However, he takes pity on his neighbor, an Old Man who is miserable without the dog, believing it to have been kidnapped. The painter makes visits to the Old Man's home, in an attempt to keep him company, but when Old Man treats him sadistically, the painter soon finds himself impulsively acting like the Old Man's dog.

The Count again draws the right to shoot first, but is nervous and misses, and the bullet ends up in the painting of a Swiss landscape. As Silvio aims to shoot, the Countess enters the room. Silvio takes pity on her and instead of firing upon the Count, shoots the painting in almost exactly the same spot as the Count.

As Hess and his cadre of USAF instructors train the South Korean pilots, young orphaned Korean refugees begin to gather at the base - first a few, but soon dozens. Hess takes pity on the children and orders them to be fed. Soon, he solicits the aid of two Korean adults, En Soon Yang and Lun Wa, and establishes a shelter for the orphans in an abandoned Buddhist temple, which soon has over 400 children. En Soon Yang falls in love with Hess, but does not tell him directly.

Dai Fai takes pity on her plight and he regularly assists Siu Wai, from taking care of Lok Lok to teaching her the ropes of minibus driving.

After Hephaistos, Kratos and Bia have left, the chorus of the daughters of Okeanos appears; they assures him of his friendship and inquire about the reason for this punishment. Prometheus tells about his fight against Kronos, helping Zeus to overthrow his father through cunning and cleverness. Zeus then passed the offices, but did not think of the humans, so that only Prometheus came to their support; he gave them the fire, hope and the art of prophecy.

When finally Thecla is put to torture, Severian takes pity on her and helps her commit suicide by smuggling a knife into her cell, thus breaking his oath to the guild. Though Severian expects to be tortured and executed, instead the head of the guild dispatches Severian to Thrax, a distant city which has need of an executioner. Master Palaemon gives Severian a letter of introduction to the archon of the city and Terminus Est, a magnificent executioner's sword. He departs the guild headquarters, traveling through the decaying city of Nessus.

Drew finds the restaurant, but soon learns that he does not have enough money for food. Drew realizes that McDonald's is an international company and believes they can help him return home and asks for the manager's (Ming Lo) help. After Drew sings a McDonald's jingle, the manager takes pity on him and gives him the phone number of their customer service line and offers to buy him some food. Elated, Drew runs up the stairs of the Temple of Heaven, but gets winded before reaching the top and lays down on a stone carving.

There they are bought by the alchemist Yhakobin who hopes to use Alec's Hâzadrielfaie blood to create a rhekaro, a sexless creature that can heal everything and prolong life. The first doesn't meet his expectations and he has it butchered. Alec takes pity on the rhekaro and hates Yhakobin for torturing and killing it, and is determined to save the second one from a similar fate. Increasingly, Alec feels paternal towards rhekaro, who has Alec's own face - reminding himself of the Dragon Oracle's prophecy that he would "beget a child of no woman".

When Richards robs him, Pasqual responds by helping Richards find a job. Richards dies while trying to rescue young Dickie Chester (Dickie Moore) from illicit gambling, and Pasqual takes in Chester and his mother (Lois Wilson). Big Joe Reardon (Henry Clive) is unsuccessful in using public displays of charitable good deeds to fool Pasqual into believing that he's not the neighborhood crime boss, so he has the barber shop destroyed.

Robert takes pity on the little man and befriends him. After a night of drinking with Deakon and Ed at his expense, and learning from Benny that Gladys was thrown from the houseboat, the drunken Robert calls his editor and reports the details. Waking up the next morning with no memory of the evening's events, Robert finds that his story has scooped the other newspapers and that he is being hailed as a true newspaperman. Robert's byline story leads Floyd to believe that the reporter has the goods on him, and he orders him eliminated.

While imprisoned they fall in love and produce a son. Refused permission to marry, Susannah (along with all the women) is to be sent alone in the First Fleet to Australia. When Susannah's son is refused passage at quayside a guard (John Simpson) takes pity on her and travels with the infant to London to appeal to the home secretary, Lord Sydney. Sydney, affected by the incident, orders that Cabell and Holmes should be reunited, married on English soil, and transported together with their son (although they were not married until their arrival in Australia).

