural firm Smith Carter that the recently built Canadian Grain Commission building should be bestowed with a large scale exterior sculpture. Against the objections of Earl Baxter, chairman of the Board of Grain Commissioners, the work was installed in late 1975. Baxter canvassed employees, obtaining 300 signatures in protest shortly after the work's 1976 unveiling.

2002 Menéndez and García re-established their brand in the Canary Islands, but were later forced to quit due to trademark disputes with Cubatabaco (later known as Habanos S.A.). In the mid-1970s, the operation was moved to La Romana and released for the US market, since Cuban government rights to the brand were not recognized under American law due to the 1960 nationalization and subsequent embargo. Menéndez, García, y Cía is now owned by Altadis S.A., who controls its distribution and marketing in the United States. With Menendez and Garcia gone after 1959, one of the top grade torcedores, José Manuel González, was promoted to floor manager and proceeded to breathe new life into the brand.

Creary made his first grade debut for the Northern Eagles in Round 17 2002 against Canterbury-Bankstown at the Sydney Showground (Olympic Park) scoring 2 tries in a 42–22 loss. Creary played in the Northern Eagles final ever game which was a 68–28 loss against Penrith in Round 26 2002 at Brookvale Oval with Creary scoring a try. At the end of 2002, the Northern Eagles were dissolved with Manly-Warringah announcing that they had applied to the NRL to once again be a stand alone club returning to the top grade for the first time since 1999. Creary played with Manly-Warringah until the end of 2006 before retiring as a player.

As a child prodigy Shashwati started giving public performance at the young age of seven. She has performed extensively in India and abroad. Some of her major performances include Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsav in Pune, Maharashtra in 2006, Darbar festival in United Kingdom in 2008, Saptak Annual Festival of Music in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in 2010, Vishnu Digambar Jayanti Samaroh in New Delhi in 2010 and 2018, Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan in Jalandhar, Punjab in 2012 and 2019,, ITC Sangeet Sammelan in Kolkata, West Bengal in 2014, and Hridayesh Art Festival in Mumbai, Maharashtra in 2019. She is a 'top' grade artist at All India Radio and is an empanelled artist at Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

Later, she had training under Lalgudi Jayaraman and under K. J. Yesudas, both renowned musicians. She started performing as a violin- accompanist. She joined the All India Radio as a staff artist to start her career in 1988 and continues to work there as a Top Grade artist in Carnatic music and B High Grade artist in light music and violin. She has secured a doctoral degree (PhD) for her thesis, Stylistic Analysis of Kalidaikurichi Vedanta Bhagavatar, from the University of Madras and teaches Carnatic Music for many students in- Person and Online from her home in Tiruvanmiyur She is reported to have developed braille notations for music and has performed at various places in India and abroad.

When Budhaditya was five years old, Bimalendu Mukherjee started teaching him on a small sitar and trained him for several decades thereafter. In 1970, he won two national-level music competitions, and soon after was famously endorsed in glowing terms first by legendary film maker Satyajit Ray and then South Indian veena great Balachander, who proclaimed him "sitar artist of the century." In 1975, Budhaditya became a grade-A artist with All India Radio (he was promoted to top grade in 1986). During the 70s he became the first ever sitarist to play the tappa, a form of vocal music rolling with repeated high speed taans, and as of 2018, is probably the only sitarist to have effectively presented the tappa.

After a slow start the season two more important signing were completed before the third round, these players were Centre/Winger Arthur Clifford from Newtown and goal Kicking fullback Frank Bonner from South Sydney. Bonner had played 24 first grade games for the Bunnies in three seasons and Clifford had scored 5 tries in 6 top grade matches with the Jets. At the end of the season the Cougars had played 18 matches, won 11, drew 1 and lost 6 including winning the fourth place playoff (10–4 v Thirroul), Semi-final (11–4 v Wollongong), Final (17–2 v Port Kembla) and Grand Final (22–7 v Port Kembla) in an amazing run to the Premiership from fifth place.

Doherty began his playing career at the age of 19 with his one and only first grade game with the Penrith Panthers on 26 August 1990, coming off the bench and playing the in their round 22 clash against the Western Suburbs Magpies at Campbelltown Stadium. Doherty didn't play again in first grade until 1993 when he joined Wests. Staying at the club for two seasons, Doherty played a total four games and scored his first top grade points with a try in the club's 38-4 win over the Gold Coast Seagulls in round 14 of the 1994 season. In 1995, Doherty joined the Sydney Bulldogs and started the season in first grade against North Queensland as a replacement forward.

