On June 3, 1999, the Panamanian Government, on President Ernesto Perez Balladares administration, gives buildings 242 and 254 of the former Gorgas Hospital to the Institute, and on July 23 the Institute moves to this location from the building on Justo Arosemena Avenue. The Hospital has continued its growth and acquired new equipment, like a linear accelerator, a new CT and opened its ICU.
Francisco Plaza, also known as Francisco Fort Museum, built in 1862, was the first significant dwelling in the Cuchara Valley at what became La Veta, Colorado. The plaza is now a part of the museum complex. Only the courtyard and the fort building were added to the National Historic Register in 1986. The other structures are new, or were moved to this location during the 1960s.

Cedar Grove Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in Lebanon, Tennessee, and owned by the city government. The land was purchased by the City of Lebanon in 1846. However, the first mention of a city cemetery was in the year 1823. Prior to this location, the cemetery was situated on the parcel of land that held the College Street Church of Christ (which now has been converted into Wilson County Offices).
G.A.R. Memorial Hall, also known as the Algona Schoolhouse, is a historic building located in Algona, Iowa, United States. It was built as the city's first schoolhouse in 1867, and moved to this location in 1887. The two-story frame Italianate structure features a gable roof, bracketed eaves, and wood lap siding. It originally had a belfry in the center of the roof, but it was removed at some point.
The Book of Mormon further spoke of a city of Zion build in the Americas, which would be the biblical New Jerusalem. Upon learning that Jaisal was of yadhuvanshi descent, Eesul told him that according to ancient mythology Krishna and Bhima had come to this location for a ceremony, where Krishna had prophesied that a descendant of yadhuvanshi clan would one day establish a kingdom here Eesul showed him a spring which Krishna had created and his prophecy craved into a rock. Encouraged by this meeting Rawal decided to move his capital to this location despite Eesul predicting that it would be sacked two and a half times.
On Friday 1 March 1912, Toogood was found in a semi-conscious state, by a stranger, face down in a field in the Upper Malone district near Belfast. The circumstances which led him to this location and condition were not known. The Taylor's Candy Factory, also known as Sticky Taylor's Candy Factory, located on Main Street in Paris, Idaho, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is a small wood frame false front commercial structure built sometime before 1929. It is now located on Main Street near West First Street North, facing east, but was moved to this location from a site on the same block sometime in the 1940s. With .
Because the rear of the brewery was on the canal leading to the trekvaart, the brewery was located very advantageously for this business. The couple gave employment to many "zakkedragers" (carriers) for loading and unloading boats at the front and rear of the property. Another gable stone attests to this with the symbol of the carrier's guild, a man with a sack on his back. There was also a disadvantage to this location however.
Kræmmerholmen Kræmmerholmen is an old trading post on the island of Fedje. The trading post is now in the village of Fedje which is the main village on the island of Fedje in Fedje Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The main building of Kræmmerholmen was moved to this location in about 1652. During the 18th century, Fedje was an important trading place, with the small island Kræmmerholmen being the location where the trading took place.

O. of 3rd Bombardment Group, 8th BS Bombardment Squadron) who was KIA piloting A-24 41-15797. The airfield was built by the US Army, construction was initiated during the middle of 1942. On May 4, 1942, US Army 43rd Engineering Regiment, Company E moves to this location begin construction.
The Heuvelton Deli, situated on the northern outskirts of the village along route 812, has been a mainstay for pizza and subs for generations. Originally the Denny Hotel was next to this location. Pickens General Store, which sells local Amish-made goods and non electric products, is located in the historic Pickens Hall. Bird's Point was named for Abraham Bird Sr, who was a prominent planter and businessman in Shenandoah County, Virginia. He brought his family briefly to Bourbon, Kentucky and then, in 1796, to what later became Cairo, Illinois, and later, to this location (Bird's Point). It is said that they were the first white people to live in this area. Lewis and Clark encountered the Bird's Point settlement, during their famed expedition, in 1803.
The four owners of the Szimpla Kert decided to save the area from demolition and move the pub to this location. The group of owners made this decision because the structure provided more space and the environment they were looking for. The new location opened as Szimpla Kertmozi (kertmozi translating to open-air cinema in Hungarian) because of the large courtyard on the premises that was used to watch underground and indie films.

A marker at the site of Lincoln's first home in Illinois. The state memorial is believed to contain the site of the homestead, from March 1830 until March 1831, of pioneer Thomas Lincoln and about 12 members of his extended family, including grown son Abraham Lincoln. The Lincolns moved to this location, west of Decatur, Illinois, from Indiana in March 1830. Using local logs, they constructed a log cabin on the site.
A large provincial park surrounds the Itcha Range and other features in its vicinity. More than 15 animal species are known to exist in the Itcha Range area, as well as a grassland community that is limited only to this location of British Columbia. The Itcha Range is within territory which has been occupied by aboriginal peoples for millennia. This area has a relatively dry environment compared to the Coast Mountains in the west.
The first European settlers arrived in the Clark Lake area in 1833. In 1835, Ephraim and Nellie Hitt, along with their young son Gordon, moved from Delaware County, New York to this location and purchased 50 acres of land. The Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot is a historic train station building on Old Arkansas Highway 9 in the hamlet of Sylamore, Arkansas. It is a rectangular wood frame structure, covered with a hip roof, that has a projecting telegrapher's bay on one of its long sides. The building is located about east of the railroad tracks, having been moved to this location c. 1975 from its original site, about further south and closer to the line.
Gorman is an unincorporated community in northwestern Los Angeles County. It is located in Peace Valley south of the Tejon Pass, which links Southern California with the San Joaquin Valley and Northern California. Due to this location, the area has served as a historic travel stop dating back to the indigenous peoples of California. Tens of thousands of motorists travel through Gorman daily on the Golden State Freeway (Interstate 5) since the highway's completion in the mid-20th Century.
City pillar shrine Also on the temple grounds is the city pillar (Lak Mueang) of Chiang Mai, named Sao Inthakin. It was moved to this location in 1800 by King Chao Kawila; it was originally located in Wat Sadeu Muang. He also planted three dipterocarp tree there, which are supposed to assist the city pillar to protect the town. A festival in honor of the city pillar is held every year in May and lasts 6–8 days.
University of Economics in Katowice operates on two campuses: in Katowice and in Rybnik. Katowice is the main campus, located in Zawodzie neighborhood, approximately 2 kilometers (1,24 miles) from the city center. The university moved to this location in 1946 and since then numerous investments have been completed. Building A is the original building of the university and still remains the main one, with the largest auditorium - Aula Maior - that can host up to 400 people.