PJ Brennan (pictured) plays Doug who takes pity on Lynsey, showing her kindness and friendship during Silas' final game with Lynsey. It was revealed Silas would take his torment of Lynsey to a new level when he makes her play a "sick game". Silas tells Lynsey she has until Halloween to guess who his next victim will be and if she succeeds he will confess to the police but if Lynsey fails Silas will kill his intended victim. Spoiler pictures released indicated that Silas had lined Lynsey up as one of four potential victims.

Lord Paddington takes pity on Ollie and employs him to be his personal valet. The transformed Stan is super-human in intellect and body: his mantle is covered with athletic trophies, and his advice is sought by Albert Einstein. He nicknames Ollie "Fatty" and criticises him, which makes Ollie so angry he quits his job and storms out. Stan hears students come to cheer him outside and as he looks out of the window it falls on his head once again, returning him back to his usual dumb self.

Lew Marsh is a good newspaper reporter with a bad habit; he drinks too much and is fired. He also loses the woman he loves, colleague Paula Arnold, after passing out drunk one day in the street. An ex- alcoholic, Charley Dolan, takes pity on Lew, offering him a room at his apartment and finding him a job with a construction crew. Lew is tempted to have a drink when he learns that Paula has married another man, Boyd Copeland, the nephew of Lew's former boss at the newspaper, John Ives.

His painful laments for his sons represent one of the most emotional in all of Castilian epic traditionCarlos Alvar y Manuel Alvar (1997), pp. 175-176 Almanzor takes pity on him and merely has him imprisoned.

Sok takes pity on Khuon and allows him to try to find Sovanh, but by the time he arrives, the children have been moved again. Throughout, Sovanh lives on with his grandma, and a girl he befriends at his work camp. Horrific deaths unfold around him, and the girl eventually sacrifices herself to allow Sovanh to avoid capture while they steal food. Unable to stand it any longer, Meng makes a break for the border - Khuon runs after to wish him luck, but is caught by the a Khmer Rouge guard.

The plot of the film centers around a salesman named Ron (portrayed by Ron Masak) who is trying to make a sales pitch to legendary NFL coach Vince Lombardi. Ron is not very good at his job, and fumbles ineffectually through his sales pitch. Coach Lombardi takes pity on him, and spends the rest of the film teaching him his personal philosophy, known as "The Second Effort". The sport of American football is used as a metaphor, and lessons on the football field are applied to Ron's own job in sales.

Yana Lumb, played by Jayne Bickerton is Cilla Battersby-Brown's (Wendi Peters) best friend and in a way is usually involved in Cilla's scams and plots. Yana works with Cilla in Wong's chip shop on Rosamund Street until its closure in 2007. Yana ends up going on Cilla's honeymoon with her instead of Cilla's husband Les Battersby (Bruce Jones), who is in trouble with Cilla for trashing all the wedding presents at the reception. Yana takes pity on Les in late November 2006, when he reveals his suspicions of Cilla having an affair.

Jorah encounters the exiled Tyrion Lannister in a brothel in Selhorys and abducts him, hoping to return to Daenerys' graces by presenting a Lannister captive as a gift. In Volantis they encounter the dwarf Penny, whom Tyrion takes pity on and is allowed by Jorah to accompany them. During their voyage to Meereen, their ship is disabled by a storm and later seized by slavers, and Jorah is badly beaten and branded trying to fend them off. Graham manages to save his kingdom, but is poisoned in the process, and Manny tries to exact his final revenge; Mordack takes pity on Graham (as he had been manipulated and abused by Manannan as well) and saves the king. The former rivals become friends. The framing story takes place in the last weeks or months of Graham's life while he is bedridden from the poison in Chapter 5. King Graham is relating the tales of his life to his grand-daughter, Gwendolyn, to assist her in becoming a wise and just ruler when he passes on.

Alix (Ana Reeder) is a woman living in New York City who is fighting a losing battle with heroin and cocaine addiction. Her boyfriend Mark (Christopher Kadish) has grown tired of her dependence problems and forces her to move out of his apartment. With nowhere to go, Alix must fend for herself on the streets, and she supports her habit by stealing. Mark eventually takes pity on Alix and allows her to come back, but she soon overdoses on heroin, and a nervous Mark drags her comatose body out of his apartment and into the apartment complexes hallway.

Trim Up North is a barber shop owned by Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls). David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) opened the barber shop with the £90,000 inheritance money that Nick and Natalie Watkins (Cassie Bradley) stole from Audrey. In June 2019, David asked Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) to officially sign over the ownership of the barber shop to Audrey as a way of giving back what he stole from her. Audrey takes pity on David and hires him as a stylist with Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) being in charge of the management of the shop.