In 2009, Maloney moved to Melbourne and played for the Central Coast Storm in the NSW Cup. In Round 5 of the 2009 NRL season, Maloney made his NRL debut for the Melbourne Storm against the Penrith Panthers, playing at five-eighth in the 16–14 win at Olympic Park. Maloney represented the NSW Residents in 2009 against the Queensland Residents. Despite good form at both NSW Cup and NRL level, Maloney was restricted to just 4 matches in the top grade in the 2009 NRL season, rival clubs were lining up to give Maloney a better opportunity in first grade and by season's end on 7 August 2009, Maloney had signed a 3-year deal with the New Zealand Warriors beginning in 2010.

Oberon Tigers is an Australian rugby league football team based in the Central West town of Oberon. The Tigers first played in the Country Rugby League- controlled Group 10 Rugby League in the competition's inaugural season in 1947, before dropping out at the end of the 1951 season. The Tigers returned in 1954 and competed in Group 10 until the end of the 1996 season. It also had another two spells in the competition from 2005-2008 and 2011-2019. The club is one of the most successful teams in Group 10 history, having won 11 top grade titles, including a Group-record seven consecutive premierships from 1961 to 1967 and playing in a record 12 consecutive grand finals from 1960 to 1971.

Stanton was also discovered to be a very talented goal kicker and was made the first choice goal kicker for the Senior Academy scoring sixty-eight goals as long with another thirteen goals scored in the Junior Academy. In 2008 he was promoted to the Wigan Warriors first team and given the squad number 26 although he never played in any first team matches. He continued to play in the top grade of the academy system (which became the Reserves League in 2008); he played ten games scoring eight tries and kicking sixty goals. Stanton was not able to break into the first team in 2008 due to wingers Pat Richards, Mark Calderwood and Liam Colbon all being picked ahead of him.

Grauf, a talented halfback or five-eighth, started his first grade career in the Brisbane competition in 1986 for the Norths Devils when coach Greg Oliphant decided to give the then 18-year-old a shock call-up. Not only was he promoted to the top-grade, but he also became the BRL's youngest ever captain in the process. Grauf cemented his spot in first-grade for Norths and was instrumental in the club's much improved 1987 season which saw them reach the preliminary final. He was then signed by the Brisbane Broncos for their inaugural season, producing the bomb that led to Brisbane's first ever try (scored by Brett Le Man) in a premiership match against Manly in round one at Lang Park.

Matt Cooper was denied tries twice in the first 10 minutes, once by a last-ditch try-saving tackle by Bell on the try line. It was not till the 73rd minute that New South Wales' Matt King, in his farewell Origin performance having announced his intention to relocate the Super League in 2008, scored a try which was set up by a flat pass from eventual man-of-the-match Greg Bird. Hazem El Masri, in his debut performance for the Blues after an 11-year top-grade career, converted from the sideline, giving New South Wales an important 8-point lead. In the 79th minute, Paul Gallen was able to offload to El Masri on the tryline and the result was sealed.

His performances with most of the leading artists like Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Ashish Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Ustad Rais Khan, Pandit Rajan and Sajan Mishra, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, Pandit Manas Chakraborty, Pandit Viswamohan Bhat, Ustad Rashid khan, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumder, Pandit Nayan Ghosh and Pandit Kushal Das among others, has established him as a top-notch accompanist throughout the world.

Bazeley was scouted by Watford FC, signing at the age of 14. Bazeley played in the youth team at Watford for several seasons, making his first-team debut at the age of 17, coming on as a substitute in the final match of the 1989-90 season against Hull City AFC. Bazeley made sporadic first-team appearances throughout the 1990-91 season with Watford, and before the 1991–92 season became a full professional. Bazeley's first top-grade goal came in September 1991, away at Barnsley FC, and finished the season with a total of six goals from his 34 appearances. Overall Bazeley made 283 appearances for Watford FC with highlight being Champions of League 1 in 1997–98 season, meaning promotion to the Championship.

