Although super resolution can be achieved, the dipole orientation information is lost during SPoD reconstruction. In 2016, Keller et al. argue that the improvement in resolution observed with the SPoD method is a deconvolution effect. That is, the super-resolution in the images that Hafi shows is achieved by SPEED algorithm not the SPoD method.

The EP was recorded in the home of Regurgitator's Quan Yeomans. Spod and Regurgitator collaborated on joint gigs in 2004 (advertised as "ReSPODutator") and they were recorded as part of Regurgitator's project, Band in the Bubble, during that year. In March 2007 Spod played at the annual South by Southwest festival, in Austin, Texas, It was the group's first performance outside Australia. In 2013, Hafi et al. developed a novel super-resolution technique through sparse deconvolution of polarization-modulated fluorescent images (SPoD). Because the fluorescent dipole is an inherent feature of fluorescence, and its polarization intensity can be easily modulated with rotating linear polarized excitation, the polarization-based super-resolution technique therefore holds great promise with regard to a wide range of biological applications due to its compatibility with conventional fluorescent specimen labeling. The SPoD data, consisting of sequences of diffraction-limited images illuminated with varying linearly polarized light, were reconstructed with a deconvolution algorithm termed SPEED (sparsity penalty– enhanced estimation by demodulation).

The third bore the names of two 17th-century churchwardens, John Brooker and Edward Jupp, in their old spellings: The fourth was inscribed 1626. Another countywide survey undertaken in the 1960s stated that the second bell (of 1602) had been recast by the Mears & Stainbank firm, who had also supplied a new bell inscribed and dated 1950. Richard in Your Mind are an Australian psychedelic pop band from Sydney. They were formed in 2006 by then house-mates Richard Cartwright and Conrad Richters and expanded in 2008 with Pat Torres and Jordy Lane and later adding Brent Griffin (aka SPOD) and Alyx Dennison (from Sydney duo kyü). They released their debut album, The Future Prehistoric, in December 2007 and two years later followed it up with their online only Summertime EP. Their second album, My Volcano, was released in 2010 and soon followed by third album SUN in 2011. Their latest album Ponderosa was released on 29 August 2014.

Camp Arifjan is located south of Kuwait City, and west of the Shuaiba Port (Military Sea Port of Debarkation/Embarkation, or SPOD) and Kuwait Naval Base (KNB). Camp Arifjan is divided into 7 zones. Camp Arifjan is a US military installation used as a forward logistics base, Aviation Classification and Repair Activity Depot (Task Force AVCRAD) for the entire Southwest Asian Theater (through Patton Army Air Field), helicopter ground support base, and as a motor pool for armored and unarmored vehicles. U.S. military vehicles that did not receive new additional armor plating in the United States prior to deployment to U.S. Central Command–tens of thousands–received their "up-armoring" at Camp Arifjan.

Aksu is praised by the LGBT community in Turkey and publicly assists and supports LGBT people through charity work. In 2008, she supported LGBT association Lambdaistanbul, which was closed by a court decision based on "the fact that it is contrary to general morality". In 2013, Aksu performed with transsexual actress Ayta Sözeri on stage, and later a huge rainbow flag symbolizing the LGBT movement was waved in the air, the first time that a Turkish artist had publicly shown support for LGBT on stage. James H. Chevallier, designated about 40 personnel to comprise an ADVON, and they deployed to Turkey in early February.