Papa Smurf takes pity on her and takes her to his laboratory, where they lock themselves in while he performed "plastic smurfery" on her in which her hair is made blonde, her eyelashes have been lengthened, and her nose has been shortened.

While he is taking a walk to think over his work, he rescues a nineteen-year-old orphan "Tweenie", the off-spring of human and Martian parents, from a gang of teenagers. The Tweenie, Max, had escaped from the orphanage where he was raised following the death of his only friend, a fifteen-year-old Tweenie named Tom. Tweenies are despised and treated as subhuman by the general population, but Scanlon takes pity on Max, and invites him into his home.

Once Mauser is healthy, she sneaks into his room to kill him, but takes pity on the suppliant Mauser, and the two enter into a sexual relationship.

"My Boomerang Won't Come Back" was a novelty record by British comedian Charlie Drake which became a hit on both sides of the Atlantic in 1961. The tune concerns a young Aboriginal lad (with Drake's signature Cockney accent) cast out by his tribe due to his inability to toss a boomerang. After months of isolation (and fighting off "nasty bushwackin' animals"), the local witch doctor takes pity on the lad and informs him "if you want you boomerang to come back/well, first you've got to throw it!" He does, and proceeds to bring down an aeroplane, which crashes with a loud boom.

In Transaction Stanisławska refers to him almost exclusively as "Aesop" for his ugly appearance, but ultimately she takes pity on him as the "slave" of his conniving and "tyrannical" father.

The story of Hero Must Die takes place after the unnamed hero defeats the dark beast Satan. While victorious, the hero is killed in battle. A benevolent angel takes pity on him and decides to grant him five more days of life, during which time he can explore the land he helped liberate and help sort out the problems of others that still linger in the aftermath of Satan's defeat: these include former companions and others who helped him on his quest. At the end of the five days, the hero dies and his soul is taken by the angel to heaven.

Jon Snow takes pity on Sam and defends him in arms training. Later on, Sam confesses his life story to Jon, who sympathizes with Sam and secretly uses his influence among the recruits (making violent threats when necessary) to protect Sam from harm. When Sam fails to progress in fight training and is not deemed worthy to join the Night's Watch, Jon persuades Maester Aemon take in Sam as a personal steward assigned to help Aemon in the rookery and library.

He finally comes across an old woman carrying sticks to her home and offers to carry her, despite the distance being over many mountains. Arriving at her home, the woman thanks Ivan, noting how handsome he must be; though Ivan notes he is still a bear and thinks she is mocking him, she explains that she is blind - which is why she didn't run from him. Returning to the woods where he and Nastya first met, Ivan comes across the old woman's walking stick and takes pity on her, vowing to return it. Nearby, Starichok-Borovichok is pleased at his selflessness and restores Ivan to human form.

Vowing revenge on Sally and Harry, he is sentenced to a lengthy term of incarceration at the notorious Dartmoor Prison. Some years later, Joe succeeds in escaping from the prison, and makes his way across the bleak Dartmoor landscape towards the isolated cottage where Sally and Harry, since married and with a young son, now live. At night he surprises Sally outside her home where she, now feeling remorseful about her role in his imprisonment, takes pity on him and offers him a hiding place.

Si-Joon attempts to live his life normally, but begins to experience recurrences involving his past life and Mu- Yeon. The last volume's last chapter reveals Si-Joon and Mu-Yeon going to the countryside for a year of getting the spoiled upbringing out of him. They encounter Doe-Doe Eun, whose adoptive parents gave away all their money and went abroad when the scandal involving Doe-Doe and her birth mother came out, and Doe-Doe had to change schools to one in this village. Si-Joon takes pity on Doe-Doe and sends her to live with Ji-Oh Yun in his parents' mansion.

In a parody of The Day of the Dolphin and The Birds, Lisa takes pity on the star attraction of Springfield's Marine World, a dolphin named Snorky, whose trainers let him be humiliated while forced to perform stunts for the crowd's amusement. After Snorky's show, Lisa sets the dolphin free to swim in the ocean. Unbeknownst to Lisa, Snorky is actually king of the dolphins and organizes the world's dolphins into an army to declare war on humanity. The dolphins attack Springfield, first killing Lenny during his whiskey-soaked night swim ("alcohol and nightswimming: it's a winning combination") and then the Sea Captain (who claims he can stop them) before marching towards the town on their tails.