King made his National Rugby League debut from the bench for the Northern Eagles in a 42–14 loss to the Brisbane Broncos at the NorthPower Stadium in Gosford on 1 September in Round 26 of the 2001 NRL season. In 2002, King became a permanent figure in the Northern Eagles team, playing 22 games for the season and scoring two tries. He scored his first try in the top grade in a 36–12 win over the Canberra Raiders in Round 6 in Gosford. From the 2003 NRL season, the Northern Eagles were no more and the Manly-Warringah club was back in the premiership (the Northern Eagles had been the result of an uneasy merger between Manly and their local rivals the North Sydney Bears).

Jack Gibson OAM (27 February 1929 – 9 May 2008) was an Australian rugby league coach, player, and commentator. He is widely considered one of the greatest coaches in the sport's history. Nicknamed 'Supercoach', he was highly regarded not only for his coaching record but also for his thirst for innovation, as he introduced new coaching and training methods into the sport in the 1970s, and 1980s, when first-grade rugby league was then still played and coached on a semi-professional basis. He played and coached in Sydney's top grade competition, the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership, and coached Eastern Suburbs to premierships in 1974 and 1975 and later the Parramatta Eels to three successive premierships from 1981 to 1983.

However, following an injury to Newcastle front rower Paul Harragon during an early tournament game, Kangaroo's coach Bob Fulton sent an SOS for Larson to join the squad in England. Larson answered the call and went on to play in Australia's 16-8 win over England in the World Cup Final at London's famous Wembley stadium, London. Larson announced his retirement from representative games in 1999, but following the merger of the Bears and their local rivals Manly-Warringah to become the Northern Eagles, chose to see out the final season of his career with the Parramatta Eels. Larson played for North Sydney in their last game as a top grade side which came in against North Queensland in round 26 1999 at the Willows Sports Complex.

He scored his first try in the top grade in Manly's 44-6 demolition of Souths in the opening round of the season. Due to the Super League war, Ridge had signed with the Super League aligned Auckland Warriors and after his performances in 1995 and 1996, it was expected that Nevin would be an automatic selection at fullback for Manly in 1997. However, a poor pre-season and the signing of goal kicking Craig Field saw Fulton use experienced, former NSW Origin winger Craig Hancock as Manly's fullback for the first 11 rounds of the season. Nevin returned to first grade in Round 11 against Balmain when Danny Moore was unavailable after being selected to play State of Origin for Queensland and Fulton moved Hancock to his preferred wing spot.

Fielding was almost impossible as dark clouds closed in on the ground and infielders were forced to scream out the direction of the ball to outfielders unable to pick up its flight. Davis refused to appeal against the light, preferring to play the game out to a finish, and when the opposition finished on 8/131, Warrandyte prevailed by 28 runs, claiming their first ever top grade premiership. Again the team bowed out agonisingly at the semi-final stage to eventual county champions Donoughmore. The junior A hurlers captured their first title in 1989 when landing the Flyer Nyhan trophy after defeating Newcestown in a marvellous final and as a bonus the league trophy was added later that year following a tremendous inter- divisional county campaign which just eluded them after a replay defeat by Clyda Rovers in the final. Success in top grade junior hurling returned in 1997 when Ballinascarthy overcame favourites Bandon and back-to-back titles were secured twelve months later against the same opposition. In the millennium year the feat was repeated after a replay win over Barryroe to make it three titles in four years and complete the most successful period of the adult club's history.

Although the 1971 set was an aborted experiment in terms of putting photos on card backs (they would not return until 1992), that year was also a landmark in terms of baseball card photography, as Topps for the first time included cards showing color photographs from actual games. The cards themselves had been in color from the beginning, though for the first few years this was done by using artist's portraits of players rather than actual photographs and until 1971, Topps used mostly portrait or posed shots. The 1971 set is also known for its jet black borders, which because they chip so easily, makes it much more difficult to find top grade cards for 1971. The black borders would return for Topps' 1985 football set and 2007 baseball set.

Slighted by the commander's arrogant demeanor, the King endeavours to send the sword to Indo-Burma border, where the INA hopes it can fund its artillery program and drive the British out of India. An opportunity arises when Harding proposes dispatching Julia and her troupe to the war-torn border where he hopes to raise the sagging morale of his troops through her shows. When Billimoria and Julia (who are now in a relationship) object, Harding promises top-grade security and coerces them by threatening to block supplies of film stock from England, as Nazi Germany has stopped shipments. Billimoria's affair with Julia causes rifts in his family, with his wife demanding a divorce and his grandfather concocting a ruse to prevent Billimoria accompanying Julia on the tour.