Charity is located on the Pomeroon River which provides a gateway to this part of Guyana's interior and Venezuela. Many Guyanese use this waterway to travel back and forth between Guyana and Venezuela where they work. It is a central focus for the farmers who live in this area. The Cairns Campus of James Cook University is located 15 kilometres north of the Cairns central business district, in the suburb of Smithfield. JCU moved to this location from its original inner-city site in 1995. In 1970 the church purchased the former Colne Road Methodist Church and renamed themselves and the building to Queensgate Pentecostal Church. The congregation stayed at this location for 35 years until 2005 when they purchased Gannow Baths on Sycamore Avenue, a closed down, government owned public leisure centre and surrounding fields. The House at 35 Temple Street in Somerville, Massachusetts was one of the few 18th-century houses in the city. The 2.5-story wood frame house was probably built between 1750 and 1780, and had retained most of its Georgian features, including a steeply pitched gambrel roof. The house was probably moved to this location from Broadway or Mystic Avenue in the 19th century. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Bigelow is locally prominent as a leading member of the school board, and as a driving force behind the creation of the Newton Free Library and Newton Cemetery. At the time of his tenure, Newton's schools were recognized as among the nation's most progressive. Bigelow Terrace and the Bigelow Middle School are named in his honor. The house was moved from Washington Street to this location in 1895, occasioned by the widening of the railroad right-of-way next to that road.
A fictional depiction of the consumption of monkey brains is shown in the 1978 mondo film Faces of Death, directed by John Alan Schwartz. The scene depicts an Eastern-themed restaurant with patrons seated around a table watching a belly dance. A narrator explains that these are tourists who have come to this location to consume "the house specialty." The proprietor signals for a server to bring out a monkey, which is then secured inside a pen built into the table.
Wikstroemia skottsbergiana (also called Skottsberg's false ohelo and Skottsberg's wikstroemia) is a species of flowering plant in the Thymelaeaceae family. It is endemic to the island of Kauai in Hawaii, but its range has been severely reduced due to habitat loss. Only one small population of 30 individuals is known, but access to this location has not been permitted to conservationists since 2000, and the habitat surrounding this area has become heavily degraded over the years, raising fears that it may be extinct.

The two story brick building is unusual for standing detached in the large square. It served as the home of the confraternity of the tanners and furriers, founded in 1311, and who had moved from Cannaregio to this location in 1725. Patnitop: Patnitop or Patni Top is a hilltop tourist location in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir state of India on National Highway 44 112 km (70 mi) from Jammu on the way from Udhampur to Srinagar. Situated on a plateau in the Shivalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop sits at an altitude of 2,024 m (6,640 ft). The river Chenab flows close to this location. Nathatop: Nathatop is in Udhampur District, and has views of snow coated hills specially during winters.
The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is located at 215 S. Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The granite building with a domed clock tower was the El Paso County Courthouse building from 1903 to 1973. The museum, which moved to this location in 1979, has fine arts, artifacts and archival collections that document the Pikes Peak region. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and was the 2nd property to be listed in El Paso County, after Pikes Peak.

In response, Baldwin incorporated and released US$10 million worth of bonds. Samuel Vauclain wanted to use these funds to expand Baldwin's capacities so it would be prepared for another boom. Big Bone Lick State Park is located at Big Bone in Boone County, Kentucky. The name of the park comes from the Pleistocene megafauna fossils found there. Mammoths are believed to have been drawn to this location by a salt lick deposited around the sulfur springs. Other animals including forms of bison, caribou, deer, elk, horse, mastodon, moose, musk ox, peccary, sloth, and possibly tapir also grazed the vegetation and salty earth around the springs that the animals relied on for their diet.
Captain Savalette was a Basque ship's captain who, in 1607, reportedly had been fishing off Canso, Nova Scotia since 1565. Based in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Savalette had learned of these fishing spots from his father, who had in turn heard of them from his father. When Savalette met Samuel de Champlain in 1607, he stated that he had crossed the Atlantic Ocean to this location every year for the past forty two years. Captain Savalette also encountered the French explorer Marc Lescarbot.
While studies suggest that tropomyosin sorting may be influenced by the sorting of mRNAs, there is no absolute correlation between mRNA and protein location. In neurons, Tropomyosin 5NM1 mRNA was found to sort to the pole of the neuron elaborating an axon prior to morphological differentiation. The sorting of Tropomyosin 5NM1/2 mRNA to this location correlated with the expression of the Tropomyosin 5NM1/2 protein. In contrast, the mRNA encoding the Tropomyosin Br2 protein was excluded from the pole of the neuron.
Two years later, the rebuilding began. While some temple building activity took place under Samara Shah, it was only two centuries later that it picked up momentum, when in 1593, Hiravijayasuri (Chief of Tapa Gaccha) organised a major pilgrimage to this location to attend the consecration ceremony of the temple built for Rishabha by Tej Pal Soni, a merchant. Following this, there was proliferation of temples here. Most of the temples which are now present date to the 16th century.
Together with the surrounding area, known as Brownson Deep, the Milwaukee Deep forms an elongated depression that constitutes the floor of the trench. As there is no geomorphological distinction between the two, it has been proposed that the use of both names to refer to distinct areas should be reviewed. The floor of the Puerto Rico Trench constitutes the deepest point in the Atlantic Ocean. During the Five Deeps Expedition, explorer Victor Vescovo achieved the first manned descent to this location.
It is situated below the Fort Lister Gap between the two larger parts of the Mulanje Massif. Due to this location it is vulnerable for flash floods, which can easily occur during the rainy season. The most devastating one in recent history occurred in March 1991, which left Phalombe with a 2-3 meter (7 to 10 feet) high mud layer and killed hundreds of people. On this spot a monument was erected to remember the named and unnamed victims.
Wilkerson had a small store and some cottage homes. In 1885, the "Arkansas City Branch" of the Louisville, New Orleans and Texas Railway was completed to Wilkerson. The name of the settlement was changed to "Huntington" to honor railroad magnate Collis Potter Huntington, who founded the Columbus and Greenville Railway. The railway was built to this location because Huntington was directly across the Mississippi River from Arkansas City, Arkansas, which was the terminus of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway (StLIM&S;).
With the corporate name Scott & LaDue, they built a sawmill in 1868 and a grist mill in 1870. The post office from North Shade in Gratiot County was transferred to this location on August 3, 1868, with Hiram T. Sherman as the first postmaster. The name Carson City was given to the post office by Thomas Scott, who had been in Carson City, Nevada, during the gold and silver mining boom days. Carson City incorporated as a village in 1887 and as a city in 1960.

Patricia lay on her back, with her body covering her sister's head, and her own head turned sharply to the right. It is believed the sisters had most likely been driven to this location in a car, with their bodies then being dragged or lifted out of the vehicle, then placed or thrown behind the guard rail.