Andrea is spared from this fate by one of her professors, Philo (Richard Cox), who takes pity on her due to her resemblance to a former lover. Along with her boyfriend, Andrea discovers that the staff uses classical music as a way of stabilizing the students. Philo gives her a tape to play over the loudspeaker system that he claims will stop the faculty and students from capturing her and turning her into a zombie, only for her to lose it while she is chased by the school's students. With nothing to lose, Barry plays a tape of rock music in its place, which accomplishes the desired task of stopping the students and saving their lives.

Haley, who takes pride in running an honest business, violently refuses, and in response, Zucco partially saws through a trapeze rope to be used in the Graysons' act. During a portion of the trapeze act involving Dick's parents on the same trapeze, the rope snaps and his parents plummet to their deaths in front of his eyes. Bruce Wayne, who is in the audience, takes pity on the boy, as they are both the orphaned sons of parents murdered in their presence. Upon hearing of Dick's telling of what he saw, Lieutenant Jim Gordon fears that he will have no place to go, as he is a material witness, but Bruce steps in and adopts Dick.

Lynette is happy about Tom's accomplishment, but when she learns that the job involves more traveling than his current position, she begs him to reconsider. This leads Lynette to be less than enthusiastic about the promotion when she runs into the boss's wife and relate typical family concerns about how Tom will be missing so much of his children's lives when the boss's wife asks "Aren't you happy?" The wife takes pity on Lynette, and the following day, Tom tells Lynette that the boss reconsidered.

As described in a film magazine, Betty Lawson (Ferguson), just in Arizona from New York City, takes pity on Les Artwell (Rollens), suspected of horse stealing, and upbraids 'Steel' Brannon (Jones), foreman of the Triangle L ranch, for dragging the fugitive from his saddle. Later, however, she learns that Artwell is a member of a gang of cattle thieves that is led by 'Satan' Latimer (Flynn). A raid is made on the cattle stock of the Triangle L and Steel is badly wounded in the clash between the ranch men and the outlaws. Betty assists Steel to Les's cabin but there is detained by Satan Latimer, who takes her to a cave in the mountains.

While Dam-ryeong does not remember Se-haw, he takes pity on her and sets her free. This angers the town-inn head, nobleman Yang, who had plans of exploiting Se-hwa for his own monetary desires. Yang plots to overthrow Dam- ryeong, with the help of his materialistic concubine, as he murders those in his way and spreads a rumour that Dam-ryeong is unfit to rule as he is bewitched by a wicked mermaid, allowing him to capture Se-hwa as the village falls into panic. Dam-ryeong rescues Se-hwa, who has been tortured by Yang and his concubine to extract her tears, which turn into rare sea pearls.

Nearly A Deserter is a comedic bait and switch story that follows two hitchhikers and their plan to make a few quick bucks. One realizes that the other closely resembles Willie Smith, a wanted deserter, and turns him in with the intent of helping him escape and making off with the reward money. Escaping becomes difficult, however, when Willie’s lookalike is put through a series of tests by the camp. Their plans go completely awry when Willie bakes gunpowder into the general’s biscuits. One of the biscuits explodes in the general’s face, leading him to sentence Willie to death by firing squad. The “daughter of the regiment” takes pity on Willie, and tells him to escape by letting himself be fired out of the sunset canon.

She accidentally solicits Tony on the street as he arrives in town, much to his disgust and Carol's humiliation. A policeman arrests her, but takes pity on her and helps her get a job as a waitress by strong-arming the owner of a small diner. Bill is just on his feet again when his brother Tony arrives at the apartment for a visit, with news that his prediction for Carol had been fulfilled, which he delivers with great contempt before learning to his shock that Carol has indeed become his sister-in-law.

However, the goddess Roma, who had also become embroiled in the day's events, takes pity on the X-Men for their noble sacrifice and returns them all to life, additionally commenting to them that as foul and evil as the Adversary is, he should not and cannot be locked away forever, since from the chaos he creates positive change and growth occurs. However, he was bound for an age, which Roma decreed was sufficient punishment for his crime.