The Australian rugby league wooden spooners are the team that finished last in the premier top-grade rugby league competition in Australia, which is currently the National Rugby League, and was previously the New South Wales Rugby Football League (1908-1994), the Australian Rugby League (1995-1997), and Super League (1997). Each of these seasons is considered to represent one continuous line of competition dating back from the first season in 1908. The wooden spoon is an unofficial award, however, fans often bring "real" wooden spoons to taunt opposition sides who are struggling on the bottom of the ladder. Since the Melbourne Storm's salary cap breach which saw them win the wooden spoon in 2010 (more below), betting agencies have instead placed wagers on who would suffer the most losses in a single season, rather than win the wooden spoon itself.

Two other matches were played before the NRL Grand Final. At 12.00pm, the New South Wales Cup Grand Final was held between the Auckland Vulcans and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs with the Bulldogs winning 30-28\. The Toyota Cup Grand Final, featuring the youth teams of New Zealand Warriors and the North Queensland Cowboys, was played at 2.00pm, with the Warriors winning in extra time after Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt (who in the top-grade 2015 NRL Grand Final would score a try in the final seconds to force extra time) missed the opportunity to win the side's first premiership by missing a relatively simple conversion right on full-time. Entertainment included performances by American singer Kelly Clarkson and Australian band Eskimo Joe, marking Clarkson's first appearance at the event since the 2003 NRL grand final.

Nevin was born in Sydney, New South Wales and was a Manly Sea Eagles junior. A goal kicking fullback, Nevin was graded with the Sea Eagles but had to bide his time in Reserve Grade as Manly's first grade fullback at the time was New Zealand dual international custodian, the goal kicking Matthew Ridge. Manly coach Bob Fulton gave Nevin his first grade debut from the bench for Manly in their 48-18 win over South Sydney at the Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) in the opening round of the 1995 ARL season. He then spent the next 11 weeks in reserve grade (during which the Sea Eagles first grade team did not lose a match), and was again on the bench for the Round 12 game against the North Sydney Bears at Brookvale Oval where he scored his first points in the top grade by kicking a goal.

During their inaugural season the side captained by Warren Clarke had a less than successful showing. Winning their first 3 games played things looked promising, but the spark was soon to be extinguished as the Port Stephens side slumped to 6 consecutive losses and finishing their season after 18 matched played with a total of 7 wins one being a forfeited match. The following season coincided with the creation of the Port Stephens Pythons, accompanying new attire and an entirely different attitude toward the top grade competition. The Pythons acquired a number of players from the Clare Castle Cricket side and now being captained by Brett Cox there was inspired optimism. The A Grade team appeared in the Grand Final being defeated by Bowthorne, but had turned their previous season win percentage of 39% into a respectable 73% with 14 wins from 19 matches.

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China throughout the country in 1949, the Tianjin East Station was renamed the Tianjin Station and since then, and successive inspections by the Ministry of Railways have classified it as a top grade station. In 1950, the Tianjin Station waiting rooms were expanded by more than 1,000 square metres, and for more than thirty years since then there had been no further large-scale expansion works undertaken. After the Chinese economic reform, the burden of transportation on the Tianjin Station has been increasing due to the sharp increase in passenger traffic, and the average daily number of passengers was 65,000. After receiving from the State Council and the Ministry of Railways, the Tianjin Municipal Government decided to expand the "Tianjin Railway Improvement Project" and this item was also included among the key projects in the national "Seventh Five-Year Plan".

Living in Hagerstown, Maryland, where his son Richard Jr. was born in 1959, his success at the small half-mile track in his hometown plus at others in such places as Bel Air, Upper Marlboro and Cumberland as well as at Waterford Park in Chester, West Virginia led to his moving to the larger tracks on the Maryland racing circuit. For many years Dutrow concentrated on making a living through winning as many races as possible through his astute horse selection and his training methods. However, later in his career he competed on the New York racing circuit and developed top Grade I winners such as Lite The Fuse and the horse known as the "King of Aqueduct," King's Swan. He trained future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Flawlessly through her two-year-old season before the filly was sent by her owner to race in California.

