The Spread Eagle was a steam-driven sidewheel riverboat that transported passengers, goods and supplies to the forts and trading posts along the Missouri River between 1857–1864. It was constructed and launched at Brownsville, Pennsylvania. The portions of the elevations between the end pavilions consist of Doric pilasters separating vertical groups of windows. The vertical window bands consist of replacement aluminum triple casement sash with trisected transoms set in the original bronze frames. To create the vertical banding effect, bronze spandrels with varying designs (grains, flowers, abstracts) were placed at the floor levels. The spandrels over the entrance doorways feature a spread eagle motif.

Bailey having admitted his guilt in the affair, said that he acted under pressure from the Company's agents, and pleaded with LaBarge to reinstate him for the sake of his family. LaBarge finally acquiesced, spoke with the inspector, and got Bailey reinstated.Chittenden, 1903, Volume II, pp. 290–291 Two years after the race on March 20, 1864, the Spread Eagle hit a snag and sank at Pinckney Bend.
Margaret Ackrill, Leslie Hannah. Behind this colonnade are a row of eleven enormous doors. A sculptured Roman spread-eagle, encircled by a wreath, emblazons above the central doorway.
Opened in October 2013, it is situated in the town centre, 10 minutes' walk from East Croydon Station. The Spread Eagle works closely with its sister venue, the Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham. Both venues champion 'big plays for small spaces' with an emphasis on new writing, supporting emerging artists and theatre companies. A calendar titled "Rare Roundabouts of Croydon", with a picture of a different Croydon roundabout each month, has enjoyed some success.

According to Hugh Clark, An Introduction to Heraldry, the term spread eagle refers to "an eagle with two heads, displayed", but this distinction has apparently been lost in modern usage. Most of the eagles used as emblems of various monarchs and states are displayed, including those on the coats of arms of Germany, Romania, Poland and the United States. Displayed is the most common attitude, with examples going back to the early Middle Ages.

Almost every house in this part of the town dates back to the 16th Century, and parts of a few buildings, such as the old coaching inn that is now the Spread Eagle Hotel, date to the 15th century. Even the apparently more modern North Street is lined with Tudor buildings behind classical and Georgian façades that were added during the 17th and 18th centuries, a time of prosperity for the town.Tudor Midhurst. The next morning, she was found dead when the next shift came on duty, still tied spread-eagle to the pipes.

Didelot was bred by his owner Sir Frank Standish. He was the second of ten foals produced by an unnamed Highflyer mare bred by Mr Tattersall. Her first foal had been the 1795 Derby winner Spread Eagle and she went on to produce Eagle, the beaten favourite in the 1799 Derby. Didelot was sired by Lord Clermont's black stallion Trumpator, who won several races at Newmarket in 1786 and went on to become a "huge success" at stud being Champion sire in 1803.
Gailey is a small village in Staffordshire, England. It is at the junction of the A5 and A449 roads, and is on the boundary of the parishes of Brewood and Coven (formerly Brewood) and Penkridge, in South Staffordshire. In the 19th century, Gailey was also known as Spread Eagle, from the name of the pub adjacent to the road junction.
She received positive reviews for her live appearances in Great Britain from The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian. Ekdahl's sixth album, "Lisa Ekdahl sings Salvadore Poe" (2000), signaled a new direction and critical esteem. As the new album's title indicates, Ekdahl exclusively sings songs written by her husband, also known as Paul DiBartolo, guitarist in New York glam metal band Spread Eagle (band), primarily in the bossa nova style. Her fragile and childish voice seems to be made for this type of music.

The spread eagle position is also employed as a bondage position in BDSM play, sometimes upside down. A standing or hanging position can be achieved using equipment such as a Saint Andrew's Cross or spreader bars but can also be achieved with ropes or chains attached to different endpoints. As a humiliation technique it is popular for forcing the subject to display their genitals and to provide unhindered access to the crotch, groin and sometimes anal region for sexual play and torture.

It can be performed on either the inside or outside edges. It is commonly used as an entrance to jumps, adding to the difficulty level of that jump under the Code of Points. It is most commonly used an entrance to an Axel jump.

