According to Pierro, Borowczyk was passionate about the project after he discovered a resemblance between Pierro and a bust of the queen. Borowczyk delivered a press conference on the subject of the film and scouted filming locations in Tunisia, and Pierro discussed the film in interviews: The Neferiti project was aborted during pre-production, and Pierro took some time off films to appear in avant-garde theatre in Rome. She also spent time writing pieces for theatre as well as a screenplay loosely inspired by Joseph Sheridan le Fanu. In 1987, Pierro appeared in an episode of Carlo Di Carlo's television miniseries Cinque storie inquietanti.
The second and third rounds would belong to Rua however, as he would continue to land diving punches and knocked Nogueira down in the third. Rua would go on to take the decision and eventually would go on to win the tournament. This fight snapped Nogueira's eight fight winning streak and would be the first fight he lost in three years. After this fight Nogueira took some time off to heal some old injuries of his and would not fight again until July 2006, where he rematched Overeem and would win a second-round TKO decision, when Overeem's corner threw in the towel after Nogueira staggered him and was continuing to land combos.
Kellerman refused to testify against his fellow cops, but was not indicted; the U.S. Attorney in charge of the investigation later told him that she saw him as a good cop trying to do his job, but did not understand why good cops would choose not to turn in bad ones. Despite not being indicted, Kellerman became convinced that no one within or outside the BPD would ever believe that he was not corrupt. Falling into intense depression and reeling from another case of Luther Mahoney getting away with murder, Kellerman became increasingly angry and almost committed suicide. Lewis managed to calm him down and take his gun, after which Kellerman took some time off.
Wilson was brought in by the New World Order (nWo) to seduce David Flair into turning against his father, Ric Flair. Flair took some time off in mid-2006 to rest and marry for the third time and he returned in June to work a program with his real-life rival Mick Foley that played off their legitimate past animosity. Flair defeated Foley at Vengeance in a two out of three falls match, then at SummerSlam in an "I quit" match.

However, ABC decided to pick up the Cotton-Young album — as long as they continued under the 'Poco' name. Thus, although Grantham had never quit Poco, he found himself bought out of the group after he was not happy with the changes in its business set up, including the group's publishing no longer being divided evenly.

Patchy then tells the viewers to watch the rest of the SpongeBob episode while he watches Potty get fired, just as Mr. Pirateson forcefully shouts for Patchy to get in his office. After the episode is over, Patchy claims he took some time off, but Potty then tells the viewers that Patchy actually got fired, and Patchy gets back at Potty by saying that he got fired too, which is also true (but Potty also got a golden parachute). He was replaced by their nephew, Eric Hinson. In late 1984, Ronny "Bo" Hinson Jr replaced Eric until 1988, when the group took some time off for the members to pursue their individual ministries. Kenny continued to sing as well as preach the gospel and soon found himself pastor of a church in Houston TX. After 4 years, in 1992 he felt the pull of the family singing ministry once again. After many conversations and phone calls with his family, Larry approached their record producer at Calvary Music Group and suggested a reunion project involving the original members.

Fältskog recorded with the ABBA backing vocalist Tomas Ledin the song "Never Again" (a hit in Europe) and played a leading role in the Swedish film Raskenstam, while Lyngstad worked with Phil Collins to produce her solo album Something's Going On. The group returned to Polar Studios in May–August 1982 to record new songs for a planned follow up album to The Visitors. In November, Paige became the new number one contender for Charlotte's Divas Championship after winning a fatal four-way match, but was unsuccessful in regaining the title on three different occasions: at Survivor Series, when she lost by submission, the following night on Raw in a rematch, which ended in a double countout, and at TLC, when she once again lost. Paige took some time off television after her rivalry with Charlotte due to injury, and returned on the 18 January 2016 episode of Raw, accompanying her former rival Natalya to her match against Brie Bella. Upon her return, Paige started competing in various singles and tag team matches, ending on both winning and losing sides. Tsonga then began his 2012 season at the 2012 Qatar Open as third seed. Three wins set up a meeting against Roger Federer in the semifinals. However, Federer announced an unexpected withdrawal from the tournament due to a back problem, which gave Tsonga a walkover into the final. In the final, he won against Gaël Monfils and was named champion of the 2012 Qatar Open. Tsonga then played in the 2012 AAMI Classic exhibition tournament and lost the two matches he played. A week later, Tsonga had wins over Denis Istomin, Ricardo Mello, and Frederico Gil to make the round of 16 at the 2012 Australian Open. A cover of a lesser-known Marvin Gaye track, her version turned a rather sedate piece into a grinding electro production. It peaked at No. 92 in the UK, and several different versions of the track were released on 7" and 12" formats. In March 1985, "I'll Be The One" was issued as a new single from Tzuke's forthcoming sixth album, The Cat Is Out, which was mainly recorded at her home studio and released in June 1985. The single peaked at No. 97, while the album peaked at no.35 on the UK Albums Chart. A third single, "Love Like Fire", was released shortly afterwards, again with several versions on 7" and 12" formats, though this failed to chart. September 1985 saw a fourth single from the album, "This Side of Heaven", which coincided with Tzuke's national concert tour, although this too failed to chart. The show at Fairfield Halls in Croydon was recorded for a television special which, several years later, was issued as a CD/DVD release. Following the muted reception of The Cat Is Out, Tzuke signed with another major label, Polydor Records, in 1987. She began working on her seventh album, though took some time off in June 1987 when she gave birth to her first daughter, Bailey.