In 1886, seven German Methodist deaconesses moved into a small cottage in Mt. Auburn, devoting their lives to caring for the sick and the poor. Soon their overcrowded cottage became a makeshift miniature hospital. Two years later, the German Methodist Deaconess Home Association purchased a small private hospital at the corner of Oak Street and Reading Road and moved its patients to this location, marking the beginning of Bethesda. In 2000, Bethesda Oak was closed, except for an outpatient clinic, in favor of Bethesda North.

Knowing how the hematite on Mars was formed may help scientists characterize the past environment and determine whether that environment provided favorable conditions for life. "Grey hematite is a mineral indicator of past water," said Dr. Joy Crisp, JPL project scientist.
Difficulties with certain Indigenous nations and shipping at this location meant that by 1812, Fort Lisa ceased to be utilized by the MFC.W. He named this Fort Lisa, too, and shifted his operations to this location. This became the main post of the Missouri Fur Company and its successors under various names.
The museum is located in painter Eugène Delacroix's last apartment; he moved to this location on December 28, 1857, and remained until his death on August 13, 1863. In 1929, the Société des Amis d'Eugène Delacroix was formed to prevent the building's destruction; in 1952, the Société acquired the apartment, studio, and garden, and in 1954 donated the property to the French government. In 1971, the site became a national museum, and in 1999 its garden was renovated. Léon Printemps had his studio in this same building, where he died on 9 July 1945.
The initial site plan foresaw the subsequent addition of two buildings to create a grid of three connected hexagons, however, after a change in management, it was indicated that further construction in the original style would not occur. Instead a conventional office block was built adjacent to it known as "Whitehouse Station West". In the center of the building there is a park with a small lawned sitting area containing a statue given by Merck Germany. Prior to moving to this location, the Merck & Co. headquarters was located in Rahway, New Jersey.
Across the driveway further to the left are two small rectangular utility buildings that are former farm outbuildings. Other buildings on the property The cottage was built before 1830 by Obadiah Adams, and is said by longtime residents to have originally stood at a location now occupied by the Mid-Cape Highway. It was moved to this location in 1831 by John Blossom, who had acquired the Adams estate.
Ghantaghar (literally clock-tower) is a location in the center of Chandni Chowk, Delhi, where an iconic clock tower, termed Northbrook Clocktower during early 20th century, stood. The clock-tower was built in 1870 and stood there until its partial collapse and subsequent demolition in 1950s. The term "Chandni Chowk" (translation: silvery or moonlit square) originally referred to this location which later came to designate the entire street. The Ghantaghar location has been regarded as the center of Delhi, and even now serves as a center for major civic events.
In August 1991, Male moved to its current campus at 4409 Preston Highway, an educational facility that doubled the instructional, laboratory, library and campus space. Since it has moved to this location, the school has won two U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon awards. The site was previously Sallie P. Durrett High School, which became the Durrett Education Center in the early 1980s and was used by Jefferson County Public Schools Library Media Services until 1991. The adjoining Gheens Academy, which opened in 1983, was previously Prestonia Elementary School.
Bay Port was settled in the early 1860s, but it was not until the arrival of the railroad in 1886 that commercial fishing became a viable industry in the area. At about that time, Charles Gillingham and his family moved their fishing operations from North Island, located northwest of Bay Port, to this location on a man-made peninsula. In 1895, other local investors established the Bay Port Fish Company nearby. Both companies quickly grew, shipping lake herring, walleye, and whitefish via ice-filled rail cars to customers throughout the eastern United States.

Above and to the right of the Giant's head is an earthwork known as the "Trendle", or "Frying Pan". Medieval writings refer to this location as "Trendle Hill", but make no mention of the giant, leading to the conclusion that it was probably only carved about 400 years ago. In contrast, the Uffington White Horse an unquestionably prehistoric hill figure on the Berkshire Downs was noticed and recorded by medieval authors. In 2008, overgrowth forced a re-chalking of the giant, with 17 tonnes of new chalk being poured in and tamped down by hand.

This region is characterized by low free-air gravity anomaly, bathymetric depression, and a change of convex to concave trench axis geometry (which is a feature unique to this location). The gravity anomaly shows that the subducted crust has a density of 2.92 g/cm^3, whereas the surrounding South China Sea crust has a lower density of 2.88g/cm^3.; Seamounts subducted under the Manila Trench have shown to produce some notable deformation features. Well-developed back-thrust faults, microfractures and gravitational collapse are found in the accretionary wedge of the Manila Trench.
Caughnawaga was occupied by the Mohawk from 1666 to 1693. French Jesuits established a mission there, which operated for about 10 years ranging from 1668 to 1679; they taught some of the Mohawk to read and write in French, as well as teaching them about Christianity. It is now believed that the village known as "Caughnawaga" was located upstream at the "Fox Farm site" until 1679, at which time it moved to this location. Archeologist Dean Snow gives a population estimate of around 300 people for the Mohawk village.
The Art Deco furniture ordered on this occasion by the management of the Galeries Lafayette was made up of a unique set of 110 pieces. The interior was itself designated a Monument historique —an historical monument— in 1984. The SGDL brought to this location memorabilia of varied origin and pedigree (portraits, busts and autographs) representing almost 170 years of literature. For some time, the City of Vancouver and the ownership group of the Whitecaps were considering the idea to build the team a soccer-specific stadium called Whitecaps Waterfront Stadium. The new stadium was to be built over the railway tracks east of Waterfront Station on Burrard Inlet. This 16,000-seat stadium would have replaced Swangard Stadium as the home field for the USL's Vancouver Whitecaps. There was a fair degree of controversy with regards to this location; a Vancouver council session to debate the issue was extended to four nights to allow public input.
Connects East Main Street to Route 1 opposite the Hannaford plaza. The first house on the left from East Main Street, number 4, was moved there in 1964 to make way for the parking lot of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Main Street Number 22 was the home of John Fitts. Horace Stubbs, a carpenter, was the original owner of number 26. 30 Willow Street was moved to this location from near the corner of East Main Street and Yankee Drive, when it was Samuel W. It became a junction station when the Victor Harbor line opened. When the Adelaide-Wolseley line was gauge converted to standard gauge in 1995, the Victor Harbor line was isolated from the rest of the Australian National network. Shrine of Our Lady of Litmanová, situated in the northern Slovakia. Between 1990 and 1995, two young girls - Ivetka Korčáková (born 1978) and Katka Češelková (born 1977) - reported several apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of The Immaculate Purity on Zvir Mountain in Litmanová. During these religious events, the visionaries were accompanied by many priests, and now there is a Marian shrine at the place of the apparitions. Many people, not only Slovaks, make pilgrimages to this location to celebrate the Divine Liturgy and obtain water from a holy stream.