Chittenden, 1903, Volume II, p. 291 Massie was subsequently made the new captain of the Spread Eagle. As steamboating was Bailey's only trade it was a serious blow to his livelihood, as he had a large family to support. About a month later, Bailey appealed to LaBarge with the explanation that he had been trying to get the inspector to reinstate him, but would not do so unless LaBarge pardoned Bailey with the recommendation that Bailey be allowed back on the river.
Among these vessels were the Yellowstone, and the Spread Eagle, both of which would eventually be piloted by LaBarge during the course of events.Martin (ed), 1906, pp. 282–283 Not content working as a shop clerk, the young LaBarge joined the crew of the steamboat Yellowstone, serving as a clerk, when the vessel was engaged in the sugar trade in the lower Mississippi River. In 1831 the Yellowstone made her first trip up the Missouri River, and was now in the employ of the American Fur Company.
Chittenden, 1903, Volume I, pp. 217-218 In the spring of 1859 the American Fur Company sent two vessels up the Missouri River, commanded by LaBarge and his brother, John, with its annual outfit of men and supplies. The Company employed its own boat, the Spread Eagle, and chartered a second riverboat, called the Chippewa. It was a light vessel and her owner, Captain Crabtree, was contracted to reach Fort Benton, 31 miles below the Great Falls, or as far past this point as was possible.
Cockfighter was a bay or brown horse bred by his first owner Mr J Robinson. He was the most successful horse sired by Overton, a son of King Fergus, who won the Doncaster Cup in 1792. The main Stafford–Wolverhampton route, now the A449 road was turnpiked under an Act of 1760. Bull Bridge, carrying the road over the Penk, was rebuilt in 1796 and widened in 1822. The improved road attracted more traffic: by 1818 there were stops by coaches on the London – Manchester, Birmingham – Manchester and Birmingham – Liverpool routes. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, opened in 1772, running straight through the parish and the township from north to south, with wharves at Spread Eagle (later called Gailey) and at Penkridge.
In 1857 they were responsible for the Gothic style chapel at Tredworth Road Cemetery, built to a symmetrical design with parallel chapels for Anglicans and Nonconformists joined by a central carriageway. It is a grade II listed building with Historic England who describe it as "a fine example of the type of linked chapels often provided in corporation cemeteries in the C19". In 1865, they designed the new Spread Eagle hotel. In 1877, Medland designed gothic style stores for the Gloucester Co-operative and Industrial Society.
Two women in frogtie bondage In the American-European bondage scene, specific terms have developed for different kinds of bondage. The terms most often used in the European bondage subculture are in English, although some bondage term come from the Japanese language, such as kata (bondage position) or musubime (bondage knot). Examples of simple bondage techniques are the "spread eagle", where the restrained partner's each limb is tied to a different corner of a bed,Wiseman, Jay: Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook. Greenery Press, , pp. 193–203.
The Glamorganshire Agricultural Society was established in 1772 at the inn. In this era, the inn served as a stopping point for those in need of changing horses, while other similar establishments, such as the Cowbridge Arms, Royal Oak, and Spread Eagle did not offer such a service. The northern side of the house once had wing attached to it during the medieval period but this no longer exists. In the early 19th century, Christopher Bradley was succeeded by Michael Glover as inn host.
The Emilie eventually caught up to the Spread Eagle at Fort Berthold and passed her. Rivalry between the two crews had been building,O'Neil, 1975, p. 30 and because Massie earned a reputation as a skilled pilot who had made previous trips in record time, a wager had been made as to which vessel would reach Fort Benton first. When Captain Bailey realized he was being beaten, he resorted to playing a desperate and reckless game, demonstrating to what extent he would go to win.
Chittenden, 1903, Volume II, p. 290 However, though the point of impact was very close to Emilie boilers, the vessel only suffered minor damage. LaBarge, observing the event from the pilot-house, was not expecting such tactics and could not believe that even the American Fur Company would resort to such a ploy when human life hung in the balance. Immediately he called out to Spread Eagle pilot to stop his engines and fall back or he would take to arms and fire upon him.

