In 1963, Chubby Checker held two concerts in Hong Kong. Under contract with Diamond Records, Tang was asked to perform with Checker. Owing to the language barrier, Diamond Records decided to re-write Pat Boone's Speedy Gonzales where Chubby sung in English while Tang replaced the English spoken parts with Cantonese dialogue. The puppeteer often speaks in the voice of the character of the puppet, and then synchronizes the movements of the puppet's mouth with this spoken part. Aristotle's phrase "several kinds being found in separate parts of the play" is a reference to the structural origins of drama. In it the spoken parts were written in the Attic dialect whereas the choral (recited or sung) ones in the Doric dialect, these discrepancies reflecting the differing religious origins and poetic metres of the parts that were fused into a new entity, the theatrical drama. Tragedy refers to a specific tradition of drama that has played a unique and important role historically in the self-definition of Western civilisation. Il Nuovissimo Mondo (rough translation: The brand new world) is the second studio album by the Italian one man band Bologna Violenta of Nicola Manzan, released in 2010 by Bar La Muerte Records. The album is inspired by the "mondo-movies" such as the cult-documentary of the 60s Mondo Cane by Paolo Cavara, and is full of quotations (expressed through the dialogue) that refer to the cynical atmosphere of these "mondo-movies," while there are also parts (Blue Song), which makes reference to melody. There are no real songs, but short compositions alternating moments with heavy distorted guitar riffs and spoken parts which talk about the cynicism and violence of modern man—massacres of children, violence against women, politicians' abuses—while remaining far from political or religious ideologies. After the release of Il Nuovissimo Mondo, Bologna Violenta went on a two-year tour which included one hundred and thirty dates, not only in Italy but also abroad.

After their debut show, which was originally intended to be a one-off appearance, they decided to continue, and soon expanded to a three piece with the addition of Alan Doonican #1 on piano accordion, later self-releasing two albums of folky cover versions of classic rock songs (For Those About To Rock, Gently) and 1980s Number Ones (Back To The Day Job) on their independent Moon-On-A-Stick Records label, on which they continue to release albums to this day. From 2008, the original line-up began to change direction to become a comedy/parody band by replacing the lyrics of popular songs with comedic alternatives of their own and performing in their native Yorkshire accent and dialect, the first being "Tarnlife", a re-working of Blur's "Parklife" with lyrics about the inhabitants of their home town of Barnsley. The spoken parts of the song, originally performed by Phil Daniels, were performed in 2008 by Scott’s late father-in-law, Michael White, under the moniker of 'Barnsley Mick'. The band often make reference to the word 'Tarn' in their lyrics and in titles of songs and albums, which isn't a reference to mountain lakes formed by glaciation, but a local pronunciation of 'town'.
