The Kinney Octagon Barn was a historic agricultural building located just north of Burr Oak, Iowa, United States. Lorenzo Coffin was a stock breeder and the farm editor of the Fort Dodge Messenger. He is thought to have built the first round barn in Iowa in 1867. with The modified hip roof and heavy timber construction of this barn, built in 1880, suggests that it was a Coffin-type octagon barn.

The Gilbey Baronetcy, of Elsenham Hall in the County of Essex, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 4 September 1893 for the wine-merchant, stock-breeder, agriculturalist and philanthropist Walter Gilbey. He was Chairman and co-founder of W. & A. Gilbey, wine merchants and distillers. The second Baronet was also Chairman of the family firm, as well as an influential figure in horse-breeding and sports.

Thomas Duckham (26 September 1816 – 2 March 1902) was an English farmer, cattle breeder and Liberal politician. Duckham was the second son of John Duckham of Shirehampton, Bristol and was educated at private schools at Bristol and Hereford. He was a tenant farmer at Baysham Court, near Ross and was a stock breeder of pedigree of Hereford cattle. In partnership with Thomas Treherne, he built St Nicholas Church and the city gaol, in Gaol Street, Hereford.

The grand country house is located near Taitapu on Banks Peninsula, New Zealand. The building, designed by Christchurch architect Frederick Strouts was finished in 1895 and is registered with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a Category I heritage structure. Beginning in 2007, the house was converted into luxury accommodation.

Lyall married Annabella Brown (born in Glasgow in 1827) on 29 January 1849, and they lived at Tooradin station until 1854, when he took his family to Britain and started his study of agricultural chemistry. He returned to Australia in 1856 with stud Herefords, Cotswold sheep, hares, pheasants and partridges and gained a reputation as a stock breeder and was successful at shows. He pursued practical and adventurous farming practices, and also held a number of public offices. Lyall died at Harewood on 20 January 1888 and was buried in Cranbourne cemetery.

He spent his childhood in the mountains, but was orphaned at an early age and started to work. In 1926 a school was established in his aul, and he started to read and study Russian. By the age of ten he had written his first poems. After Kaisyn Kuliev graduated from school, he entered a technical college in Nalchik and saw his first publications iat 17. Alpheus Michael Bowman was born in Rockingham County, Virginia to George Bowman and Sarah V. Zeigler. His father was a successful farmer and stock-breeder in addition to being the county magistrate. He was raised in the country and attended local schools, as well as the New Market Academy, however most of his time was spent tending to the livestock with his father. At age 16, Bowman enlisted as a private in the Virginia Cavalry and served for two years until his capture in March 1865. He was held as a prisoner-of-war in Fort Delaware until June 1, 1865.

Taraz developed as a fortified tradecraft city on this massive transcontinental artery. Comparatively gentle climate, fertile soil and rich pastures attracted many stock-breeder and farmers. In the 60-s of the 6th century the territory of the First Turkic Kaganate section included Taraz. The Sogdian merchants, who controlled the Central Asian section of the caravan route, were interested in easier access to Byzantium, and initiated trade negotiations first with the Persians, and then with Byzantium. In response, Byzantium sent ambassadors to the Turkic Kaganate, and in the 568 the embassy led by Zemarchus and Maniach to the Muhan Khan arrived in Taraz at the court of Istemi Yabgu.

Statue of Jonas Webb in Babraham, Cambridgeshire Jonas Webb (10 November 1796 - 10 November 1862) was an English farmer and stock breeder who was responsible for developing the Southdown breed of sheep into its modern form. Webb was born in Great Thurlow in Suffolk but began farming in Babraham, Cambridgeshire in 1822. He acquired a flock of the then rare Southdowns from John Ellman of Glynde, Sussex and bred them to produce a strain of larger size, earlier maturity and improved fleece quality. By the 1830s, he had become the leading breeder of Southdowns and in the 1840s and 1850s won prizes at virtually every annual Royal Agricultural Society exhibition, until in 1860 he won all six prizes offered by the society for rams.