As in the tenpin game, splits can also occur in the New England and Canadian Maritimes-centered sport of candlepin bowling. As candlepin bowling uniquely allows the use of fallen "dead wood" pins to remain on the lane to be used in assisting the felling of standing pins for spare and split conversions, still the most notable split in the candlepin sport is the "spread eagle", the six-pin leave made up of the 2-3-4-6-7-10 combination, that due to the aforementioned "fit split" status of the 2-3 split in tenpins (but, with the smaller candlepin ball, the 2 and 3 pin can't be hit together with it) and the "spread eagle" almost never occurs in tenpins, with the closest split to it being the 2-(or 3-)4-6-7-10. In contrast, even more difficult splits such as the infamous 7–10 split may be easier to convert in candlepin, since fallen pins are left on the lane after being knocked down; thus, if enough pins are spread across the lane, a strategically bowled ball could knock the fallen pins into both the 7 and 10 at the same time.
With a number of steamers blocking the route, Oxford made a good start and took an early lead. The wake of the steamers caused rough water in which both crews struggled to maintain a consistent rhythm. The lead had extended by the time the crews passed below Vauxhall Bridge and was nearly three lengths by the Spread Eagle pub. At this point Cambridge began to reduce the deficit, but following a warning from Robert Coombes who was steering the umpire's boat Dolphin, Oxford's cox Garnett steered across the path of Cambridge.
LaBarge, Harkness & Co., and the American Fur Company, were fierce competitors in the fur trading business. In the spring of 1862 the two companies were about to make their annual trip up the Missouri River to Fort Benton with men and supplies. Each company, and their captains, were determined to get to the fort before the other. The Spread Eagle, owned by the American Fur Company, and commanded by Captain Bailey, departed Saint Louis first, two days before LaBarge departed in the Emilie, the faster of the two vessels.
They completed their season in the top 24 of the ISU World Ranking for ice dance. During this season, Pogrebinsky/Benoit debuted a new move, which they named the "Fountain Lift", in their Layla and Majnun-themed free dance. It consisted of Benoit skating on a deep outside spread eagle while Pogrebinsky performed an arched-back handstand on his knees. During the 2017-18 season, they again competed at two ISU Grand Prix events, two Challenger Series events, and the 2018 U.S. Championships, capping off their season with another top 24 ISU World Ranking.
In August 1995, the Board approved the first purchase of land for the new natural area: acres from Florence County at a cost of $1,400,000. Governor Tommy Thompson authorized the purchase in September 1995. Despite the barrens name, many plants and animals call Spread Eagle home. The large grasslands and barrens are dominated by scattered jack pine, red pine, scrub oak,Scrub oaks may be Quercus dumosa, dwarf Chinkapin oak (Quercus prinoides), or simply undernourished black oak (Quercus velutina), white oak (Quercus alba), northern pin oak (Quercus ellipsoidalis), or bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa).
The genus Petaurus contains flying phalangers or wrist-winged gliders, a group of arboreal marsupials. There are six species, sugar glider, squirrel glider, mahogany glider, northern glider, yellow-bellied glider and Biak glider, and are native to Australia or New Guinea. Flying phalangers are typically nocturnal, most being small (sometimes around 400 mm, counting the tail), and have folds of loose skin (patagia) running from the wrists to the ankles. They use the patagia to glide from tree to tree by jumping and holding out their limbs spread-eagle.

Popular legend holds that it was once the "Spread Eagle Tavern", an inn serving travellers between Cincinnati and Lebanon; although it sits on the old road connecting the two cities, documentation for the tavern's existence is lacking. Although a farmhouse for part of its history, it was also once a restaurant, the Colonial Farm Restaurant. The distinctive roofline serves as the origin for another of its names, "Seven Chimneys". In late 2003, the Conrey House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its historically significant architecture.