The construction of the actual camp and all the associated requirements, including the transportation of all equipment from Camp Eden, was done by Dancon itself with help from an attached Engineer Detachment and the Danish International Logistical Center. It was decided in June 2004 to reposition Dancon to this location following the doubling of Dancon's AOR (now about 20,000 km2, nearly extending all the way down to Kuwait), thus allowing Dancon to be more centralized in its AOR. Camp Danevang was handed over to the Iraqis in March 2007.
Two men, John Lively and David Huggins, and their families were the first settlers in the parts of Randolph County just northeast of that county's current boundaries. They moved to this location circa 1811, but the depredations of the Indians in 1813 forced one family to leave,History of Washington County, Illinois: with illustrations descriptive of its scenery, and biographical sketches of some of its prominent men and pioneers. Philadelphia: Brink, McDonald, and Co., 1879. the other family was murdered, and the next permanent settlers did not arrive until 1815.
The migration to Mount Kenya was occasioned by inter tribal conflicts with the coastal Swahili and Mijikenda communities. Linguistic evidence suggests their migration from as far as the Kenyan Coast, since the Mĩĩrũ elders refer to Mpwa (Pwani or Coast) as their origin. These conflicts forced them to retreat northwest to the interior of Kenya, and they settled by the slopes of Mount Kenya. They were to refer to this location as the place of the Lord, the owner of the snow ("Nyaga") or ("Njerũ" meaning white) – hence the name "Mwenenyaga" or "Mwenenjerũ".
The location first opened in 1833 as the Washington Medical College. The building was purchased by the Church Home Society of the Protestant Episcopal Church on 2 October 1857 and called the Church Home and Infirmary. Washington Medical College was the medical school connected with Washington College of Pennsylvania (now part of the Washington & Jefferson College). Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849) was taken to this location when he was found semiconscious and ill in a street gutter near East Lombard Street; this is where he subsequently died in October 1849.
The mine's founders were Alexander Aiken, John B. Pearson and Jonas Stough. They were camped on Flint Creek and their horses had drifted off. In tracking them to this location, the men were led to the discovery of the mine. Machinery for the first mill was imported from Swansea, Wales, and moved by wagon team from Corinne, Utah, the nearest railroad terminal. In the 19th century, mining was irregular. The town which grew up around the mine, Cable, Montana, boomed and busted four distinct times: 1867-1869, 1873–1878, 1883–1891 and 1902-1940.
The original Hedge's Wigwam was built at the intersection of Woodward Avenue, Main Street, and Ten Mile Road (now Interstate 696). This is one block from the Ridge Road portion of the original Saginaw Trail which traveled from Detroit to Saginaw, Michigan. This was also the original site of Rose's Tavern, the home and business of the first pioneer of European descent to settle in what would become Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. Virgil Maxim Rose came from Pennsylvania to Detroit but when a cholera epidemic broke out in 1832, he moved his family to this location.
The main idea of Wuxi Grand Theatre is based on its location. The manmade peninsula on the northern shore area of Taihu Lake and the highway bridge nearby make this location comparable to that of Sydney Opera House. Due to this location the building is an impressive landmark, rising up to a total height of 50 meters like a big sculpture from the terraced base. Its eight gigantic roof wings stretch far over the facades, giving the building a character of a butterfly, while protecting the building from the heat of the sun.
MaKami College's head office is located in a 110,000 sqft. space at the Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, at the intersection of Whyte Avenue and 83 Street in the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood. It moved to this location in 2019 and houses all first and second-year massage therapy students as well as workshops for students and working RMTs. Prior to being located in the Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, MaKami College's head office was located on the second floor of the former site of Capilano Mall, across from the Edmonton Public Library.
Thanks to its favourable position on the border, the castle was repeatedly attacked and hard fought for before being conquered in 772 A.D. during the Saxon Wars by the Frankish king, Charlemagne. Charlemagne had the Irminsul, a pagan religious site here or in the vicinity, destroyed. In 779, he charged the Fulda abbot, Sturmius, with mission service in this area and directed him to this location. As early as 784/785 Charlemagne overwintered at Eresburg and had a church built, probably on the site of the former Saxon temple.
Pen Rhionydd is named as the location of King Arthur's northern court in a Welsh triad found in Peniarth MS 54, containing pre-Galfridian traditions: > Arthur as Chief Prince in Pen Rhionydd in the North, and Gerthmwl Wledig as > Chief Elder, and Cyndeyrn Garthwys as Chief Bishop.Rachel Bromwich (editor > and translator), Trioedd Ynys Prydein: The Welsh Triads, second edition > (Cardiff: University of Wales, 1978), Triad 1. There are no other known references to this location in Arthurian literature. The same triad goes onto say Arthur's other courts were at Celliwig and Mynyw.
About the same time a tool shed that originally stood on a lot at Thirteenth and Philadelphia Avenue was moved to this location and converted into an efficiency rental apartment. The significance of this house is its association with Captain Robert S. Craig who developed and led the Ocean City Beach Patrol (OCBP), the local lifeguard organization., no photo, at Maryland Historical Trust website For nearly three decades this building served as its headquarters and a residence for summer lifeguards. It was designed by Craig and built from 1949 to 1950.
Over the years, the Yankees continued to honor players and personnel with additional monuments and plaques. After the 1974–1975 renovations of Yankee Stadium, the outfield fence was moved in, enclosing the monuments and plaques on the old fence and creating "Monument Park". A visual collection of retired numbers was soon added to this location. Monument Park remained there until the stadium's closing in 2008; after the new Yankee Stadium opened, the retired numbers, plaques, and monuments were moved into a new Monument Park in the new ballpark.
In 1886, Old Chief Joseph's grave was desecrated by local property owners and his skull was removed as a souvenir. In 1926, his grave was moved, with permission from the Nez Perce, to this location, and the stone marker was placed. In the 1930s, the Works Progress Administration funded work performed by members of the Nez Perce tribe to make a number of improvements, including the stone wall at the highway, and the retaining wall. The cemetery is a sacred place for the Nez Perce people, and is held in trust for them by the United States government.
The BEDT continued to prosper from the 1930s through the late 1950s. As a result of the condemnation of the Wallabout Market and the BEDT Wallabout Market float bridge and trackage for the expansion of the Navy Yard in 1941, the BEDT received a government contract to operate the Brooklyn Navy Yard trackage. It would transport supplies to the Brooklyn Navy Yard from the mainland U.S. This was to include steel for shipbuilding, coal for the forges and power plant, forged naval rifles for the warships, among many smaller items. As World War II escalated, so would rail traffic to this location.