Another knight, Sir Ontzlake (André Morell), takes pity on John and trains him in swordplay so that he can take on an alternative secret identity as the wandering Black Knight. The "Vikings" raid a newly founded monastery and take Lady Linet and its monks to Stonehenge for a pagan sacrifice, but the Black Knight arrives and saves her, closely followed by Arthur and his knights, who defeat the pagans and destroy Stonehenge. Sir Palamides tricks the Lady Linet into his castle to try to get her to reveal the Black Knight's identity, but John is informed of this and saves her, still in disguise. Sir Ontzlake then sends him to King Mark's castle, where a pro- Arthur woodcarver shows him a secret tunnel into the royal chambers.

Later in the episode 'Pearls Before Swine', 2Dads is berated by Buffer and XO. This causes him to start a rumor that they are romantically involved. The rumor spreads throughout the ship, until it reaches the ears of the CO, who once had a relationship with the XO. CO finally traces the rumor's back to 2Dads, and warns him that if he makes mischief again, not only will he leave Hammersley, his position in the Navy will be terminated. Buffer and XO are given the pleasure of charging him however they please. But when 2Dads tells the two of his current position, XO takes pity on him and gives him the task of recovering the stolen pearls, believed to have been ingested by a party-goer they came across tracking some pearl thieves.

Homer and Marge wake on New Year's Day with hangovers after the family's New Year's Eve celebration. As Homer takes out the garbage, Chief Wiggum, Eddie, and Lou arrive and issue him multiple citations and fines - the result of recently passed, frivolous laws intended to bring in revenue for the city when broken. Taking Moe's suggestion that he bribe a city official to clear up the fines, Homer leaves a sack full of cash on the official's desk but is promptly arrested, convicted, and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Wiggum takes pity on Homer and tells him to meet with an FBI agent, who offers to reduce the sentence if Homer will go undercover in the prison to investigate Fat Tony, who is also serving time along with his top henchmen.

Having spent all of his money getting to the capital city, and steeped in debt from the costs of his labour, he begins living on the streets outside the royal palace and buries the robe in the desert. Many years later, Mustafa spots Prince Ibrahim and desperately tries to approach him, yet despite his protests the Prince does not recognise him in his bedraggled form. One of the Prince's companions, Suleiman, who remembers the Prince requesting the robe, takes pity on the tailor and offers to buy the robe off Mustafa if he can bring it to him. Mustafa returns to the spot where he buried the robe but discovers that a local villager has sold it to a French museum and has used the millions of dollars it fetched to begin construction on the site.

She had come to Blunderstone at his birth, only to depart in ire upon learning that he was not a girl. However, she takes pity on him and agrees to raise him, despite Murdstone's attempt to regain custody of David, on condition that he always try to 'be as like his sister, Betsey Trotwood' as he can be, meaning that he is to endeavour to emulate the prospective namesake she was disappointed not to have. David's great-aunt renames him "Trotwood Copperfield" and addresses him as "Trot", one of several names David is called by in the novel.

Raiden fights Desperado's LQ-84i, an AI placed in a robot who works for Desperado but Raiden takes pity on it and has Doktor restore it under the name of Bladewolf who assists him. Raiden's vengeful obsession with Desperado becomes personal when he discovers during a mission to Mexico that Desperado and World Marshal Inc have kidnapped several children, surgically removed their brains to place into cybernetic bodies, and were planning to subject them to VR training modeled on his own. Raiden then resigns from Maverick to pursue and retrieve the children's brain cases from World Marshal in Colorado, embracing his sadistic persona "Jack the Ripper" due to his constant struggles with Sam and Desperado's cyborg Monsoon. Raiden defeats Desperado and learns that Steven Armstrong was using PMCs to distract him as he attempts to create a new War on Terror.

The following morning, Virgil arrives at work to see that Lamb is opening his own glue factory on such a huge scale that Adams will not be able to compete, and he never will make enough money to either pay his son's debts or pay off the family's mortgage. Virgil confronts Lamb about the situation, working himself into such a state that he collapses, and returns to the same sickbed at home where he began the book. Lamb takes pity on the man, and arranges to buy the Adams glue factory for a sufficient price to pay off Walter's debts and the family's mortgage. The Adams family takes in boarders to help keep the family afloat economically, and Alice heads downtown to Frincke's Business College to train herself in employable skills so that she can support the family.