Within a competitive cheerleading routine, the 'jump sequence' is scored by technique and creativity. Choreographers use motions and formations within the jump sequence to increase creativity and performance factor, and can use some unusual arm entries, or dismounts/landings out of jumps to increase this. ; X Jump/Spread Eagle : You simply prep, swing, and jump with your arms pin a high V and your legs spread apart. He also departs from Vitruvius by drawing the arms raised to a position in which the fingertips are level with the top of the head, rather than Vitruvius's much lower angle, in which the arms form lines passing through the navel. It may be noticed by examining the drawing that the combination of arm and leg positions creates sixteen different poses. The pose with the arms straight out and the feet together is seen to be inscribed in the superimposed square. On the other hand, the spread-eagle pose is seen to be inscribed in the superimposed circle.

The cinema was established in the 1990s, to honour the director David Lean, who was born in the town. It was formed as a small, intimate, art house-style cinema to showcase the best of British film and World cinema as well as classic re-releases and recent favourites. It was established in a part of the 19th century Town Hall which had previously been used as a local studies library. It closed as a result of council funding cuts in 2011, although films continued to be shown under the David Lean banner at the Fairfield Halls and the Spread Eagle pub.

The banded stream is mainly a winter breeder, .i.e. May to August, but if its is wet enough the males also call in spring or late summer. The normal calling position is a crouched position on the ground near water below marginal overhanging vegetation, and also from 10–20 cm above the ground, gripping grass stems and in a spread eagle posture. The banded stream frog may occasionally form dense breeding choruses early in the breeding season when there are ideal conditions, however, the advertisement calls are usually individual as the calling males are scattered and situated apart from one each other.