Hall Tavern is an historic tavern at 20 Gray Gardens West Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Now converted to residential use, this two story Federal style wood frame building was built in sometime in the late 1790s in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and was moved to this location in 1930. The building is one of a number that were moved in order to preserve them in the early decades of the 20th century, and it is now one of the centerpieces of the Gray Gardens subdivision. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Prior to an overt eye movement, where the eyes move to a target location, covert attention shifts to this location. However, it is important to keep in mind that attention is also able to shift covertly to objects, locations, or even thoughts while the eyes remain fixated. For example, when a person is driving and keeping their eyes on the road, but then, even though their eyes do not move, their attention shifts from the road to thinking about what they need to get at the grocery store. The eyes may remain focused on the previous object attended to, yet attention has shifted.
The Benét House is centrally located on the Summerville campus of Georgia Regents University, and is one of a cluster of buildings that formerly made up part of the Augusta Arsenal. It is a two-story brick structure, built on a side hall plan, with a two-story porch wrapping across the front and around one side. The building's interior includes finishes from all periods of its occupation, and its exterior has also been added to and altered several times. The house was built in 1827–29, after the federal government decided to move the Augusta Arsenal to this location.
The other is a three-story wood frame house, built in Hyde Park by Frederick A Eustis II in the 1890s and moved to this location in 1910. Standing across the street from each other are a stable and gatehouse, both built out of uncoursed stone. These were designed by William Ellery Channing Eustis and built in the late 19th century; the stable is now in separate ownership and has been converted to residential use. The main house stands well back from the road, and is now accessed via a drive located south of the gatehouse.
In Autumn 1950 Honda bought a former sewing machine plant in Kita ward in Tokyo, outfitted it for production of D-Types and installed a conveyor system to speed assembly. Assembly of the D-Type was moved to this location. Honda received a Bicycle Industry Grant of ¥400,000 from Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) in October 1950 and an additional ¥100,000 Bicycle Innovation Grant in December, which enabled Honda to increase production of the D-Type to 167 units per month by the end of the year and 300 units per month after that.
Parke-Davis moved its facilities to this location along the Detroit River in the 1870s to take advantage of the transportation provided by the river and nearby rail lines.Parke-Davis and Company Plant and Research Laboratory from the National Park Service. The company eventually built 26 still-extant buildings in the area; the Park-Davis campus as a whole, now known as the Stroh River Place is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. However, the most significant structure in the group, the Parke-Davis Research Laboratory, is individually recognized as a National Historic Landmark.

The Rupes Nigra ("Black Rock"), a phantom island, was believed to be a 33-mile-wide black rock (Mercator actually describes the rock's circumference as 33 "French" miles) located at the Magnetic North Pole or at the North Pole itself. It purportedly explained why all compasses point to this location.
After getting a case of soft drinks from the ship's stores and dry clothes for the chief officer they waited several hours in the switchboard room, until the rising water forced them to move to the aftmost part of the engine room next to the propeller shaft. Even before the accident the chief engineer had planned to find his way to this location in case the vessel capsized because there was no double bottom and, once free of its cargo, the combination would stay afloat upside-down. After 20 minutes they heard someone banging the hull outside the ship.
Until 1971 London Transport operated a bus depot known as "Twickenham Garage" (coded AB) which was located in Cambridge Road, East Twickenham. The relevant destination blind for garage journeys always referred to this location as Richmond Bridge, which was close by. On closure, all its routes and vehicles were transferred to Fulwell bus garage, but the building remained under the ownership of London Transport until the mid-1990s when it was demolished to make way for a housing development. Fulwell Garage was previously known as Fulwell Depot and was originally the base for London United Tramways in south Middlesex.
To that end, a decision was made to procure Monkstown Park in 1949 and to move the entire secondary department to this location. The school then in effect split, with the secondary department (now known as CBC Monkstown) moving location while the primary school (known as C.B.S. Eblana Avenue) remained at the original site. A private junior school was then opened at the Monkstown College with Eblana Avenue taking secondary students again from 1954. The ethos of the majority of Christian Brothers schools in Ireland in the early 20th century was a strongly nationalist and Gaelic one.
While surveying Trikuta hill, a massive triangular rock rising more than 75 metres out of the surrounding sands, as a more secure location for a new capital, Rawal Jaisal met a sage called Eesul, who was staying on the rock. Upon learning that Jaisal was of Yaduvanshi descent, Eesul told him that according to ancient mythology Krishna and Bhima had come to this location for a ceremony, where Krishna had prophesied that a descendant of his Yaduvanshi clan would one day establish a kingdom here. Eesul showed him a spring which Krishna had created and his prophecy carved into a rock.Crump and Toh.
The Noble fountain at the Reserve Avenue end of the Promenade moved to this location in 1957. The Maurice Spring fountain and retaining wall just north of the Maurice Bathhouse was completed in 1903. The original main entrance to the reservation was between the Maurice and Fordyce bathhouses directly below the Stevens Balustrade, at about the center of Bathhouse Row. The two bronze federal eagles on their stone pillars still stand guard over the old entrance, forming a gateway to the concrete path that leads between the two bathhouses up to the baroque double staircase of the balustrade.
Buddha and Bodhisattva images carved out of rock, at Longmen In 832, Bai Juyi repaired an unused part of the Xiangshan Monastery, at Longmen, about 7.5 miles south of Luoyang. Bai Juyi moved to this location, and began to refer to himself as the "Hermit of Xianshang". This area, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples carved out of the rock. In 839, he experienced a paralytic attack, losing the use of his left leg, and became a bedridden invalid for several months.
This station is unique on the National Rail network in that there is no public access into or out of the station − it exists purely as an interchange between the Island Line and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.Smallbrook Junction − South Western RailwayStation facilities for Smallbrook Junction − National Rail Enquiries The station was built in 1991 − the same year that the steam railway was extended to this location. Despite the station's name there is no longer an actual junction here, as the two railway lines are not physically connected to each other. The next station on the line is .
Borden was ill in her last year following the removal of her gallbladder; she died of pneumonia on June 1, 1927, in Fall River. Funeral details were not published and few attended. Nine days later, Emma died from chronic nephritis at the age of 76 in a nursing home in Newmarket, New Hampshire, having moved to this location in 1923 both for health reasons and to avoid renewed publicity following the publication of another book about the murders. The sisters, neither of whom had ever married, were buried side by side in the family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Rice Fork Eel River at Crabtree Hot Springs trailhead At one time, there was a historic Native American trail from the springs to Twin Valleys and on to Bartlett Springs. The Crabtree family built the first wagon road from Twin Valleys to Crabtree Hot Springs, and helped build the present road from Twin Valleys to Bartlett Springs. The Crabtree family all moved from the Crabtree Hot Springs area before 1900, and the road to this location was abandoned and soon became impassable. Packwood reopened the wagon road which at that time only went as far as the springs.