1952-1956 Croydon-Ferntree Gully Football League B Grade. Tragedy struck the Walker family in 1953 with the accidental drowning of Jim Walker and his daughter Lorraine at Phillip Island. The community got together and erected the entrance gates and plaque in their memory and from that day the three parcels of land are known as Walker Reserve. The club had minimal success in this league. 1957-1964 Mountain District Football League Division 2 1957 - Runners up in first season. 1958 - The Devils win club's first senior premiership defeating Silvan with promotion to First Division. 1959 - Struggled in the top Grade and eventually were wooden spooners (last) in 1960 and 1961. 1965-1966: Division 2 - Eastern Districts Football League Invited to be foundation member club of new Eastern Districts Football league and competed in Division 2 Only one win for the first two seasons and demoted to Division 3 for 1967 1967-1985: Division 3 A long lean era for the club.

Dave Brown started his club career in the Brisbane Rugby League competition with the Souths Magpies. In 1981, Brown signed with Sydney club Eastern Suburbs. Under the coaching of Bob Fulton, Brown played 41 games for the Roosters in 1981 and 1982 (and was considered unlucky not to be selected for the 1982 Kangaroo tour), before following Fulton to Manly in 1983 where he would win the 1983 Dally M of the year award, though injury kept him out of the Sea Eagles Grand Final team that lost 18–6 to Parramatta. Brown stayed at Manly for the 1984 season, before once again joining Easts for what would be his last two years of top grade football in Australia. After finishing his career with Easts at the end of the 1986 NSWRL season (after having only played 12 games over the course of 1985 and 1986), Brown ventured to England where he joined Hull F.C. in the 1986–87 season.

In April 1973, Smith met with the Regional Committee member, Kenneth Lochhead, and they "mutually agreed" that the building required a major contemporary work of art for the forecourt, determining a budget of $50,000, with Smith to follow up with a list of artists and in July 1974, a competition was proposed between ten invited artists. In January 1975, five artists, Henry Saxe, Ulysse Comtois, John Nugent, Ricardo Gomez, and Hugh Leroy, were chosen by Smith (with Kenneth Lochhead's advice). The Advisory Committee selected Nugent's No. 1 Northern, a large steel abstract sculpture intended as a metaphor for fields of wheat, represented in multi-layer rectangular shapes and painted the "brilliant" yellow of harvest wheat, designed by Nugent to represent Canada's hardy top grade, red spring wheat hybrid of the same name that dominate the Prairies in the fall. The work proved controversial after its installation in late 1975, with Earl Baxter, chairman of the Board of Grain Commissioners, leading a campaign in protest shortly after its unveiling, and by July 1978, they had prevailed: the work was dismantled and reinstalled two years later in front of a Revenue Canada building, only to be removed again in 1993.

Depending on the agency and the work description, a GS position may provide for advancement within a "career ladder," meaning that an employee performing satisfactorily will advance between GS grades, normally on an annual basis, until he(she) has reached the top GS grade for that job (which represents full performance). Advancement beyond the top grade (to either a specialized technical position or to a managerial position) would be subject to competitive selection. Not all positions, however, provide for such a "career ladder," thus requiring employees who seek advancement to consider other career paths, either within their agency or outside it. An example is the "career ladder" for auditors within the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). The traditional "entry level" grade within DCAA is the GS-7 level (some employees come in either at the lower GS-5 level or higher GS-9 or GS-11 levels) and the "career ladder" is GS-7 to GS-9 to GS-11 and finally to GS-12, with the employee expected to advance between grades after one year and to reach the GS-12 level after three years.

McCracken played in Canterbury's 1994 Grand Final loss to the Canberra Raiders and unfortunately threw the pass intercepted by Canberra captain Mal Meninga for the last try of the game and the last of Meninga's club career. McCracken's luck with Grand Finals was against him again in 1995. As a result of the Super League war and his mid-season announcement that he would be leaving the Bulldogs at the end of the year to join the ARL loyal club Parramatta, Jarrod McCracken missed out on the Dogs historic 1995 Grand Final win over Manly-Warringah when they became the first team to win the premiership from outside the top four (they finished the regular season in 6th with a 14–8 record compared to Manly finishing 1st with a 20–2 record which included a 26–0 mauling of the renamed Sydney Bulldogs in Round 9 at Parramatta Stadium). As a result of his impending departure from the club, Bulldogs coach Chris Anderson dropped McCracken to reserve grade despite him playing in the top grade for the first 19 games of the season and having represented New Zealand in tests against both France and Australia.