Jim Preston reviewed the PC version of the game for Next Generation, rating it four stars out of five, and stated that "Flying spread-eagle into a cactus never looked so good." The editors of Computer Gaming World named Motocross Madness 2 the best racing game of 2000. They hailed it as "far and away the most viscerally pleasing and outright fun racing game we've played in a long time.
In 2009, Blackburn with Darwen Council announced plans for Pleckgate High School, which sits on the edge of the parish to be demolished and replaced with a 'City Academy'. The new Academy that will reportedly be a centre of excellence for business and maths, is proposed to be built on the old recreation grounds to the rear of the existing site. The plans however are expected to generate staunch local opposition from residents, farmers and conservation groups. The parish is also known for its popular local pubs, such as The Knowles Arms and The Spread Eagle, which attract young people from around the county.
The spread eagle may also be a sex position in which one partner lies on their back facing up (supine) or (less commonly) lying facing down (prone) with arms and legs spread wide apart. When the partner is lying face down, it is a variation of the doggy style position, and when they are lying face up it is a variation of the missionary position. Another variation is for the receiving partner's legs to be closed, and the penetrating partner's to be wide apart. This variation is said to be better for stimulating the G-spot and the prostate gland and is sometimes called the peace sign position.
The Vine dated back to the first half of the 17th century and was rebuilt in the 18th century, when it included stables and its own brewery. The Spread Eagle, originating in the 17th century, was altered in the 18th century; it had stabling and paddocks. A schedule from 1839 shows there were six express coaches heading north daily, to Boston, Leeds, Lincoln and York and as many heading south to London. The presence of elegant Georgian houses in Church Street and the High Street (the former Great North Road) reflects the prosperity brought to Buckden by its strategic position on the coaching route.
One of the B-sides to the debut single "Heavyweight Champion of the World" is a poem entitled "Last Resort" in which John Cooper Clarke and McClure read alternate stanzas. This poem was also duetted live when the band played live at Shoreditch's Spread Eagle in the first tour in May 2006. In April 2006, Reverend and The Makers were support to the Arctic Monkeys on their sold out UK tour, exposing the band to larger audiences and bigger venues. This was followed by their own first UK tour in May and June, selling out dates in Shoreditch, London and The Plug in home- town Sheffield on the final night.
This poses the question, is the sacrifice of many worth anything? It makes their anonymous identity more powerful than if they had recognizable identities, because they now represent the sacrifice of the hundreds of thousands of men who fought and died for the same reason. There is also a component of Christian iconography in this mural, as the central man leans spread eagle against a barricade of rocks and beams that resemble a cross, which contributes to the mural's balance but not in a symmetrical way. This is an allusion to the crucifix, with the central soldier playing the role of the martyr, which is further exemplified by his lack weapons.
Barclays traces its origins back to 1690 when John Freame, a Quaker, and Thomas Gould started trading as goldsmith bankers in Lombard Street, London. The name "Barclays" became associated with the business in 1736, when Freame's son-in-law James Barclay became a partner. See also: Barclays: The Business of Banking, 1690–1996 by Margaret Ackrill and Leslie Hannah; Cambridge UP, 2001 In 1728 the bank moved to 54 Lombard Street, identified by the 'Sign of the Black Spread Eagle', which in subsequent years would become a core part of the bank's visual identity. The Barclay family were connected with slavery, both as proponents and opponents.
A funeral service was held in the presence of members of Congress, the Cabinet, and dignitaries inside the Capitol rotunda. The silver casket was covered with a flag, a spread eagle, and topped off with red, white, and blue flowers personally designed by Harding's widow Florence. A horse drawn caisson transporting the remains of William Howard Taft from the Capitol to All Souls Church, Unitarian on March 11, 1930. The two vessels were now approaching an island in the middle of the river, with narrow channels on either side. The Spread Eagle took to passage through the wider channel, while the Emilie, passed in what Bailey had assumed was an impassable channel, which happened to be the shorter route. The two vessels were less than fifty feet apart, when Bailey, realizing he was about to be out-maneuvered and fall behind, ordered the pilot, William Massie, to intentionally put his rudder to port, and plunge the bow of his boat into the Emilie close to her boilers. The danger of a serious wreck was imminent.
The black-and-yellow guitar on the back of the album known as "Bumblebee" is buried with Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, who was killed December 8, 2004. Eddie Van Halen placed it in his Kiss Kasket at his funeral because Darrell had said it was his favorite. However, Eddie himself stated in interviews that the guitar itself was not actually used on the Van Halen II album, as it had only been completed just in time for the photo shoots for the album. David Lee Roth is shown in a cast in the inner liner notes, as he allegedly broke his heel on the third try of the spread-eagle jump used on the back cover photo.
The Stillwater Fork originates in Middle Basin, a plateau with an elevation of about and surrounded by the high peaks of Mount Agassiz, Hayden Peak, and Spread Eagle Peak. One of the Stillwater Fork's tributaries is called Main Fork, which originates in another high–altitude basin called Hell Hole. From its source the Bear River flows north cutting across the southwest corner of Wyoming passing through Evanston then weaving along the Utah-Wyoming state line as it flows north. It turns northwest into Bear Lake County, Idaho, and flows through the Bear Lake Valley in Idaho, past Montpelier where it receives the short Bear Lake Outlet Canal that drains Bear Lake, which straddles the Idaho-Utah border.

The bridge was due to open in early 1873, but the workmen building it went on strike, and a third Act of Parliament was necessary to give the company time to resolve the dispute and complete the project. Wandsworth Bridge was formally opened in a small ceremony on 26 September 1873, and a celebratory buffet was provided at the nearby Spread Eagle pub. A utilitarian structure made of mismatched materials purchased for cheapness, the new bridge elicited unenthusiastic responses; the Illustrated London News remarked at the time of its opening that "No attempt has been made to produce architectural effect, the structure being substantial rather than ornamental".Illustrated London News, 26 September 1873, quoted .