It has been inferred that one of the bas reliefs in this stretch, the central figure, unrecognizably damaged, could be that of Shiva as an ascetic, similar to the bas relief seen in Angkor Wat temple. The meaning of the crocodile carving seen here has not been ascertained. Near to this location, a boulder has been carved as a frog. The pond, in a rectangular shape, filled with water at all times, has many "Reclining Vishnu" carvings on the walls, and here again, a pair of crocodiles are carved but with their tail held by women.
The first mention of a castle appears in documents dated 1336, when a partisan of the Northern Court, Soga Sadamitsu, is recorded as having built a fortification at this location. In 1571, Ōura Tamenobu gathered his forces at this location prior to storming Daibutsugahana Castle. In 1594, he moved his seat from Ōura Castle to this location, but later found it to be weak in defenses, and transferred to the newly built Hirosaki Castle in 1611. In 1615, in accordance with the Tokugawa shogunate's regulations that each daimyō could maintain only one castle, the fortifications were destroyed.
The Chinese built aqueduct wall is believed to have been built around the gold rush days of Windeyer district which started in the late 1850s. There was a considerable Chinese presence in the area reaching as many as 1200 at the peak of the gold rush. There were a number of gold strikes, and the strike nearest to this location was the strike at "Deep Crossing". Whether the Chinese were the first or only prospectors in this vicinity is not known, but they often reworked claims that had been already left by Europeans, and this may have been the case here.
The song is closely associated with the geographical area of the valley of the Yarrow Water that extends through the Scottish borders towards Selkirk. Almost all versions refer to this location, perhaps because the rhyming scheme for multiple verses, in most versions, relies on words which more or less rhyme with "Yarrow": "marrow", "morrow", "sorrow", "thorough", "narrow", "arrow" and "yellow" for example. The song is believed to be based on an actual incident. The hero of the ballad was a knight of great bravery, popularly believed to be John Scott, sixth son of the Laird of Harden.
The garden was laid out in the Genroku era of the Edo period (1668-1703) at the residence of the Seitō family, to commemorate the visit of a court noble, Fujiwara Tadanaga, to this location to plant a keyaki tree. The Seitō family claimed descent from Seitō Morihide, a retainer of Hōjō Tokiyori in the Kamakura period. According to legend, Hōjō Tokiyori had an affair with a lady- in-waiting named Karaito Gozen. This incurred the wrath of his wife, and fearing for Karaito Gozen's safety, he entrusted her to Seitō Morihide with orders to hide her in a distant location with promises that they would eventually be reunited.
The origins of the school started in the 1890s (probably 1893), when sisters Emma and Jane Moody started a private nursery school for boys and girls, located in their house in Iffley Road, east Oxford. By 1898, the school had moved to a cottage in Cowley Place, south from The Plain, on the River Cherwell close to Magdalen Bridge and Magdalen College School. The school was named after the Milham Ford across the river close to this location. The original Milham Ford was used to talke stone during the building of Christ Church, Oxford, the largest college of Oxford University, to avoid damaging Magdalen Bridge.
The building is the fifth elementary school built and is on the same site of the Winona High School, which was located at the corner of Lewis Road and Barton Street until it was sold to the Roman Catholic School Board. Glover Road Public School was built to ease the congestion of Fruitland and Winona schools when the population boomed after WWII. The population boom was short-lived however, and the school closed in 1982. In 2009, the school building located at Lewis Road and Barton Street that was originally Winona High School was demolished with plans to relocate Winona Public School to this location.
It is a 2-1/2 story Greek Revival house, with a sidehall plan and a columned porch that wraps around two sides of the house. The oldest portion of the house is believed to date to 1709, when an even older structure burned and was immediately rebuilt (suggesting that the house may have even older timbers). The house was thereafter added to numerous times, and was moved from its original location on Centre Street to this location in 1909. The area where it stands was held in the Hyde family for eight generations, until George Hyde sold the remaining farmlands for development in the late 19th century.
Display windows continue to be maintained along Fulton Street, and the elevator bank in the middle of the street floor continues to evoke hints of this building's elegant past. The passenger elevators at this location were among the last in all of New York City to be converted from manual operator to automatic use. Macy's has continued to reaffirm its commitment to this location. On July 16, 2014, Women's Wear Daily' reported that Macy’s had stopped the renovation of its Brooklyn flagship while it considered possibly selling the property, which could be worth $300 million from a developer looking to turn it into condominium apartments.
The Camp Crowder Gymnasium is a historic school building at 205 Shiloh Drive in Sulphur Springs, Benton County, Arkansas. It is a tall single-story wood frame structure, covered in weatherboard, with normal-height single-story shed-roofed sections running the length of the building. It was built in the early 1940s at Camp Crowder, a military base in Missouri, and moved to this location in 1948 by the Brown Military Academy of the Ozarks. The complex which it is a part of has gone through a variety of institutional ownership changes, with the building continuing to serve as a focus of recreational activities.
The town of Nitro—Giant was established in 1892 as a company town by the Giant Powder Company. The company moved its manufacturing facilities to this location, after a factory explosion demolished the two previous plants in Glen Canyon in San Francisco, and on the Cerrito de San Antonio (renamed Albany Hill in 1909) in the then unincorporated northwest corner of Alameda County adjacent to the city of Berkeley. The Giant Powder Company was the first company in America to produce dynamite.California Historical Landmarks: Nitro—Giant Giant Powder Company's main rival, Hercules Powder Company, was located nearby at what became the town of Hercules.
The song's lyrics tell a story set in a future in which many classes of vehicles have been prohibited by "the Motor Law". The narrator's uncle has kept one of these now-illegal vehicles (the titular red Barchetta sports car) in pristine condition for some "fifty-odd years" and keeps it hidden at his secret country home (previously a farm before the enactment of the aforementioned Motor Law). Every Sunday, the narrator sneaks out to this location and goes for a drive in the countryside, which he describes as "his weekly crime". During one such drive, he encounters a "gleaming alloy air car" that begins to chase him along the roads.
The 13th-century 'castle' was a wooden motte and bailey built by the MacDuffs, Thanes of Fife. A substantial higher resistance anomaly 17 x 4.7m was noted to the north west of the survey area, possibly representing wall foundations. A further area of the East Links adjacent to Castle Hill was surveyed but nothing of note was detected. An open access dig, to the west of the Castle Hill outwith the scheduled area, showed a depth of sand deposits with several bands of soil growth and blown sand with one event at c0.8m which contained a large number of ‘live’ shells transported to this location by a large storm.
