The Giant technology mostly resembles mid-20th century Earth, but inconsistently: significantly more advanced in some episodes (e.g. cloning, cybernetics, force fields, magnetic stunners, androids, and teleporters) and slightly behind in others (no microelectronics, hearing aids, or manned space flight). The little people's objectives are: (1) survival, by obtaining food and avoiding capture by the Giants or attacks from animals, such as cats and dogs; and (2) repair of their spacecraft, so they can attempt to return to Earth. They largely manage to survive by the help of sympathizers and stealth, making the most of their small size, plus their ingenuity in using their technology where it's superior to that of the Giants.

An editor for AllMusic rated 33 four-out-of-five stars noting the uptempo songs projected "images of a Spanish Solid Gold-like variety show" and felt that Miguel "delivers" on ballads "Nos Hizo Falta Tiempo," "Ahora Que Te Vas," and "Que Hacer" as examples. The Chicago Sun-Times critic Laura Emerick gave the album 2.5-out-four stars commenting that while Manzanero "drafted some dropdead gorgeous stunners" ballads, she mentioned that they are "smothered under the usual blanket of heavy strings and synthesizers". Alejandro Riera of the Chicago Tribune called 33 Miguel's "weakest album". He panned the album's arrangements as "cheesy, awkward and tedious" and felt they drown the "sincerity" of the lyrics in the record.

Martin Aston's review for BBC Music was positive; in addition to other tracks, Aston complimented "Get Out of Town" (Cole Porter, 1938) and "Sweet Repose", both demos he considered to be "unreleased stunners that betray [Wainwright's] show tune soul". Though she noted the higher-than-expected cost of the box set, Helen Brown of The Daily Telegraph wrote that it served as an "impressive array" that showcased Wainwright's range and hard work. Evening Standard contributor David Smyth wrote that "this luxurious treasure chest will be too deep for almost anyone apart from its creator". Smyth found the Rufus Family and Friends album to be "most charming", specifically "What'll I Do" which features the whole Wainwright family.

About early romance, its storyline included incest and suicide, and in the light of the author's Bloomsbury background, readers looked for parallels with real life. In 2004, she published Anny: A Life of Anne Isabella Thackeray Ritchie, a biography of William Makepeace Thackeray's daughter Anne Ritchie, who was a sister-in-law of Henrietta Garnett's great-grandfather Leslie Stephen, converted into Mrs Hilberry in her great aunt Virginia Woolf's Night and Day. This book was followed by Wives and Stunners (2012), about the female partners, mistresses, and models of the pre-Raphaelite artists.

Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe (; born February 6, 1993), known mononymously as Tinashe, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, and actress. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Tinashe moved to Los Angeles as a child to pursue a career in entertainment. Her notable roles included as a motion- capture model in the animated film The Polar Express (2004), Robin Wheeler in the Cartoon Network television series Out of Jimmy's Head (2007–2008), and a recurring role in the CBS series Two and a Half Men (2008–2009). Between 2007 and 2011, Tinashe was a member of the girl group the Stunners. Following their disbandment, she released the positively-reviewed self-recorded mixtapes In Case We Die (2012) and Reverie (2012).

In a review for the Lexington Herald-Leader, Walter Tunis describes All Things Must Pass as "the finest solo album ever issued by a Beatle" and an album that "belongs in everyone's record collection". Reverie is the second mixtape by American recording artist Tinashe, first released September 6, 2012 via her official website. The mixtape followed the release of her debut mixtape In Case We Die which came after a four-year stint as lead singer of dance-pop group The Stunners and her array of non-album singles, including a collaboration with producers OFM, "Artificial People", in 2011. As executive producer, Tinashe enlisted a variety of musical producers to work with her on the mixtape, including Wes Tarte, BMarz the Producer , Nez & Rio, Best Kept Secret, B. Hendrixx, Troobadore, K-BeatZ, Daughter, XXYYXX, Roc & Mayne, and JRB The Producer. Besides being executive producer of the mixtape, Tinashe also wrote all of the mixtape's songs.

Austin made it known that he was against teaming with Angle, whom Austin saw as both a threat to his WWF Championship, as well as an annoying tag-along. Finally, a frustrated McMahon called Austin out and demanded that he bring "the old Stone Cold" back, even going as far as asking Austin to give him a Stone Cold Stunner, so he could effectively captain a team of WWF wrestlers in a ten-man tag team match at the upcoming InVasion pay-per-view in July. A dejected Austin initially refused, but on the following episode of Raw Is War he returned to his old ways and hit Stunners on every member of the Alliance, turning face again. At InVasion, Austin captained the WWF team consisting of himself, Angle, Jericho, and The Undertaker and Kane against the team of WCW's Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page and ECW's Rhyno and The Dudley Boyz.