The new lineup consisted of the Grimes Brothers in their previous roles, Tolliver on drums, bassist Mark Hughes from Wheaton, Maryland (born September 13, 1951) who had previously played with Blitz, Rockinghorse and Link Wray, and a guitarist from Camp Springs, Maryland named Chris Noe (born December 5, 1951) who had previously played in Spread Eagle and Black on White. The Cherry People left Boston and returned to Washington, D.C. to play at the Keg in December 1972. At this time Noe was replaced by Wayne Tomlinson of Landover Hills, Maryland. Throughout 1973 the band played at The Bayou, The Keg, and The Crazy Horse, with appearances from former members Pick Kelly, Mike Zack, and Jan Zukowski.
Berry Wall (right) in Paris in the 1920s with his chow chow Chi-Chi Whether in Paris, Deauville, Biarritz, or Aix-les-Bains, Wall and his wife were famous members of the European social elite. Their social circle included the Duchess of Windsor, the Grand Duke Dimitri of Russia, the Aga Khan, and ex-king Nicholas of Montenegro (whom Wall called a "magnificent old darling"). They lived in a suite in the Hotel Meurice, with a consecutive string of chow dogs named Chi-Chi or Toi-Toi. This was located conveniently near the bespoke shirtmaker Charvet, where Wall had his signature "spread eagle" collar shirts and cravats custom-made for himself and his dog.
This was due to Sussex's ties with the Low Countries; in many English villages outside Sussex no hopped beer was sold well into the 16th century and later. Henry Stanton was accused in Crawley in 1602 of stealing nutmeg and cinnamon, the spices are likely to have been to flavour hopped beer rather than unhopped ale. Sussex's oldest public houses date from the medieval period including the Rose & Crown at Fletching (c 1150, mostly rebuilt 17th century), the Mermaid Inn at Rye (1156, rebuilt 1420), the George & Dragon at Houghton (1276), the George at Alfriston (first licensed 1397), the Blackboys Inn at Blackboys in the parish of Framfield (14th century), the Spread Eagle, Midhurst (c1435), the Star (originally the Star of Bethlehem, Alfriston, c. 1450).
His probably most remarkable performance he gave on 24 January 2004 at the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel: on the last jump, approaching the finish line at a speed of 137,6 km/h, he produced a straddle in the air ("spread eagle") which amazed spectators and TV commentators; nevertheless he gained a temporary lead in the race, which he finished sixth in the end.shown on YouTube-Videos - one in German followed by an interview, the other one in French Ghedina retired from ski racing following the 2006 season. He has raced a BMW in the Italian Superturismo Championship and, driving a Lola, in the Formula 3000 International Masters. In 2012 he started working with the Croatian national ski team, advising the team on the alpine speed disciplines.