Cass calls for an evacuation shuttle only to learn one has already been dispatched. The Doctor orders it to turn around, believing the ghosts have a nefarious purpose. The Doctor is able to lure the ghosts into the Faraday cage, and with Cass's help, can read what they are chanting: "the dark, the sword, the forsaken, the temple". The Doctor determines these are galactic coordinates pointing to this location, and believes that the ghosts are killing the crew and trying to draw more victims to boost the strength of the broadcast of this signal; however, only those that have seen the glyphs in the ship are susceptible to the ghosts' influence.
This had been the hunting grounds of the Osage Indians who were known to have camped at nearby Spring River, about to the south. Their lands to the east had been previously purchased by the government in 1808 (Treaty of Fort Clark) and other tribes had been moved to this location as well, and then later all were moved again to the Osage Nation areas elsewhere. Notwithstanding, a few that possibly returned or had simply refused to leave could still be seen trading in Avilla and the nearby towns throughout the Antebellum Period. Flying steadfast over Avilla, 33 stars graced Old Glory at the onset of the American Civil War.
The school was founded in 1868 as Kent High School and was first housed at the Franklin Township Hall until the completion of the Union School building in March 1869. In 1922, the school was moved to a new facility named for U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt on a campus, which would serve as the high school until 1959. Following completion of a new building on a larger campus along North Mantua Street in northern Kent, Roosevelt was moved to this location. The building has had a number of additions made beginning in the mid-1960s and contains nearly 70 classrooms, a library, gymnasium, auditorium, and indoor pool.
In subsequent years the observatory grew to house several more telescopes and instruments, such as the 24-inch Burrell Schmidt telescope, as well as an astronomical library and public lecture hall. In the 1950s, it became apparent that the light pollution from Cleveland was beginning to make cutting-edge research impossible from the East Cleveland site. A new site was constructed 30 miles to the east in Geauga County, known today as the Nassau Station, and the Burrell Schmidt telescope was moved to this location. In order to compensate for the move, a 36-inch telescope was soon installed at the Taylor Road facility.
Shortly after, Fahys relocated the original plant to Sag Harbor, Long Island. It has been suggested that Fahys was able to move to this location only as a result of the socio-economic changes brought about by the Great Fire of Sag Harbor in 1877. The business was officially incorporated in 1881, when Fahys went into partnership with his son-in-law Henry Francis Cook. The watch plant in Sag Harbor was titled ‘The Fahys Watch Case Co.’, while the firm in New York remained under the name ‘Joseph Fahys & Co.’ The corporation absorbed the Brooklyn Watch Case Company and the Alvin Manufacturing Company of New Jersey.
In 1993 the Sophia Children's Hospital also moved to this location. In the same year, also the Daniel den Hoed Clinic (Daniel den Hoedkliniek) - a main Dutch oncology center named after Daniël den Hoed, the founder of radiotherapy in the Netherlands - became part of the Academic Hospital Rotterdam. On 1 June 2002, the Dijkzigt Hospital, the Sophia Children's Hospital, the Daniel den Hoed Clinic, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, all formally merged into the current Erasmus University Medical Center (Erasmus MC), which is affiliated with Erasmus University Rotterdam. Erasmus MC started in May 2009 with a major new construction and renovation project at their location.
It is an autobiographical book by Leadbeater; it was first published in 1930. Spiritualism and Theosophy Leadbeater tells that he was interested always in a variety of anomal phenomena, and if in any newspaper report it was said about the appearance of ghosts or other curious events in the troubled house, he had been going immediately to this location. In a large number of instances it was a blank — "either there was no evidence worth mentioning, or the ghost declined to appear when he was wanted." Sometimes, however, there were signs of some success, and soon he had collected "an amount of direct evidence" that could easily convince him.
Place Beauvau is best known for the Hôtel de Beauvau, built by the architect Nicolas Le Camus de Mézières around 1770 for the prince, Charles Juste de Beauvau-Craon. In 1859, the Government of France purchased the building and installed the French governor-general of Algeria there. However, Victor Fialin, the duke of Persigny, who was Minister of the Interior under Napoleon III, arranged for his ministry to be moved from the Rue de Grenelle, in the 7th arrondissement, to this location. The Hôtel de Beauvau has housed the Ministry of the Interior since 1861; "Place Beauvau" is often used by French news-gathering organisations as shorthand for the ministry.
The junction became highly significant as a place where passengers and goods were transhipped, where trains and crews changed and where passengers stopped for refreshments. The small town, which developed out of nothing to be a significant railway service centre, where many families were sustained by the income derived from railway related employment. The scale and grandeur of some of the buildings reflects the importance given to this location by railway authorities in the late 19th century. The place has a strong or special association with a person, or group of persons, of importance of cultural or natural history of New South Wales's history.
Thus, the two areas reserved for these stations are not serviced and remain accessible only via a trap door five floors below ground level in an underground parking lot. The current line was realized in part by the number of lanes on the A14 autoroute, which were reduced to 2×2 instead of 3×3, as had previously been planned. Orly-Sud was conceived at the same time as the terminal, and was dug out under the building in preparation of a future expansion of the Métro to this location. However no such expansion ever occurred, and the automated Métro Orlyval instead opened in 1997 without using the location that had been reserved for the Métro station.
From the Canidrome being opened in the 1960s until late 2015, Australia supplied around 400 greyhounds per year to the stadium. Greyhounds Australasia, the racing industry's governing body in Australia, banned exports to Macau in 2013, no longer issuing passports for greyhounds to this location. The Australian Government refused to make it illegal to send greyhounds to Macau without a passport, and so the ban was ineffectual and some Australian greyhound owners continued to send greyhounds to the Canidrome. After a report on greyhound racing in Asia, including the Canidrome, with shocking footage aired on ABC News Australia, Qantas quickly stated on its Facebook page that it would no longer offer racing greyhound freight services to Asia.
Prior to the discovery of gold on the Witwatersrand in 1886, the suburb lay on farmland called Newlands that lay on the original farms called Waterval and Middlefontein. The suburb was established in May 1918 by the Johannesburg Town Council as an area for black residents and called it Newlands Location. The residents of Newlands objected to the name and during July 1919 its name was changed to Western Native Townships. It would undergo more name changes during Apartheid when it was declaimed as a black township on 2 January 1963 and proclaimed as the Western Coloured Township in July 1963 when forced removals were used to move coloured residents from Doornfontein and Pageview to this location.