Successful debt collector Chiu takes pity on a group of wannabe pop starlets when he goes to collect from the agency they are signed with. Naively thinking that he can do a better job in launching their careers, Chiu takes over the company in lieu of the debt but starts to realize he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Hoping that things might change with a strategic approach, he hires experienced talent manager Suen but with money running low and the company on the brink of bankruptcy, a dejected Chiu is soon ready to admit that his Midas touch has run out until a Korean showbiz entity expresses interest in the girls. Now Chiu has to decide whether he is willing to say goodbye to his investment and, more importantly, to a dream he has come close to achieving.

Probably most famous, however, is Pygmalion, one of the earliest conceptualizations of constructions similar to gynoids in literary history, from Ovid's account of Pygmalion. In this myth a female statue is sculpted that is so beautiful that the creator falls in love with it, and after praying to Aphrodite, the goddess takes pity on him and converts the statue into a real woman, Galatea, with whom Pygmalion has children. The first gynoid in film, the maschinenmensch ("machine-human"), also called "Parody", "Futura", "Robotrix", or the "Maria impersonator", in Fritz Lang's Metropolis is also an example: a femininely shaped robot is given skin so that she is not known to be a robot and successfully impersonates the imprisoned Maria and works convincingly as an exotic dancer. Such gynoids are designed according to cultural stereotypes of a perfect woman, being "sexy, dumb, and obedient", and reflect the emotional frustration of their creators.

Canon 4 outlines punishments for a man who is suspected of committing adultery with the wife of another man; first, he is to be forbidden from visiting the woman, and if he visits her again, he is to come before the church and be subjected to the ordeal of hot iron to prove his innocence. If he is proven to have committed adultery, canon 5 decrees that "eviretur" - he should have his penis cut off - and then he should be exiled. The punishment for the adulterous woman is mutilation of the nose, a familiar Byzantine punishment, unless her husband takes pity on her, in which case they should both be exiled. Canon 6 deals with a similar situation for clerics: if a man suspects a cleric from visiting his wife, the cleric should firstly be forbidden from visiting her; a second offense should be pointed out to a church magistrate, and a third offense will result in the deordination of the cleric.

In order to achieve a documentary feel for the footage, the film was shot in 16 mm film by Danny Cohen. The DVD includes an extra film titled Just Another Day, which is more hopeful and upbeat in tone, and focuses on how every day events, such as being offered a lift by a taxicab driver, present opportunity and hope for her future. Just Another Day depicts the same chain of events, but from the perspective of the taxi driver who brings the Scummy Man to Nina, who takes pity on her as she reminds him of his own daughter who died young and would have been the same age as Nina were she still alive. The name of the film comes from a line in "When the Sun Goes Down", describing the "customer" of the girl featured in the song, The film won an award for "Best Music DVD" at the 2007 NME Awards on 1 March 2007.

In season 4, Buster reenlists in the Army for a sense of purpose after his mother Lucille is arrested and Lucille Austero rejects him for being unable to have a relationship rather than view her as a surrogate mother. In the Army, Buster is unwittingly made a UAV pilot (thinking he is merely playing a video game), but is "wounded" after falling out of his chair, receiving several commendations and being fitted with an oversized robotic hand that makes more powerful motions than he can control. Realizing for the first time that he has been killing people as a UAV pilot, he fakes failing his physical therapy, eventually failing the "Q Test" (cute test) in which he proves he is able to control his prosthetic when he delicately holds a kitten. After being discharged from the Army, he meets Herbert Love's wife, Ophelia, who takes pity on him and convinces her husband to let him stay with the family, suggesting he could be useful to the campaign as a poster child against wasteful government spending.

After a heated argument with her military police turned cop husband, Lawson (Michael Dudikoff); Russian immigrant house wife, Lara (Savina Gersak) storms off into the night convinced he's more married to his job than her. On her drive to a friend's house, she takes pity on a mournful hitchhiker Justin Mckay (Mark Hamill), desperately searching for a ride. Her offer of a lift to him plunges her into a night of pure terror as Justin is seriously disturbed, twisted by a tortured childhood which ended in being made to see his little sister's shocking murder and mutilation at the hands of his brutal alcoholic mother (who took a butcher knife to her head and used it like a comb) who systematically slays anyone who harms or offends him on a murderous impulse, as he captures their dying moments on his Polaroid camera. As Lawson struggles to follow Lara despite a leg in a cast, he is left for dead by Justin, but recovers and now must search the steadily darkening roads for Lara, while her deeply troubled captor Justin continues his uncontrollable slaughter-spree, rampaging through the night leaving behind carnage and fiery devastation on his path of madness.