They could not practice lifts until two weeks before 2008 Skate America so they worked on adding variations to their elements, such as a spread eagle entrance into a lift and a death spiral with the opposite hand. In November 2008, during the long program at the Trophée Eric Bompard, Duhamel accidentally sliced Buntin's hand a minute into the program, on their side-by- side salchow jumps, and blood dripped onto the ice; the pair stopped to get his hand bandaged and then resumed the program to win the bronze medal. In July 2010, Buntin announced his retirement from competitive figure skating. Having experienced two stress fractures, a bulging disc in her back, and a nerve dysfunction in her leg, Duhamel also considered retiring but soon decided to continue competing.
Eggenberg coat of arms Blazon: In the middle of a silver field a golden helmet-crown, trefoil shaped, accompanied by three golden-crowned, black-highlighted, red-tongued ravens, in the posture of a normal heraldic eagle each with head to crown. On the crowned helmet with black-silver coverings a golden-crowned, black-highlighted and red-tongued raven, flying up, already in the posture of a spread-eagle. It is thought that the coat of arms, which is found already on the tombstone of Balthasar Eggenberger, was granted sometime after 1479 through his relationship with Mathias Corvinus, King of Hungary. What is unusual is the prominent use of this coat of arms on the grave of a middle-class merchant citizen whose family would not achieve noble status until the next generation.
Goodison's classicizing case furniture owes much of its inspiration to the neo-Palladian designs of William Kent;Geoffrey Beard, "William Kent and the cabinet-makers," The Burlington Magazine (December 1975) pp 367-71. outstanding documented examples are the pair of part-gilded mahogany commodes and library writing- tables Goodison made for Sir Thomas Robinson of Rokeby Hall, Yorkshire, now in the Royal Collection; they have boldly-scaled Greek key fret in their friezes and lion masks gripping brass rings heading scrolling consoles at their corners.Illustrated in Beard 1977, figures 14 and 15 (detail); numerous chests of drawers and library tables in this idiom were made by other London cabinet- makers, including the succeeding royal cabinetmaker, William Vile. Goodison's shop was established at the "Golden Spread Eagle" in Long Acre as early as 1727.
The heraldry of the Portuguese Air Force was officially regulated in 1985, being largely based on the Army's 1969 heraldic standards. The 1985 Regulation of Heraldry is an update of the transitional standards approved in 1978 and replaced the previous Air Force's flag regulation of 1960, which also defined the mainly non-heraldic shields used by each unit. The coat of arms of the Air Force itself is field azur with a spread eagle or beaked and membered gules, an aeronautical coronet and under the shield a scroll with the motto Ex mero motu (from the mere motion). The aeronautical or Air Force's coronet is a variation on an astral crown, in which the pairs of wings alternate with crosses of Christ (traditional emblem of Portuguese military aviation).
The film also contains "Bombtrack" and "Take the Power Back" by Rage Against the Machine, "Cyclops" by Marilyn Manson, "Anthem" by Leonard Cohen, "The Heat" and "In Doubt" by Peter Gabriel, "If You Were the Woman and I Was the Man" by Cowboy Junkies, "The Way I Walk" cover by Robert Gordon, and "Ghost Town" by The Specials, but these tracks are not included on the soundtrack album. Also includes samples of "Leader of the Pack" by The Shangri-Las, and Steven "Jesse" Bernstein's "No No Man-Part 1". Tracks 9, 10, 13, 18, 21, 23 and 25 are assembled from various recordings and dialogue from the film. The bathroom scene of this film contains a non-credited selection from the Melvins' Houdini; more specifically the surrealist percussion track titled "Spread Eagle Beagle".
A younger son of Isaac Roper, he was born at Atherstone in Warwickshire, and baptised on 13 September 1665. He was adopted in 1677 by his uncle, Abel Roper, who published books from 1638 at the Spread Eagle, opposite St. Dunstan's Church, Fleet Street, and was master of the Stationers' Company in that year. When he was fourteen, young Roper was apprenticed to his uncle, but on the latter's death, in 1680, he was turned over to the printer Christopher Wilkinson. Under his uncle's will he received £100. on the completion of his apprenticeship, with all the elder Roper's copyrights; and having married, when he was 30, the widow of his last master, he set up business in one side of a saddler's shop near Bell Yard, opposite Middle Temple Gate.