Rodrigo is a young Italian surgeon who leaves Italy to volunteer at a field hospital in Syria, where there are a large number of innocent victims of violence of war as a result of the ongoing civil war. He was called to this location to help with as many of the resulting medical emergencies as possible. Just before leaving his home in Italy, his girlfriend Sofia tells him she is expecting a baby, hoping to convince him to stay. Finding himself at a very important moment in his life, in which he is becoming a father for the first time, Rodrigo's determination to carry on with his commitment as a doctor causes an argument with Sofia.
The golden hare had previously been the prize for solving the book Masquerade, by the British artist Kit Williams."Play to Win" in Retro Gamer, Issue 17 It had been buried at a secret location (Ampthill Park in Bedfordshire), the object of the game being to solve the clues in the book that would lead the successful treasure-hunter to this location and the golden prize. Several sources state, erroneously, that Hareraiser is based on Masquerade - in fact, the only thing apart from the prize that the two have in common is that both feature a hare. Haresoft was founded by Dugald Thompson, the controversial winner of Masquerade, and his business partner John Guard.
A 1998 false-colour near-infrared image of Uranus showing cloud bands, rings, and moons obtained by the Hubble Space Telescope's NICMOS camera. Uranus orbits the Sun once every 84 years, taking an average of seven years to pass through each constellation of the zodiac. In 2033, the planet will have made its third complete orbit around the Sun since being discovered in 1781. The planet has returned to the point of its discovery northeast of Zeta Tauri twice since then, in 1862 and 1943, one day later each time as the precession of the equinoxes has shifted it 1° west every 72 years. Uranus will return to this location again in 2030-31.
Building protecting the excavation site The ancient settlement of Chengziya was constructed around 2600 BCKwang-chih Chang, Pingfang Xu, Liancheng Lu, Sarah Allan (2005): "The Formation of Chinese Civilization: An Archaeological Perspective", Yale University Press and was located on a tableland near the old Guanlu and Wuyuan rivers."Chengziya Ruins Museum" by the Jinan Municipal Government The name Chengziya, literally "city cliff" refers to this location and the wall that encloses the settlement. The Wuyan River flows in the north-south direction to the west of the settlement. The Chengziya settlement had rectangular layout (400 by 500 meters, 1300 by 1600 feet) with edges oriented along the north-south and east-west directions.
In November 1945 it was sold by US army officer Bud Berman to the Rosenbach Company, rare book dealers in Philadelphia. At some point the first folio, with the first page of the Hildebrandslied, was removed (presumably in order to disguise the origin of the codex, since that sheet carried the library's stamp). In 1950, even though the Pierpont Morgan Library had raised questions about the provenance of the codex and the Rosenbachs must have known it was looted, it was sold to the Californian bibliophile Carrie Estelle Doheny and placed in the Edward Laurence Doheny Memorial Library in Camarillo. In 1953 the codex was traced to this location, and in 1955 it was returned to Kassel.
The stadium currently has a basement parking space which holds a parking capacity of up to 900 cars. It also has a height of 6.80 meters to accommodate Volvo buses for events and media to enter and park. The public transport services which currently connects to the stadium are, Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS), these buses cover almost the whole Ahmedabad city and provide a good connectivity to this location. Although there are no means to reach the stadium directly, one can reach the stadium from Kankaria Lake AMTS station or Raipur Darwaja BRTS station which are approximately at 400 meters and 850 meters distance respectively.
Brador or Brador Bay () is on the eastern shore of the namesake bay, north of the village of Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon. While known in the 18th century as Fort Pontchartrain and Phélipeaux Bay, its current name is the shortened form of Labrador. In French, the syllable la is a definite article, and in documents from the 17th and 18th century, this syllable was considered as such and separated from the rest of the name. François Martel de Brouague, the King's Commander of this region from 1714 to 1760, referred to this location as: "A la Baye de Phélipeaux, coste de la Brador" ("At the Bay of Phélipeaux, coast of the Brador").
The Tianzhu Development Zone region abutting the airport to the west contains the largest international exhibition centre in China, the New China International Exhibition Center. The International School of Beijing (ISB) is located in Shunyi District in the region known as the "Beijing Central Villas District" - the area immediately to the south of the new International Exhibition Centre - and more particularly just north of Yosemite Villas. Across the road from ISB is the new campus of the British School of Beijing which moved to this location during the summer of 2009. From west to east, the villas include EuroVillage, River Garden, Le Leman Lake, Capital Paradise, Gahood, Yosemite and Dragon Bay Villa and Rose & Gingko.
Nilesat 103 satellite is a leased communications satellite. Nilesat and Eutelsat agreed in September 2005 to lease capacity on Eutelsat's Hot Bird 4 satellite after relocating it to 7° West and renaming it Nilesat 103. The satellite has been repositioned to this location in the second quarter of 2006 after the launch and entry into service of Eutelsat's Hot Bird 7A and Hot Bird 8 satellites. Nilesat 103 joined its two existing sister Satellites Nilesat 101 and Nilesat 102 in providing Direct Broadcast Satellite (Direct to Home or DTH) digital TV channels, data transmission, turbo internet and multicasting applications to more than 15 million viewers in the North African and Middle East region.
The round shape of the Old City is still clearly visible in maps: in this 1933 map, it is labelled the "Chinese City" (at bottom). Immediately to the north, east and west is the French Concession, and further to the north is the International Settlement. The Old City of Shanghai stands on the site of a relatively small settlement in ancient times, which began to develop in importance in the 12th and 13th century due to the siltration of waterways further upstream, causing dock and market activities to move from larger upstream towns to this location. In 1267, in the Song Dynasty, Shanghai was raised to township status, with a military garrison, within Huating County.
The first references to this location date to the 11th century, and suggest a rural property of great dimensions, that were eventually fortified. During the Christian reconquest of the Iberian peninsula, the areas of Chaves (Aqua Flaviae) and Santo Estêvão were integrated into the dowry of Teresa of Leon and Castile, when she married Count Henry of Burgundy in 1093. In 1129, the region of Chaves was retaken by Muslim forces, but reconquered by Rui and Garcia Lopes in 1160, two brother- knights who offered their services to the first Portuguese king, Afonso I (1112-1185). The construction of the castle of Santo Estêvão began during his reign, his son and successor Sancho I (1185-1211).
In the late Nara period, after the establishment of a centralized government under the Ritsuryō system, the Yamato court sent a number of military expeditions to what later became Dewa Province of northern Japan to bring the local Emishi tribes under its control. After the establishment of Akita Castle on a Pacific coast, Yamato forces gradually pushed into the hinterland of what is now Akita Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture, establishing several fortified settlements against increasing Emishi opposition, and building civil administrative centers. The provincial capital of Dewa Province was relocated from Akita Castle to this location towards the end of the Nara period. The building remained in use for approximately 400 years, but is not known when they were abandoned and allowed to fall into ruin.