However, their participation aggravated Buntin's injury, tearing the rotator cuff, the labrum and three tendons; he had surgery in April and the recovery took seven to eight months. They could not practice lifts until two weeks before 2008 Skate America so they worked on adding variations to their elements, such as a spread eagle entrance into a lift and a death spiral with the opposite hand. In November 2008, during the long program at the Trophée Eric Bompard, Duhamel accidentally sliced Buntin's hand a minute into the program on a move right after their side-by-side toe loop jumps and blood dripped on the ice; the pair stopped to get his hand bandaged and resumed the program to win the bronze medal. Duhamel and Buntin were the first pair to successfully land a throw triple lutz in competition.
At Holkham in 1740 he charged a large sum "for the use of three chandelier Branch to burn lights in the Greenhouse for Mr. Coke's birthday." Formerly many especially fine examples of Kentian carved side tables without provenance were attributed on the basis of style and quality to Goodison. For example the carved spread eagle side table in the Victoria and Albert Museum, W.21-1945, attributed to Goodison in Desmond Fitz-Gerald, Georgian Furniture (HMSO) 1969, plate 27. Another London carver working in a similar Kentian idiom was John Boson, to whom a series of half-octagon back-to-back library tables formerly attributed to Goodison or William Vile are now ascribed, based on a documented pair commissioned from Boson in 1735, together with a pair of giltwood mirrors, by Lady Burlington for 'The Garden Room' which was situated between the old and the new Chiswick House.
The entrance to the garden is marked by a striking neo-Norman stone arched gate which is topped with a sculpture of an eagle; this was originally a feature on the Spread Eagle Hotel on Corporation Street, Manchester, of which Fletcher Moss was proprietor. When the hotel was demolished in 1902, Moss took the eagle effigy and mounted it on his gate. The Parsonage gardens contain several large yew and cedar of Lebanon trees; beneath one of the yew trees are the graves of several of Alderman Moss's beloved dogs and – reputedly – also the grave of his favourite horse. The Old Parsonage house was open to the public during the 1970s as an art gallery devoted to Manchester art, and the orchid houses were also a visitor attraction; both were closed during the 1980s but after a spirited local campaign the Parsonage opened up in 2012 as a community centre and gallery where there is now a vibrant programme of classes, events and exhibitions and the building is much loved by the community, and well used.
The four sides of the stone column each bear inscriptions. The main side, to the north, has a spread eagle from the Great Seal of the United States, holding arrows in one claw and an olive branch in the other, and an inscription EAGLE SQUADRONS / THIS MEMORIAL IS TO THE / MEMORY OF THE 244 AMERICAN / AND 16 BRITISH FIGHTER PILOTS / AND OTHER PERSONNEL WHO / SERVED IN THE THREE ROYAL / AIR FORCE EAGLE SQUADRONS / PRIOR TO THE PARTICIPATION OF / THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR / THEY SERVED WITH VALOR / FOUNDED BY CHARLES F SWEENY, JUNE 1940 / ERECTED THROUGH THE GENEROSITY / OF THE / HEARST CORPORATION OF AMERICA / IN THE NAME OF / WILLIAM RANDOLPH HEARST / PUBLISHER. Each of the three other sides is dedicated to one of the Eagle Squadrons – 133 Squadron, 121 Squadron, or 71 Squadron – with a depiction of each squadron's crest and motto, and a list of those who served: 289 individuals, including 71 war dead. The memorial was erected in 1985, near the US Embassy in London, and close to a statue of US President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Meek's Broadway credits include Take My Tip (1932), After Tomorrow (1931), Oh, Promise Me (1930), Broken Dishes (1929), in which he starred with a young Bette Davis, Jonesy (1929), Mr. Moneypenny (1928), The Ivory Door (1927), My Princess (1927), Spread Eagle (1927), The Shelf (1926), Love 'em and Leave 'em (1926), Fool's Bells (1925), Easy Terms (1925), The Potters (1923), Tweedles (1923), Six-Cylinder Love (1921), Little Old New York (1920), The Hottentot (1920), Nothing But Love (1919), Going Up (1917), and The Minister's Daughters (1903). After years on the stage, Meek eventually became a film actor, appearing memorably in several movies, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Little Miss Broadway, and State Fair. Before becoming an actor, he fought in the Spanish–American War in the United States Army and contracted yellow fever which caused him to lose his hair. He was cast as timid, worried characters in many of his films, and is perhaps best known for his roles as Mr. Poppins in Frank Capra's You Can't Take It With You and as whiskey salesman Samuel Peacock in John Ford's Stagecoach.
In 2004, UFO released their 17th studio album You Are Here with their new permanent guitarist Vinnie Moore and Jason Bonham on drums (intermittently). UFO recorded their live set and released a double-DVD recording titled Showtime (2005) along with a double live CD on SPV in November 2005, mixing a number of re-recorded studio songs. In November 2005, Andy Parker returned to the band to play in the Piorno Rock Festival in Granada, Spain. UFO's eighteenth studio album, titled The Monkey Puzzle, was released in 2006. Andy Parker returned in early 2007 after recovering from leg surgery. On the 2008 tour, Pete Way was unable to get a work visa to enter the United States, Rob De Luca (Sebastian Bach's band, Of Earth, Spread Eagle) filling in. UFO released their 19th studio album, The Visitor, in June 2009, and followed with a tour of the UK, but without Pete Way, who was suffering from a medical condition. Bass tracks on The Visitor were played by Peter Pichl, and Pete Way was not credited as a band member on The Visitor cover, nor was any other bassist.
